A.N. Well hi, it's been a long time hasn't it. Well before you shoot me, let me explain. I had only really planned up to the zeta tube outing Nightwing in the story, so I really had no idea what was gonna be in this chappie, plus, school is a bitch. I have had this planned for about 2 months now but every time I actually sat down to write it, I lost my inspiration. I had been looking forward to the zeta calling out 'ROBIN, B01" for so long, that I didn't think of what would happen after that. Well now, I am finally forcing myself to write this because I have seen so many reviews begging me to finish this story and I made a promise. You guys have been so supportive of me and this story the whole way through, and I just want to thank you. If I hadn't had you people out there reading this and giving me feedback, I probably would have given up after chapter one.
Now that all that mushy stuff is out of the way, WE HAVE A STORY TO DO!

Previously: 'ROBIN, B01'
NO P.O.V.
Everything, including time, seemed to freeze the moment that name was called out into the air.
And then, everything started to speed up when the angry voice of a red haired alien called out for help because the black and blue clad teen in her arms was still losing blood, fast.
Once the Team, plus Batgirl, seemed to realize that the leaguers were still too shocked to help in the current moment, the jumped into action, leading Starfire down the hall to the infirmary with the Titans close on their heels.
Martian Manhunter met up with them in the infirmary. Together the two teams and the one Martian did everything they could to stabilize the hero on the table.
The ones in the room without medical training helped out where they could, like throwing away Nightwing's shirt once it was cut off or getting the makeshift doctors more bandages, and tried to stay out of the way as much as possible, eventually Black Canary showed up with the Batfamily's personal doctor, Dr. Thompkins. She stared in shock at the scars she recognized on the teens chest, not believing her eyes when she saw the crudely carved 'Joker' that she, herself, had stitched up.
The frantic beeping of a heart monitor shook her out of her stupor and she rushed to take control of the situation, telling the others what she needed and what medicine to get.
Eventually Nightwing did stabilize, but not without him almost waking up twice during surgery and people having to rush to put him back under anesthesia.
After everyone made sure he would be okay, a list of his injuries was compiled.
He had a broken nose, 1 broken and 2 cracked ribs, a shattered knee, a dislocated shoulder, a broken wrist, and to many bruises, stab wounds and cuts to count.
To say the Team was pissed was an understatement. The Titans actually had to be held back from going down into the holding cells where Slade was being held, and beating the absolute shit out of him themselves.
So, yeah, no one was happy.
Including the four leaguers who had been with the Team in Jump who still hadn't really figured out how Nightwing had registered as Robin. The original Robin, that is. The newest Robin was pounding Batgirl for answers on why he hadn't known there was a Robin before Jason.
Apparently he had been purposely kept in the dark on the fact that Jason was not the first Robin. When Tim had become Robin, Batman had told him that Jason had been the original Robin. Tim had known about Dick but believed he was still at a boarding school in England. He had seen Batman's forged registry papers and they had fooled him. But Tim was a smart kid and had seen the blaringly obvious holes in Batman's story, like how Robin showed up before Jason moved in or how Dick Grayson never seemed to come home for, what would be Christmas or Easter break. He just never expected this to be the answer.
Batgirl, eventually, broke down and told him the whole story, about how Dick had been the original Robin, how he and Batman had probably been the best crime fighting duo to date, how the Joker captured Dick and tortured him to near death and how Bruce had stolen away Dick's right to the Robin name and why Dick left. Adding onto the end that apparently he had fled to Jump city and took on the name of Nightwing. When he asked why they had kept the secret, she explained how Bruce didn't want him to think the Robin name is cursed. How one robin dying would be a coincidence but two dying or seemingly disappearing into thin air, Bruce thought it would scare him out of wanting to fight crime.
After she finished, Tim stalked off to Bruce's room in the Watchtower to think it all through and come to terms with the fact that Bruce's prodigal son that was supposed to be in England was now the teen he had been bonding with for the past week or so and was the hero who had sacrificed himself for Tim.
To say it simply, it was a lot to take in.
God, he was in for a long night.

BATGIRL'S P.O.V.
After Nightwing had been stabilized, Batman grabbed us all, Titans included, and brought us out for questioning.
"I am only going to ask this once, what happened?"
Everyone seemed frozen on the spot from the glare that Batman was directing at us. The titan's, being totally new to the Batglare, all looked terrified, well, except for Raven. Seeing that no one was about to answer Bat's question, and that I was the only one who had even thought of an answer, I chose to speak up.
"Batman, I think it would be best if we waited for Nightwing to wake up. He will be able to explain it best," Then I added as an afterthought, "plus, lord know you two need to talk about some things."
I instantly regretted saying that at the glare Batman sent at me.
Oh well, it was true.
