Sorry I haven't written in like a year guys xD. I got sick of fablehaven, and writing on my iPad is a real pain in the ass, so if you see grammatical and random spelling errors, blame my stupid auto correct! Or me, I can't grammar worth a shit, so...I hope you don't read this to be I pressed by my mastery of the English language, because you will be sorely disappointed!

Kendra was dreaming. Hordes on demons were pouring from a dark chasm, deep in the earth as she watched helplessly. She became aware of a heavy weight on her back, questing out her mind she was relieved to recognize Bracken.

He let out a battle cry and she surged forward, all around them galloped other unicorns, with a rainbow of coat colors. She realized in a split second that these were all her children, and their children, fighting alongside her.

Just as her army of unicorns clashed against the shields of the demonic vanguard, Kendra gasped and leaped up.

Disoriented, she didn't realize she was in human form until she fell off the bed she had been laying on with a crash, waking the baby in the cradle near her.

The infant let out an indignant wail, his face turning red with fury as Kendra bent over her son, cooing softly.

She picked him up, cradling him in her arms and rocking him softly, back and forth back and forth.

She was wearing a light, cream colored dress that was silky smooth and had no discernible seams or flaws. Furrowing her brow, she remembered suddenly her mad dash through the forest, her husband dying on her back and her stomach immobilizing her with pain.

Panicking now, she looked around for Bracken. She set their son gingerly back into his cradle, and wheeled around, her form shimmering as she changed shape.

Just as she was about to gallop into the hallway, a light framed young girl walked into the room.

"Kendra! It's so good to see you up, how are you feeling?" The girl exclaimed

" Where is my husband?" Kendra snapped, shrinking down into horse form once more.

" He's fine, you got him here just in time, his mothers best healers were able to expunge the poison and he is just now beginning to stir." The girl replied brightly.

Kendra sagged with relief, he was alive! And well!

" Please take me to him" Kendra murmered, turning to pick up Gavin.

She walked with the girl down the crystal hallway, they turned into a grand room, with a glass ceiling and a beautiful fountain dominating the space.

On a large, comfortable bed her husband lay. Kendra breathed a sigh a relief as she studied his angelic features, which glowed with a healthy pearlish intensity.

"Bracken! I have someone who wants to meet you" Kendra whispered in his ear.

She kissed him, full on the lips, She poured her love into him, asking him to wake up wake up wake up. His pale eyelashes shivered, and suddenly his bright blue eyes shot open.

"Kendra! Where are we? What happened to the soldiers, the wizard?" Bracken cried, panicking.

"Shhhhhhhhhhh, it's okay now, you killed them, everything is perfect." Kendra said, laying a calming hand on his chest and projecting peace.

Brackens eyes softened with relief, he turned his head and his eyes widened when he saw the babe in her arms.

"Our son?" He gasped, holding out his arms.

Kendra carefully transferred Gavin to his fathers arms, her eyes lit with indescribable joy at her husbands well being.

" You almost died, I carried you back to the shrine on my back, I kept thinking that our son would never know his father, all because I didn't know a decent healing spell" Kendra murmered, her eyes grief stricken.

Bracken gazed at her, his eyes filled with adoration. He reached out with the arm he wasn't using to cradle Gavin, and pulled her to him for a kiss.

"Kendra, you did everything you could, you saved me, you gave birth to our son alone. All three of us are okay. Better than okay, I've never been this happy in my entire life."

Kendra kissed him back, all her love overflowing in waves as she dried tears of joy.

She climbed into his ornate bed, and they held their son between them as the sun rose into the sky, casting beautiful shimmering reflections onto the room below. She fell asleep to the steady beating of her beloveds heart, and the sweet scent of her son, her face creasing into a smile as she dreamed.

Bracken looked down at his wife, overcome by her beauty, despite his joy at the arrival of his son, and their victory over the soldiers, he couldn't help thinking about the many years to come. His eyes darkened at the thought of the battles he would fight, and win.

No one would ever threaten Kendra again, not as long as he breathed.

"Come and get me demon king, my family will make you bow to our might" He vowed silently, casting his eyes to the dawns first light.
