Mount Justice

October 10, 16: 58 EDT

"Pineapple juice!" Captain Marvel handed the glass to Wally, the guy with the broken arm.

I rolled my eyes. Wally was being a lazy butt and a jerk at that moment, sitting down on a beach chair in the Cave, having Captain Marvel as a servant, and relaxing while the rest of us had to train.

I dodged a high round kick that Conner tried delivering to me. I dropped down on the floor with a grunt, swiping his legs from under him. I grinned in triumph when Conner went down on the floor with a thump, and I quickly moved to place a knee on his chest. "Timeless, three. Superboy, one!"

Conner let a small smile overcome his face, "All right, you win! Get off of me!"

I took my knee off of him, and stood up, offering a hand for him to get off the floor, too. Conner had just stood up when Black Canary came into the mission room, smiling in pride. "Good work, everyone! In fact, it's been a very productive week."

We all stopped out sparring, and moved into a small huddle. Robin came next to me, smirking and nodding his head to Wally. I gave him a mocking look of disgust, and he started laughing.

"Yeah, for everyone except Kid Malingerer!" Artemis pointed at Wally as he sipped his juice.

"Hey!" Wally defended himself. "Arm broken in combat against the Injustice League here!"

Dinah placed a hand on my shoulder, chuckling softly at the Fastest Boy Alive. "I've really enjoyed being your…den mother this week."

I pouted, "But you enjoy being my mom at home more, right?"

Dinah smirked, leaning in so she could whisper in my ear. "Yes, but don't tell the guys I said that."

'Recognized: Zatara 11.'

Zatara came into the Cave, and instantly started typing away on the computer that controlled the security of the zeta beams.

'Access Granted: Zatanna Zatara A03.'

We all walked toward where Zatara stood, curious as to who was the guest that he was letting into the Cave. As soon as the computer announced the name, a girl, about my age, entered. Her bright blue eyes looked around, curiosity in her features.

"Zatanna, this is the Team." Zatara introduced us. "Team, my daughter, Zatanna."

I smiled warmly at the newcomer, and was about to introduce myself, but then Robin cut me off. "Hi!" I waved at Zatanna. "I'm—"

"Robin!" He cleared his throat nervously, glancing at me. "I'm Robin! That's Diana, Megan, Wally, Artemis, Kaldur, and Conner."

I looked at Dick suspiciously, but when he saw me glancing at him, he avoided my gaze. "Welcome to the Cave." Kaldur announced politely.

"Uh, thanks." Zatanna replied, slightly hesitant to be in front of such a big group of strange people. I bet that Zatanna has never been in front of this many super heroes at once.

"Are you joining the Team?" I asked, giving her a brief hug, and she instantly put her hands around me, too. I was glad that she was loosening up even just a bit.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is strictly a visit." Zatara stepped in front of us, protectively. He turned to Canary, "Though I am sorry we missed the training. It's something from which Zatanna could benefit."

Suddenly, M'Gann's voice echoed inside my mind. 'Do the rest of you get the impression that we're still stuck on probation with Zatara?'

'It's not just Zatara!' I exclaimed. 'Seriously, why is Marvel still around?'

'Because we like having him around!' Wally smiled mischievously.

'You like having him around,' Artemis clarified, 'just because he waits on you hand and foot!'

'And your point is…?' Wally dragged on.

'It almost makes one nostalgic for Red Tornado…' Kaldur crossed his arm uncomfortably.

'Yeah, at least he trusted us!' Robin nodded.

'If you don't ignore the fact that we shouldn't have trusted him! He was a traitor! That machine almost got M'Gann—All of us killed!' Conner shouted inside our brains angrily.

"Are you guys having a psychic conversation?" Zatanna spoke up. "Cause I can't decided if that's cool or really rude."

Zatara and Dinah looked at us interrogatingly. Conner was the first to speak up, "All right, fine! We were talking about Tornado. It's been weeks since his attack, and the League hasn't told us anything!"

"The League is searching for Tornado," Dinah replied calmly. "As well as the other android that invaded the Cave, and their creator, Tiomaro. Batman's made tracking them down our highest priority."

Robin stepped up, "But you found none of the above!"

"Not yet," Dinah reasoned. "But Tornado is Justice League. The Team is not to pursue this."

I looked at my mother challengingly; she knew we were going to go look for Tornado. She just didn't want us to look for him. Dinah shared a look with me, the one that instantly told me that I needed to listen to her this time. It was for my own good, but she knew better than anyone, I wouldn't care about the boundaries.

"Why don't you all take Zatanna on a, uh…" Zatara faltered. "Tour of the…Cave?"

We were about to turn to the raven-haired girl, but we soon noticed her sitting next to Wolf, petting him. How had she gotten there?

Captain Marvel came up to us, "You're giving a tour? Cool! Can I come?"

"Actually," Conner tried to make up an excuse. "I was hoping that you could take Wolf outside. He needs the exercise. We'll join you in a few."

Captain Marvel agreed, and flew out with Wolf running hot on his tail. We all started walking through the long hallways of the Cave, and I remembered the first time that I had toured this place. I'd gotten lost so many times.

Zatanna came up to me, walking at my pace. She was wearing different clothing this time, "How did you—?"

Zatanna smiled at me, "It's magic."

"Oh, so, uh, you're a magician?" Robin turned back to us both, focusing most of his attention to Zatanna.

The magician nodded, and quickened her pace to stand next to Dick. "Yeah, I get my powers from my dad."

Then, the strangest thing happened. Robin started leaning toward her, and their shoulders bumped together, but neither of them moved away. They actually seemed to…welcome the closure. I horrible feeling settled on my chest, and I looked away from the scene.

"We're not really taking a tour are we?" Zatanna spoke up as we walked aimlessly.

Conner and Kaldur, who were leading the group, stopped walking. "No, we're hunting down that robot."

I couldn't bring myself to make a comment about it, so I just gave them a half-hearted smirk. "Oh, wow! Out loud, and everything." Zatanna commented.

"Uh, what about new girl?" Artemis pointed out.

Robin gave out a chuckle, "I'm sure she won't tell!"

Right after he said that, he glanced at me. It was for less than three seconds, but I still gave him a very quick glare. If I was going to be hurt by him, they I wouldn't let him see me sad, but instead, maddened.

Zatanna turned to us, "I can't tell! Not if you kidnap me…"

"Oh, she's gonna fit in great." Artemis placed her hands on her hips, smiling in proudness at the girl.

"To the bioship?" M'Gann asked Kaldur.

He nodded, "To the bioship."

So, we all walked down to the basement. Zatanna and Robin were still shamelessly flirting with each other, but it didn't even anger me, it just disappointed me. Just four days ago, I had been almost sure that Dick liked me, and romantically, too! Those thoughts had gone down the drain today.

I even told myself a few months back, how could he like a girl as simple as me when there were other exotic and more beautiful girls around the world? Zatanna was beautiful, her black hair flowed effortlessly, her blue eyes sparkled, and even her personality was pretty cool from what I've heard so far!

As we walked up the ramp of the bioship, Wally fell in pace with me. "Hey."

"Hey…" I muttered back.

Wally sighed, "It's the flirting, isn't it?"

I nodded, not even surprised at how well he read me. "Yup."

"Chin up," Wally commanded. "We don't want to see a pretty face go to waste, right?"

I gave him a small smile, "This is you making up for my paying for the burgers, isn't it?"

Wally shook his head, "Nah, it's for cheering me up. You seem to need it, too."

We all took our seats in the bioship, and I was about to sit down in my place in front of Robin, but Zatanna got there first.

"Oh, did you want to sit here?" Zatanna's eyes widened, noticing me.

I shook my head stubbornly; they could go make out for all I cared. "No, it's fine."

I went and sat down behind Wally, looking out into the Cave. We soon took off into the sky, but I was still looking outside the window instead of joining into the conversations going on around me.

"Batman is the world's greatest detective, and he's searched for Tornado and Tiomaro in every logical location. If we're gonna do better we need an illogical solution!" Robin turned to Kid with a grin, "A truly dumb idea."

We all looked at Wally expectantly, and after a few seconds of silence he answered smugly, "As a matter of fact…"

Belle Reve

October 10, 18: 35 CDT

"Hugo Strange owed us a favor for stopping a prison break." M'Gann slammed her hands down on the steel table. "He's given us five minutes with you."

I glared at Ivo menacingly; I still resented him for what Amazo had done to Dinah. "Tell us, dear Ivo, how do we find Red Tornado, his sibling, and their creator?"

Ivo smirked at me, "Now why would I know how to find Morrow?"

"Because, and here's a truly dumb idea." Kid spoke up. "You're Morrow's biggest competitor in the evil android game! Who better to keep track of what he's up to, and where?"

"Ah, I see your point!" Ivo intertwined his fingers together. "So let me rephrase, why in the world would I tell you how to find Morrow?"

"He knows," Aqualad turned to Miss Martian. "Do what you must."

M'Gann's eyes started glowing green, obviously trying to read his mind, but Ivo only cackled evilly. "Oh, please! As if I've never faced a telepath before!"

"Trulb tuo S'worrom eurt noitaco!" Zatanna chanted, and as soon as she did, Ivo blurted out the secrets.

"Morrow's in a secret underground cave beneath the Yellowstone National Park! One hundred meters south of Old Faith!"

We all stood in shock at what had just happened. Zatanna just had to utter a few magic words backwards, and done! Something that would have taken us more than ten minutes to achieve only took us three.

"Wait! What just happened?" Ivo shouted in utter shock.

I let out a laugh, "Our resident magician just kicked your sorry butt! Goodness, Zatanna give me five!"

Zatanna grinned proudly, and gave me a high five. "That was amazing!"

"It wasn't nearly as good as my father would have done…"

"Still amazing!" Robin smirked, catching up with Zatanna. "Think you can show me a few other moves?"

Okay, at this point I was beyond mad. I was positively furious. The thought of him just going around flirting with Zatanna whenever I started talking to her made me think that he was doing it just to spite me. Ugh, this is why super heroes try not to date or fall in love with anyone!

I stomped back to the bioship, sitting down in my place behind Wally's chair. I looked out of the window yet again, feeling worse than I had when this mission started.

Suddenly, Wally turned his seat to face me. "You want to play rock, paper, scissors?"

I rolled my eyes, "That's your way of cheering me up?"

"Hey, you offered to play Hide n' Seek with me!"

I pretended to give his words some thought, as I felt the bioship rise up in the air. "True…"

"Hey, look at me." Wally grabbed my shoulders, slightly shaking me. "You're one of the most beautiful, talented, and greatest girls I've had the pleasure of meeting. Don't let one guy let you down."

I smiled at my best friend, giving him a hug, and a big kiss on his freckled cheek. "And you are one of the sweetest, fastest, and most intelligent boys I've had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you, Wally."

Wally nodded, grinning at me as I gave him another, but lighter, kiss in the same place. "What are best friends for?" And with that, he turned his face around; we were nearing our destination already.

I felt like someone had watched Wally and I's interchange, so I looked around the bioship to catch the culprit. Surprisingly, it was Robin who was glaring at me. I gave him a look that screamed, what the hell? He responded with a tense shrug.

I sighed, and went back to looking out of the window. Dick and I had not exchanged words ever since Zatanna came into the picture, only glances, and it unnerved me. If this was how it was going to be from now on, then I was not going to welcome the change one bit.

"Lock out all external communications. Soon Canary and Zatara, Batman, too, I imagine, will know of our…visit with professor Ivo. We haven't much time." Kaldur commanded M'Gann.

"Look, I'm trying to be nonchalant here…" Robin laughed nervously.

"Why? Be as chalant as you'd like." Zatanna replied back, and a triumphant grin appeared on Dick's face.

I heard Wally huff from in front of me, and I smiled. At least, I knew that Wally would always be there to back me up.

"I think we're all just trying to get a handle on your powers." Artemis explained. "Could you teleport us to Tornado or Morrow to a cell? Or force his bots to surrender?"

"Or create peace on Earth for all time?" Zatanna scuffed. "Zatara couldn't even do that, and I am nowhere near on my dad's level! I need to know a spell call, or else have time to prep it. Plus, all magic requires energy, which usually comes from within. I just can't make the impossible happen at will!"

"What's our ETD to Yellowstone?" Conner growled angrily. "I'm way past ready to stuff Tornado into a trash compactor!"

"Are you so certain he betrayed us?" Kaldur mentioned.

"Aren't you?" Conner shouted.

"I am not convinced." Kaldur looked away from Conner's glare. "And even so, that makes him but the victim of his creator's programming."

I nodded, crossing my legs. "He deserves a chance to prove that he's more than the weapon he was made to be. Don't you think, Conner?"

At that, Conner kept silent. He looked down in shame, and in understanding as to what I was hinting at. As a Cadmus clone, being programmed to be a living weapon; he knew what Red Tornado was most probably feeling like.

The rest of the ride was relatively quiet. Conner seemed to be deep in thought, Kaldur and M'Gann exchanged some words about the direction of the bioship, Artemis polished her arrows (while Wally sneaked a few aloof glances at her), and Zatanna and Robin flirted as if no one was watching.

I just sat in the back of the bioship, looking out of the window. I don't think that what I was feeling was just jealousy, it was anger, too. It wasn't even anger at Dick, but at myself. I'd believed for a few good moments that Dick, the incredible acrobat, mathlete, and voted handsomest boy in the whole middle school, liked me.

I'd actually thought that I had a chance with him, and that's what made me so ashamed of myself. How could I possibly have thought that he liked me more than just a friend?

It was so silly of me to believe something like that could possibly happen.

"We're here." M'Gann announced to us, snapping me out of my thoughts.

When we arrived at the Yellowstone National Park, it was already eight o'clock, and since it was nearing winter, the sky was pitch black. Geysers burst here and there as we all started to get out of our seats.

"Stealth mode." Aqualad commanded.

As soon as that, Kid, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Artemis, and I changed into the darker versions of our clothing. Zatanna was the one who opened the bioship's door for us, and I smiled at her gratefully, but a little resentfully, too.

"I recommend you stay behind." Aqualad commented.

"Is that an order?" Zatanna challenged him, raising an eyebrow.

"No," Aqualad shook his head. "You must do as you see fit."

"Good!" Zatanna concluded. "Emit ot yrt tuo eht wen koo!" Her outfit soon changed to what I presumed to be her superhero uniform, in case Zatara ever let her become one. Her yellow vest hugged her waist tightly, making me even more self-conscious.

As soon as she did that, we all ran out of the bioship. We hid behind pine trees, and stopped occasionally to see that everyone was still following. We abruptly stopped at the edge of a clearing. "Ivo was right," Robin opened up his arm computer. "Something's down there."

Aqualad sprinted forward, and we followed behind in a hurry. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind flew by us, nearly knocking me off my feet. I shouted at everyone, "Huddle together!"

When everyone stood around me in a small circle, I created a force field big enough to encircle all of us. Zatanna whistled, "I've never seen that trick from you before!"

"It's a new one," Artemis confirmed. "A very useful new one."

We looked up to the culprit behind the sudden change of weather, just to find that Red Tornado was sending mini tornadoes toward us. The tornadoes appeared all around us, encasing us all in a circle.

"Why Tornado?" M'Gann's eyes widened, "Why are you doing this?"

Red Tornado didn't speak, he was silent, and that confused me. I didn't have the time to ponder over that idea because Tornado soon created a sign. Even though he was mute for now, he could still communicate.

'Message received?' M'Gann asked us all, shielding her eyes from the soil rising up with the wind. We all nodded in agreement, and I acted as if I couldn't hold my invisible force field together any longer.

"Who cares why?" Superboy shouted. "Nail him!"

Aqualad and him ran up to Red Tornado, and performed maneuver seven. Aqualad pulsed off Superboy's entwined hands, jumping up into the air. He tried placing a punch on Tornado's metallic face, but was hit back with Superboy, knocking them both out.

Artemis, and Robin came forward; she shot two of her explosives arrows at Tornado. Tornado used his wind powers to redirect the arrows to both of them, and the weapons exploded in their faces, knocking them out, too.

"That does it Red!" Kid bellowed. "You're not the only spin doctor around here!"

I would have laughed. I would have cried out in laughter just for that one phrase if it weren't for the fact that Kid was soon overtaken by Tornado. The android grabbed Miss Martian, who had tried to sneak a punch at him from behind, and threw her at Kid, which made them both unconscious.

Now it was my turn. I created a small circular force field, and used all of my willpower to throw it at Tornado. That was a move that my father had been all too joyful to teach me about after he learned that I could create force fields. Red Tornado moved out of the way, and threw a gust of wind at me.

I fell back on the ground, and acted as if unconscious. I covertly watched as Zatanna tried roaring out a spell, but was cut off by Tornado snatching at her by the neck, and throwing her at us. I felt the tornadoes behind us all diminishing by much, and the soil not whispering around my face anymore.

"Quite a performance, brother." Another sibling of Red Tornado appeared behind him, and the primary metal of his body was covered in bright red patterns. It reminded me of the colour of lava. "But we all know that's all it was."

I quietly cursed to myself, standing up, and looking toward the 'play dead' message Red Tornado had written on the ground.

"I have all your memories, Tornado." The bigger android spoke. "Plus a max gen processor. I know your next move before you do!"

The android peeled the piece of earth with the message scribbled down on it, and hurtled it at us, breaking it in little pieces. I created another force field around the Team, and the pieces of earth bounced off. Whenever a solid thing touched my force field, it created white ripples on it, so I counted how much earth hit my force field.

I could only hold it if, maximum, twenty pieces hit it.

'Red Tornado's getting away!' Zatanna exclaimed.

'Is he abandoning us?' Artemis looked up into the sky, enraged.

'He wrote a message into the earth to save us!' I rationalised. 'I don't believe he's just going away!'

'Neither do I!' M'Gann agreed.

Kid sped up his pace, running up to the little altar that the android had built for him to stand on. The android punched Kid in the face, and the speedster went down with a grunt. "You stand no chance against me, humans!"

Superboy and Miss Martian tried placing two identical punches on the android, "We're not human!"

The android created giant earth hands, and they grabbed Superboy and Miss Martian in a death grip. "My apologies! A properly inclusive term is," He smashed both of them, "Meat bags!"

That's when he opened a hole in the earth, making Aqualad and Artemis fall down into it. Artemis shot out an arrow, and they quickly recovered, coming out of the scar before it closed up again.

Robin and I ran up, using a rock to push us off the ground. Robin threw three of his birdarangs, while I tried slashing my whip at the machine, but we were both stopped. The android caught the birdarangs when they reached him, and then took the end of my whip to hurtle me back to where I was lying down unconscious five minutes ago.

"Timeless!" I heard Robin yell out in worry.

"Tornado's memory files, and my superior processing speed allow me to anticipate your every move!" The android announced.

"Emoks sic emoceb a dlofdnilb!" Zatanna chanted, and smoke quickly wrapped around the android's eyes like a blindfold. It blinded him for a moment, to which Zatanna decided to speak, "Tornado never knew my moves!"

"And I bet you've got some good ones!" Robin grinned, running up to talk to the magician after trying to help me up. "Whoa, sorry! That may have come off a little too Wally."

Zatanna let out a chuckle, "I don't mind."

I grabbed my whip, slashing it in thin air one time. I made it look like I was dusting it off, but really, I was just mad. Could they not get a room? And did they really have to do this here, or anywhere at all?

I moved over to stand next to Kid, and he rubbed my back for a little while. Suddenly, the android's eyes grew increasingly red until he looked up into the sky, making the volcano behind us erupt. Lava started flowing down in frenzy.

The lava came quickly rolling down the hill toward us, and Wally perched me up for him to carry me. He ran to higher land, depositing me there, and running back to find the android. I was still close enough to the enemy to fight back, but high enough as to not get harmed.

'He's activating a stage two eruption!' Wally informed us. 'If he hits stage three, kiss the hemisphere goodbye!'

'Hit him from all sides!' Aqualad commanded us, and we all set to work.

Superboy tried hitting from the front, but got deeply pounded. Miss Martian tried to use her powers to rip his metallic limbs apart, but the android soon found out of her plan, and made lava explode next to her. M'Gann shouted, scared out of her wits, and Conner ran up to help her.

The android landed in between them, though. He slapped Superboy away, and grabbed Miss Martian by the cape. The heat had made her lose consciousness. "Ekoms dna srorrim...Etaerc Dik Hsalf snoisulli!" Zatanna exclaimed, and copies of Wally ran away in different directions.

The real Wally used his illusions as a distraction, and grabbed M'Gann out of the android's reach. He gave M'Gann to me; muttering a soft, "Take care of her." Then, he was off to fight again.

I opened a compartment in my now black and grey utility belt, and took out a pouch full of water in it. I kept it there just in case M'Gann or Kaldur were in desperate need to get rehydrated. I made M'Gann drink some of the water, and the remaining I used to sprinkle her face with it.

She really needed to cool down.

Suddenly, a great deal of water burst from one of the inactive geysers and sprayed over the evil android. Aqualad denied having made that hit, so we all looked over to where Red Torpedo was using his powers to damage his brother.

We all watched in awe and shock as Red Tornado came into the picture, destroying the platform that the enemy was standing on. The android fell down into the lava just to be enveloped in more fire by Red Inferno.

"Sister! Brothers! Stop!" The android pleaded to his other three siblings as they gave him a pounding.

Red Torpedo and Red Inferno held him in the lava, and we waited to see what would happen next. I saw some movement, the signs of struggle, and then nothing. Red Tornado went in there, too. He placed his legs against the evil android's chest, and I could just imagine the scene unfolding beneath the lava.

When we realised that Red Tornado couldn't get out of the flaming liquid, Superboy grabbed hold of his cape, and hauled him out of there. We stood in silence as the ground beneath us shook; the volcano seemed to be about to erupt.

I had the urge to take Robin's hand, to feel the comfort of our little phrase of, "If you're alive, you're all right." Then, I realised that I couldn't just do that. He was flirting with Zatanna, and he seemed to be ignoring me.

"Tornado, listen!" Kid turned to the damaged android. "We're on the verge of a stage three super volcano eruption! There's no turning back from that! We need to vent pressure, fast! But the ash clouds will bring a worldwide nuclear winter unless you divert it!"

Wally turned to Robin, "Triangulate around the pressure locus!"

Robin opened up his arm computer, and showed Artemis and I the pressure points in which we had to shoot at. Artemis shot her arrow first, and it hit the location. Everyone else turned to me, and I used my force fields to direct themselves to the remaining two weakness points.

Tornado used the gusts of winds to lift up his legless body, and vanished into the dark ash clouds that the volcano kept spewing out. We waited, and stood, and just watched the sky as it cleared from all the intolerable fog. The ash was transported up into space, and a few minutes later, the lava cooled down.

Kid fist pumped the air, "Yes!"

As soon as he smiled, we saw Red Tornado coming down from the sky, and instantly ran out to help him. Since he didn't have any legs, Superboy had to carry him into T.O Morrow's secret lab for us to get him repaired.

When we reached the secret lair, we noticed that T.O Morrow's body was littered on the floor. He had actually been a humanoid, which was something that disturbed us all. Superboy set Red Tornado down on the experimental bed, and Robin, Kid, and I decided to fix his speaking first. "There, that should do it!

I, being trained partly by Batman, was ought to know a thing or two about engineering, robots, and advanced mathematics.

"Yes," Red Tornado agreed. "I can speak again."

"You were willing to sacrifice yourself to save the planet." Aqualad reminded us.

"The planet would have survived." Red Tornado corrected. "It was humanity that was saved, though not by me. My sister and brother were the true heroes this day."

I stepped up, "And for that we will always be grateful. But the thing is, you didn't betray us."

Kaldur nodded, "You weren't the mole. You were never a traitor."

"No, I left to protect you from further attack and to find my creator, Morrow." Red Tornado concluded.

"Cool! Souvenir!" Wally shouted out from behind us, and I smiled. I walked up to him, ignoring the glares that I received from Robin, and looked over the speedster's object. It was Red Volcano's hand.

"Redy, we can rebuilt you!" Robin took out an android leg. "Better than you were before!"

"I do not believe I should be repaired," Red Tornado said solemnly.

"Why'd you volunteer to become our den mother in the first place?" Superboy burst out, looking at us all.

"I was the platmatic choice." Red Tornado informed us. "I do not require sleep, have no secret identity, or second life to live."

Kid smirked softly, "But you do have advanced AI programming designed to learn, and adapt, evolve!"

"Hello, Megan!" M'Gann slapped her forehead. "You wanted to become more human!"

"And you certainly wouldn't do that with the League!" I crossed my arms, smiling at the android.

"They're stiffs!" Artemis nodded.

"You sure aren't going to learn emotion from Batman," Robin joked. "Trust me."

I was the only one who laughed at that, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I knew how Batman behaved; I've known him for years, now! But laughing at a joke that the guy who seemed to be irritated by me said, it just didn't feel right. So, I quickly shut my mouth.

"Then the Cave was not a proving round only for us," Aqualad finalised. "But for you, as well."

Red Tornado's head turned to us, "I do not know if these statements are accurate, but perhaps, they are true. And if I understand the term correctly, I believe I have come to…care about you all."

I gave Tornado a hug, "Well, look who's a big softy at heart!"

"Practically a meat bag already." Superboy said, and I could sense some softness in his words.

Mount Justice

October 10, 22: 45 EDT

"How about we hang out tomorrow?" Wally asked me, coming out of the changing rooms.

I was behind the long metal bench in front of the showers, and placing my utility belt back in the lockers. "I don't know, Wally…I don't think I'm up for going out."

Wally scuffed, and secretly gestured to Dick who had just come out of taking a shower, and was looking toward us. "Common, Diana! Do you want to mop around all day or have some fun?"

I saw Zatanna coming out of a corner, and hugged Dick goodbye. This only angered me, "Tell me the time, and where. I'll be there."

Wally smirked, "I knew you would give in! No one can resist the old West charm." He gave me a light peck on the cheek and sped off, saying his goodbyes to the rest of the Team.

I turned back to my locker, and started packing the rest of my uniform neatly in. "Nothing's going on between you two, huh?" Dick walked up to me, scowling. "You both seem to be getting a lot more affectionate than usual."

I scuffed, "Just like you and Zatanna?"

"That's different!" Dick exclaimed, crossing his arms defensively. Even behind the sunglasses, I knew that he was hurt, and he was mad. I had known him long enough to be able to read his body language.

"How exactly is it different, if you don't mind me asking, Boy Wonder?" I spat out his name correctly, making sure he knew how angered I was by his accusation.

"Just...Ugh!" Dick shouted in outrage, but turned his back to me. "Just forget it. Goodnight."

"Goodnight…" I muttered back because I had an idea of what that outburst had been about. I knew Dick like the back of my hand, and I think I'd just figured out something very important.

Dick wasn't just maddened, but he was jealous. Now, why was he flirting with Zatanna when he felt that way? I just had to find out.
