"Hyacinth, it's good to see you taking some time for yourself, but you look wistful about something." Dr. Feld comes walking down the beach.

"You know I used to love going to the beach with my sisters when I was a little girl and I used to love taking my son to the beach, but I haven't been for so long. Why are you here?" Hyacinth sighs heavily.

"I use my walks on the beach to calm my thoughts and regroup. My job is rewarding but it is also very draining because I get so involved in people's lives. I try to do this every day before I go and pick up my kids at school. Are you nervous or worried about being away from home the week before Christmas?" Dr. Feld looks out on the ocean.

"A little. I always host Christmas dinner for the family, but my son is home from university, so I can call home and get him to do the shopping for Christmas dinner. Christmas Eve is always at my neighbour's, so I don't have to worry about that and I already had all my Christmas baking done before I came. If I feel like it's going to be too much I do have three sisters who can help out. I'm determined not to be as picky and uptight as I have in the past." Hyacinth shoves her hands into the pockets of Richard's sweater. Her fingers brush against a heavy piece of paper in one of the pockets. She pulls the piece of paper out and nearly cries when she sees it's a picture of her in the garden over the summer with the sun shining down on her. "I've got to go. I'll see you tomorrow."
