It begins on a rainy afternoon. They were sitting in the living room.
"Rainy days are really boring," J.D. complained.
"Tell me about it," Laney agreed.
"I have nothing to do but watch TV and look in the mirror at my beautiful self," Lola confessed.
Lana entered through the front door. "In a couple more hours, this mud will be perfect to play in.
She smears mud on her face.
"I love rain," Lily added. "It's so peaceful."
"It sure is," Varie agreed.
Suddenly, a strange light appeared on the ceiling.
"What is that?" Linka wondered.
"I'm not sure," Lincoln responded.
It suddenly transformed into a portal.
"It's a portal to another dimension," Fu explained.
"I don't think that's a dimensional portal, Fu," Naruto clarified.
J.D. senses something is about to happen. "I'm sensing some enormous powers coming through. They are good, whoever they are."
Thirteen figures emerged from the portal. There were ten girls and two boys.
"Ow! That was a wild ride."
"Yeah."
"Who are all of you?" J.D. asked.
They stood up and noticed them.
"Wait a minute. It is you. Um, this may seem a little strange, but we are not from this time. We came here from 200 years into the future."
"We can see that," Varie replied. "We're no strangers to time travel."
"We should introduce ourselves. I'm Allie Knudson, the eldest."
"I'm Brittney Knudson, the goth girl and the Empress of Darkness."
"I'm Jessie Knudson, the master of Wind."
"I'm Mary Knudson, famous international chef and master of Earth."
"I'm Anna Knudson, Master of Lightning."
"I'm Jared Knudson, Master of Fire."
"I'm Nicole Knudson of the Star Dragon and master of the Stars."
"I'm Natilee Knudson of the Night."
"I'm Shanan Abigail Knudson, Queen of Nature."
"I'm Allenby Beardsley Knudson, I'm married to Jared."
"I'm Heidi Knudson and these are my young twin siblings Nathaniel and Isabelle."
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Nathaniel said.
"Charmed," Isabelle added.
"J.D., this may seem strange, but me, Brittney, Anna, Mary, Jessie, Jared, Nicole, Natilee, and Shanan are your children from the future," Allie explained.
J.D. and Varie were shocked.
J.D. gasped. "You are my kids."
"How can this be?" Varie wondered.
"We came from 200 years in the future against our will," Brittney explained.
J.D. asked, "How?"
"We were fighting a powerful monster who was too powerful for us and was planning to send us into the future so he could destroy the world," Nicole continued.
"Fortunately, he wasn't very smart," Mary added.
"We were thrown into the past, and here we are seeing you," Allie explained.
"This is amazing," J.D. exclaimed. "But it's terrible that happened to you."
"Yeah, grandpa, it was awful," Heidi admitted.
"We were doing well against this monster, but he tricked us at the last second and sent us back in time," Isabelle recounted.
"That's awful!" exclaimed Lincoln.
"It is," Shanan agreed.
"I guess that you guys have the same powers as J.D. here," Naruto remarked.
"Yes, Uncle Naruto," Nathanial nodded. "We inherited our powers from our parents."
"That's incredible," Sakura exclaimed.
"Yeah," Laney agreed.
"But how are you all going to go back?" Lily asked.
"That's a huge problem," Mary replied. "We don't have any way to get back to our time."
"That's not good," Aylene expressed concern. "It appears like you're stuck here."
"Yeah," Allie agreed. "But now we're a family again."
"Yeah," J.D nodded. "We've got some catching up to do."
"We sure do, dad," Mary answered.
ALLIE
Allie and Lola were in Lola's room, and Lola was showing her all of her achievements.
"As you can see, I participate in beauty pageants, photoshoots, and tea parties," Lola explained.
"I remember," Allie responded. "You have an amazing talent, Lola."
"Thank you," Lola replied. "So, Allie, what do you do?"
"I am known as the Queen of Light and the Executioner of the Twisted Princesses," Allie revealed.
"I don't like the sound of that," Lola murmured. "Who are the Twisted Princesses?"
"The Twisted Princesses are Disney Princesses turned evil," Allie explained. "Let me show you."
She pulls out an advanced finger computer and shows a holographic image of Rapunzel gone bad.
"Whoa!" gasped Lola. "What happened to Rapunzel?"
"That's what the Twisted Princesses are," Allie clarified. "They are Disney Princesses turned evil, driven by vengeance, hatred, and bloodlust."
"That's really scary," Lola replied.
"Yeah," Allie agreed. "I call the Twisted Princesses the Dark Side of Disney."
"That's really fitting for them," Lola commented.
"It sure is," Allie agreed.
"This Rapunzel must've gotten what she deserved," Lola mused.
"Yep," Allie confirmed. "I shot an energy wave at her and vaporized her in an instant."
"Good riddance," replied Lola. "If we ever have to deal with the Twisted Princesses, we'll burn them to ashes."
"We will," Allie assured her. "Fire and Light versus the Dark Princesses."
BRITTNEY
Brittney, Lucy, Haiku, and Shannon were looking through poetry and dark magic books.
"Brittney, how did you get the title Empress of Darkness?" Lucy asked.
"I wasn't always a goth," Brittney admitted. "My gothic tastes began when I was seven years old. It happened 20 years from now, on a field trip the class took to the Tennessee State Women's Prison. We went to the prison and interviewed the inmates, asking them why they did what they did. I interviewed Teen murderess Natasha Cornett."
"Gasp!" cried Lucy. "The Goth Girl responsible for the murder of the Lillelid Family?"
"That's her," Brittney pointed out. "I interviewed her and we became friends. She just became a Goth after being isolated at school. She used drugs and alcohol, which was not a pretty sight, and she headed down a dark path. I became a member of the Gothic Subculture after seeing the execution of Christa Pike in 2037, and it was a satisfying sight to watch a Satanic Woman like that die. Except for my family and friends, I hate everything. Because of my vast control over the powers of darkness and my use of Dark Magic, I am known as the Empress of Darkness."
"That's interesting," Shannon commented. "You must have heard about how I was a member of the Black Daffodil Gang."
"Dad told me everything about it," Brittney admitted. "You became a Black Daffodil to take revenge on your parents, who were serial killers in the Chicago Projects."
"That's right," Shannon confirmed. "Because of my ancestry, I am also familiar with the Dark Magic Arts. I am a direct descendant of the Sanderson Sisters from the 1692 Salem Witch Trials."
"That's what Aunt Carol told me," Brittney replied. "You have quite the ancestry."
"I heard about that," Haiku responded.
ANNA
Anna, Lynn, and Terra were playing basketball in the gymnasium.
"Here I come!" Anna shouted, sinking a slam-dunk.
"You're an amazing sports master, Anna," Lynn gushed.
"Thank you," Anna expressed gratitude. "I've always been known as the family's sports star. I'm also a Summer Olympics gold medalist."
"The Olympics are awesome," Terra added.
"They sure are," Lynn replied. "What events do you play, Anna?"
"I compete in the Decathlon, Archery, Shooting, Basketball, and Volleyball," Anna explained.
"You're an Olympic legend," Terra asserted.
"That's amazing!" exclaimed Lynn.
"Yeah," Terra agreed. "The next Summer Olympics will be held in Tokyo in 2020."
"You all know I'll be there," Anna assured them. "The Lightning will strike again."
"Yeah!" answered Lynn. "Whoo! It's always been my dream to be an Olympic athlete."
"You can do it, Lynn," Anna assured her. "What event sounds perfect for you?"
"I've always been good at basketball," Lynn explained.
"You have the edge, Lynn," Anna responded. "You can do it."
MARY
Mary, Lynn Sr., Lincoln, and Linka were in the kitchen preparing dinner.
"You're a good cook, Mary," Lincoln complimented.
"Thank you, Lincoln," Mary expressed gratitude. "I'm a world-famous international chef who has visited every country and cooked delicious food."
"Mary, that's incredible," Lynn Sr. said. "Maybe you could show me some really good recipes from your book."
"I would be delighted to, Mr. Lynn," Mary replied.
"What countries have you visited, and what were your favorites?" Lincoln asked.
"I've been to every country in the world, but I haven't really given it that much thought," Mary admitted. "I also have Earth Powers."
"Earth Powers," Linka noted. "Wow!"
"Yeah," Mary agreed. "When I fight, I use Earth's power. It is a very powerful and destructive force."
"We know," Linka responded. "But that's incredible."
"I heard about all of your adventures from dad, and they were awesome," Mary explained. "I also saw mom and dad's adventures in the future with Samurai Jack. That was an amazing story."
"Yeah," Lincoln agreed. "It was the best adventure we'd ever had."
"I know," Mary confessed. "It was an incredible adventure."
"I heard about that, and I'm very proud of everyone for helping the world and the Universe in such a difficult time," Lynn Sr. remarked.
"Thank you, dad," Lincoln replied.
"I thought it was especially impressive how you all destroyed Aku," Mary added.
"Thank you, Mary," Lincoln replied.
"You're welcome, Lincoln," Mary said.
JESSIE
In Lori and Carol's Room, Jessie, Lori, Carol, Joan of Arc, Anastasia, and Gabrielle were texting and reading books.
"So, Jessie, what do you do for the family?" Lori asked.
"I'm an explorer and an adventurer," Jessie explained. "I've traveled the world, entering old temples and collecting treasure."
"That's interesting," Gabrielle replied with a British accent. "I'm an explorer as well."
"That's what dad told me," Jessie replied. "Terra and Lynn found you in a temple in the center of the Earth, and it was an incredible adventure for you."
"It was," Gabrielle agreed.
"I take it you know so much about history, Jessie?" Anastasia asked.
"Yes, I do," Jessie acknowledged. "I'm a history whiz. History of the world has always fascinated me ever since I was a little girl."
"Do you know about the February Revolution?" Lori asked.
"I sure do," Jessie answered. "That happened in 1917, and it resulted in the abolition of the Tsarhood."
"Yeah," Anastasia confirmed. "I lost my family because of Grigori Rasputin."
"I've read about that," Jessie admitted. "Rasputin founded the Soviet Union, and your disappearance was one of the great mysteries of the early twentieth century, Anastasia."
"Yes," Anastasia agreed. "Are you familiar with Peter the Great?"
"I sure am," Jessie replied. "Peter the Great was Tsar of Russia from May 2, 1682 to November 2, 1721, and he was one of the most brutal and power-hungry Tsars in Russian history. During the Streltsy Uprising of 1698, he tortured and executed 1200 mutineers."
"That's right," Anastasia replied. "He was ruthless."
"He was," Jessie agreed. "It must have been terrifying for Joan to have to fight in the Hundred Years War."
"It was," Joan admitted. "I received a message from God telling me to fight in the war and stop the siege of Orleans."
"I've read about that," Carol responded. "Joan got a message from God telling her to fight in the war and try to save her home."
"I remember," Jessie answered. "Joan of Arc's trial was retried in 1456 on Pope Callixtus III's orders, and she was found innocent on July 4th, 1456. Pope Benedict XV and Joan's descendants attended Joan of Arc's canonization in 1920. She was canonized on May 16, 1920."
"So I'm a Saint?" Joan asked.
"Yep," Jessie confirmed. "It's an incredible thing."
"I agree," Anastasia answered.
"That is amazing," Lori gasped. "History is your strongest subject."
"It sure is," Jessie responded.
JARED
Jared, Allenby, Naruto, Sakura, Fu, Ino, Luna, Ember, and Leni were all playing instruments. Jared was playing the violin, Allenby was playing the flute, Naruto was playing the banjo, Sakura was playing the drums, Fu was playing the trumpet, Ino was playing the trombone, and Leni was playing the tambourine. They were playing Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King."
They stopped playing.
"That was rockin dudes!" Luna said. "Jared, how did you and Allenby learn to play so well?"
"My older sisters and I used to play in the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra," Jared explained. "We played a variety of classical music."
"That's cool, man," Ember remarked.
"It sure is," Jared answered.
"So, Jared, how did you meet Allenby?" Fu asked.
"That is an adventure I will never forget," Jared recounted. "It was after I inherited the Family Sword and fought in the Fourth Great War."
"You fought in the 4th Great Ninja War?" Naruto asked.
"I sure did," Jared replied. "It was an adventure I will never forget. We all saved the world from the terror of the Akatsuki. After that, I was in the Simulator, fighting Kaguya Otsutsuki. She wielded enormous power, the likes of which I had never seen before. She whisked me away to this volcanic world 34,000 light-years from Earth. It was the planet Pyron. Kaguya had the power to switch between dimensions and take the battle to different planets across the cosmos."
"That's incredible," Sakura gasped.
"Yeah," Fu agreed. "It sure is."
"It was amazing," Jared recalled. "After I finished, the Quicksand Damsel Alarm went off, and I triangulated the signal coming from a Swamp in Sweden. I rushed over to the signal source, where I found Allenby up to her head in Quicksand."
"Jared flared up a Rainbow Aura and rescued me, and he was holding me bridal style," Allenby continued. "His aura was so amazing, and I knew right away that Jared was the one for me."
"That is incredible, Allenby," Sakura replied.
"Yeah," Naruto agreed. "You two were made for each other."
"Thank you, bro," Jared replied. "It was a romantic rescue, a training mission that turned into a rescue that turned into a match made in Heaven."
"That is incredible," Leni admits.
"It sure is, dude," Luna agreed.
NICOLE
Nicole, Lisa, and Jessie B. were all studying science in Lisa's room.
"It's amazing that a 4-year-old knows all this science stuff," Nicole commented.
"It sure is," Jessie B. agreed.
"Affirmative, Nicole," Lisa agreed. "I was actually born with a very high intelligence quotient."
"I believe it, Lisa," Nicole replied. "The two fields of science that have always astounded me are Earth Science and Astronomy. I'm a geologist and an astronomer."
"Good fields," Jessie B. complimented.
"Yes," Nicole confirmed. "However, astronomy has always been my strongest subject. The Universe has always fascinated me."
"Indeed," Lisa agreed. "The Universe is an endless and fascinating scientific enigma."
"Yes," Nicole confirmed. "It's also how I got the name Nicole Knudson of the Star Dragon. Because the stars tell me everything and I can shape my cosmic energy attacks into powerful dragons."
"That's a great moniker," Jessie B. commented. "What else do you do, Nicole?"
"I'm also an Olympic Gold Medalist in Ice Skating," Nicole said. "I participate in the Winter Olympics."
"A very athletic and graceful series of sporting events," Lisa acknowledged.
"Yes," Nicole agreed.
NATILEE
Natilee, Penny, and the pets were in Penny's room. Natilee was working on a painting. She was painting a beautiful landscape of an alien mountainous landscape.
"Natilee sure knows a lot about art," Penny noticed.
"I'm the artist of the family," Natilee explained. "It's always been an awesome talent I have. I have so many fantastic ideas for drawings in my head that I want to share with the rest of the world."
"That's a beautiful picture," Penny commented.
"Thank you, Penny," Natilee replied. "I'm also called the Celtic Princess. I know everything there is to know about Ireland. Since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by Irish culture and history."
"That's amazing," Penny replied.
"It is," Natilee agreed. "There is over 7,500 years of history in Ireland for us to learn from."
"Wow," Penny said.
Charles barked in agreement.
SHANAN
Shanan, Laney and Crysta, Lana, Luan, Eddy, and Riley were all playing in the Jungle in the Greenhouse.
Shanan was flying. "Whoo-hoo! This is awesome!"
As she swung on a vine, Laney remarked, "It's fun."
"This is fun," Crysta commented while flying.
"My jungle Greenhouse is the best," Lana exclaimed while grinding on vines.
Luan was flying. "This is one SWINGING adventure!" She cracked a joke, followed by a rimshot and laughter. "Get it?"
Shanan, Riley, and Eddy all laugh.
"That was funny," Shanan laughed.
"Good one, my Angel of Comedy," Eddy cried out while flying and laughing.
"Thank you, Eddy," Luan replied.
Riley was flying. "That was funny. Shanan are you the youngest of your siblings?"
"I sure am Riley," Shanan replied. "It's awesome. I have a deep love and bond with all of nature, and I have the power to talk with all of the plants."
"That is incredible," Laney exclaimed. "I have the power to talk to animals."
"That's what I remember Laney," Shanan replied. "You have a lot of great gifts."
"Thank you," Laney said.
HEIDI & ISABELLE
Heidi and Isabelle were with Lily in her aquarium room.
"Lily, you have all kinds of magnificent fish," Heidi observed.
"Thank you, Heidi," Lily said. "I have a strong love for the ocean, and the water tells me everything."
"I believe it," Heidi responded. "Water has always been a strong weapon for me, too."
"Yeah," Lily agreed. "Isabelle, what are you capable of?"
"I am the youngest twin," Isabelle confessed. "I was born three minutes after my brother and am the family's Shaman. I have the power to identify a person's spirit animal and create rings with that animal's strength and power."
"That's really cool," Lily commented. "What is my Spirit Animal?"
"Yours is the Dolphin, which represents Harmony and Balance," Isabelle explained.
Isabelle made a ring that had a dolphin in it, and Lily put it on her right ring finger.
"Cool!" exclaimed Lily. "This is incredible. Thank you, Isabelle."
"You're welcome, Lily," Isabelle responded.
"Mine is the Wolf for Leadership, instinct, awareness, and intelligence," Heidi added, holding up her wolf-themed ring.
"That's cool," Lily said.
NATHANIEL
Nathaniel was sewing and doing housework with Rita.
"So, Nathaniel, apart from helping your father, what do you enjoy doing?" Rita asked.
"I like helping around the house, playing with my sisters, and training," Nathaniel explained.
"That's interesting," Rita commented. "Your grandpa is an amazing guy. He has saved us all more times than anyone can count."
"I know Ms. Rita," Nathaniel said. "Grandpa and dad are my heroes. I love them with all my heart. I also want to be a starship captain and one day take the Earth on an epic adventure across the infinitely vast distances of the Universe."
"That's quite a dream," Rita noted.
"I know," Nathaniel admitted. "I'll make it a reality one day."
"I have a feeling you will," Rita believed.
It's incredible to have J.D.'s children from the future here with them in the present. It just made everything that much more awesome.
