"What's wrong Sebastian?". Ciel asked a second time,he glanced in the direction of the footsteps which echoed in the tunnel, the former butler didn't reply, he simply stared into the darkness.
"Stay here Ciel, please don't move." Sebastian requested and followed the sound, disappearing from sight. Ciel sighed and crossed his arms.
"I'm not exactly helpless Sebastian, I can-" He was cut off by the sound of something heavy coming in contact with the wall. Ciel shook his head.
"Come on Sebastian, stop playing around, we've got a job to do."
"This will only take a moment dear one." Sebastian called back, the reply was followed by another crash and a second voice that Ciel knew all too well now.
"Let go Brother, you're running out of time. Our father's condition is grave." Mordred said, Ciel couldn't resist looking to see what Sebastian had done.
"Don't call me that, you're no brother of mine, you have greatly dishonored our family and your actions against my mate and my son are unforgivable. I should kill you right here and be done with it." Sebastian growled. Mordred chuckled softly.
"My dear baby brother,you and i both know that you wouldn't kill me, it would absolutely break our mother's heart and you could never be so-" Sebastian had grabbed Morded's throat, pinning him to the wall.
"Would you like to test your theory?"
"Sebastian, you can kill him later, your father's our priority." Ciel reminded his mate. Sebastian hesitated for a moment before releasing his brother.
"you're quite right Ciel, I shall deal with him when father is well." Sebastian followed Ciel back through the tunnel.
"It's funny, you're so concerned about our father Ciel, you help our mother, but truly, what kind of son are you?" Ciel turned back.
"Shut up." Ciel's eyes changed instantly.
"let's be completely honest, what did you do for them, your mother and father. What did you do that night as their so-" Sebastian threw him into the wall suddenly before Ciel had a chance to react.
"You will not say such things to my mate, I'm going to teach you to hold your tongue or you will lose it. Personally I'd rather kill you right now, I will never tolerate your ridiculous and utterly distasteful actions. You shouldn't speak of what you know nothing about. In fact, it's in your best interest to not speak at all unless spoken to."
"Temper Bastian, you have no right to speak to your elders in such a way."
"You have no right to be alive."Sebastian growled.
"You're such a mean little thing aren't you baby brother, no matter, you're not going to find what you're looking for this way, in fact, I've searched these tunnels myself and-"
"Give it to me." Ciel demanded suddenly, he moved closer.
"I'd love to give you what you deserve you -" Sebastian pushed him hard against the wall causing it to break. Morded laid among the bones, a look a shock on his face.
"Silence, I will say it only once more, you're not to talk to or about Ciel and my children, if I catch you looking at them in a way that I believe is disrespectful in any way at all, if you are within one hundred feet of them, or if I so much as think that you are thinking of them, it will be the last thought you ever have."Sebastian grabbed him again, pulling him to his feet.
"Ciel, what did you see?"
"He threw it behind him, it's in that small space there, look." Ciel pointed to the soft yellow glow.
"He's probably been here the entire time and that's why we couldn't find it."
"Then I shall call Naveen to come and get it."
"I can fit through there, I can get it." Ciel took a step closer only for Sebastian to atop him.
"No. This wall will collapse if we're not careful and if you're on the other side, it can become quite difficult to get to you should that happen."
"Then what can we do, We don't have much time and who knows where Naveen is. It's not -"Ciel noticed the look In Sebastian's eyes as he grinned at his brother.
"Fear not my love, I have a solution to solve our problem. Mordred has volunteered his services."
"There's no way in hell I'm going in there, do you have any idea how long it will take for me to dig my way out?" Sebastian wasn't listening, he seized Morded and forced him into the space.
"I highly resent this brother!" Mordred shouted.
"More searching less speaking." Sebastian called back.
"If I refuse?"
"For your sake I hope I'm not forced to answer that." They could hear Mordred crawling around among the bones.
"I'll have you know Bastian dear, that I have no intention of bowing down to you, our father may have officially given you the crown however, I refuse to acknowledge you as a king of anything,you and your little beast."
"Move it, I'm losing my patience and you're going to find out just how I handle things and by the time I'm done, you're going to wish it had been Sebastian!" Ciel warned.
Mordred chuckled.
"You seem to have a very serious flaw in this little plan. I have the stone in here with me,how will you get it if you're concern is that it will cave in brother?"
Ciel had had enough of Morded, he noticed a wooden beam that had been damaged during the fight and upon further inspection, it seemed the only thing stopping the collapse.
"I'd come out if I were you, otherwise you'll be stuck there for a while." Ciel wiggled the board and Morded growled.
"Enough you little monster!"
"Hurry up, I don't have all day to stand about, I have children to feed." Mordred could only guess what Ciel would do and so he began to crawl out with the stone in hand.
When the eldest demon was half way out, he got his foot caught and attempted to pull himself free.
"Sebastian, help me out of here."He demanded.
"Give me the stone."
"get me out and you can have it, you know this particular rock is difficult even for our me and I will give it to you."Ciel grabbed the hand which held the stone and allowed a sharp set of fangs, much like his mate's to appear before biting his brother in law's arm. Mordred cried out in pain as he dropped the stone into Ciel's hand.
"Damn you, you little brat!" Mordred's words echoed through the tunnels. He rubbed his bleeding hand.
Sebastian moved to silence him but was stopped by Ciel.
"No, let's get back now, he's not worth anymore of your time." Ciel placed a hand on the beam.
"What the hell are you doing?" Mordred attempted again to free himself.
"There's still a matter of your comments about my parents and me, you were out of line and I think you need to understand respect. Until you do-" Ciel hit the board,shattering it and bring the rest of the wall down.
"You can stay there and think about what you did."
"Damn you Ciel!" Morded cried from under the rubble. Sebastian stood beside Ciel grinning at him.
"What are you smirking at?" Ciel snapped handing the stone to his mate.
"I do so love it when you're cruel my dear one."Sebastian replied.
"It's his own fault, he should've kept my family out of it." There was a great deal of pain in the young demon's voice this time.
"Ciel, you know that you couldn't have done anything for them don't you?"Sebastian held him close. "He's just trying to get to you and I apologize."
"Let's just find Naveen and get back to the children, they'll be hungry when they wake up." Ciel turned to walk away but Sebastian lifted him into his arms and began nuzzling Ciel lovingly.
"I love you so much Ciel,please don't let him hurt you in this way. My heart hurts to see you in pain. "
"I love you too." Ciel rested his head on Sebastian's chest. As they walked back toward the entrance, Sebastian made a silence vow to make his brother truly regret what he did to Ciel.
