Grace's pov

Well class was...interesting. Kim and I got in trouble chatting and I spotted her and Jack having a little paper fight. Awe, they're so cute together! It's a shame Jack broke up with her... Poof! Idea formed. After class we were filing out. Since I got out early, I waited for Kim. I took the opportunity to quickly text Mel, the Chief Editor of the School Paper.

"Hello?" she said from the other line

"Mel? It's Grace. I need your help with something"

"What is it?"

"I need you to give Kim the scoop on the 'Mystery Musician' to work on"

"Why...?"

"Let's just say it's a part of a plan that would make two people very happy. Please?"

"Um... fine. I'll see what I can do."

"Thanks! Expect her soon" I said and cut the call. When Kim came out, she had a depressed look on her face

"Hola Senorita!" I said trying to cheer her up

"Yeah. Whatever" she said dully

"Don't tell me you're still going on about Jack. Get over it! Even though it may seem like an impossible task, try!"

"That's the thing! I can't try! If I try, I remember the whole thing all over again and it breaks my heart all over again!" her voice sounded shaky, like she wanted to cry. Time to put my idea into action

"Well... don;t worry about it! I know how you can get your mind off him!"

"How?"

"Journalism!" I said with a proud grin "I bet the Chief Editor has a really good scoop for you to work on. Why not head to his office right now?"

"Hmm...you may have a point. Okay. I'll do it" she said trying to sound cheery

"That's the spirit! Now go!" I said giving her a light push. She nodded and ran off

-Lunch time. In the Cafeteria-
I was sitting on a table with Mika, Julie and Kelsey eating our lunch. I was drinking from a juice box when I heard my name boom from afar

"Grace!" That made me choke on my juice. The girls and I turned to the source of the voice. It was Jack. He was walking briskly towards me. The girls turned and looked at me while I was still coughing, trying to clear my throat.

"What did you do?" asked Kelsey

"Nothing...that I'm aware of" I managed to say. Jack reached us and we turned back to him

"Grace. I need to talk to you" he said. He had a look of desperation on his face. As I was about to get up, someone tugged at my arm

"Um, you do know that the whole cafeteria's looking at us, right?" said Julie. I looked around and saw many pairs of eyes on us. I felt really embarassed and moved to a corner quickly with Jack. Luckily, everyone went back to their businesses. I turned to Jack with an annoyed look on my face.

"What is it?" I asked a bit irritated

"It's Kim"

"Kim? What happened to her? Is she okay? Was she in an accident? Did anyone do anything to her?" I asked quickly, my voice full of concern.

"No no no. Nothing happened to her. I hope" he added quietly, but I was able to hear. "The thing is... I like her" I looked at him dumbfounded, not knowing how to respond

"Well duh"

"I mean, I still like her. Despite the fact that I broke up with her, I still like her. Heck, I love her." Part of me wanted to say 'awe', the other part of me wanted to scream at him.

"Then why did you break up with her?"

"I was being stupid. I jumped into action too quickly. I wasn't thinking. I was so mad over the fact that Kim couldn't stand up for our relationship that I didn't realize what I was doing. and now I regret it. Grace, I need her. She's like oxygen to me."

"Okay, that's sweet and all, but I have no idea what I'm going to do about the both of you." Then my plan came into remembrance, but I didn't want Jack to know about it. "Maybe we'll talk about this later... in a less populated place."

"Okay. See you soon" he said and left. I went back to my table, the eyes of the girls on me

"Well?" asked Mika

"Nothing important. Just a little crisis"

"Must've been really important. For him to call your name like that, it must be really bad" said Julie

"Yeah..." I said awkwardly and we continued with our lunch until the bell rang for the next class.

~In the hallways~

Yay! I just realized Kim, jack and I have a free period. The perfect way to execute my plan fully. I was getting a book from my locker when Kim ran up to me with a notepad and pen in her hands and a huge smile on her face.

"Grace! Guess what? Mel just told me to work on the 'Mystery Musician' scoop!"

"That's great! I think you should wait for him in the Music room."

"The Music room? Well duh! Where else would the 'Mystery Musician' be? Why is there a mystery musician again?"

"Cause we got news that someone's been playing the instruments in the music room after school. The janitors told us." I said. I turned round and saw Jack afar. He was coming in our direction! I turned back to Kim quickly. "Now go! Or you might miss him or her" I gave her a push and she ran off. Just in time, Jack came

"Hey Grace"

"Oh hey!" I said a little nervous

"What's wrong?"

"Oh nothing." Time to execute his part of the plan "You know? Miss Gilda wants to see you."

"Miss Gilda? Why does she want to see me?"

"How should I know? She's in the music room by the way. You should get there fast. You know how impatient she can get."

"Right." He said about to go. But he stopped in his tracks. "Wait, are you still gonna help me out with Kim?"

"Um, yeah sure whatever" I said quickly. He gave me an odd look and left. Whew! I need a milkshake.

Jack's pov

I went to the Music room. Woah, I don't think I've ever entered here before. As I opened the door, I noticed it was pretty dark, but I was able to see some of the instruments. Then I saw a figure sitting there. I couldn't see the person's face. It was kinda scary.

"Miss Gilda?" I called out silently. The figure stood up. I got even more scared. I entered fully and closed the door. The figure was walking slowly to me

"Are you the 'Mystery Musician?'" asked the figure. Wait, I recognize that voice! It couldn't be...

"Kim...?" I asked. I heard her gasp a little

"Jack? You're the 'Mystery Musician'?"

"No...you're Miss Gilda?"

"What? No!"

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"Well, I was supposed to interview the 'Mystery Musician'. But I guess he's not here." she said. She sounded a little disappointed. "I guess I'll just go". She walked past me, about to go.

"Kim!" I called out to her. She stopped in her tracks and turned around

"Yeah?"

"Can...can we talk?"

"There's nothing to talk about Jack..." I walked closer to her.

"Sorry about class today." I said sheepishly. Though I really couldn't see her face, I could tell she was smiling

"I almost got in trouble because of you. Why did you do it?"

"...because I still love you" I said with passion in my voice

"Then why did-"

"-I break up with you? Because I was being a stupid person. I wasn't thinking of the outcome. I wasn't thinking about what would happen to us and the people around us. I miss you so much Kim. I mean that. I should never have broken up with you." I heard small sobs escape from her mouth. "Are you crying?"

"It's just that... W-when you broke up with me, I thought my life was over. I had no idea what to do with myself again. I felt like half of me was gone." she said with a choking voice. That really touched me. I gently pulled her into a hug and she hugged me tightly. Her sobs were louder and I could feel her tears stain my shirt.

"It's okay, Kim. Stop crying." I said softly. She pulled away from me but she was holding my shoulders while my hands were on her waist.

"Without you, I feel so empty" she said. Though we couldn't see each other clearly, I could tell she was staring right into my eyes. I was having the feeling I usually had when we were looking into our eyes.

"Kim..." I said so softly that it counted to be a whispered. She silenced me when she placed her lips on mine. Of course I kissed back. The kiss wasn't rough and seductive. It was sweet, passionate and full of love. Neither of us wanted this to stop.

Grace's pov

"But Miss Gilda, everything is in order. No need to go to the music room"

"Even so, I need to see for myself." said the middle-aged music teacher. She gently opened the music room and turned on the lights. What we saw shocked us both. Jack and Kim were sharing a passionate kiss.

"Awww..." I said placing my head on my hand

"This is unacceptable! I must see the principal about this!"

"Oh calm down, Miss Gilda. Just look at them. They've been through a lot." I said. I guess they didn't care if we were there, they continued with their kiss.

"Well... you what they say. You can't beat young love. I was through this once..." she said, her eyes full of remembrance. "Fine. I'll let this slide." Miss Gilda left and I turned off the lights and gently closed the door, but I decided to stay there till they were done.

Jack's pov

Kim and I continued our kiss, though we heard Miss Gilda's voice and someone else's voice. After what seemed like 4 minutes or so, we broke apart.

"Kim...I love you..." I said softly

"I love you too..." she said "But what happens from here? We aren't together anymore."

"Well I wanna get back with you again. I don't know about you though..."

"Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes! A million times yes!" she said over-excitedly

"Okay! Okay! Calm down Kimmy" I said laughing. She playfully punched me in the stomach. We hugged again and I spoke up

"Now that we're back together, perhaps we could talk about a certain someone's anger issues in class..."

"Shut it, Brewer" she said with a muffled voice "Don't ruin the moment" I chuckled a little. We broke apart quickly when we heard the door open again.

"Oh no. We're doomed" I said to her. The lights came on and we shielded our eyes .
"Ta da!" said a well known voice. I opened my eyes and saw Grace standing at the door.

"Grace? What are you doing here?" asked Kim

"Oh, just checking up on you two. Say Kim, did you get to see the 'Mystery Musician'? and Jack, did you get to talk to Miss Gilda?" She asked with a wide grin on her face. a small smile crept to my face.

"Let's not talk about that. School should be over by now, right?"

"Yup" said Grace

"Great. I'm heading over to Phil's for something to eat. I'm so hungry!" said Kim as she gave me a kiss on the cheek and ran off. I walked over to Grace with a smirk on my face

"You did this, didn't you?" I asked

"Hmm... maybe" she said and smiled "I couldn't bear to see you guys apart anymore. It was heartbreaking."

"Thank you Grace. Thank you." I said.

"You're welcome. But right now you need to concentrate on your upcoming tournament, keeping Kim close to you and watching out for Randy"

"I know. I'll be careful. Want to head over to Phil's and meet up with Kim?"

"Sure. You're paying though!" she yelled and ran out

Done! I was listening to 'Hello' by Adele while writing this. So...what do you think?
