JARVIS took control of the audio system to inform the team of Agent Coulson's apparent improvement. A surprised shriek interrupted him and he paused. Everyone turned to focus on Miss Lewis.
"Coulson!" "Phil!" "Son of Coul!"
Various exclamations layered and piled over each other as people began to move towards the bed.
Cancel previously enacted subroutine to avoid unnecessary repetition of information. Subject: Omega Authority – designation: Avengers – aware of noted status change.
Observation: Subject: Darcy Lewis – designation: Miss Lewis – appears pleased despite vocalization of emotion fitting parameters for potential trouble as defined by Maker: Tony Stark – designation: Mr. Stark. Recording of vocalization to be examined further in comparison with archives. Note – consider importance of context in reference to issuance of sounds.
JARVIS quietly observed and recorded the reactions of everyone as they quickly surrounded Agent Coulson's bed. His orders to extrapolate from observation, what Miss Lewis insisted on referring to as 'learning', would be enhanced by this opportunity.
"About time you woke up, Agent. You're littering up my tower."

Observations continued as the other Avengers made some form of contact with Agent Coulson. The agent appeared to be taking everything in, slowly growing a bit stronger with each passing moment, though still showing signs of deep fatigue. Captain Rogers spoke, as did Prince Thor. Doctor Banner merely smiled while Agent Romanoff nodded. Agent Barton attempted to pull back and move away.
"Oh, no, you don't," Miss Lewis muttered, keeping tight hold of his arm. She glared at him before turning a more pleading look on Captain Rogers. Then she turned to smile at Agent Coulson. "Hey, Agent iPod thief! Welcome back to the land of wide awake." She reached out and patted his arm. "Not to be rude or pushy or anything, but I'm kind of going to insist on you getting better at top speed. Pepper, Bruce, and I can't be the only sane ones around."

Agent Coulson relaxed, his eyes slowly blinking, each blink growing slower.
"Go back to sleep, Phil," Miss Lewis said in a soft tone. "Someone will be here when you wake up."
Breathing pattern deepening. Beta waves slowing down.
"Keep watch, okay, JARVIS?"
"Certainly, Miss. Lewis."
