Chapter 24

There was another meeting three days later after Rogue woke up. Over those three days Rogue had kept to herself thinking. Just thinking of what was to happen. Her feelings ranged from scared, upset, worry and anger. She had to make sure she had a straight face and a that her body language was somewhat normal or else they would expect something.

Rogue looked behind her. She was sat in that tree again, just thinking. She sure she felt someone's eyes on her. Someone watching her. But there was no one there. Not that she could see.

"Miss Rogue." Called a sweet voice from below her. Rogue looked down at Jen. "They wantcha in the meeting room."

Rogue climbed down and walked back to the base with Jen. Jen was a mix of emotions herself. Happy to be out of that cell and safe here, and upset she couldn't go home just yet because her father couldn't give her the same protection of the rebels could. Rogue patted the girls shoulder and the girl smiled up at her.

Rogue went to the meeting and, again, dominated the meeting with plans of how to take Sinister and his camps down. The rebelion keep going and breaking put mutant prisons, destorying the camps behind them. There numbers grew as they saved and restored more and more mutants back to health and they joinned in with the fight. But as they grew stronger, so did Sinister and the Sentinals.

Rogue had kept to herself for quite a while now, having the odd game of chest with Magneto and a few beers with Wolverine, but she couldn't help but feel watched. It was as if there were a pair of invisable eyes that shifted over her and her body. And she kept feeling a presence in her head. With that feelings, she went to Emma straight away, telling her to keep the Professor out of her head. Emma would sometimes say it wasn't the Professor in her head and Rogue was just ponder if she was going mad. But if she was then she had a pretty good reason to.

As Sinister's robots started to get stronger and capture more and more of the mutant freedom fighters and humans working alongside the mutants to help them, Rogue began to feel her calling. It was time. As always Rogue planned a meeting with the other head freedom fighters and she led the mission in the way she wanted.

Rogue had placed herself with a group of mutants whom weren't as strong as the X-Men or Magneto and his Brotherhood. She had set them up for failure almost, but they still had a fighting chance. Rogue made the plan for them and watched from a far as the mutants began to trigger the alarms of the camp and get inside. As Rogue stood there on the hill looking down at the camp and the five mutants trying seperatly to fight back against the Sentinals, Rogue turned and left.

"What!" Wolverine yelled, slamming his fist down on the table.

"She's a trator! We never should have trusted her in the first place." Said Cyclopse.

"We must not be rash in our beliefs! Rogue may have had a good reason to fee or perhaps-" The Professor tried.

"She let innocent mutants die!" Snapped Cyclopse.

"Prehaps that was her plan." Said Magneto, cold and distant. All looked to him.

"What do you know about this?" Growled Wolverine.

"I know nothing of what Rogue plans and does. However I do know how to play chest-"

"That's brilliant Magneto, but we ain't interested in your games." Wolverine snapped.

"But don't you see Wolverine? This is a game." All the leading members of the rebelation went quiet. "Me and my dear Rogue once played a game of chest not so long ago. A game of chest which she won and which I saw something click behind those bright eyes of hers."

"What are you getting at?" Asked Cyclopse.

"What I'm saying is Cyclopse is that Rogue is simply playing a game of chest. She has formed a plan and has seen her opening. However to gain that opening, she needed to make sacrifes."

"Erik, are you saying that you knew of Rogue's plans?" Asked the Professor.

"I knew not of her stratages. Not even after we planned our next moves. Rogue and I have played may games of chest and I'm sure she decided to mix up some of her moves making it hard to understand how she was playing. But what I am saing Charles is that it is most likely she has gone after Sinister."

"And Rogue knows where he is?" Asked Storm.

"I do not know. But if she doesn't then she will soon enough." Finished Magneto.

"When what are we to do about this? Are we just suppose to leave her on her own?" Asked Storm.

"No. I will use Cerbro and try finding her before anything bad might happen." Said the Professor. "Though this will be hard to do and I will need all the assisstence I can. Emma you will help me and Jean- Where is Jean?"

All the X-Men looked around the room.

"She is most likely seeing to the injuried with Hank. There are other psychics Professor. Perhaps they can help." Said Storm.

The Professor, however, had a surspisious look in his eye.

As Magneto had guessed, Rogue was now sneaking along the corridor to Sinister's hidden underground base. It had been hard to get in without Sinster knowing she was there, but after she took out a solider in the forest surrounding the base, she was able to know the switching times of all the guards, know where all the traps were and slipped inside the hidden door without getting spotted by the camera. Rogue took out more of the soliders, hurrying through the halls to get to Sinister, avoiding new traps she learnt of from other soliders until she was outside of the Experiment's Room.

Rogue sucked in a deep breath, pulling up the strengh to face him after so long and so much... On three she kicked open the door, and with a gun in hand stepped in, looking all around and finding Sinister in the middle of the room leaning over a mutant's naked and cut up body. The mutant was shaking.

"Hello my dear." He said, so casually with no sound of fear in his voice as he smiled while taking off his white mask. "I've been expecting you for some time now. How is my favourt test subject?"

Rogue was shaking. Just seeing him again frightened her so much that her mind went blank and she couldn't remember way she was there.

Sinister put down his tools and casually, with his arms behind his back moved towards Rogue. As Rogue realised what he was doing, she lifted the gun up higher to his head. But Sinister had come to stop right in front of her with the gun reflecting in the red jew on his head. "You wont shot me Rogue. We both know this. You want to, so desperatly want to, but you can't. Not because you don't have the will power, hatered or longing to kill me, but because you know that you can't servive without me. That day you were captured was the day the old Rogue died and my Rogue was born. You are mine Rogue and you have always been mine." His words slivered around her and hooked into her as a violent parteners words work on their victom. "You will do what I tell you to Rogue. And I'm telling you to put down the gun."

Rogue's control and power in her arms flauntered as her arms fell down for a moment, but she soon had a wave of anger and corage rush through her as she reaimed the gun at Sinister's head. Sinister frowned for the first time.

"She isn't yours Sinister." Came a female voice from the shadows of the door way. Sinister turned to see a woman dressed all in red with red firery hair step into the room. Her eyes were darker than space. "She's mine."
