Chapter 27

I wanted to let everyone know before they get to this chapter, that in this chapter I plan on making the Major and Aries the same person. I know it's not really suppose to be that way, but that's the way I want it. Keep reading it will become clear. Thank you and please remember to review and to be nice about it. Major's/Aries Pov

"MOVE!" Scarlet screams and shoots straight up in bed. She spins around looks at me, then jumps out of the bed and backs into a corner.

"Jasper?" I shake my head no, she doesn't move. I take a step forward and she flattens herself against the wall and puts up her hand.

"Stay away from me! Don't come any closer!" I stay still and hold out my hand to her.

"Darlin' I'd never hurt you, please calm down and come to me." She closes her eyes and shakes her head no.

"My mate, please look at me." She slowly opens her eyes.

"Look into my eyes darlin', ya know who I am." Com on darlin recognize me I'd never hurt you. Scar locks eyes with me, then slowly pushes herself off the wall and moves closer to me. When she's a few feet from me she stops and continues to stare me down. Darlin ya know who I am. I may not be Jasper, but I'm still yer mate. Scarlet's heart beats faster the longer she stares at me. I release the breath I've been holding, when she smiles at me and throws herself into my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist and laying her head on my shoulder. I bury my face into her hair and let her heavenly scent consume me. Scar's grip on me tightens and she inhales deeply, then begins to cry and whispers.

"Yer here, you've come back to me." I carefully lift her head up, her face is streaked with tears. I wipe her tears away, then gently kiss her. I smile at her turn and walk us over to the bed. Sitting down I turn her so that she's sitting in my lap sideways with her feet hanging over. Scar lays her head back on my shoulder and starts whispering. "You've come back." over and over.

What the hell is she talking about. She only knows Jasper I've never been out around her before! Jasper wouldn't let me, he thought I'd hurt her. Like I'd ever hurt my mate. Hell this woman's got so much hold on me. I've cried over her and that's one thing, I've never done. She sniffles, raises her head and smiles slightly at me.

"I'm sorry." A low growl comes from me and I take her by the chin.

"My mate ya never have to apologize to me for anything, understand?" She nods.

"But I would like to know why ya were crying." She wipes her face, smiles real big and kisses me on my cheek.

"Because I'm very happy." I cock my eyebrow at her.

"Ya cry like that when yer happy?" She giggles.

"Yes, I always cry when I'm happy."

"Don't get me wrong darlin', I'm happy that yer happy, but what's made ya this way?" The smile leaves her face. She looks at me for a moment, then presses her lips to mine. She doesn't bother to be gentle, she shoves her tongue in my mouth. Which I gladly except. The kiss is full of passion, lust, love and urgency. Scar has never kissed me this way before. I mean she's never kissed Jasper like this before. She pulls back and takes my face in both her soft hands.

"Ya want to know what has me on cloud nine?" I nod. She leans in closer and whispers in a husky voice.

"It's because you've come back to me, my Aries." She moves back on the bed and waits for my reaction. I ain't sure exactly how long I sat here, but when I hear Scar begin to cry again, then get up and leave I knew I'd sat here just a little to long. I shake myself from my stupor and run after her. By the time I make it to her, she's wrapped up in the wolfs arms crying. It breaks my heart when I see her like that.

I walk over to them, I reach down to take her from him, but he holds her tighter and growls at me.

"I don't know what you did, but what ever it was it was enough! Just leave her be!" I don't say anything, I squat down in front of them instead. I bow my head and sob. I feel a warm hand rest on my cheek, when I look up Scar's smiling warmly at me. I take her hand and kiss the inside of her palm.

"My mate please don't be up set with me. I didn't mean to hurt ya, just when ya told me that, it kinda threw me off guard and to be honest I don't know exactly what ya mean." She looks to the wolf grins then turns back to me.

"Major when I said you are Aries that's what I meant. You are my Aries from our past. My god of war"

"I don't understand darlin'" She motions for me to sit on the couch with them, then takes my hands in hers, looks at me and sighs.

"Before I begin, I would like to apologize to you, and to Jacob. There's a lot of things that I have not told you about our past lives. I'm sorry that I have not said anything, but..." I kiss her hand.

"Scar what did I say before? You never need to apologize to me." Jacob turns her to face him and grins at her.

"I'm with the Major. You don't need to apologize to me either. I know it's crazy but In my eyes you can do no wrong, so what do ya need to say sorry for?" She rolls her eyes, but smiles at us.

"Y'all only feel that way cause I'm yer mate and yer both nuts." I smirk.

"Yer right, we are both crazy as hell, over you. Now darlin' tell us what ya wanted to tell us." She looks to the floor, then clears her throat.

"Major, Jasper didn't create you as another side of himself, you created him as another side of yerself." I look at her funny.

"Scarlet, what are ya saying?" She sighs.

"In your past life before you met me, you were a cold blooded killer and a complete bastard ya didn't show or have compassion. You didn't know what love was, but then you found me." She giggles. "Well I actually found you but anyway once we met you didn't want to be that way anymore, but had trouble controlling yerself even with me. About two mouths after we met you hit me I forgave you of course how could I not, but it damn near destroyed you. Ya couldn't even look at me. So you left for a short while and I was a mess, but you came back and you had changed. You were still Aries of course, but a softer, kinder, sweet, loving Aries. But ya always reverted back to demon ya were when it came to fighting and battles. When you were reborn the kinder side of you which is Jasper was the dominate side. When Jasper became a vampire and couldn't handle being a killer you were finally set free." She quits speaking and stares at me waiting for my reaction. What the fuck do I say to that, I always thought Jasper created me and here it was the other way around. Finally I smile.

"I feel that yer tellin' me the truth, but we have a problem."

"What problem is that Major?"

"Darlin I want to stay here with you, but Jasper does not want that. He's fighting me at this very moment to take back control, but I refuse to let him. So what do you suppose we do about this?" She smiles.

"That's easy just merge yerself with him. He takes on yer traits and you take on his and ya become of one personality." I nod.

"I know that is the solution my mate, but Jasper seems to be set against it. He doesn't want to take on traits of a monster." She scoffs.

"Close yer eyes please."

"Why darlin?"

"I want to try something in hopes that it will jog yer memory. If it does then maybe just maybe Jasper will see that as one persona y'all worked well together"

"Before I do darlin'. Tell me how ya knew it was me?"

"It was yer eyes. Jasper's eyes are a golden honey color, unless he is hungry or lustful then they are black. Yers on the other hand are..." She blinks and disappears. Then reappears with a mirror and hands it to me. I look in the mirror and blood red eyes with green flecks are staring back at me.

"Whoa, why did my eye color change?"

"I don't know the answer to that but that's the color yer eyes used to be, red because ya fed from humans and the green comes from me when we mated somehow I passed some of my eye color to you. Now close them."

I nod and close my eyes. I hear my mate start to whistle a high pitch tune. Where have I heard that tune before? Memories from long ago come flooding back.

Jasper's Pov

When I open my eyes I'm on the floor gasping for air. Scar has her arms wrapped around me yelling what's wrong and Jacob is behind her staring down at me. I pull her to me and inhale her scent. Jacob relaxes and sits back down. After I get myself together I pull away from her and smile.

"I remember." She throws her arms around my neck and hugs me tight.

"Tell me what ya remember, Jasper." I unwarp her from me and grin.

"Don't ya mean Aries?" Her eyes go wide then she giggles.

"You've merged with the Major" I nod.

"How'd ya know darlin'?" She lifts a mirror to my face and I gasp my eyes are my normal honey color but with green and red running threw them.

"Will my eyes stay this color?"

"Yep has long as ya continue to drink from animals but if ya ever start drinking from humans again the honey gold will go away. Are ya gonna be okay merging with the Major?"

"It's not gonna be easy but I can do this. I realize that you need us both, that both of us make yer soul mate not just one of us." She smiles.

"Tell me what ya remembered, Jazz."

"Everything, but the thing that is the most clear is the day we met." She snuggles against me and whispers.

"Tell me." I place one arm around her back and the other around her waste and lay my head on top of hers.

"I had just finished dinner at the near by village and was on my way home. I was walking along whistling to myself, when I heard a low growl come from up ahead of me. I stopped and listened when I didn't hear it again I continued on. The next thing I know I'm being pinned down by a large brown wolf like creature with yellow eyes and it's going in for the kill. I get my arm between it's teeth and my neck and I get the upper hand throwing it off me. It crouched down and ready it's self for another attack I mimicked it's posture and waited." I pause and look down at her and smile, she smiles back at me knowing what I"m gonna say next.

"The thing lunged and I did the same, but instead of colliding with the creature I was sent flying backwards to the other side of the road. When I got up and turned around I saw another one of those creatures, but this one was solid white except for three little black spots on the tips of it's ears and tail. It stood between me and the other wolf growling. After a few moments the brown wolf turned and ran back into the trees. When it was out of sight the white wolf turned towards me. I crouched and ready for it's attack, but it never came. Instead the wolf transformed into the most gorgeous woman I had ever seen."

"Scarlet." I look to Jacob and nod.

"She walked toward me and I couldn't move I was mesmerized by her. When she reached me she gently touched my cheek and I came out of my defensive posture. We stared at each other for what seemed like forever it was then I knew what love was. She whisper to me that she had been waitin' for me and then kissed me." I lean down and kiss Scar on the nose then whisper in her ear.

"I knew then what ya were to me darlin', my soul mate." She grins at me. I bow my head and begin to sob again. Scar lifts my head up.

"What's wrong baby?" I drop my head back down.

"I also remember hitting ya."

"Jazz I forgave ya then, so don't worry alright." I shake my head. Jacob stands up and heads for the door. I look at Scar.

"He's angry that he can not remember his past life."

"Oh." We sit silent for awhile. I finally decide to break it.

"Darlin will please tell me what happened while I was hunting."

"The woman working with Jerome, turned herself into you and tried to attack Jacob. I threw him out of the way and took the attack myself." I growl.

"Why?! Jacob's a big boy he can take care of himself." She glares at me.

"So I would have done the same for you, if I can protect you or him I will!"

"Damnit Scarlet! What did Jake and I tell you after you locked us out of the fight with you and those newborns! We do not want you to put yer life in danger because of us!"

"It's okay for you and Jake to risk yer lives for me but I can not do the same for y'all!" I shake my head.

"Jake and I will put our lives on the line for you, because yer our mate and we would rather die than you." Scar jumps up and starts pacing around the room. When she stops and turns to me her eyes are glowing pure gold. Damn I just stuck my foot in my mouth, she's pissed.

"You can not tell me to stand back and watch you get hurt or worse die. You've lost yer fuckin' mind if ya think I will listen!" She storms out and leaves me sitting here. SHIT! I run after her but she's gone I look everywhere around the house but can't find her. I see Peter coming from the woods and dash over to him.

"Have ya seen Scar?" He laughs

"Yeah, she looked quite pissed. She was muttering to herself when she walked by. She grabbed Jacob then blinked and disappeared." I tell him thanks then run back to our room to wait.
