Chapter 29

Peter's Pov

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I can't believe this shit! I glare down at Jasper.

"You bastard how could you!? Do you know what ya've done!?" He doesn't say anything just continues to sob and mumble incoherently. I growl, grab him by the forearm and drag his worthless ass down stairs. I pull him in to the family room and throw him to the couch.

"You better not say a fuckin' thing! You so much as blink I'll rip your fuckin' head off!" I turn around to find Char and the Cullens standing there. Rose, Esme, Bella and Alice are all hugged up to their mates crying. Carlisle, Edward, Emmett, and Shawn look ready to kill. Char comes over to stand with me. She looks down at Jasper and hisses.

"Ya've really step in it now, Major! What the hell were you thinkin'!? Oh yeah that's right ya wasn't, not with the big head anyway!" Jasper stands and growls.

"I didn't know! Damn it, she smelled and looked just like Scarlet!"

"That's horse shit and you know it, you should have known! Even if she did smell and look like her, I'm sure she doesn't fuck the same way or kiss or fucking look at you the same! So don't give me that shit that you DIDN'T KNOW!" Emmett roars.

"I swear to ya I didn't know! Edward fucking help me out here!" Edward pulls Bella closer to him and growls lowly.

"Why should I! You've done something I never thought you'd do! Either way you've destroyed my baby sister! Scarlet trusted you she gave all of herself to you and you toss it back at her like it's trash! So fuck you!" Carlisle steps forward and places a hand on Edwards shoulder.

"Edward all of us are upset." He glares at Jasper. "Extremely upset, but it would help to know if Jasper did this intentionally or not." Edward looks at us, then sighs.

"No, he really thought she was Scar. He didn't know it wasn't her till he heard Scar gasp. He jerked his head to the doorway to see Scarlet standing there shaking. He looked back at the one on him and it was the black-haired woman. He doesn't know who she is." I turn to Jasper.

"That's the bitch workin' with Jerome. She's the one Scarlet's grandmother warned us about. The two dollar slut bag can change into any of us. She's the one who attack Scarlet that night in the form of you!"

"Enough we'll worry about Jasper's sorry ass later! Right now we need to find my sister! Scarlet's out there probably dying of a broken heart and we're standing here arguing with the dick head that did it! We need to go now!" Rose cries out. Just as she finishes Jacob comes busting threw the door. He makes a beeline for Jasper and throws a right hand catching him square on the jaw. Jasper goes flying back into the mantle over the fireplace. Before he has a chance to recover Jacobs on him hitting him and screaming,

"SHE'S GONE I CAN'T FIND HER!" Emmett and I pull Jacob off him. Jacob fights us, kicking and screaming.

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" We pass Jacob off to Edward and Carlisle. Esme comes over and takes Jacobs face in her hands.

"Jacob sweetheart we need you to calm down and tell us, what you're talking about. What do you mean she's gone?" Jacob takes some calm breaths.

"I can't find her scent and I can't feel her anymore." He looks at Jasper.

"Do you feel it you piece of shit, she's not there anymore." I turn to look at Jasper. He closes his eyes for just a second. When he opens them they're dead, he roars clutches his chest and falls to his knees. As soon as he hits his knees, I hit mine.

"He's right, I can tell her body is still alive, but her mind and heart are gone. Scar's gone there's only an empty shell left now." I choke out. I look at Char and take her hand.

"It hurts Char, I've never felt pain like this before. I feel as if I'm the one dying." Jacob snorts.

"How do you think I feel! My mate's dying on the inside and there's not shit I can do. I can't feel her out, I can't sniff her out, and I can't fucking see far enough in front of me because of this fucking rain to look for her!" Jacob hits his knees crying and shaking, he jerks his head and looks Jasper's way.

"This is your fucking fault leech, I knew you'd hurt her somehow! I should I've followed my instincts and took her away from here and you, but I trusted Scar when she said you'd never hurt her, I guess we both were stupid!" We all are at a loss on what to do. We stand here listening to the thunder crash and boom above. Streaks of lighting are lighting up the night sky as they strike down very close to the house.

The wind whips and howls all around us. We're all startled when a tree limb comes crashing through the front window.

"What the hell is up with this weather, it never gets this bad in Forks. A few thunderstorms sure, but nothing like this!" Alice hollers out. Lighting strikes again, but this time it strikes the house. That's when it hits me.

"Scarlet." Everyone looks at me.

"What'da mean Peter?" Char asks.

"The weather it's Scar, she's the one causing this!" Alice gasps. I turn to her and nod. It's the dream! Edward roars and starts throwing things. Bella and Carlisle get him under control, then Carlisle turns to me.

"What the fuck did he just hear to make him lose it like that!"

"Carlisle dear please mind your language!" Carlisle looks at Esme.

"Esme my daughter is out there dying, my son has lost his mind and the other has turned into a two timing asshole! I think the time for proper language is over! Now what did Edward just hear to make him lose it like that." I sigh but before I can say anything Alice steps forward.

"It's the dream daddy, Scar's gone to kill herself." Both Jasper and Jacob jump up and race out the door. We follow close behind, they seem to know where they're going. I look to my left and see Emmett keeping pace, I call out.

"Do you know where we're going? Jasper and Jacob seem to!" He nods.

"Yeah I know where we're headed. We're headed for the cliffs in La Push where Jake and the pack like to cliff dive." Shit! When we reach the cliffs we scan the area for Scar, but no one can find her. Bella screams.

"OH MY GOD! LOOK!" We all turn to look at her, then turn to the direction she's pointing. Standing on the highest cliff is Scarlet. Not even the pack will jump from that cliff it's to fuckin' high! Even they know it's too dangerous! All of us start screaming and yelling her name, but it's as if she can't hear us she stands there staring down at the water.

"I'm going to get her!" I growl out, then run to the top of the cliff. Before I can step out of the shadows, Jasper steps out and starts moving toward her. Jacob makes it to my side seconds later.

"What the fuck is he doing!?" I shake my head. I didn't know, but what I did know is all he's going to do is make it worse. Jasper stops fifty feet from her and tries calling her.

"Scarlet, darlin' please come away from the edge and let me explain!' Nothing she doesn't move, instead lighting strikes in front of him and thunder crashes above. He moves closer and tries again. I feel a whoosh of air, I look to see that Char and the rest of the family has finally joined us.

"Scarlet, baby please come to me!" Still nothing same thing happens again, but this time if Jasper hadn't of jumped out of the way it would have fried his ass, but he doesn't give up he moves closer still and continues to try to talk to her.

"Scar please I love you, I don't want any other woman! It was an accident!" That seem to stir something inside of Scar because she slowly turns till she's facing Jasper. Scarlet stares at him, blinks then screams.

"ACCIDENT!? ACCIDENT!? WHAT DID YOU DO JASPER, ACCIDENTLY TRIP AND FALL DICK FIRST INTO HER FUCKING PUSSY!" Jasper sobs.

"Baby I swear it wasn't like that. I fell asleep after you left with Jacob! I was awaken to my dick being put into someones mouth, I opened my eyes just a little and saw you! The door slammed shut down stairs, as soon as it did you or who I thought was you grabbed my dick and shoved it inside her, I didn't protest because I thought it was you, she looked and smelled just like you! It wasn't but a few seconds later I heard you gasp, I looked and saw you standing at the door. I tuned back to look at who was fucking me and it was that black-haired woman working for Jerome! I swear on my life I didn't want this to happen, I love you!" Scarlet falls to her knees, crying and whispers.

"Was I not enough for you, Jasper? Did I not make you happy? You told her you loved her."

"Oh darlin' I thought I was saying that to you and yes baby you are the best thing that ever happened to me! You make me happier than I've ever been!" Scar buries her face in her hands and continues to whisper.

"It's not my fault I didn't ask for two mates. I know sharing isn't easy, but did I deserve this? Why? What did I do?" Fuck, Jasper what yer saying ain't working! It's fallen on deaf ears! Jasper takes a steps froward, when he does Scar jumps to her feet and takes a step back.

"Don't you dare come any closer! Take one more step toward me and I'll fucking jump!" Jasper screams.

"No! Baby I'm begging you, please come away from the edge! I love you and only you, please come away from the edge." Scar shakes her head.

"I don't believe you."

"Please, please darlin' believe me you are the only one for me, I've been set up by Jerome! I'm pleading for you to believe me!" He says this while taken a step forward. Scar swallows and turns to look in our direction.

"Bella, Edward, Alice, Shawn, Char, Rose..." When she locks eyes with Emmett she whispers. "Emmy bear, I've never had brothers and sisters before thank you for loving me and making me one of you." Then she turns to Esme.

"Thank you for being my mother, you always will be." Her eyes find Carlisle's

"Thank you daddy, I love you." She then looks to me.

"I love you Peter, thank you for everything and for being there." The waves begin to get higher, they're starting to crash over the top of the cliff. The water is pooling around Scar's feet. Scar looks and smiles at Jacob.

"I'll always be with you even if ya can't see me. I love you my Jacob, my mate don't forget me." I hold my breath praying that she's not thinking what I think she is. Her eyes are back on Jasper now.

"I loved you Jasper, you held my heart in the palm of your hand and you crushed it like it was nothing! I warned you Jasper! I warned you!' She takes another step backwards. She's at the very edge now I can see the rocks underneath her slipping away from her weight. Scar bows her head and whispers.

"You did this, you killed me." Just as the last word slips from between her lips a massive wave over takes the cliff and pulls Scarlet over the edge down into the dark raging waters below. I can hear myself scream her name as I long with every male on that cliff follows her over. Hitting the water first I dive underneath the waves and start searching for Scar but I can't see her. No! No! Please let me find her! I surface to find the others have surfaced also, with the exception of Jacob and Jasper.

"HAVE YA FOUND HER!?" I yell out to them, they all shake their heads. Jasper and Jake surface with loud roars.

"FUCK WE CAN'T FIND HER!" I can hear the girls yelling at us from the beach.

"SHE'S OVER THERE, LOOK!" I turn north from the beach and look out into the water. There about five hundred yards out being tossed and flipped by the now dying waves is Scar. I quickly swim out to her and take her into my arms. She bleeding from her head, her heart beat is very weak and she's not breathing.

"Oh god, little darlin' what have you done!?" I turn her so her head is against my chest and wrap one arm around her and start to swim toward shore. Jasper and Jake meet me, I let Jake help me with her even though I didn't need it, it seemed to make him feel just a little better being able to touch her. Jasper tried to help, but I pushed him away.

"You've done enough already! Get the fuck away from her and stay the fuck away!" He growls.

"She's my soul mate you can't tell me to stay away from her because I won't do it!" We make it to shore and give her to Carlisle. He doesn't hesitate he begins CPR, after a few compressions Scar starts spitting up water. He takes her in his arms and takes off. The others take off right behind him. Jasper goes to run after them, but I close line him to the ground, bury my knee in his chest, grab him by the neck, bare my teeth at him, pull him closer and hiss.

"Until Scar says she wants you back, you will stay the fuck away from her, understand! If you don't do as I say I will have no problem doing what I was created to do and that's kill the sombitch that hurt my queen! STAY AWAY FROM HER!" I roar and toss his sorry ass back into the water, then run like hell for home.

When I make it back the house is quite, I walk in and see every one, but Carlisle and Jacob sitting at the bottom of the stairs. I go over and hug Char to me. We sit and wait not saying a word. Jasper comes threw the door, he stops when he sees all of us. He stares at us for a while then comes over and sits down next to us. None of us have the strength to fight, so we don't say anything.

Hours pass and it's starting to eat at us, just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore. The door to Scar's bedroom opens. Within seconds Carlisle's walking down the stairs toward us. Every one of us jump to our feet.

"Well how is she!? How's my baby sister!?" Edward damn near screams at him. Carlisle places one hand on Edward's shoulder and the other on Emmett's. He bows his head, when he looks back up he has tears in his eyes.

"I don't know." Jasper roars.

"What do you mean you don't know! Yer a fuckin' doctor how could you not know!" Carlisle roars leaps froward grabs Jasper and pins him to the wall.

"You are the reason my daughter is like this, so don't test me or I'll gladly rip you to pieces myself!" He lets Jasper go and steps back.

"She's alive but I don't know if she'll remain that way. I don't know if she'll fight to live or not, being what she is she could have easily swam to shore, but she controlled those waves and made them slam her into those rocks over and over, she made them take her under the water and keep her there till she could breathe no more. If she doesn't fight she won't make it, she didn't want to live so unless she fights for herself, she won't." Every one of us hit the floor dry sobbing. All but Jasper he stands still with tears running down his cheeks. Moments pass and it finally sinks in for Jasper. He screams and falls to the floor.

Carlisle turns to go back up stairs, but stops before he reaches the top. He glances back over his shoulder and looks at Jasper.

"One more thing you should know Jasper." We all can't help, but to look at him. "If I were you I would be long gone before Jacob comes out of that room. I can't be sure because it was too early to tell, but either way you killed the baby she carried within her." I can't tell you what happened next, but when I came back to myself I was being pulled off Jasper and I had one of his arms in my hand and I was yelling. "I'll kill you!" over and over.

Emmett and Shawn pull me out to the back yard. I kick and yell for them to let me go but they don't, not till we're a good two miles away from the house. When they finally do let me go I fucking lose it. I destroy everything within my reach, when there's nothing left to demolish, I roar out and fall down to my knees and bury my head in my hands. I feel Char wrap her arms around me.

"Peter, ya need to get it together, I need you to be strong and so does Scar." I bury my face into her neck and sob.

"I failed Charlotte, I let her get hurt! I knew something bad was going to happen! It had eaten at me since I saw Scar leave with Jacob, but I never would have guessed this would be it! I didn't know Jasper would do this! Scar wants to die because of him, we don't know if she'll fight to stay with us or not and because of his fucked up actions she lost the baby she was carrying! How can I be strong when everything has gone to Hell in a hand basket, within a matter of a few hours!" Char hugs me tighter.

"Shh, Peter sugar this is not your fault, this is all Jasper's doing! I know that if there was anyway you could have stopped this you would have, so please don't be hard on yerself! Scar's going to need you when she wakes up!"

"But..." She stops me.

"Yes I said when because she will wake up and she will need you and Jacob!"

"She won't need me." I whisper.

"Yes she will sugar, you are Jasper's brother, you will be the closest thing she has to him!"

"Char I..."

"Not that way ya goof, she'll need comfort, she'll want you near because she'll be close to him without actually being close to him and she'll need you till she's ready to forgive Jasper."

"I don't think she'll ever forgive him, especially when she learns of the baby." Char smiles.

"She'll come to believe him in time and when she does she'll forgive him and take him back, but it's going to be a hard road getting there. There's still the chance she could wake up and decide to do what Jerome wants her to do and that's come to him so that the bonds can be broken, only time will tell."

"Fuck, Char I hope she doesn't do that, Jacob doesn't deserve that and neither do we." She looks at me funny.

"If the bonds between Scar, Jasper and Jacob are broken, she'll leave us and all ties between us will be broken as well."

"Don't worry Peter, things will work out."

"I hope yer right darlin'." She pulls me up and starts pulling me toward the house.

"Come on lets go back to the house, we need to check on Scar." I stop her.

"I'm not going back to that house until Jasper's gone! If I go now I'll kill him!" She smiles softly, then place a quick kiss on my lips.

"Sugar if this was you instead of Jasper, would you leave?"

"No wild horses couldn't drag me away! I'd stay till I got ya to listen to me and take me back!" She raises her brow at me and smirks.

"Fine Char ya win, but if he even looks at me the wrong way, I'll toss him into the fireplace and light him up." She laughs.

"I'll help you, now come on lets go." For Scar's sake please don't let me kill this motherfucker!
