Previously on Millions But One

"Please sit". I watch her as she returns back to her desk and I sit in front of her desk waiting.

"Well why did you want me to come down here?" I asked with curiosity growing inside of me.

"Well we are gonna merge our company with the Echidna industry" My eyes widened as my lips parted. I felt like my heart skipped a beat. "That's nice and all but I still don't understand why I need to be involved."

"I'm not gonna marry that slut!" I shouted towards my mom as I quickly walked towards the door. "Sonic get back here!" my mom demanded. I ignored her and walked out the door slamming it in the process.

I get into my car and drive away from that place. My heart aches form the

past and I don't think I'm ready to face Tikal yet…

Chapter 7: The Promise

Amys POV

The sun shinning through the drapes. I can feel the warm light on my face shining so bright. I open my eyes and rub them to clear my vision. I turn to see Sonic gone. I scan the room but he is no where to be seen. I sit up straight on the bed and when I turned my head I saw a note on the corner table.

Dear Amy,

I'll be out for a few hours, so don't get caught up waiting.

I'll see you soon my love

S.

A smile forms on my face and I put the note back onto the table. I get up from the bed and grabbed some clothes and got into the shower.

ZZ

I walked downstairs to find Sonia eating her breakfast. I start to walk to her direction.

"Good morning" I waved to Sonia which she acknowledged and waved back. "How was your night?" Sonia asks me.

"It was good. What's for breakfast?" I ask her. "Well Manic cooked waffles so go grab a plate" Sonia stated. I nodded and head to the cubers which had the plates. I've only been here for a day and I already know where everything is hehe.

I grab a plate and a cup. I then head back to the dinning table and took a seat across from Sonia. I sat down and grabbed two waffles and poured some juice into the cup.. For your information I love waffles. I could eat waffles everyday if I could.

I spread some Nutella on the waffles then placed some freshly cut strawberries on top of the Nutella. Finishing it with some syrup. This was my favourite topping for guys should try it too hehe.

I take a bite from the waffles and my taste buds tingled. Tastes so good. "Manic really knows how to cook great waffles!" I complimented which Sonia smiled. "He is one of the best cooks in the house. Despite him being all bad" I chuckle and so did Sonia.

"So where is Sonic?" Sonia asks me as I shot my head up. "Wait didn't he tell you where he was going?" I quickly ask. Sonia looked at me with confusion "No.. he didn't tell me anything last night."

It was probably a last minute thing. "Well he left a note saying that he will be out for a few hours." I answer before shoving down another piece of waffles down my throat. I look back to Sonia and see her giving me one of her smirks. "What?" I laugh. "Nothing just… I'm glad you came with us" Sonia stated. I smile from her compliment. "It was my pleasure". We both laugh and we finish our waffles.

I get up and head over to wash the dishes but a hand stopped me. I turn to see Sonia shaking her head. "You are the guest. I'll wash the dishes" Sonia says as she gives me a warm smile. "But-" I was cut of from Sonia taking the plates from my hand and already heading towards the sink. I sigh in defeat and just watch her wash the dishes.

"By the way Amy I'll be heading out so you'll have the whole house to yourself today okay?" Sonia says as she finishes washing the last plate. "Oh Okay" I reply. I watch as Sonia walks out of the room and waves before leaving. I wave back and head back to Sonics room.

2 hours later

"I'm soooooooo bored!" I cry out lying down on Sonics bed. I thought this was gonna be fun having the whole house to myself. Pfft obviously not. I get up from Sonics bed and headed back downstairs to the kitchen. I grab some chips and some coka cola. I know I'm a girl but hey a girls gotta eat.

I walked into the living room and turned on the big flat screen tv. I plopped down on the couch and flipped through channels. As I was flipping through channels a channel had The Vampire Diaries episode playing. "Eeeeeeeeeeee" I fangirl around then placed the remote back onto the counter.

I shove down some chips as I watched the episode. "Isn't Damon so cute" I smile widely. The Vampire Diaries is one of my favourite series of the whole world!. Okay okay I know it might seem weird but like seriously. Stefan and Damon are two hot brothers like no one can resist those two.

After about an hour of watching The Vampire Diaries I hear the doors open. I stay silent at first and lowered down the volume to hear who it was. "Amy I'm home" I hear a familiar voice yell. A smile forms on my face and I feel butterflies flying in my stomach. I quickly jump up from the couch and run to the door.

I see Sonic and I quickly embrace him into a hug. He twirled me around as I laughed and nuzzled my face into his neck. Sonic finally put me down and gave me a peck on the lips which caught me of guard.

I watch as he chuckled then ruffled up my quills. "Missed me?" he questioned. "Yes!" I quickly reply then hug him again. "It was so boring" I let go of Sonic and gave him a peck on the cheek. He chuckled and grabbed my hand and I lead him to the living room were the tv was still on.

I sit down and pat the seat beside me. Sonic rolled his eyes as a smirk formed on his face. He sat beside me and swinged one of his arms over my shoulder. I nuzzled my head on his shoulder. He smells really good. "Wait is this the vampire diaries?" Sonic asks me. I look up to him and nod as I smiled. Sonic chuckled "Oh girls" I punched his chest playfully then focused back my attention to the tv.

ZZ

Sonics POV

The episode finally ended. I watch as Amy reached over for the remote and turned off the tv. "So where did you go?" Amy asks as she looks towards me. Shoot forgot about this. Should I tell her?.

"Uhh my mom called me and told me to go over to her office" I nervously reply as I rub my nape. "Oh?" Amy replies as her eyebrows raised up. "What did your mom want?" she asks. "Well it's mainly business" I respond. Business?! business?! It was more like being told that I have to marry my ex girlfriend because my mom wants to emerge companies with the Echidna company.

I let out a sigh which Amy noticed. "Is that all?" she asks as she crossed her hands across her chest. "Yes" I say before grabbing Amy and pulling her towards me. I fall back onto the couch and Amy falls onto my chest. "Fine I believe you" she says as she smiles. I nod and cares her cheek.

I wont tell her now. I didn't even agree to it yet so she doesn't need to know just yet. What am I gonna do…

Amy looks up at me as her face brightens up. "Let's go out!" she says. I smile. "Where?" I ask. Amy gets up from my chest and sits up. "Well there's a carnival that's open tonight and I was thinking maybe we can go for fun." she says as she bites her lower lip. The pervert I am I lick my lips. "Sure thing." Amy quickly smiles and jumps up from the couch. "I'll get ready" she says as she skips out of the living room. I smirk and ruffle up my quills. Maybe this is what I need right now. Get my mind off of things.

Amys POV

I head up stairs and walk into the walk in closet. I hope one day I can get one of these officially. I grab a red and black over sized plaid shirt. A pair of ripped denim shorts and a black shirt which had dope written on it. I place the clothes on the bed and start to strip down to my underwear and bra. I put on the denim ripped shorts. I take the black shirt and was about to put it over my head but a whistle stopped me. My body stiffened and my eyes widened. I slowly turn around to see Sonic leaning on the wall smirking. "Aaaahhh!" I quickly grab a pillow and throw it towards Sonic. A quickly put the shirt on and turned so that my back was facing Sonic. I place my hands in front of my chest and fiddled around with my fingers.

"Uhh… knock next time" I nervously say. I know this isn't the first time Sonic has seen me naked but it's just awkward. I feel a hand placed on my shoulder making me to turn. I'm now facing Sonic as we were inches away. "Your body is very sweet" Sonic whispers in my ear as shivers ran through my back. I punch Sonics chest playfully which made him chuckle. "Go get ready blue" I say. "Yes mam" Sonic responds as I watch him walk to his drawers.

ZZ

Soincs POV

"Ready?" I ask Amy. She nods and I take her hand and lead her to my car. I open her door and let her go in first. Wow that's the first. I quickly walk to my side and get inside. I start the engine and put the radio on. Now of we go to the carnival.

After a twenty minute drive we finally reach the carnival that Amy told me about. Many cars were parked and it was hard to find a parking spot. After five minutes of driving around I finally found a spot and parked the car. I got out and so did Amy. Me and Amy walk towards the carnival. Well actually we were just following the big crowd because we didn't know where to go.

I took Amys hand and intertwined our fingers together. She looked up to me and gave me a warm smile. I smile back and focused back on the street of many people walking. "There are a lot of people huh Sonic?" I look down to Amy then back to the busy sidewalk. "It sure is".

After what felt like forever we finally arrived at the carnival. I had to hand it to Amy, the carnival she found was very cool. So many rides were everywhere. The smell of food surrounding the atmosphere. Lights shinning down on the people and you can hear many kids and teens screaming and laughing.

"So where should we go first?" I ask as Amy scans the carnival. "Ooohh let's go to the roller coasters!" Amy jumps then pulls me to the long line of people. "This line is long" I say. "You're right… let's come back when the line isn't so long." Amy agrees and we head over to the log ride.

The line wasn't that long so we got on the ride pretty fast. "Next" the worker says. Me and Amy decided to sit at the middle. We sit down and we buckle up. As I finished buckling up I looked up to see a familiar echidna. It was Tikal. My heart sunk and I quickly look at Amy. Thankfully she was looking the other way and not towards Tikal. My eyes met Tikals eyes as she gave me a wink. I watch as she takes a seat behind me and Amy. Oh god.

"Sonic you okay?" Amy waves her hand in front of my face snapping me out of my trans. I blink a couple of times before facing Amy. "Uh yea sorry" I stutter. "Don't tell me you're already scared" Amy giggles. That giggle gets me every time. "Of course not" I smirk and swing one arm over Amys shoulder. She giggles once more and the ride finally starts.

"Okay ladies and gentlemen the ride is about to start. Please don't stick any feet or hands out of the ride and be safe. Hope to see you all back here in five a nice ride" The worker says before pressing the button. The ride starts to move. Amy wraps her arm with mine and squeezes it lightly. I squeeze back.

After the ride

We hop of the ride and I quickly drag Amy trying to avoid contact with Tikal. We finally got away from the ride. I look around to see if Tikal followed us and thankfully she is no where to be seen. "Sonic what's wrong?" Amy asks as she lifts one eyebrow. "Nothing just looking for another ride that we can go on" I quickly respond trying to avoid eye contact.

I grab Amys hand and turn around. I was about to walk of to another ride but a familiar figure stopped right in front of me. My eyes widened as I quickly stopped walking. Tikal was scanning me as I followed her eyes. "Sonic who's this?" Amy asks. Shit. Tikal smirks and stretches her hand towards Amy. "I'm-" I cut her of before she could say anything else. "She's an old friend" I quickly cover up. "oh" Amy stretches her hand and shakes Tikals hand. "I'm Amy" Amy introduces herself. "You know you look like a person I saw from Sonics photographs" I flinch and quickly look back at Amy who is now glaring at me. "Well I have a face people can't forget" Tikal states as she gives Amy a smirk. "Right" Amy blankly responds. Amy lets go of Tikals hand and holds my hand. Tikal lifts one eyebrow then looks back at me."Sonic we need to catch up sometimes." a frown forms on my face and I brush the question of. "Let's go Amy" I drag Amy away from Tikal and walked far away as possible.

I drag Amy to the ferris wheel and we get on. We sit down and I can feel the awkward atmosphere. "Talk" Amy commands as she looks the other way from my daze. I rub my nape not knowing what to say. "That was Tikal wasn't it" Amy questions me. I turn to look at Amy who still isn't looking at me. "Amy" I softly say as I try to make her face me. She slaps my hand away and turns her head to meet my gaze. Her eyes red and tears flowing down her cheeks. "Sonic just tell me the truth." her voice cracks and I feel guilty. "If you still love her then go for it. I don't want to be the person stopping you" she looks down as tears escaped from her green emerald eyes. I lifted her head withy my hands and wiped away her tears. "I don't love her anymore" I say as I lean my forehead on hers. "I….. love….you" I silently say but loud enough for her to hear. "I…..love…..you more" Amy states. I lock my daze with hers and kiss her passionately. This kiss was different. It was warm and sweet. Different from the other kisses. Different from Tikals… We broke of the kiss and the both of us panting. She leaned her head on my shoulder and intertwined our hands together. "Promise you will tell everything to me" Amy softly says. I look down to her and smile "I promise"

Tikals POV

"Hello dad" I say over the phone. "I found Sonic". I smirk "Yes he is with a a pink hedgehog". "Okay." "I'll make sure he falls for me again.". I shove the phone in my pocket and ran my hand through my hair. "Isn't Sonic and Amy gonna have a big surprise".

I'll be editing the first and second chapters of this story because I don't

like the way I started of the story.

I'll try to post the next chapter this week since I'm on March break xD.
