"So where is Sonic?" Sonia asks me as I shot my head up. "Wait didn't he tell you where he was going?" I quickly ask.

I see Sonic and I quickly embrace him into a hug. He twirled me around as I laughed and nuzzled my face into his neck. Sonic finally put me down and gave me a peck on the lips which caught me of guard.

"Sonic you okay?" Amy waves her hand in front of my face snapping me out of my trans.

Tikal smirks and stretches her hand towards Amy. "I'm-" I cut her of before she could say anything else. "She's an old friend" I quickly cover up. "oh" Amy stretches her hand and shakes Tikals hand. "I'm Amy"

"I don't love her anymore" I say as I lean my forehead on hers. "I….. love….you"

"Hello dad" I say over the phone. "I found Sonic". I smirk "Yes he is with a pink hedgehog". "Okay." "I'll make sure he falls for me again.". I shove the phone in my pocket and ran my hand through my hair. "Isn't Sonic and Amy gonna have a big surprise".

Chapter 8: So Cold

Amys POV

Me and Sonic get of the ferris wheel and decided to get something to eat. We decided to grab some pizza then head back home. "What toppings do you want?" Sonic asks me as we were in line. I look up to the menu "How about some pepperoni and bacon?" I ask. Sonic smiles then nods. "Next!" The cashier person says.

"We'll have a medium sized pepperoni and bacon pizza." Sonic replies. "Oh and two coka colas please" I quickly say before the cashier left.

After five minutes the cashier guy brought out our pizza. The smell making our mouth water. "That will be $10.99" the cashier demands. I was about to take out my wallet but a hand stopped me. I look up to see Sonic shaking his head. A smile formed on my face as I sighed in defeat. "Okay" I quickly say. I watch as Sonic gives the money to the cashier person then grabs the pizza and we walk to a available table.

We sit beside a window and open the box of pizza. The smell is astonishing. I think I found my new love hehe. I take a slice of pizza and so does Sonic. I watch as Sonic takes a bite. His face brightens and he melts down his chair. I smile then take a bite of my pizza. Damn this is good.

After we finished eating the whole pizza we threw the box into the garbage and walked out of the store. "Do you want to go on another ride before we go?" Sonic asks as he stares at me. I think before answering. "Let's just go home. I'm tired" I say. I actually wasn't tired. I just didn't want to see Tikal again tonight. Sonic nods then leads me back to his car. We get into his car and we drove back to Sonics family mansion.

ZZ

After about twenty minutes of driving we finally reached Sonics drive through. We get out of the car and see that the lights are turned on. "mhm they must be home" I say as I turn to look at Sonic. He had a serious look forming on his face.

I walk over to him and place my hands on his cheeks. "Hey you okay?" I softly ask as I look deeply into his green emerald eyes. Sonic smiles and places his hands on top of mine. "Yea let's go inside". I nod and he leads me to the front door. It took a couple of seconds before Sonic actually opened the door.

We get inside and I close the door behind me. We are welcomed by a familiar hedgehog. Sonics mom Bernie. She gives me and Sonic a warm smile before hugging me and then Sonic.

"Did you kids have a good time?" She asks as she steps back. I look at Sonic who wasn't talking. I looked back to Bernie "We sure did!" I gladly respond. Bernie smiles then crosses her hands across her chest. "Well Sonic we have to talk later. So go get changed then come back down to the kitchen okay?" Bernie says. "Sure" Sonic spatted as he lead my upstairs.

We reach Sonics room and enter inside. "Is there something going on with you and your mom?" I ask Sonic trying to get to him. I watch as he walks towards his cubers and grabs a pair of grey sweats and a white t shirt. "It was just a misunderstanding this morning. Don't worry about it" he says as he smiles towards me. I nod as I watch Sonic walk towards me. He cupped my cheeks "Don't worry about it okay? I'll quickly go down then come back. Get some rest, you said you're tired" he softly says. I nod and peck him on the cheek before walking pass him.

Sonics POV

I quickly go into the washroom and put on the sweats and white shirt. I get out of the washroom and see Amy lying in bed on her phone. Probably texting Rouge or something.

I chuckle then walk out of the room and down to the kitchen were my mom was waiting. I exhale before sitting across from were my mom was sitting. I cross my arms across my chest and waited till my mom talks.

"Sonic I know it's sudden news but you have to understand that this is good for the company" my mom spits out trying to convince me that I should marry my ex.

My voice deepens before I talk. "I'm not gonna marry Tikal" I calmly try to say. "Sonic just think about how good this will be for our company and for the Echidna company." she speaks again. I exhale and place my fists on the table. "A no is a no. I have Amy and she makes me happy. Tikal doesn't make me happy" I quickly respond.

"But that can change and when it does you will be thanking me" Bernie quickly responds back. I get up and I feel my blood boiling. How can my own mom think that I'll be happy with my ex that broke me. Some mom she is. "No" I angrily say before walking out of the kitchen.

I close my eyes and squeeze the stair railing. I then continue walking back upstairs to find Amy sleeping. I sigh and lock the door behind me. I then walk to the bed and get under the blanket with Amy. I embrace her into a hug and caress her back. "No one is gonna take you away from me" I whisper into her ear. I see her move as a smile forms on her perfectly lit face. "Of course no one is" she quietly responds as she nuzzles her face into my chest. I chuckle then closed my eyes.

The next day

I wake up three hours early to start packing. I don't want to spend anymore time in this house until me and mom gets it strait that I won't and don't want to marry Tikal.

I grab my suitcase and start shoving my clothes into the suitcase. I walk to Amy who is still sleeping. I kneeled down and caressed her cheek. I placed some strands behind her ear and pecked her cheeks. "Amy" I huskily whisper into her ears making her flinch. I watch as she opens one eye but leaves the other one closed. I chuckle before shaking her. "Amy get up we're leaving".

Amy quickly sits straight banging both our heads in the process. "Aaah…" I touch were me and Amy banged our heads. "Are you okay?" I ask Amy as she rubs the area were she got hit. She giggles then smiles. "Yep". I smile back and stood up. "Get ready we are leaving." I stated before turning around to continue packing up. "Wait why are we leaving? It's not even the end of the week yet." she questions me. "Plans changed" I quickly state. "Okay". I turn around to see Amy getting her suit case and heading inside the walk in closet.

Amys POV

I quickly take out the clothes from the drawers and place them inside the suit case. I'm not gonna change since the car drive is gonna be another five hours. I took a comb inside my suit case and combed my hair before going back into Sonics room.

"Okay I'm ready" I say as I see Sonic finishing up. He turns and smiles. I smile back and walk towards him. I embrace him in a hug and smell the cologne that he always wear. Smells good rofl.

"Is Sonia coming?" I ask Sonic as I kept hugging him. "Nah she will be dropped of by Manic in a couple of days" Sonic replies. I let Sonic go "Oh? Why isn't she coming with us?" I ask Sonic once more. "Nothing really. She just wants to spend some extra time here" I nod and take Sonics hand and intertwined our hands together. I smile as Sonic leads me out of the room.

The halls were quiet and dark. Well it's only 5am so I guess everyone is still sleeping. I follow Sonic who is pulling me. We reach the door and Sonic quickly opens the door and I follow behind him. "Aren't we gonna tell your mom?" I ask Sonic before getting into the car. "Nah I told her last night that we will be leaving today" Sonic responds as he opens the back door and places our suit cases at the back before going into the drivers seat. I get in and put on my seatbelt. The engine starts and Sonic starts to drive away. I wonder what Sonic and Bernie talked about last night.

ZZ

After the five hour drive. We finally reached my place? "Wait why are we at my place?" I quickly look at Sonic. "Well I was thinking that your mom is probably worried about you, since you didn't tell her that you were gonna go to some guys family mansion" Sonic chuckles. I smile and peck him on the cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow at school then" I say as I reach over for my suit case. "You can count on it" Sonic responds before I got out of the car and started to walk to my front door. I turned around and waved one last time at Sonic as I watch him drive away.

I open the door then close it behind me. "I'm home mom!" I yelled out loud. I hear loud steps coming from upstairs. I find a familiar figure walk down the stairs. I smile and so did my mom. She quickly ran to me and embraced me with a warm hug.

"Oh where have you been Amy?" my mom asks me as she caresses my cheek. "Sorry I forgot to tell you that I was going to a sleepover at my friends place" I cover up trying to sound convincing. My mom smiles and she nods. "Just next time tell me where you are going okay?". I return the smile and nod.

"Well I'll be in my room if you need anything" I say to my mom before walking upstairs into my room.

I close my door and start to unpack my clothes. I neatly put them all back in the right drawers and changed into a pair of shorts and a blue shirt. I grab my laptop and plopped onto my bed. I typed in and played some music. I grabbed my phone and check that there are three new messages. One from Rouge,Cream and that unknown number that texted me before.

"I wonder who this is" I tap on the number and placed the phone beside my ear waiting for the person to answer my call. "Hello?" a familiar voice answers. It's Sonic. "Sonic is that you?" I quickly ask. I hear him chuckle "Yes Ames it's me. Who else?" I sigh in relief and smile. "Nothing. I just didn't know who's number this was" I respond back. "Well I was texting you two weeks ago too but you didn't respond". Oh right I remember now. "Heh sorry" I nervously answer. "Hah it's okay" he answer. "I'll talk to you tomorrow okay?". "Sure thing. Bye Ames". "Bye blue" I say before hanging up.

I place my phone on my side table and went back on my laptop. This time I typed in netflix and picked out a movie to watch. I decided to watch Agent Hitman. I pressed play and got cozy under my blankets.

The next day

*DING DING DING DING DING* rofl

I slam my hand onto the alarm clock making it turn of. I rub my eyes and checked the time. Oh shoot!. It was 7:50 and class starts at 8:50. I quickly jump out of bed and grab a black skirt that goes above my knee and a white long sleeve. I go into the washroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth.

I got out of the washroom and quickly stripped from my clothes and put on the outfit that I picked out. I grabbed a pair of black vans and braided my hair into a french braid and placed it on my shoulder. I applied some light makeup and sprayed some perfume to finish of my outfit. I take my Jansport bag and shoved my textbooks inside. I then looked at myself one last time from the mirror and smiled at my own reflection. I then walked out of my room and ran downstairs to find my mom about to leave for work. "MOM!" I shout at her. She turns around and gives me a warm smile. I reach the bottom floor and smile back. "Can you drop me of at school?" I kindly ask hoping I wouldn't make her late for work. "Of course dear" I smile and follow behind her into her car. I get in and of we go to my school.

After a five minute drive. Yea I know it was fast but like it takes me fifteen minutes to walk to school so like by car it's way faster. "Thanks mom" I say as I kiss my moms cheek before getting out of the car and waving her goodbye.

I walk into the school and quickly head to the third floor were my locker was. I quickly walk to my locker and check the time. It was 8:45. my eyes widened as I quickly opened my locker and shoved all my binders and text books into my bag. I then closed my locker and started to make my way to science. 8:48 and two minutes to spare. I turn to the right at the end of the hallway were my science class is.

I stopped walking and the bell rang. As people walked passed by me my eyes couldn't believe what it was seeing. It was Sonic and…. Tikal kissing…. I felt my eyes starting to water and my vision blurring up. Why the hell is she here?!. I bit the bottom of my lip trying to stop the tears from falling. But I couldn't. The tears escaped from my eyes and I stood there watching them make out. So this is what it feels to be broken by someone you love.

The hall finally cleared out and everyone was at class except for me,Sonic and Tikal. I watch as Sonic pushes Tikal away then turns at me. Tears drowning my face. "Amy…" Sonic says as he took a step towards me. I took a step back and shook my head. "Just stop" I softly say as I quickly walk away.

Oh, when you told me you'd leave

I felt like I couldn't breathe

My aching body fell to the floor

I quickly run to the washroom and locked myself in a stall. I sobbed into my hands and I can feel my heart aching. I knew it. I can never be the girl that he first loved. I'm not Tikal and I'll never be anything like her. I get out from the stall and looked at myself through the mirror. I look like a mess. I took out a makeup remover wipe and cleaned my messed up eyeliner. I powdered up my face and took one last glance at my reflection before leaving and deciding to head back to science class.

They were right… they were all right… why didn't I listen to them.
