Klaus was sitting in the booth at Gloria's Bar watching his stupid sister flirt with at least 30 men in the bar, some leaving some staying. He wanted to grab her and scold her, dragging her back to his little booth but instead he downed his shot of scotch and filled it up with his bottle.

Gloria began singing St. James Infirmary Blues by Joe Cocker. I looked around again. Nothing of interest.

Then I heard Rebekah walk up to our booth. I just gave her a smile and looked at her. She held out her hand expectantly. I smirked and pulled her into the seat.

"Nik! I need money for some alcohol." she whined/pouted.

"No. You need to learn Rebekah." She looked at me clueless. "Stop flirting with everyone."

She grabbed my scotch and smiled. "Thanks for the beer Nik." She replied sarcastically.

I was about to stop her but I heard the door open and a new man came in. It was a male. 'Great'. I got up and went to the bar. "I want a scotch old sport." I said, bored.

He was about to pour me a glass but I compelled him to give me the bottle. I went back to my booth and promised myself to get wasted and have fun tomorrow night. My sister bumped into him and HE had the nerve to FLIRT with HER. I was about to get up but just downed half the bottle. A woman came up to me and offered some triangular sandwiches. I took four to complete a whole sandwich. I ate them in silence before I downed the rest of my scotch.

I got up and grabbed a woman and began to dance. I danced with her until three songs were over. By then the girl was falling over me. She was a real keen hoofer. I bit into her neck and began to feed. I left her staggering and went back to the bar to get drunk. I was on my tenth drink when I overheard some ossified saps razzing up a flapper. I looked over trying to decide to either watch or intervene.

"Hey babe. Why don't you and I leave this joint and go to my crib and -"

"I only talk to the big cheese." She said, trying to get out of the way. My entrance presents itself. The man grabbed her.

"I suggest keeping your mitts off my moll or get jacked up." I said menacingly. Maybe I could drain them dry, I was feeling rather thirsty.

"Ah look. This mac wants to be a Bruno." I am a tough guy, if only you knew that, you'd be shaking. Especially if you knew who I was.

"Leave this dame alone. You don't want to make me sore do ya?" I growled.

He went to punch me but I caught his fist and began to crush it, all the while sipping my beer.

"Need I say more?" I replied breezily.

"Let's blow this joint Jack." I let him go and they ran… Losers. I turned to the bim and smiled before turning my back on her and taking my beer back to my booth. She followed…

"What do you want?"

"That was quite brave of you. Taking on two members of the Vipers." I scoffed at her.

"Well tomato, it might surprise you to know that I am from a bigger mob. I'm a trouble boy myself anyway. So who's your man?"

"My bird is Johnny. Don't tell anyone this but my dream boy was Tony."

"Tony? The Cobra guy?" I asked, intrigued.

"Yep. Tony Reece. Who else? He's the big shot from the Cobras. Mama said that nothing is in store for Tony but the can. I always say that if Tony does go, it's cause he wants ta. Ya know?"

"Ya I know. Want a drink?"

"Not from you. Though I do thank ya for saving me. Do you know Tony?"

"Yes I do. We're closer than two people can get." I replied, smirking. She looked back at me like an idiot, a dumb dora in her language. I don't know if I like their language or not. However to be one of the on the top cool guys you'd have to speak it. She needed to know what I was saying instead of it being hinted at. Unlike Elijah, he always knew what I was saying, though that can be annoying in it's own right. "Nice to meet you. Name's Tony Reece." She scoffed this time.

"Stop talking apple sauce." I rolled my eyes. I got up and showed her Tony's signature gun, otherwise known as a bean shooter. She gawked, took it and examined it. Then she looked scared "I'm sorry I doubted you Tony. You don't just go with what someone says with things like that."

"Don't worry love. I understand on that subject. Now why don't you fade. I'll see ya later." I said as the song changed yet again. Gloria was singing 'My Sweet Hunk O' Trash'. I saw a vampire come in followed shortly after three of my men. The vampire tried to take a glass of wine but Beky took it first. The vampire tried to talk to her. 'I'll kill him!' I growled. My men sat at my booth without a word and waited for me to speak. "What?" I demanded.

"Tony how are we going to attack the Pythons and the Massacres?" They asked. We don't have to… unless they did something.

"What happened? What did you guys do?"

"Stole some supplies and maybe drilled a two."

"Then their out for blood. Well we'll just show em we're allowed to do that. They might attack at any time so I suppose stay in a group. Or we could round up some mates and murder the whole lot. Any ideas?"

"Be on guard. If we went in and tried murder, we could lose some men or worse, lose. After all, it would only take four months to forget about it."

"Why don't we just apologize and give the supplies back?" asked Nate. They all stared at him. I replied for them.

"We aren't a bunch of kids. If you are then you shouldn't have joined. Remember no one leaves the gang with their life. We told you that in the beginning." I was annoyed. "When you guys have a plan come find me." I got up and went over to Rebekah. I grabbed her arm and yanked her up to her feet. "It's late Rebekah, we're leaving."

"Get off me Nik." The boy got up.

"Who is this guy?"

"Stefan don't! He'll kill you. Nik's a lot stronger than he looks."

"So this is the famous Stefan Salvatore I've been hearing so much about. I'm bored. I wanna go."

"Then go without me. I'm not your girlfriend."

"No. You're my sister, which means you have to do as I say." I flipped her around to face Stefan. "Now say goodbye to your pretty little boyfriend number 965." She growled at me. She snatched away, walked up to Stefan and kissed him deeply. I gave her 30 seconds before dragging her back home.

When we got back to our apartment I turned to my sister. "What the hell was that?"

"What was what?"

"The scene with that Stefan kid Rebekah."

"Womanly Independence."

"Ah. So the same thing that happened in Iraq? When I TOLD you to stay inside but you LEFT anyway and you were ALMOST put to DEATH?"

"...No."

"...Yes. Do you remember what happened after?"

"And why are you bringing that up?" She almost screamed.

"Because if you pull another stunt like that it will happen again."

"You mean like what happened after Ameil?"

"Yes, like that."

"…"

"So next time I say we're leaving?"

"…"

"You'll leave with me when I tell you to right?"

"Yes Nik… Maybe."

"Good girl." I kissed her cheek, turned on the radio to one of her favourites and got a bath for her.

When she'd bathed and I had too, I got in the bed and Rebekah got on and laid her head on my chest, as I expected her to. She never got in her own bed. I began running my fingers through her hair when some men came in. "Any ideas then?"

"Yeah. We frame the other gangs. If you catch my meaning."

"Yeah, I do."

"So how's your moll doing?"

"She is not my moll. She is my little bird, but she is okay. Right Cecilia?"

"Yeah Tony. I just wanna go to sleep."

"Fine with me. It is late anyway. Leave us and go do what I've told you." He did. Rebekah and I went to sleep, her head on my chest and my hand in her hair.
