I'm sure Tyler talked about this some where and I wanted to put it in here. This is in Season 3.

I woke up in my bed, alone. Of course I was alone though. My siblings were all daggered. I smiled at nothing before getting up out of bed.

I had breakfast, blood with my favourite champagne like Stefan had taught me, I also had a cheeseburger with that, with fries. Also with blood instead of ketchup to dip my fries in and I had put blood in my food, a lesson I had taught Stefan after a few days of living with him.

My mind began to wander around what I had to do today, nothing. I had Kol to play with but he was in Denmark with Jeremy. I could take a walk around the city. That's something. From that thought, I knew today was to be boring.

A hybrid came in and waited for my attention. I finished my breakfast before looking at him. It was Daniel. I looked over at him. "What?"

"The Mayor called, it's about peace or meetings or something. Do you want to call her back? I told her to wait until you woke up." I then noticed I didn't have the slightest idea what time it was. If she was calling me it was past morning right?

"What time is?"

"It is 2012 January Tuesday 10 at 10:00 AM."

"Call her back." My mind drifted off to Tyler. I don't remember him ever getting an actual birthday when he turned and I've never been around for his. The others had already had theirs, I'd been there. So I kind of owed Tyler something. My very first hybrid and I didn't give him his rightful birthday. Well today can't be it. I'll do it on Saturday. He's in school right now. Boring school but I didn't want stupid hybrids around me either so it was satisfactory to me.

I looked back over my shoulder and saw Daniel had called her and held out the phone for me. I smiled, an eye brow raised in question, took it from him before shooing him off. I waited for her to pick up. She picked up on the third ring and I heard her voice.

"Hello, is this Klaus I'm speaking to?"

"Yes Mayor Lockwood this is Klaus. What did you want? Why did you call this morning?"

"I was wondering if you would like a position on the council?"

"And why would you be offering me a position?"

"I was just thinking that it might be wonderful to have a new person on the council. You could help this town, we all know you could." No what you want to do is keep peace between us. Have me help you with any vampire problems you could come up with. Why wouldn't I? I realized she was still waiting for an answer as I judged her in my head. I smiled at my distraction before replying.

"I will take it. I would love to help this town. I will be speaking for the hybrids and myself. We are, after all, different. Or maybe I should bring Tyler to represent the hybrids and me to represent myself." Why shouldn't it work like the Factions in New Orleans? I stopped my thought trail before I could remember what happened there but it was too late. The name Marcellus had crossed my mind and my mouth went dry. It was my fault he was dead… "Or I could bring Dean or Daniel. I mean Tyler is your son. He should not have to deal with these problems right? We all want what is best for him, what is safest for him." Tyler could handle it, he was my Beta. I was Alpha.

"We do want what's best for Tyler. I should be expecting you tomorrow and whomever tomorrow then?" I laughed at her repeating herself. I began to flirt with her. I obviously made her nervous. Of course I didn't really love her, I wanted Caroline. I couldn't pursue her right now though, because Stefan- no! Katerina had stolen my siblings. Stefan was too loyal to actually think about doing something that bad to piss me off. Though it was Stefan I had to talk to to get my family back.

"Why, Mayor, you do not have to be shy around me. I think you look pretty and pretty women should be confident in every waking moment, may it be speech or action. Even on the phone." She herself laughed, a kind of flattery giggle. It was working.

"Stop. I'm too old for you." I smiled back. She was now flirting with me.

"You are not too old for me. You are only what? 27?" I could tell I'd made her smile, it was in her voice.

"I'll watch for you tomorrow."

"Yes, please do, darling."

"Goodbye Klaus."

"Do not think of this as a goodbye, think of it as a See you soon type of thing."

"See you soon."

"See you soon Lina." She laughed once more with that laugh of hers before she hung up. I smiled, mission accomplished. Flirt With Mayor. I burst out laughing at that. What importance does that hold for me? Flirting with her? It was a game, flirting with girls was always a game… except when it came to Caroline. Caroline was serious business. And girls don't usually like it when you flirt with other girls. I stopped laughing and stood up from my chair, leaving my empty plate and cup. My hybrids would clean that up.

I left the house with nothing to do today. I walked over to the Mystic Falls High School and into the office. The first man I met was tall, 6' 2'' and had black hair and a beard. I smiled at him, he looked at me. The first thing he noticed was that I wasn't a student before handing his hand out to me.

"My name is Mr. Koenig. Can I help you?" I took his hand before shaking it. I don't like touching humans… but I did it anyway.

"My name is Klaus." I began to compel him. "'Do not ever tell anyone I was here, do not tell anyone what my name is today. Oh and do as I tell you while I am in your presence today.'" I stopped and he nodded. I smiled at him. It'd worked. Of course it worked, I'm an Original. What am I doing here anyway? 'Checking on Tyler.' Was my answer. "Can I ask if Tyler is here?"

"Yes, he's in class right now." I smiled. Good kid.

"Thank you Mr. Koenig. I will be leaving now." I turned on my heel and left the school. I needed to go to the store. Because I was running out of food and I had to feed not only myself but also my hybrids. Even Tyler spent most of his time over here and when he asked of me I would help him with his homework. He was rather fond of me helping him with his history homework.

I stepped into the Walmart parking lot and my eyes fell on someone, a pretty girl. It looked like… was that Caroline? With Tyler? Elena? Stefan and Bonnie were there too. I looked away and shook my head. Stefan was 164 years old, he was responsible. Tyler was in school, Koenig told me that. Caroline was the daughter of the sheriff. She'd get in trouble for skipping school because it was against the law, and besides Caroline was pure, she was good. Elena and Bonnie it might be. Then again Elena liked being with Stefan. And Bonnie was also responsible.

I looked back and they were still who they looked to be. I know just the thing. I took out my cell and called Tyler… and was disappointed to see the boy stop and look at his phone. He looked to the sky in irritation before answering his phone. I vamped off, away from the hearing distance of Tyler's hybrid hearing.

"What do you want Klaus?"

"I wondered if you were free on Saturday?"

"Um, yeah. Sure."

"Are you in school right now? Because I could pick you up if your not and you could be with me right now." I offered, that would tell me… something about honesty. He hesitated, he actually hesitated. I smiled to myself. He was going to lie to my face. Metaphorically speaking anyway. I knew Tyler, I'd talked to him a lot. I knew when he was lying, I knew when he was being truthful. I knew when he was happy, I knew when he was sad. I liked my hybrid.

"Yeah, I'm in school. I'm in… History class right now. I gotta go or he'll take my phone and I'll have to pay $15 to get it back. Sorry Klaus. I'm free on Saturday, I promise. Bye." He hung up before I could get another word in. Oh Tyler. Tyler, Tyler, Tyler. Lying to me is never good. Now, let's go play pretend I didn't know he was at the store.

I walked back to the store and quickly found them in the store. I staid far enough behind they wouldn't notice me but close enough to watch their every move. They had the nerve to buy things, Tyler had the nerve to stuff things in his pockets. I wanted to laugh at his antics but I didn't. They'd know I was I there.

Eventually they decided to up and leave eventually. I had spent some time deactivating the security alarms but by now they'd be back on. Well this would be juicy if they did end up going off. I'd catch him red handed and then I'd have to 'deal' with his behaviour.

They paid for most of their stuff and then they began to leave. The alarms didn't go off. I beamed at my success, before remembering that they had security cameras and that he'd done that before I could dismantle them. I sighed in defeat. I'd have to do something about that. I texted Daniel to get the hybrids in the house down to Walmart and steal the security videos from today and take them home. I got a reply of 'OK.' I vamped in front of Tyler and his gang before they could actually leave. There was no one to watch me do that.

They all gasped in shock at the sight of me in front of them. I slowly smiled at them, before speaking. "Are you not supposed to be in school right now? I believe that you four shall all be in trouble by the end of the day. Except Bonnie, she has no relatives in this town."

"I excused them all from school today." Stefan lied, trying to save them.

"Wrong, Stefan. You did not. All of you skipped second period." They all acted guilty. Even Caroline. "I don't know why you are reacting the way you are. It is not like I am the one who is in charge of your punishments. Besides for you Tyler."

"You didn't say I had to be in school today or every day."

"No." I gave a little pause before continuing. "I do however refuse to have stupid hybrids around me. You four best be getting back to school. Tyler, you are coming with me." I grabbed his arm forcefully before leaving them immediately.

I arrived at the school, Tyler struggling all the while, and threw him through the front doors of the school. "Now Tyler, stay there like a good little boy. You need to pay attention in school, it helps your brain grow. I'll be seeing you on Saturday. For your first hybrid year birthday. Expect lots of presents this year." I left him at the with that and headed home, to get money for all his presents. I had to get him some for his birth as a hybrid, some for his first week as a hybrid, and then some for his three months as a hybrid. And then twice that for his actual birthday and 16 more since he was seventeen years old. To help him handle all the presents, I'd evenly distribute them amongst the days and get caught up with him this year.

Extra Chapter, still Season 3

I was with Stefan, we'd made up for our broken friendship now. I'd been given my family back. My siblings were at home with my mother. I refused to be in the house long if I had to see her face, which is brings us to why we're here.

It was actually lunch time and I was supposed to be at home. They'd complained to me, even Esther complained to me, about not being at the house and attending the meals like a family. I didn't need to say why. Was it not obvious that I hated Esther? The woman who calls herself my mother? I was fine with going to church with her, God knows she needs it. I was willing to try to be a family, just not at meal times.

I was with Stefan. He was also skipping meal times because of Damon and him had a fight. I was more than willing to present myself as his replacement. We had been brothers in the 1920s. So why not pick up where we left off?

That brings us to where we are and what we're doing now. We'd just fed and Stefan had lost something that Damon had given him a long time ago. It was now 1 PM and the antique shop was now open. I had taken him here as a present and now we were looking for things to take. I mean buy. Stefan picked up an old pocket watch and held it to my face. I snatched it from him and took a look while he continued to look for things himself.

"Is this what you have lost Stefan?"

"No, I've told you. I've lost the music box that Damon gave me. I can't find it and if it's not in my room by the end of today, then Damon will have my hide." I thought about what he might mean by that but I didn't know what could possibly be trying to come across.

"You mean to tell me that you have lost a stupid music box? Well then why do you not just get one and then replace the music with the music it is supposed to have? Or I could make it. I am very good at making things or making humans who are good at doing what they do make things for me."

"Klaus, that whole last part of your last sentence says you don't have a conscience."

"Well you do not have one either." I defended myself, keeping hold of the watch while I continued to look for things. I found something. It was a lamp. "Hey Rippah, come look at this thing." I showed him the lamp. The lamp was big and round in the middle, had a small pedestal, a lid that looked like the top of a wine bottle, and for the handle it looked like one of those ponytails that monks wear. The spout was like that of a regular tea pot.

"That is not a lamp, that is a tea pot. Tell me you don't believe in genies please."

"No but I bet I could get Damon to believe in them." I smiled at him and he scoffed before beginning to laugh. He continued to laugh as he continued looking for his music box. Stefan called me over the next minute.

"Hey, Nik! Come look at this thing!" I walked over, still with pocket watch in hand. It was a real genie lamp. Okay, no. Not a real one but it did look like the one in Aladdin. I smiled and took it. "Hey, I found it first."

"I am getting it for you, you idiot. So stop complaining." He smiled and picked up a small sterling silver ring and a gold one too. I gave him a silver, platinum, and a bronze one. He took them, delighted. "Now you have all types of medals. First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Fourth Place. The Platinum being first and Bronze fourth."

"I know how it works Klaus. Look they have ruby, emerald, diamond, and sapphire." I smiled and picked up a signet ring I had found while looking for the item Stefan had asked for.

"How about this?"

"I'd rather make my own signet ring Nik."

"Fine." I threw the ring and it hit something. I beamed as we ducked to not be spotted. We stood back up a moment later. "A music box, finally." I picked up the music box and smiled at Stefan who was still admiring the rings. "Come on, you can take those if you want but look at this." He looked at it and came over to me.

"Can I take this Viking snake ring I found too?"

"Yes. Just keep track."

"That is exactly what I was looking for. Does it play what it's supposed to?" He asked. The music box had panels you opened that spun around. The awesome thing about it though was that instead of pre-pictured, you put in your own pictures. Inside was a spinning moon that spun when the music played. On top was the same image on the bottom. That was a bunch of infants reading, writing, and playing with things. It had three feet it stood up with, that were dragon heads, and the tip top of it was a woman with long hair wearing a dress. I wanted one just like it for me. It had six openings which meant it could house pictures of all my siblings. Stefan wound up the thing that made it play music. He smiled as it obviously played what he wanted it to. It played "First Love by Utada Hikaru. Stefan smiled and took it from me before beaming. "Thank you Klaus. I'm ready to go now." I smiled at him before looking around. No one was watching so we stuffed the small things in our pockets and grabbed the big things. The music box and the lamp.

"What are you two doing?" asked Elijah's voice. I smirked as I looked over, making sure I wasn't hearing things. And sure enough, there was Elijah's body. "What. Are. You. Two. Doing?" He asked slower when we didn't answer.

"Buying the lamp and music box." I replied. Stefan just looked at him.

"And the rings and the watch?" I opened my mouth about to give my answer when Stefan answered instead.

"What are you talking about? If you want a ring or wa-"

"The ones you two put in your pockets."

"Buying." I answered. Stefan smiled at Elijah.

"Well then you won't mind if we pay together, since you two look ready to go. I looked at Stefan, not sure what to reply with. Elijah was in his 'I-know-you're-doing-something-wrong' mode. Stefan hesitated. I answered quickly, so as to not give us away.

"No, of course not. However you look like you have nothing on you brother so go away and leave us to our business please." That should get his attention. I was being nice, using my nice voice as Stefan called it, and I had said please.

To reply to what I had said, he lifted what was obviously what he was here to buy. A small portable type writer. Probably to teach Mother how to use today's technology. I beamed at him. "I have this to buy."

"Well my mistake. However, you'd might have to wait a while because we're still looking." Stefan answered. Elijah's eyes slitted at us. The truth was I'd not brought my wallet and Stefan didn't have the money for what he wanted, at least not all of it.

"I am willing to wait." That was a threat and a statement. I shoved Stefan to keep looking and Elijah followed us. I tried to find something that could possibly catch my interest but there was nothing. Elijah was behind me so I couldn't possibly ask Stefan audibly if people were on vervain, since they had a council who knew about it. So I texted him instead, from within my pocket.

'Stefan, are people on vervain? Shake head for no, nod for yes.' I had trouble sending it but I did eventually get it to him because he took out his phone, deleted the text and nodded. Elijah, I could feel get suspicious.

"Elijah, why don't you go on a head? We have lots of things left to look- ow?" I looked away to find that he'd smacked Stefan. I coughed a laugh, and looked back before my smile showed on my face however my smile was too big to hide anyway.

"Something funny Niklaus? Do you plan on paying or not? You two are obviously lying and are not looking for anything more. Either pay for it or leave it. I am tired of paying for things you just take Niklaus." I laughed at that. Yes, in the past I would either take, compel, or buy things and when I chose not to buy the items, Elijah would end up paying for it instead. Sure I had the money but I just liked flaunting my power in the faces of others.

"How about an IOU? What is that? An I will pay you back later thing?"

"Very well then, I will pay for your things."

"Great." Stefan smiled. "Thanks."

"You are still both in trouble. You lied to me and you were going to steal something deliberately." I laughed at him.

"Nice try Elijah. I know you are joking. Us? In trouble?" I smiled at Stefan but the next moment it disappeared as Elijah dared to smack me. I glared at him.

"You two will go to my car and wait." How does he know we walked here? "My car is unlocked. Sit inside and wait."

"Why should we?" I felt three more smacks before I looked at my feet. "Fine, but this is not over Elijah." I growled, looking into his face. He took our things from us. I could still save Stefan, I needed to compel him to forget this bit. Elijah doesn't even have the right to punish us. I led Stefan to the car as Elijah paid and we both sat in the back.

"Damn it! What am I going to do? Damon can't find out about this."

"Well what is the worst thing Damon could do?" I asked.

"The worst? He could get in my head and do terrible things. What he's most likely going to do? S- me." He flushed before he could finish the word. "I won't be able to sit or think comfortably in class that's for sure." I laughed at him.

"You are still going to school? I thought that when I got here that it would end. You no longer love me Stefan?" I asked, pretending to be hurt. He stared at me, dumbstruck.

"How can you be calm? That was your older brother."

"Of which I have two."

"Oh yeah. Finn." He finally got of his 'oh my gosh Damon's going to kill me' vibe. I smiled at my success.

"Look after he is done doing who knows what to you, I could take you out feeding. I could take you to a night club if you desired."

"Hell no! Damon'd be even more pissed if I drank blood to- I'd be in even more trouble than I am now."

"There is a very big 'if' there mate."

"There is no 'if'. That was Elijah, not you. You can't compel him. Can you?"

"No. But I can compel Damon." I beamed at him after saying that and Stefan began to grow a smile at that.

"You know, having an Original as a friend can come in very handy. I love you Klaus. Yes, please do that." I shushed him as Elijah got near us with our things and his in a bag.

"Love you too Stefan." Was my only answer.

"What were you two talking about that you didn't want me to hear?"

"A surprise birthday party." I joked. He gave me one of those stern glares he used to give me.

"Why were you two even planning on shoplifting in the first place?" He asked.

"Elijah, for one thing, it is not called shoplifting. It is called taking what I want. Why can I do that? Because I am sup-"

"If you are going to end that sentence with 'superior', then I suggest you don't Niklaus."

"Fine then, I can do it because I am an Original and if they try to stop me then I can-"

"Don't finish that sentence either. I know where you are trying to take this conversation Niklaus. We've had it many times before." I rolled my eyes, sighing at him before I smirked at Stefan. "Stefan, I hope you have a better answer?"

"Because I lost the one that Damon had given me and I found the one that he'd given me. An exact replica anyway."

"You will tell Damon that as well as your lying and your trying to steal something."

"What? Please don't Elijah. He'll kill me!"

"I'm sure he won't. He has stopped the attacks on your life before, I know that for a fact because my brother here did in fact once try to kill you."

"Hey! I was angry. I have no responsibility for that." I defended weakly.

"You have responsibility for all your actions Niklaus. Everyone has responsibility for their own actions."

"Well what will happen to me?" I asked. "If anything at all?"

"You shall be punished, don't worry Niklaus." We stopped and I looked outside to see my house.

"Please don't leave me here with Damon." I snickered at his plea. I never thought Stefan would say something like that.

"We are not at your house. Damon is not home. I do not believe I could trust you not to run if left alone. You may get out of the car." Stefan looked outside, confused. He looked relieved. I got out and dragged Stefan with me.

"Oh. My bad then." I rolled my eyes at hearing something Tyler says come out of Stefan's mouth. Obviously they must be friends and they hang out together. Today was Saturday. The council were having a meeting or something and I hadn't gone with this time. I had to attend to Stefan first.

"Now go sit inside." We obeyed, but first I tried to take our things but Elijah vamped between me and the passenger door. "You are not allowed to touch those until you have been punished Niklaus. Which will happen shortly."

"I am still not attending meals." SMACK!

"I said get inside." I growled but obeyed and sat by Stefan as we awaited what was to happen to us.

The End?
