A/N: So, it's been what? A year? Yeah, I'm sorry guys! I hope you can forgive me and accept this short chapter, I've had a lot going on in my life. Enjoy!

PS: Please no flames, but CC is welcome! Also, I did not have a Beta reader for this and chances are I won't from now on.

Disclaimer: None of the characters are mine, but the plot is.

Jules smiled as Sadie ran up the stairs ahead of her, occasionally stumbling and falling forward before picking herself up and continuing on without a pause. The dogs followed after her, keeping as much a watchful eye on her as Jules had been.

Suddenly there was a loud crashing noise and the building began to teeter and sway, Sadie ran back to her mother fear in her eyes. The dogs seemed to crush there bodies against Jules, in protection or fear Jules wasn't sure, but Jules appreciated it either way. It was clear to Jules that the force had been further up on the building and while they may be trapped inside the building, it wasn't going to collapse in on them.

"It's okay, baby.." Jules whispered in a soothing tone, but nothing she said seemed to calm the hysteria that Sadie was in. Knowing that Sam was most likely still at the first floor she picked Sadie up and started heading down the stairs, the dogs followed. The cheerful dispositions of the group were dampened, and replaced by a sense that this was only the beginning of a very long day...

Sam and Ben were waiting for them in the lobby when they got down there, the lobby was abuzz with people running every which way in terror, trying to locate there family members was a challenge in the chaos, and for Jules and Sam to reach other through the mass of people was also a challenge, especially when they had been seen on television multiple times, and were immediately recognized as members of the SRU, and therefore it was assumed they had arrived to help, not that they were in the same boat as everyone else in the building.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed and I promise the next chapter will be longer! I have a really hard time writing from Jules P.O.V. Feel free to leave a review!
