A/N: I got a request from Goo6 for the Eagles' "Hotel California", saying it'd fit Super Mario Sunshine – I'm guessing because of Hotel Delfino, which certainly came to my mind too, but then I started thinking about the haunted aspect and my mind drifted to the other GameCube platformer, Luigi's Mansion... Plus, I realized I haven't really had any Luigi-centric songs yet, and the poor guy deserves his due! It's not quite what was asked for, but hopefully everyone will like it just the same!
Hotel Haunted Mansion
In a dark, gloomy forest; no wind in my hair
Dank smell of swamp water rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a flickering light
My feet grew heavy and my sight grew dim
Wanted to flee through the night
Strange old man in the doorway
I heard a warning bell
And I was thinking to myself,
"This is no mansion, I'm entering hell."
E. Gadd gave me a vacuum and he showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say…
Welcome to Luigi's haunted mansion
Such a lovely place (Such a creepy place)
Such a scaredy-face
Plenty of rooms in Luigi's haunted mansion
We can feel your fear (Every kind of fear)
But you know he's here
Her mind if prophesy-twisted, she got the crystal ball hands
She got a lot of pretty, pretty lies she calls ends
Boos floating in the courtyard; cold, clammy sweat
Some ghosts to remember, some ghosts to forget
So I called the Professor, "Help me save my bro."
He said, "I haven't seen that spirit here: say goodbye to Mario."
And still those voices are calling from far away
Suck them up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say…
Welcome to Luigi's haunted mansion
Such a lovely place (Such a scary place)
Such a frightened face
They're laughin' it up at Luigi's haunted mansion
Undead decadence (Ghostly sentiments)
Wield your elements
Paintings all around me
Fire, water and ice
King Boo said, "You are my prisoner here, of my own device."
And on the moonlit rooftop, they gathered for their host
I blast him with my Poltergust
But I just can't kill the ghost
Last thing I remember, I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back through the woods I crossed before
"Relax," said the dead king
"I'm not inclined to deceive:
You can lose heart any time you like,
But you can never leave!"
