So I am back and I apologize about my random updates. I want to give a big thank you to my new beta cherryblossom. I posted the wrong one sorry guys here is the correct version that was suppose to go up.
The view looked different than it had the last time he was here. Though that had been many years ago so it was not all that surprising that the village had changed and grown. It made him wonder if his home could change so much then how much had his friends changed. Many questions came to mind as he was walking the last little bit to the Eastern gate. Questions like had they gotten stronger? Did they hate him for leaving? Did his three most important still have him in their own list of important people. Just as he went over the crest he had to stop when he saw that a group of people stood just outside the gate as if waiting for someone's return. With a sigh he returned to his walking so to stop delaying when he would walk into his home and be more then arrested for treason and shown that his friends no longer wanted anything to with him after all that he has put them through.
He could of sworn that he saw a blob of pink floating around the group and seemed to be stopping here and there to talk to people. His heart suddenly hurt as he was reminded on how he had hurt his heart all those years ago. She had always tried her hardest to be the one at his side and now she wasn't there anymore.
His feet slowed down as he felt the now familiar wetness flow down his cheeks. In the last few weeks all the feelings that he had suppressed after the death of his family...no after what they had planned to do to the village that they had no right to be called his family. Now all they were was a distant memory of unknowingly living with traitors. No now he would no longer use the name Uchia and that family would die out and the sharigan would be moved to a new family. He reached up and wiped away the stream of tears that had fallen down his face with the back of his hand.
He was now close enough to start telling more about the people who were standing outside the gates all talking and goofing around with each other none of them were looking and he was very grateful for that as none of got to see the shocked expression on his face as he recognized all of his friends and even other teams that he had worked with before when he had followed the path of a traitor and giving everyone more reason for his family to hat him. He steeled his face into his old smirk and continued his walk with those entire prideful stride that used to be his normal walk all those years ago.
She could not believe this. It was almost time and two of the most important people were not there. Hinata she expected to be late as she was the official heiress to her clan now and was almost always busy with different meetings and refusing all these proposes that she was now receiving on a daily basis now. The other person really doesn't have much of an excuse unless the hokage
She called for him to come and see her as soon as possible. Oh how Naruto would enjoy making her eat those words later. She was talking to shino about the possible use of the pheromones that his clan's bugs produce in some low level immune boosters when all the small and different conversations just died down till no one was talking at all. She felt the hairs on the back of her hair stand up all those years ago and then she did not need to turn around to know that he was behind her. She could feel it. It was even more powerful then when she first felt his love for her when he ran away from the village. She moved as if in slow motion and there he was, just like she knew he would be.
Time seemed to stand still as the two just stared at each other not really saying as word. Just enjoying that for the first time in years they were standing face to face and not in a battle that could change the world. Slowly they stepped towards each other and now that there was less than three inched between them she could see all the emotions in his face. The tightness of his jaw line from trying to be a noble person. The minor twitch that he got when something was annoying him. But more importantly she could see the love, desire, fear, and shame in his eyes. Her hand reached up and cupped the side of his jaw almost like she thought that he was not real and this was just another one of the dreams that had been becoming more and more frequent as the date of his return drew closer and closer.
Unlike in her dreams though she didn't start to feel the tears on her cheek and then woke up from where ever she had fallen asleep the night before. This time though he stiffened as she reached up her hand lightly carried his jaw line to see if he was real.
He was scared on how she would react. Even in the remote regions he had found himself living in had heard of not just how prominent she was in medic jutsu or her super strength but also her temper that matched both. She had been scary when they were younger but now that she had the strength to back up her threats only made her that much more frightening. He never wanted her mad at him but he knew that she had every right to be after what she put the entire village through. He was sure that he was about to be punched half way to Suna and he knew that he deserved it. He kept his eyes on hers and tried to convey all of the emotions that he had ever felt for her over all the years that he had known her. He stiffened when he felt her hand softly on his face. He was sure that she was about to make a fist with her hand and punch him with all of her chakra endurance strength. He leaned into his touch, the touch that he had craved for so long now. He reached up with his hand and cupped her cheek as softly as she held onto his face. He leaned forward and rested his forehead against hers.
