I don't know how this chapter is, as I was bored and I'm still sick.
Chapter 7: S.S.Ann and Pokemon Island.
"Braviary wrap it up with Brave Bird!" Naruto ordered his newly evolved Valiant Pokemon, but he was not the only one with a new evolution.
"Alakazam finish with Psychic!" Ayumi called out to her Pokemon.
Both Pokemon did as ordered and struck down a Vileplume and Machamp respectively, with many a trainer watching in awe of how well the two young trainers were battling. The two foreign trainers have been taking and excepting challenges since, almost, the entire time, since they boarded the S.S Anne that morning.
After the foreign duo returned to the Poke'Center after their victories at the Vermilion City Gym, Nurse Joy, after excepting their Lopunny and Nidoking for treatment, they were given tickets for a all-expense paid cruise a board the S.S Anne for their achievement from Lt. Surge himself.
The duo hand, periodically, swapped out their Pokemon with the on board pc, after discovering that the constant movement of the ship interfered with their Pokemon Global Transporters, and were able to get their Pokemon a vast amount of experience.
Returning their respective Pokemon both walked towards each other, with Naruto stretching, being mindful of Lilynette on his shoulder, while yawning says, "Well as fun as this has been, I'm ready for a break. Wanna look around a bit and then grab some lunch?" Ending with another yawn.
"Yeah that sounds good and lunch sounds great." Ayumi said while stretching a bit herself. And with that they took a look around at the vendors a board. As they were walking around something caught Naruto's eye.
"Ayumi over there! Come on this is a great find!" Naruto said as he, surprisingly, rushed over to a vendor selling Pokemon she wasn't familiar with.
The fist one she saw was a small, birdlike Pokémon that is primarily dark blue, including its wings, tail, back and part of its head. The lower part of its body and chest is yellow and has a black part that begins from under its wings to its face, from which feathers protrude over its head, giving it a mask-like appearance. It has red eyes and small gray feet and legs.
The second was a small, fuchsia Pokémon with a large head, small body, and wiry limbs. Its hands have three fingers each while its feet don't have digits. Its face has a purple "mask", prominent pointed ears, large eyes with small pupils, a long nose with a single nostril, and a fanged mouth. It usually has its purple tongue sticking out. The back of its head sports a tuft of hair that resembles a bat wing. It and its evolved forms are male-only species.
The third one was a small Pokémon with a round pink body and a pair of small feet. Most of its body is covered by a blue wig-like feature with a pink, hat-like protrusion on top. This protrusion is decorated with a white spot and has a blue bulbous growth on its tip. The flaps on the side of its head appear to be able to function like limbs.
And the fourth and final one was a small, quadrupedal, purple, lizard-like baby Pokémon. It has a lightning bolt-like protrusion on its forehead, along with four conical spikes surrounding its head. It has violet eyes with black pupils and white sclerae. Its cheeks are marked with a very pale lavender, almost white, spot on each side.
"Wow, what Pokemon are these?" Ayumi asked in wonderment.
Naruto was somewhat confused as to how she didn't know, with the fact she didn't question what Cinderace was when she hatched. "Well like my Cinderace, these are from the Galar Region. The small bird is a Rookidee a pure Flying type, the small imp is Impidimp a Dark/Fairy type, the one that looks like a hat is a Hatenne a Psychic type and the purple lizard like baby Pokemon is a Toxel a Poison/Electric type. These are a rare find this far away from the Galar Region. Also how do you not know? You didn't question me about Cinderace when she was a hatchling."
"Oh that, I had just started studying on the Pokemon from the Galar Region, but I wasn't able to get that far before my ship docked at Cinnabar Island." She admitted with a shrug. "And to be honest, with the schedule we have for traveling and training, it really hasn't left a lot of time for studying."
"We'll need to fix that later. Anyways I think we should take advantage of this opportunity, as I don't know when or if we'll have this type of opportunity again until we reach Galar that is." Naruto suggested.
"I agree whole heartily." Ayumi agreed with a large smile, excited for this type of chance. "Excuse us miss, how much do they cost?"
"The Rookidee are 200, the Hatenne and Impidimp are 500 and these two Toxel are 2,500." The lady running the booth said with a smile.
As they both looked over the Rookidee Naruto caught movement at the back of the cage. It was a Rookidee, but it was 4x the size as the others and it had a different color palette. Where there was blue it had a cream color, the yellow was white and the black mask was a grayish black. How he or Ayumi missed it was beyond him, especially when the other Rookidee were trying to stay away from it. "Ah miss what about that one?" Naruto lazily asked, while pointing at it.
Looking at it she said, "That one would be 5,000 I'm afraid, as you know shinies are hard to come by."
"Far enough, I suppose. I'll take it and these three. Do you mind if I use my own Poke'Balls?" Naruto asked.
"That will be 8,500 Poke'Dollers and you're more than welcome to dearie."
And with that and Ayumi picking hers out they went on looking around more. "I can't believe the luck we just had. The only way this could get better is if someone was selling a Di-!" Whatever Ayumi was about was cut when her eyes landed on a, "Ditto!" She exclaimed as she took off for it.
As she made her return, "You got really excited over a Ditto. Why for?" Naruto questioned.
"Simple a Ditto is a breeder's dream with its Transform move."
"You're training to become a Breeder?" Naruto asked with a raised brow.
Ayumi just stared at him for a bit before her eyes widened, "I can't believe this entire time we've traveled together, we never told each other our goals. But yes I'm training to be a Pokemon Breeder. What about you?"
"My goal is to find a goal." Naruto simply said, but had to elaborate when he saw her give a confused look, "The truth is, I'm not sure what I want to be. Gym Challenges are my only calling so far. While I could be a Coordinator like my mom, they don't appeal to me a whole lot, sure I incorporate ideas into my strategies, but that's about it. I'm not sure about being a Champion either, for the moment"
"Wow, well hopefully you can find you dream while we travel. I'll help you in anyway I can." Ayumi said with a smile.
Naruto blinked a bit as he stared her, before he gave a sincere smile, "Thanks. It's most appropriated."
After their little moment, they continued to look around a little bit longer when some sleazy looking man had called them over to his booth, which was a large fishtank, which contained multiple Feebas in it and he was charging 500 Poke'Dollers for. Deciding to get one, or a pair in Ayumi's case, and, of course, Naruto found a shiny one, he would have to gone onto another rant about the impossibility of this happening, if Ayumi didn't glare at him shutting him up.
After they were done looking they went to the buffet to get some lunch and as they were looking for a table, they just so happened to cross a familiar group of trainers.
"Ash, Brock, Misty? Surprising to see you three here." Naruto lazily greeted them with a nod. "Mind if we all share a table?"
"Naruto! Ayumi! It's good to see you guys again!" It was Ash that greeted them, happy to see his old friend again, "Sure there's plenty of room." He finished with answering Naruto's question.
"So how's that Charmander of yours doing?" Ayumi asked as she began to eat.
"Good. He's already caught up with the others in terms of levels and power wise, when or if he decides to evolve, he'll must likely be my strongest Pokemon." Ash replied with a smile. "Speaking of Pokemon, how many have you guys caught so far?"
Looking at one another before shrugging, not seeing a problem telling, "I currently have 17 Pokemon I can all trust." Ayumi said before returning her attention back to her food.
"And I currently have 47, albeit three are Lycanroc, but are different forms so I count them as separate Pokemon." Naruto said with a bit of pride in his voice, only to sweat drop as Ash seemed to go into a deep depression. "Was it something we said?"
It was Misty who answered, "Well Ash has only caught 7 so far and Gary has caught 40." She said, surprising the two, as she went on to explain that Ash just recently caught a Krabby and the one Gary had was 3x bigger.
"Hmm, despite how arrogant he is, he has good knowledge of Pokemon with his Pokemom's impressive growth." Ayumi said remembering the one time she met him and how he acted.
"I'm more surprised about how little Pokemon you've caught so far. What's up with that?" Naruto couldn't help but ask, since Ash wants to be a Pokemon Master, you'd need to catch allot of Pokemon to do so.
Laughing sheepishly, "Well I've kinda been more focused on training the ones I've already caught so far." Ash explained his reasoning, only to start fidgeting when both Ayumi and Naruto gave him a blank look.
Sighing Naruto went on to explain, "Ash, to be a Pokemon Master, one of the requirements is to catch and train a multitude of Pokemon to their absolute best they can be."
Ash just sank further into himself, "Yeah I know, but it kinda feels like I'd abounding them, if I started training other Pokemon."
"Ash if you haven't noticed, but Ayumi and I do rotation training. Between Poke'Centers we train who ever is next and swap them for the next set. The only two Pokemon I keep on me at all times is Lilynette and Kurama. And only a select few have yet to evolve either they're not ready or, in my Alolan Meowth case, don't want to evolve." Naruto explained while patting Ash on the back, "And if it helps, three of my Pokemon can only evolve due to the level of friendship they have with me and all three have evolved."
After that was said Naruto and Ayumi finished their food a bid a fair well to Ash and his group. "Hopefully he takes what I said to heart and takes this more seriously, than he already does." Naruto said with Ayumi nodded in agreement.
"I'm sure he will, he has potential to be a great trainer." She says reassuringly.
Hours later
Chaos had broken out on board the S.S Anne as everyone was battling against Team Rocket until it was announced the ship was sinking. Naruto and Ayumi would've left awhile ago, had they not seen Ash and his friends along with those two Team Rocket members that like following them around, each chasing after Poke'Balls while getting further and further away from the exits.
Looking at each other Naruto gave a frustrated sigh, "I'll go after Team Rocket and you go with Ash and his friends."
"Alright, but be careful." Ayumi said as she took off after Ash.
"I'm always careful." Naruto muttered as he made way towards Team Rocket who just grabbed ahold of the Poke'Ball as he felt the ship jerk, "Just great the ship is starting to capsize. Hold on tight Lilynette, Kurama this is about to get rough."
'Right daddy/kit!' cried out both Lilynette and Kurama just as the ship flipped over sending everyone crashing down on the ceiling turned floor of the ship, minus Naruto and his two trusted Pokemon as they all used Psychic to stay afloat.
"That was close." He sighed, "I hope Ayumi is okay." He ended with a worried tone.
"I'm sure she's fine kit. Not only are her Pokemon strong, she is just as strong" Kurama said, surprising Naruto a bit at his words.
'He's right daddy, all our friends are strong, so there's no need to worry!' Lilynette chimed in.
"Yeah I'm sure she fine. Thanks guys." Naruto said.
Meanwhile
While Ayumi was okay, she was both sweat dropping as she stared up at Ash in awe, as he was laying on a couch in an upturned room.
Back with Naruto
See as he was closer to Meowth, Naruto decided on waking it up first. Moving over towards it he knelt down and started gently shaking it, "Hey you need to get up."
"Nrgh... Five more minutes boss." He, based on its voice, mumbled out curling up to redhead.
Despite the understanding of wanting to sleep more, Naruto kept shaking him till Meowth's eyes opened. Soon as his eyes landed on Naruto, his eyes widened, but Naruto ignored it in favor of making sure the Scratch Cat Pokemon was alright. "Good you seem in perfect health, from what I can see anyways."
"Who're you?"
"Name's Naruto and I'm gonna be helping you three get out of a capsized ship, before it fills and we all drowned." Naruto answered nonchalantly.
Paling a bit at the thought he asked, "How are we gonna get out of here?"
"First we need to wake those two up." He stated as he lazily looked on as the two Rocket members sleep under a burning stove and seemed to be having a good dream.
As Meowth followed his gaze he could only sweat drop, "Those two are hopeless with me." He said as Jessie and James bolted up with their hair on fire.
"This is the first time I've formally met you three and I have to agree with you on that." Naruto responded with slight amusement in his lazed voice, as he watched the two run back and forth.
After the two put out their respective fires, they took notice of the red in white trainer, "Hey you're that twerp from that Charmander incident!" The female Rocket spoke up, looking like she was getting ready to fight.
"Yup that's me and I wouldn't try anything as we are currently far below the Sea in a sunken capsized ship." He calmly spoke not at all afraid of them. After hearing this the two started panicking, causing Meowth to use Furry Swipes on them. 'Surely Ayumi is having an easier time than me.'
"Ekans use Acid!"
"... I should just take Meowth and let you two drowned."
Back with Ayumi
After Ash had fallen from the couch and calmed down from his shock, "Hey Ayumi, was Naruto?" He asked worried about his friend.
"He's somewhere in here, but don't worry I'm sure he's fine." Whether she was easing his worries or her's was unknown. Currently they were following Misty who has a map of the ship, but refused to explain how she had one, till they came to a point where the ship had already filled with water.
"I'll have Goldeen check things out." The water type specialist said as she sent out her Pokemon.
Back with Naruto
Right now Naruto and, a still secretly hidden Lilynette and Kurama, were using Psychic to make a dome of air around him and the three Rocket members as they made their way down a flooded hallway.
"Incredible!" James said in awe at what Naruto was doing, "I knew that some people had psychic powers, but I've never heard of one that could use it to this degree."
"Thank you for the compliment, and the only other person I know of that might be able to do this would be Sabrina the Saffron City Gym Leader." Naruto said, leaving out that Lilynette and Kurama was making doing this far more easier, as he did not want these two idiots following him around like they do with Ash.
Soon they saw a shadowy figure approaching them, freaking out Team Rocket, till it got close enough to see it was a Goldeen who also started freaking out. Whether from what he and his Pokemon were doing or the fact Team Rocket was there was up in the air
'Calm yourself. I take it you're Misty's pokemon.' the psychic redhead stated mentally.
Shocked by the voice, but responded none the less, 'Yes that is correct. She wanted me to see if these away out this way.'
'if there was, these two imbeciles destroyed it. It's best you lead us back to the others, we don't have much air left.' was the return response. Seeing the fish nod they started back onward.
Ayumi and the Others
"Goldeen sure is taking awhile." Ash said with a worried tone, getting nods of agreement from the others. They didn't have to wait for much longer as the seemed to bubble and soon parted as the form of Naruto and Team Rocket emerge out of the water bone dry.
Naruto soon made his way over towards Ayumi, as everyone else was in a standoff. Soon Pokemon were called forth and starting rock the ship, Naruto had himself and Ayumi in the air with his powers, till Misty ordered everyone to recall their Pokemon.
"You know it's foolish to fight in a sunken ship, right?" Naruto lazily asked.
"He's right. Anything you do could end up filling the ship up faster. The sooner we all get out of here the better." Ayumi adding her two cents.
"They're right. So for now everyone join in a truce and shake hands with each other!" Misty demanded. Naruto and Ayumi easily did so with everyone, but the others did so grudgingly.
The red and silver duo watched as Meowth and Pikachu shook paws, with the Mouse Pokemon smirking when, 'Don't even think it.' Pikachu stiffened at the voice in his head and looked towards the redhead and shuddered at the hollowed eyes looking at him. Pikachu quickly shook paws and let go of Meowth.
Looking at Misty, "Where are we going?" Naruto inquired.
"We're going up to the bottom of the ship and cut a hole in the hull." Misty said with everyone agreeing with Brock pointing out a staircase.
Naruto seeing this suggested, "Ayumi can you bring out Alak-" he cut himself off as he saw Brock grab one of his Pokemon and hearing the name Onix, made him quick to freeze him in place. Everyone just stared at Brock wondering why he was frozen mid throw. "Did you forget that you all nearly sent the ship further underwater when you all decide to fight not, but five minutes ago and now you were about to send out an ONIX!"
Brock was shaking like a leaf, he really didn't think his idea through, everyone else turned towards Naruto to see his eyes glowing and realized he was the one to stop Brock.
Misty grew angry that he stopped the only way to access the staircase, "Well how else are we supposed to get up there!" Apparently she forgot what happened to her the last time she spoke to him in such away. She quickly got her answer and remembered what happened the last time, as she was picked-up and thrown up there.
"Now as I was trying to ask earlier, Ayumi can you bring out Alakazam so he can help me and others get us through this." Asked a slightly calmer Naruto.
"Y-yeah no worries Naruto." Ayumi answered with a stutter. "Alakazam!" She said as she brought out said Pokemon.
With the help of the Psi Pokemon everyone else was gently lifted into the air and up the staircase. As they made their way to the corridor it became too dark to see.
"I got this, Charmander light the way!" Ash called out to the Lizard Pokemon. With the fire Pokemon leading the way they soon made it to the end of the corridor to find a room with a firey pit and the only exit across from them with no physical way to cross.
"Before you freak out, myself, Alakazam, Lilynette and Kurama can get us all across." Naruto said before anyone could panic or what not.
The latter two still kept hidden, but could easily handle using Psychic to carry everyone over.
"Alright we'll need to be fast about this. Ash have Charmander weld a hole through the hull and everyone bring out your water Pokemon and we'll swim out of here." Misty ordered and almost everyone did as told except.
"Hey what about us!" Jessie yelled out as they don't have any water types.
"Relax I'll help you out with my Empoleon." Ayumi said as she brought said Pokemon and her Floatzel, while Naruto brought out his newly evolved Primarina.
As the water started gushing in, Misty handed everyone some rope, with Naruto and Ayumi helping Jessie James and Meowth. "Hey" the female Rocket spoke "Thanks for helping us"
Naruto lazily glanced at her before responding, "No worries." Getting them to feel sweat dropping down the back of their heads, at his tone of voice in this type of situation.
Soon everyone had escaped the sunken S.S Anne and now all found themselves on a makeshift raft. Ash and Naruto sent out the Pidgeotto and Braviary to try and find dry land almost as soon as they made it to the raft. Soon enough Pidgeotto was the first back and not long after Braviary was back and neither found land.
Before long Ash's group started complaining about being hungry.
"Will you all relax. Ayumi and me have more than enough food to share with everyone." Naruto said as he and Ayumi brought out sandwiches and Pokemon food. "Trust us when I say we have enough for a week, should it be that long."
Unfortunately this meant Lilynette and Kurama had to be exposed, but it seemed Team Rocket was more focused on the food to care. As they were eating, Naruto felt someone tugging on his shirt and it turned out to be Kurama, who was pointing at his backpack. Turning his attention to it he saw a light glowing from and as quick as he could, Naruto dug through his bag and pulled out the Pokemon Egg he got from Steven.
Just as he took it out of the incubator it hatched to reveal a robotic lik Pokémon that has a long silver body with a set of claws sticking out of its rear end. It has one large, red eye in the center of its nearly spherical head, which is set into a ball-and-socket joint at its front end. A short crest projects from its body and extends over its head.
"Wow what Pokemon is that?" Ash asked and mentally kicking himself for not studying any foreign Pokemon.
"This is a Beldum and a shiny one at that! Congratulations Naruto! I'm gonna have to have a talk with my cousin about why I didn't get one." Ayumi exclaimed, before muttering the last part to herself.
Naruto meanwhile was looking at Beldum for a bit before saying, "Welcome to the family, you're gonna fit in great with us." Beldum just stared at him, before eye smiling and using Take Down to nuzzle him, only to send him flying into the water.
Before anyone could check on him, Naruto broke through the water and pulled himself back onto the raft and started laughing. "Only just hatched and already you're that strong. Have fun with uncle Obito and as soon as I can I'll pick you up." He said as he tapped it with a Luxury Ball and caught it without a struggle.
James looked on enviously, pulling a golden Poke'Ball out, "You get a great Pokemon out of this and I get stuck with a Magikarp all because I was swindled!"
"That's not true, necessarily." Naruto spoke up, getting a confused look from the Violet haired Rocket. "While a Magikarp that's not trained isn't all that much, but one can be quite strong and with its evolution Gyarados a fierce and powerful Pokemon, I'd say you got a Pokemon with allot of potential. If you can handle it that is. There's many a story of trainers losing their lives because they couldn't."
James had been smiling up and till the end before paling quite a bit. "So what should I do?"
"That's for you to decide. But if you decide to go through with it, build a bond with Magikarp a strong one, before evolving it."
Just then a wild Magikarp popped up and started glowing, before reveling a Gyarados. It gave a roar, before several others appeared and unleashed a combine Dragon Rage attack. Misty tried having her Pokemon out run it but it was all for naught as it struck their raft and sent them all flying. Ash's group plus Ayumi went in one direction and Naruto with Team Rocket in another.
It was a good while before Naruto came to and when he did he found Ayumi, Lilynette and Kurama were missing. He ignored Team Rocket being pinched awake by a Krabby.
"Meowth is missing!" They both yelled then realized their Ekans and Koffing were missing as well. "Look a phone booth, maybe we can call the boss for help!"
Naruto watched as they tried only to fail and to start pulling the cable connected to the phone booth and inching along. Shaking his head Naruto called out Braviary and took to the skies to find his friends.
Meanwhile
Ayumi had just regained consciousness and found herself on a beach along with Ash and his friends. She goes to wake the other up, when she notices Naruto was missing and she didn't see Pikachu either. With that thought in mind she frantically checks herself over and is relieved to find none of her Pokemon are missing.
After waking Ash up, he discovered that not only was Pikachu missing, but so we're his Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander.
Another location
Lilynette and Kurama had found themselves on a beach, along with Pikachu and three discarded Poke'Balls. Pikachu picked up the scents of his friends and released them from their respective Poke'Balls.
After checking to see if everyone was ok, "So any ideas as to finding the kit and the others?" Kurama questioned.
'I'm sure daddy will have Braviary looking for us, so we should keep an eye on the skys' Lilynette said.
'Unless they got eaten by a wild Pokemon!' Squirtle joked, only to get hit upside the head by an angry Lilynette.
'That's not funny!' she exclaimed.
'Yeah dude cute it out.' Charmander said with narrowed eyes.
'Sorry' Squirtle apologized.
'Maybe Ash and your trainer forgot about us' Bulbasaur said looking away.
'Ash wouldn't do that!' Pikachu and Charmander shouted.
'Daddy wouldn't either! He'll most likely won't rest till he finds us!' Lilynette shouted even angrier than before.
Kurama just stared at Bulbasaur and saw that the words didn't effect him at all. "Hmm no wonder you're weak." He calmly said.
Bulbasaur's eyes snapped towards him, 'What was that fox!' he angrily replied.
"I said no wonder you're weak." Kurama repeated, "What do my words offend you? Telling the truth usually does do that. You lack of faith in your trainer shows it."
'How about I show you who's weak when I kick your ass!' he replied while pawing at the ground.
"You wouldn't last five seconds." Was Kurama's calm reply.
Bulbasaur was about to charge him but was held back, by Ash's other Pokemon, so all he could do was glare at the smirking fox.
Back with Naruto
Currently he and Braviary were dodging Thunderbolts from a freaking Zapdos. 'There's no way this is a real Zapdos! A legendary Pokemon wouldn't be seen so easily!' Naruto frantically thought. He and Braviary had pulled an all nighter looking everyone and had no luck so far. Looking ahead he saw a giant Charizard using a Flamethrower at something. And to his right he saw a giant Kabutops chasing a railcar with two people in it.
Taking a chance, he flew towards the Charizard and saw his friends. Not much could be done at the time, as Zapdos made its presence known once more, by shooting more Thunderbolts at them.
'Braviary I need you to gain as much altitude as possible and get behind it and use Brave Bird. Don't worry about me I'll be fine.' hesitantly he obeyed the order and was able to quickly get behind the Zapdos and used Brave Bird and tore through it showing it was made metal.
'Are you alright master?' Braviary asked as he flew towards the railcar that now held all his master's friends.
'Yes I'm fine and stop calling me master.' Naruto thought back telepathically with a scowl on his face. His eyes widened at the loop the railcar was heading towards, 'We need to pickup the speed, and catch Lilynette, Kurama and Ayumi has they fly into the air.'
'Of course master' he replied back, before he picked-up speed and caught up to them as they made the loop and were sent flying into the air and Ayumi, Lilynette and Kurama were all caught by Naruto and Braviary. Naruto had grabbed ahold of Ayumi by her arm, while Lilynette and Kurama was gently grabbed by Braviary talons.
"Naruto! You're alright!" Exclaimed a happy Ayumi.
'Daddy! I knew you'd find us!' Lilynette cried out.
"You're late!" Was all Kurama had to say.
"Sorry it took so long, but now let's get out here." Naruto said directing Braviary in the direction of one of his parents villa's, as he really needed a vacation from this vacation.
