Chapter 22

Leo did not appreciate his father's attention being on a piece of paper instead of him. He huffed and tugged on Deeks' pant leg, grabbing the man's attention. "Daddy, let's go back!" The little boy whined, effectively dragging the man from his thoughts.

"Yea, no, sorry 'bout that, Buddy. Yea, let's go back inside." Deeks nodded, rubbing a hand over his jaw as he shut the door.

"Daddy, is Kens still gon' stay wiff me?" Leo inquired as they walked back into OSP.

Deeks frowned and ruffled the little boy's hair. "Well... no. See, Kensi's gonna go back to her house. She's been away from it for a long time so I'm sure she's ready to stay in her own place again." He explained.

As much as Deeks hated to say it, he assumed it'd be true. He couldn't lie and say he didn't like Kensi staying at his apartment; there were little traces of her scattered all around. Her clothes littered on the floor, her snacks, her stupid reality shows taped on his DVR –and Deeks refused to admit to liking any of them. He just humored Kensi and watched them with her.

Deeks smiled slightly as they walked back into the bullpen, thinking. It didn't seem that long ago that it was just him and Monty in his apartment; it was quiet and clean and very lonely. But now he had Leo, effectively taking care of changing all three of those things.

Kensi was icing on the cake; she always seemed to make everything better.

"Your car has officially been de-Leo-fied." Deeks said to Kensi, chuckling slightly as he sat at his desk. He glanced away as Leo ran over to the couch to play with his toys, before giving the female agent his attention back.

He could've sworn he saw Kensi's face fall slightly at his words. Deeks tilted his head at her; was it possible she wasn't ready to let go of Leo? His heart swelled with possibilities.

"But of course that only took away a fraction of the junk in there; really Kensi, you've got to take care of all that crap." Deeks teased her, eager to see her smile again.

Kensi smirked and rolled her eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about. My car is fine."

"Yea, because those totally weren't Twinkie wrappers stuffed in between those seats. And it definitely wasn't an entire box of them hidden in case of emergency sugar cravings." Deeks grinned.

Her eyes blazed as Callen and Sam rolled with laughter. "You'd better not have touched them either; and you're definitely not allowed to eat any more of them on stakeouts." She retorted, crossing her arms satisfied.

"You probably won't want them anymore; I opened 'em all and licked 'em." Deeks teased.

Kensi's jaw dropped a bit. "You wouldn't." She hissed.
"You're gonna die." Sam chuckled.

Deeks shrugged and crosses his arms behind his head, leaning back in chair. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't."

Kensi stared at him for a few moments, trying to determine if he was lying or not. Slowly, she stood up from her desk.

"Where are you goin?" Callen inquired, amused.
"I'm gonna go check on my Twinkies." Kensi explained, glaring at Deeks.

The three men laughed as she walked out. "So what'd I miss while I was gone?" Deeks inquired of the senior agents.

"Not a whole lot." Callen shrugged.
"Kensi moped the entire time you were gone." Sam smirked.

That caught the shaggy surfer's attention. "Really? Like, mopey just not as upbeat as usual or like, kinda down mopey?" He asked.

"Down mopey." Sam replied.
"It was almost pitiful, she looked like a lost puppy." Callen grinned.

"Kensi? A mopey lost puppy?" Deeks emphasized, a grin forming on his lips.
"She didn't know what to do with herself when you weren't here." Callen nodded.

"Kensi's really good with Leo though." Sam commented.
"Yea, Leo's not ready for her to go back to her own life." Deeks agreed.

"Her own life? Because she does so much outside of this job and maybe hanging out with you? Do any of us have a life besides Sam?" Callen asked.

"Pretty sure Nell has a life. Velma seems like the kind to be able to juggle it." Deeks said.

"But what I mean is she's probably going to miss Leo too; it's just her at her apartment and it'll get lonely for her." Callen shrugged.

"The lone wolf himself, pitying other people's loneliness?" Sam grinned.
"I like to think of it as more of a peaceful silence." His partner smirked.
"Don't play like you don't like the craziness of a family at my house." The Seal accused.

Deeks took a drink of his coffee and made a noise of agreement. "I second that, because I almost went nuts being alone in the shitty LAPD safe house. I missed the noise of Leo playing and Monty barking."

"Yea that'd be tough..." Sam nodded.
"I get enough of craziness with this job. I like when it's quiet." Callen insisted.

"Uncle Callen! I found my Wobin toy; you can pway Bah-man and Wobin wiff me!" Leo announced, running over to the senior agent in charge and climbing into his lap, thrusting the Robin toy at him.

Deeks' eyebrows shot up. "Uncle Callen?" He said softly.
"We offered to be his uncles while you were gone." Sam explained quietly.

"Thank you. He needs more family than just me." Deeks replied, a raw emotion in his voice.

"No problem." Sam nodded.

They watched as Callen humored Leo and played with the action figures, a small smile on the older man's face. "Yea, definitely doesn't like the craziness of family." Sam grinned. When his partner glared at him half-heartedly, the man simple laughed.

Deeks looked around and noticed Kensi still hasn't returned from checking on her precious Twinkies. "I'm gonna go make sure Fern hasn't wolfed down that entire box." He smirked lightly, shaking his head at his partner's antics.

"My guess is she's already eaten four." Callen grinned.
"More like six." Sam chuckled.

Deeks grinned as he walked out, feeling better than he had a few minutes ago; he'd miss the team's bantering and how easy it was to be around friends. Family, he corrected himself. The thought of the two senior agents offering to be Leo's uncles touched him more than he could say.

So maybe they really didn't dislike him, Deeks mused. I knew it. He chuckled to himself.

He walked around to Kensi's car and his eyebrows rose at the sight. Kensi was half in her car and half out of it, the position offering a very enjoyable view of her ass.

Deeks decided she needed to wear that particular pair of jeans more often.

He dragged his eyes appreciatively over her figure before he heard her mumbling to herself. Deeks furrowed his eyes as he watched her dig all around her car, apparently looking for something.

"Where is that damn number?" He heard her swear.

Deeks froze, and the card in his pocket suddenly burned. "Lookin' for something there, Kensalina?" He asked.

He saw her jump slightly, which dragged his attention back lower as she turned around and glared at him. "Jesus, Deeks! How long have you been standing there? I didn't hear you." She snapped lightly.

"Not long. What's up? You've been out here for a while so I figured I'd come see if any of the Twinkies survived." Deeks grinned smoothly, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Well, I'm looking for a phone number..." She replied, her voice becoming slightly muffled as she bent over and started digging through the backseat. "New guy...not bad...thought I'd give it a try y'know?" Deeks caught only part, but it was enough.

She was looking for Derek's number.
The thought absolutely burned Deeks' blood.

"So... have you called him before?" He asked carefully, a hint of possessiveness in his voice, with a dash of growing anger.

"Yea, I couple times. I wasn't so sure about it at first, but I decided to try it and it actually really surprised me." Kensi threw a small smile over her shoulder. "But that doesn't matter now if I can't find the number!" She huffed, frustrated.

Deeks' heart dropped into his stomach at her words. So Kensi had been talking to Derek, and more than once! Deeks wasn't sure how anyone could stand talking to him for more than a second, but apparently she could.

Did Kensi not want to wait for him to come back? They seemed like they were edging towards figuring out what exactly their 'thing' was, until they were horribly interrupted by Bates.

Damn you, Bates. Deeks thought angrily.

Deeks didn't understand why Derek, of all people. It wasn't bad enough that she was moving on from him, she was moving on with Derek! And talking to him more than once implied more than one date.

That thought froze the shaggy agent; Kensi didn't do second dates, he remembered. Whatever was going on was something more than just a mere fling. Deeks' heart clenched painfully and anger filled him.

She knew he was coming back; it hadn't really been that long of a wait. He thought. Shaking his head, he turned around and stormed back into OSP. Deeks needed to clear his head, and try to figure out a way to deal with what he'd just discovered.

It was not an easy pill for him to swallow.

"Aha! I found it! Deeks I found the number for that..." Kensi said turning around excitedly, but she found Deeks was no longer there. "...new restaurant down the street." She finished to herself.

It wasn't like Deeks to just leave while they were talking; usually he was hanging onto their conversations and, considering their recent forced separation, Kensi thought he would've wanted to talk to her.

She wanted to talk to him, after all.

When Deeks had announced her car didn't have any traces of Leo anymore, Kensi couldn't help but feel a little sad, and disappointed; she actually liked having Leo's stuff in her big car, it made it feel like there was a purpose for all that room. His car seat had become a normal sight for her, and now that it was gone Kensi didn't like how empty the backseat looked.

Shaking her head, Kensi clutched the takeout menu in one hand as she got out of her car. As she shut her door, Kensi wondered why Deeks had been acting so strangely. She knew her partner, and his voice had had a strange sharpness to it; Kensi could've sworn it was almost... jealousy.

But that's ridiculous, of what? Kensi thought to herself, rolling her eyes. Maybe she was just imagining things, or maybe she wasn't paying as much attention as she thought. Kensi shrugged it off and went back inside.

Deeks almost stormed back into the bullpen, a heavy look on his face as he took his seat at his desk again. Callen and Sam shared an amused glance before turning their attention back to the rookie agent.

"Kensi okay?" Sam inquired.

"Yea, she's fine. Lookin' for a phone number... some new guy she's been calling..." Deeks huffed.

The shaggy agent missed the senior agents' knowing smirk. "New guy, you say?" Callen asked, his voice staying completely even.

"Yup. Apparently she's been calling him for a little while... trying something new." Deeks rolled his eyes.

"Oh? So you mean like, more than once? Kensi doesn't usually go for that." Sam smirked.

"I know! That's exactly what I thought." The surfer exclaimed, not catching onto the teasing tone in either of the men's voices.

Kensi can back in and immediately looked at Deeks, gaging if he was upset or if she'd really been imagining things. But, before she could get a word out, Deeks spoke. "Hey, where's Leo?" He inquired.

"Oh, he went up to OPS." Callen replied.
"He wanted to show Nelly his Batman toy." Sam smiled lightly.

Deeks relaxed slightly and leaned back in his chair. "So, case load been slower like this a lot?" He asked.

"Lately, yeah. At first we were kinda glad; we got swamped when you'd first left. But now there's not much to do." Kensi explained.

"I'm dying; I've already beat G for Champion of the World four times." Sam grinned.

"It was only three; you know I totally had you that last time. Leo ran onto the court and distracted me because you gave him five bucks!" Callen objected making the four laugh lightly.

"But other than that we just kinda sit around till someone gets lunch, then we try to come up with something to do..." Sam finished.

"It's excruciating. If I have to look at another expensive report because I have nothing else to do, I'm going to shoot myself." Callen groaned.

Kensi groaned in agreement. "I'm with you, Callen. Oh, speaking of, Sam. I'll be back in a little bit. I already called and everything so it won't be long." She perked up.

"Sounds good." Sam nodded.
"We'll see you when you get back then, Kens." Callen replied.

"Deeks, you wanna come?" Kensi inquired.
The surfer looked at her quizzically. "Why would I wanna come?" He asked.

She was a little taken aback. "Um... okay, my bad. Figured you'd wanna go for a ride."

"Maybe I don't like where you're going." Deeks shot back.

"Well you don't have to like it Deeks, I do and that's what matters!" Kensi snapped, quickly becoming angry.

"Oh, that's how it is now? Huh. Good to know. Go have fun. I'm gonna go check on my kid." Deeks snapped back, shooting up from his seat and storming upstairs into OPS without looking back.

Kensi's eyebrows were at her hairline as she watched him leave. "What the hell was that?" She asked, looking at the senior agents. "Did he say anything to you guys while I was outside? I mean, what was that about?" Kensi demanded.

Callen and Sam, both extremely amused at the situation, glanced at each other before smiling innocently. "I have no idea. Sam you know what's up with Deeks?" Callen inquired.

"When do I ever know what's up with Deeks?" Sam chuckled.

"I didn't mean to offend him by suggesting a new take out place. Geez..." Kensi mumbled, turning and walking out.

"Should we tell them?" Sam smirked to his partner.
"Tell them what?" Callen grinned.

Leo spent the majority of that evening retelling everything Deeks had missed while he was away. Everything from that "lame joke Uncle Ewic told" to, surprisingly, Kensi cooking meals.

But, the little boy had assured him, Deeks was obviously the better chef.

It had just been Leo and Deeks all night, when Kensi had asked if they wanted anymore company the surfer had been quick to retort that she "probably had someone else to spend her time with".

And if the flash of anger in her eyes had been any indicator, Deeks knew that Kensi was not happy with him.

But he wasn't happy with her either.

The man sighed as he shifted on the couch next to a passed out Leo at nine o'clock that night; they'd watched silly cartoons and eaten the meal Deeks had made, and just caught up. Leo had tired himself out with the excitement of Deeks finally being home. He smiled as he remembered Leo telling him about the super hero debate he'd missed. As long as the little boy had kept talking, Deeks was fine.

But when it got quiet, and he had time to think, that was when Deeks had trouble.

All night long thoughts of Kensi with another man attempted to overwhelm him; her in someone else's arms, kissing someone else, loving someone else.

It made Deeks' blood boil.

It wasn't supposed to be anyone else, Deeks thought. It was always them two; Kensi and Deeks on stakeout, Deeks and Kensi hanging out after work. Together. They were partners, and he thought they were something more than that now.

Maybe he was wrong. Kensi Blye had been known to surprise him on more than one occasion.

More than anything, Deeks hated the feeling that he'd missed his chance. He had tried to be careful, not push her into anything, for fear of losing her all together. But now, it seemed like all Deeks had done was waste time.

It made him think about his new badge; he was finally an NCIS agent. The thought made him smile. He wasn't just some LAPD guy anymore, he was one of the big dogs; a member of one of the most elite teams; Kensi's NCIS partner.

Deeks wondered if he could continue being her partner if he was forced to watch her slowly slip away from him, and to another man.

He decided he didn't want to find out.

An idea slowly developed in his mind as Deeks sat there, staring at the clock. Scrubbing a hand over his beard, he finally picked up the phone and took a shot.

"Hello?" Mr. Jason's voice answered clearly.

Deeks breathed a sigh of relief; he'd been slightly worried he would wake the older man up. "Hey there, Mr. Jason. It's Marty." Deeks greeted.

"Marty! It's been quite a while, I was beginning to get worried about you! You know, I've seen that girl of yours coming and going quite a bit but I haven't seen you at all!" Mr. Jason chuckled.

Deeks couldn't help but smile as the man referred to Kensi as his girl. Let's hope. He thought. "Yeah, I was on assignment, with the LAPD. Just got back today." Deeks explained.

"They took you away from Leo huh? Not an easy thing to do...been there, had to do that." The older man replied with a softer tone.

Deeks should've known the man had had to do similar cases in his career; Mr. Jason had been a fine cop in his day. "Nobody should have to... well, listen Mr. Jason I was wondering if I could maybe get a favor..." Deeks started.

Not even her tub of Rocky Road ice cream could solve Kensi's bad mood that night. She sat on her couch watching Top Model in sweat pants and a hoodie that may or may not have been Deeks'.

Deeks, she thought grumpily.

Kensi apparently done something to her partner, and for the life of her she didn't know what it was. He was in a horrible mood the rest of the day, excluding whenever Leo was around and even then there was tension.

When she suggested they go out to eat, or just stay in, the three of them, Deeks had snapped at her. He'd insisted Kensi had somewhere better to be with someone else, but she had no idea what he was talking about.

But he made it clear she wasn't invited that night.

So she went to her apartment. Her lonely, quite apartment that didn't quite feel like home anymore.

To make matters worse, the majority of her clothes were at his apartment; her makeup bag and practically everything Kensi needed were over there. But she would not be going over there. If anything, she thought, Deeks should be coming over here to apologize.

And then her doorbell rang.

Kensi groaned and tried to ignore whoever it was; she didn't feel like talking. "Stupid partner...stupid Deeks..." She mumbled into her now empty ice cream carton.

The doorbell rang again, and again, and Kensi realized whoever it was wouldn't go away until she opened the door. So begrudgingly, she shuffled over and yanked it open. Standing there was a sheepish looking Deeks, rubbing the back of his neck.

Kensi glanced up and sighed. "I so did not mean that literally." She mumbled.
"What?" He asked.

"Nothing. What do you want, Deeks? I'm kinda in the middle of something." Kensi rolled her eyes, leaning against her door.

Her partner shot a quick glance inside her apartment, before a small smirk pulled on his lips. "Oh come on, we both know that ice cream is gone and they haven't even started judging Top Model yet." He pointed out.

"And?" She shrugged, shifting on her feet.

"Kens, can we maybe talk? I know we're not exactly the best at it... but I am willing to try if you are." Deeks told her.

Kensi's eyebrows rose. "You know, I actually suggested that earlier but apparently I have better places to be." She snapped.

The shaggy man sighed and shoved his hand in his pockets. "Look, I just... I kinda flipped out when I found the number to the guy you've been seeing and I didn't know how to handle-"

"Whoa. The guy I've been seeing?" Kensi interrupted, confused.

"Umm... yea. Officer Derek. He uh, he'd mentioned you'd been talking and then when I was cleaning out your car I found his number and then you were looking for it and said you were trying something new..." Deeks rambled, pulling the card from his pocket and holding it up.

Kensi blinked and stared at him as he leaned against the doorjamb. She turned her gaze to the card she'd only glanced at once before she burst out laughing. "Oh my God." Kensi laughed. "You. You are so jealous." She grinned teasingly.

Deeks' eyes narrowed and his face turned a little red with anger. "You're making fun of me. Great. That's... great." He ground out.

"I'm just teasing." Kensi said carefully, looking at him quizzically.

"Well I'm not, Kensi. Maybe I am jealous because I don't like you going out with some other guy. Especially not that bastard!" Deeks snapped.

Her eyes flashed dangerously as her irritation grew and mixed with his. "You don't like it? Frankly, Deeks, I don't need you to like it!"

"Oh really? So I'm just supposed to let my partner just go out with anybody and sit back and watch it?" He yelled.

"I don't need you to do anything! You don't have a claim to me, Deeks!" Kensi yelled back.

"I don't have a claim? I don't..." Deeks blew a long breath out between clenched teeth as his hands fisted at his sides. She could practically feel the jealous and anger flowing off him. But Kensi didn't really care at the moment; he was yelling at her so she yelled back.

"Well why do you even care if I did see Derek or any other guy?" Kensi snapped.

"Because I want you!" Deeks yelled.

Kensi froze. If she'd thought before they'd crossed the line with their thing, now they'd just driven ten miles passed it. Her eyes widened as his words echoed through her mind. Looking into his eyes, Kensi could only see confidence and maybe a little bit of anguish in them.

"I want you Kensi. Me. No one else. Just us. I have... we have been playing around this line for so damn long. And I thought we were finally about to get somewhere, and then fucking Bates had to swoop in because that is my luck." Deeks chuckled humorlessly, shaking his head.

He was standing up straight now, looking at her as if begging her to see the truth in his words. "It's always been you, Kensi. I know what it's like to wake up beside you and I can't imagine even thinking about waking up any other way from now on. I want you with me, all the time

"And I just kept thinking about you with Derek, or anybody else for that matter, and it just made me sick. Because I want it to be us. I don't want you to be with anyone but me. And I damn sure don't wanna be with anyone but you." Deeks said, softly as he ended his speech.

Kensi could only stare at his took in deep breaths, the realization of what he'd just put out there hitting him. Deeks stared at her for a moment, willing her to say something –anything- but she couldn't find words.

Deeks took her silence as rejection, and his head immediately fell. Kensi's heart broke a little at the complete devastation on his face as he tried to accept what he thought she meant.

"You actually think I went out with Derek?" Kensi asked, finally coming up with words. Deeks' eyebrows furrowed a little, not understanding. A small grin grew on Kensi's face. "You know, I'm a little offended you think my standards are so low."

A small smile started tugging on his lips as he looked up at her slowly. "So... I'm gathering here that my detective skills aren't so sharp anymore." He said cautiously.

"Maybe that's because you're an agent now." She shrugged.

Deeks stuck his tongue in his cheek as he fought the grin threatening to take over his face. "You didn't go out with Derek." He stated.

"I spoke to him once when I was at LAPD one day when you were gone. He gave me that card and I just threw it in my car, I didn't want it. I threw it with my other junk." She explained.

"Junk." Deeks repeated softly, a gentle smile on his face.
"So yeah...we uh, got that cleared up." Kensi laughed lightly.

"Cleared up? Are we... what exactly just happened? Because, I am lost." Deeks asked lightly.

She glanced down at her feet before shrugging. "Okay." She said.

"Okay? I'm not...following. Are we now discussing my big declaration. Because, that was pretty big. I give myself props for that; you may want to frame that, put it on a cushion or something; could be the next big poem or scene in a Nicholas Sparks novel you pretend you don't love." Deeks grinned.

Kensi couldn't help but laugh at her partner's antics. "Um yes, about that.. Okay." She nodded.

"So is that an okay like an agreement? Or are you going Nick Fury on me all like 'I recognize you have made this declaration, but given that it's a stupid ass declaration I have elected to ignore it'?" Deeks teased.

Kensi laughed again. "Okay as in I accept your declaration, as you call it. And yea... I um, what you said...that is... I feel... yea." She stuttered, glancing away from him.

Deeks' grin grew wider and he was practically vibrating with excitement. "I'm sorry what was that? 'Cause there's this buzzing out here and I didn't quite hear you so if you could just say it again, just for me." He teased.

She inhaled deeply. "I hate you." She said.
"No, you don't, you don't hate me." Deeks beamed.

"Our thing, I... I want us too. You and me." Kensi said, looking him straight in the eye.

Deeks gave her about three seconds to think about what she'd just said.

And then he cupped her face and pulled her lips to meet his.

Kensi immediately melted into him, grabbing the collar of his shirt and tugging him backwards into the apartment. Deeks followed her, lips still connected as he kicked the door shut behind him; he turned her and pressed her against the door as he moved his lips with hers, kissing her as thoroughly as he'd dreamed of doing for so long.

Kensi would never admit it to him, but Deeks was a helluva kisser. Her toes curled as his tongue traced her bottom lip and parted hers. She would definitely deny the tiny moans he pulled from her throat as his hands slid down her body to bring her ever closer to him. He made a low growl as she reached up and tugged on those blonde locks he was proud of.

Deeks pulled back as the need for oxygen became slightly more important than feeling Kensi's lips on his. But only just. He smirked as he watched her eyes stay closed and her lips follow his.

With a small chuckle, he buried his face in the crook of her neck, placing little kisses up and down it. "You want me." He grinned.

"Don't make me regret saying that." Kensi groaned half-heartedly.
"You want me, you want me." Deeks said, almost gleefully.

"Yeah, maybe I didn't really mean that. Maybe I should just take that number off your hands." Kensi teased.

Deeks growled possessively and slammed his lips back to hers, effectively making her forget all about that stupid number that caused all this. He ran his hands through her hair, messing it up even more, before they moved up and down her back, making shivers run all through her body.

Not to be outdone, Kensi slowly trailed her hands down his chest; raking her nails down through his shirt, making him groan against her lips. Deeks captured her hands and held them above her head, cutting off her teasing ministrations. She smirked against his lips and ground her hips against his teasingly.

Deeks groaned again and pushed her harder against the wall, pulling away from her lips and nipped at her neck. "If you don't stop, I am going to ravish you, right here against this wall, and I'd really like to take you on a date first."

Kensi moaned at his husky words. "Mmm, ravish, huh? That sounds like a lot of talk there, Shaggy."

Deeks chuckled and pressed his lips to her jaw. "It ain't just talk, Princess. But I'm serious about that date; and besides, I left Mr. Jason watching Leo. And I promised I'd only be gone an hour." He admitted.

She pulled away and grinned in disbelief. "You came all the way over here to tell me you want us, and only expected to be gone for an hour?" Kensi laughed.

Deeks grinned sheepishly. "In my defense, there was a fifty-fifty chance of how that was gonna go. I mean, you could've shut the door in my face."

"Fifty-fifty huh? Sounds like you gave yourself pretty good odds." She teased.

Deeks' voice turned husky, and low again; a tone that made Kensi's heart beat faster and a blush spread across her cheeks. "Fern, considering I've got you pressed against the wall, and your hair is messed up from my hands, and your lips are swollen from my kisses, and," He paused, , pressing several kisses all over her face; her nose, her cheeks, her forehead before he dropped his to rest against hers, "you are wearing my hoodie. My favorite hoodie, actually. Which you look extremely sexy in, by the way. I figure I didn't give myself good enough odds." He grinned.

"Yea, yea, yea, Shaggy." Kensi rolled her eyes, unable to send a retort back.

"So I get to call you mine now? All mine. Deeks and Kensi. Kensi and Deeks. Let's see, what is that... Keeks? No, no, wait.. Densi. Yup. I like it. We're Densi." Deeks grinned.

Kensi rolled her eyes. "Densi?" She asked.
"What? It's not bad." He chuckled.

"No... I kinda like the sound of it. And yes. You are mine, and I am yours." Kensi smiled, kissing his lips again; quickly becoming addicted to his kisses.

"I'd just like to point out the fact that you claimed me first, in that statement." Deeks teased.

"Yes, I did." She smirked, wrapped her arms firmly around her neck, kissing him.

Deeks groaned, returning the kiss for a few minutes before pulling away. "I am supposed to be going back to my apartment and you are making it impossible." He pouted, making her laugh.

"Oh, do you think I can come get my stuff? Pretty much all of my important stuff is at your apartment." Kensi said.

"You asking to come home with me? Because if you are you should just say so, Kensalina." Deeks teased.

Kensi snorted and shoved his chest lightly. "Shut up. I just want my stuff."

"You know, I could technically fall into that category now that you have claimed me." Deeks smirked.

She laughed, a small blush on her cheeks again. "I meant my stuff that doesn't irritate the hell out of me." She teased.

"Or give fantastic kisses." He smiled, puckering his lips jokingly.
"Are you gonna let me get my stuff or not?" Kensi asked, ignoring his statement.

"Nope." Deeks shook his head.
"No? Why not?" Kensi demanded.

"Because getting your stuff would mean you leaving and coming back here. And that is not acceptable. Not tonight, at least. I wanna hold you, fall asleep with you in my arms. Wake up the exact same way." Deeks said softly.

Her heart melted at his words and she smiled softly. "Are you asking me to come home with you? Because if you are you should just say so, Shaggy." Kensi couldn't help but tease.

"Get your ass in my car, Fern." Deeks smirked.

"Why don't you," She paused, poking him in the chest, "make me Deeks." Kensi said challengingly.

Deeks' eyebrows rose and his eyes flashed mischievously. Before Kensi could register what was happening, Deeks picked her up and threw her over his shoulder, locking an arm around her waist.

"Deeks put me down!" Kensi squealed, kicking her legs lightly.

"Nope." Deeks replied smugly. She could just tell he had that shit eating grin on his face as he carried her over to her coffee table, turning the TV off before turning her lights off as well; grabbing her keys and locking the door behind him as she squirmed in his hold.

He chuckled as she swatted his butt. "You remember what I said earlier? Don't make me throw you in the backseat." He threatened lightly.

"Yea, yea, yea." Kensi laughed.

Deeks set her on her feet as he opened his car door for her, smiling down at her softly; his eyes bright with happiness and affection. Kensi smiled back at him and kissed him softly. "I could get used to doing that." She whispered against his lips.

"I already have, Fern. Catch up." Deeks replied, smirking down at her.
