Please re-read chapters 1&2, as its been a long time since I've posted and there have been subtle changes to both.

Biel-Tan

The cycle of night had come to the dome and many Eldar had retreated to their respective spires and apartments throughout the Craftworld in order to sleep. Being Biel-Tan as it was, many would need it if Khaine ever came calling to them for his inevitable and insatiable thirst for war. The Craftworld was currently traveling through a void of empty space in the southeastern quadrant of the galaxy, no planets or nearby stars in sight and well out of the way of marauding enemies.

Although it was technically a time for rest, one female Eldar simply refused to.

The Dome of Somber Benevolence was one of the few throughout the Craftworld dedicated solely the preservation of nature, and being Biel-Tan of all Craftworlds with its many domes dedicated to temples of Khaine and aspect portals, that was saying much. Half of it was a small forest with paths blazed by frequent visitors with streams and such flowing through it, the water fed to it from an adjacent dome. The other half was a beach and ocean that covered the rest all the way to the edge of the dome.

The female sat on the beach not far from the farthest point where the seawater had come up with her toes dug into the sand, occasionally digging themselves in and out of the sand. There was no wind to blow her dark brown hair and if so it could easily be compared to the flow in the calm waves deep out to sea. Her deep green eyes were not focused on the water but rather up into the sky, where the outer dome had become transparent against the backdrop of space, revealing the great treat of the vast amount of stars and distant nebulas.

She was transfixed by this sight as she fell onto her back to soak in the sight, she was so eager to take in every aspect of this sight that she couldn't keep her eyes on the same position for more than a millisecond. Her advanced reflexes practically edging her to look at something new every time she thought she could focus on something.

Soon, she sighed in satisfaction before pulling herself into a sitting position and grabbing her wraithbone bagpipes that had been sitting in the sand off to her left. She cleaned off the sand littering the mouthpiece and blew into it once, producing a harmonious sound that responded to the touch of her breath.

Then she spoke, "My thanks...goddess of the dreams...for gifting this sight to my eyes away from sleep. For you, I will play a melody that I have been practicing in secret...away from prying eyes and ears."

With that, Lilien the bonesinger began to play.

Her breath was light upon the mouthpiece but it did not mean the music that came out the other end was low in any way. In fact its tune traveled across the beach and stretched as far as the wind would take it, it even reached a young couple sitting far down the beach away from the bonesinger, capping their night together with the song of a maiden.

When she finished, she slung her bagpipes across her back but still remained sitting on the beach, determined to enjoy this serene environment for as long as possible. The light generated by infinite distant stars enabled her to see far out into the water and the beach and forest behind her almost as well is in broad daylight. She came here quite often to get away from the busy lifestyle of her workshop and finally have the peace that she loved so much.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, taking in the scents generated by the sea and flora within the trees behind her combined. Lilien could not have hoped for a greater evening than this.

Perhaps maybe if her brother were here, it would have been complete. As much as she valued her time alone, she feared long term loneliness with a passion and now that he had been locked on the path of the seer, Lilien was beginning to get an uneasy feeling. A life-partner was not for her as even her friends were sure of that, Lilien the maiden to most Eldar and Lilien the ice queen to love struck males.

That was why she always valued every single minute with her brother despite the less time they saw each other. Most of the time she wouldn't dwell on his musings of the future and she was sure that he knew that, but even he could not deny the clingy nature his sister had on him. She valued his smile most of all because of all the things she had heard about farseers, those Eldar that had met her brother seemed to enjoy Elohiem's almost cheerful nature above all.

Of course, he would become something very different once Khaine took hold of him, Lilien had seen it with her own eyes in her past as a Dire Avenger. She blinked at the thought for a moment before smiling and shaking her head. Looking out into the sea, she looked across the horizon towards the other side of the dome before looking up into the void of space again.

"How lonely those stars must be..." she said to no one in particular, "No company, no brothers or sisters, no mothers or fathers...just lifeless planetary bodies floating around them for life and sustenance."

She cocked her head and slowly switched between each glowing body before settling on one and sighing, "How lonely you must be." Lilien breathed out her nose and shook her head, who was she speaking to that which had no life? Its not like she hoped it would answer her back.

Just then, a tiny streak of light lanced its way across the sky before quickly disappearing again, leaving Biel-Tan's vicinity as quickly as it had arrived. She smiled and appreciated the small act of nature on this very night cycle.

Lilien held up a hand and placed her palm against the sky, her long fingers spreading out and stretching their aching muscles. While holding her hand up, she looked around to make sure no one was listening or nearby and uttered a quick word in reference to her secret desire.

"What are you doing?" asked a voice on her left that nearly made Lilien yelp in fright. She looked to her left to see the small form of a child, a young female to be exact, with growing crimson hair and bright green eyes that shone like emeralds in the night. The little girl's spirit stone glowed beneath her gown as Lilien sighed and smiled, for she knew this little one in particular.

"Hello Skrekrea, rather the question should be, what are you doing here? Your mother and father will not be pleased to know you are out so far away from the Twilight Gleaming." Lilien said as she raised an eyebrow.

The girl was clever and clasped her hands behind her back, leaning forward and saying, "I asked you first."

Lilien had to admit, the little girl and her slightly older brother were a rarity among rarities-they delighted in exploring their surroundings whether it be with each other or on their own, much to the annoyance of their cautious parents. The bonesinger had known Landros and Taradrin, the children's parents, since the older Eldar were themselves children and it was clear even then that they were inseparable, and Lilien was extremely happy for the both of them to have survived this long and to have had so much favor in their family.

The elder Eldar flinched a bit at that last part.

She nodded and said, "Oh...I am just enjoying the moment, though I do not believe I have ever seen you here with your parents or your brother."

"I was following you and became afraid when I couldn't find you after departing the terminal, but your music allowed me to find you once more." Skrekrea beamed with a proud expression.

The bonesinger chuckled into her palm, "How clever you are little one, you and your brother both. Alas, I do believe that I have spent enough time enjoying the gifts of Isha, perhaps it is time we returned home."

Lilien could almost sense the pouting mentality emanating from the youth's mind, probably because the child hoped for Lilien to play again or say the truth about what she had been doing on the beach. The bonesinger was keen on keeping that to herself. She got up from the sand and slung her bagpipes behind her back while tightening the strap and motioned for Skrekrea to walk with her down the beach towards the trail that would lead them back to the terminal.

She pursed her lips and said, "Will your mother and father be angry with you for being out here by yourself?" in all honesty, she never knew the reactions of her friends towards their children's adventurous nature.

"Mother and father know they cannot stop us, but they do wish as back by the time the moon passes over our heads." Skrekrea said, looking up and giving a worried look when she saw the artificial moon directly above them.

Lilien raised and eyebrow and smirked, "Such an interesting couple your parents, hard to believe the son and daughter of a poet and follower of Isha have you two."

Skrekrea looked up at Lilien with a curious look.

The bonesinger wrinkled her brow and said, "Not to say I was expecting anything but I'm sure you're mother and father are happy with you. They have had much fortune in their life, and they are thankful."

"Are you thankful Lilien?" Skrekrea asked.

"For what?"

"Well...anything really." the little girl shrugged, not really knowing how to continue the question.

Lilien however took the question carefully, "Oh I am thankful for many things. That my ancestors rest peacefully in the circuit for a time when they are called, and that my brother...of all people...is who he is. Your parents may attest to that but..." she ran her tongue around her lips, "...of course there are the other things such as the life I have been gifted and the talent I have attained." she looked down and asked, "Does that answer your question?"

The girl nodded feverishly as the two angled themselves off the beach into a trail leading into the forest. The paved trail was smooth against their bare feet and they enjoyed the sounds of curious birds and insects chirping here and there as well as the sound of running water in a stream. After a good walk, they existed the forest to find their trails converging with others towards the back end of the dome closer to the heart of the Craftworld. The terminal was there where the paths ended in each other, currently an air carriage was coming down its light filament towards the ground.

The two Eldar entered the rib-shaped air carriage and soon it began its slow trek back up into the sky, they sat down near the back and it was only occupied by a few others, perhaps out on midnight strolls like themselves.

The carriage moved through the air and occasionally came to ground to stop at a terminal or pass through the underground tunnels connecting the domes. At one such station in the Dome of Ascending Brilliance, a tall female with deep blue eyes but long blonde hair entered and saw Lilien and Skrekrea. The newcomer smiled at both of them as they smiled back and she walked over to them.

"Greetings of the night cycle unto you Fithierenel." Lilien said, and laid her hands in the young but tall female. Fithierenel smiled and held the gesture for a moment before doing the same for Skrekrea, when they were done greeting each other, Fithierenel stepped back and took a seat just a foot or so away in the middle of the carriage.

Fithierenel was the adolescent daughter of one of Lilien's other friends, and had quickly risen to prominence for her wonderful singing voice known throughout Biel-Tan. She did not let her pride get the best of her, and was extremely humble in the face of praise. Her beauty accented her voice and was one of the few Eldar on Biel-Tan to calm her people's nerves especially for her Craftworld's reputation. She also had not appeared to be whispered to by Khaine just yet, and Lilien secretly hoped for that to hold out as long as possible.

While Skrekrea busied herself by looking out the panels to the dome below, Lilien asked, "How goes your preparation for your next concert?"

The younger Eldar looked upward for a moment for sighing, "The pressure mounting for an Ode to Asuryan is...distracting at best, my mentor is very strict when it comes to practicing for such an act. Over and over again I must repeat verses even when I know I have mastered them. It is...debilitating."

It was then that Lilien could see the singer was stressed, as if by cue her body sagged and she almost looked to be out of breath, Lilien should have suspected this for such a high stakes performance.

Lilien gave her warmest smile, "I would not seek to downplay the pressure you feel...I could not hope to take the stage you do...with an entire Craftworld watching you." she cocked her head towards the ceiling of the air carriage and tapped her chin, "But you may hold the knowledge that every song and poem I have ever heard you utter has done nothing but soothe over my mind."

Fithierenel blinked and blushed as Lilien continued, "We are artists in our own right of course, but we travel separate paths. Do not let your nervousness or anxiety get the best of you, it is irrelevant."

The bonesinger leaned forward, smiling as she said, "If you are the Fithierenel that I have watched perform to thousands of Eldar all these passes...then there is no doubt you will succeed in your endeavor."

The singer cocked her head a little bit and chuckled into her palm, "Thank you for your kind words lady Lilien, but enough about me, how goes your forge?"

Lilien was surprised that someone would take an interest into her workshop, and what exactly she and her fellow bonesingers were crafting with the wraithbone, but nevertheless she responded, "The forging of a smaller vessel contracted by a group of rangers is ahead of schedule. The wraithbone has been generous to us and has responded by forming the most intricate of curves of this vessel. Truly, our customers will be impressed."

Fithierenel's eyes glowed at the description of Lilien's work as she continued and the two women exchanged more information about upcoming jobs or performances. Soon however, they came to a stop within the Dome of Jubilant Complacency, and Fithierenel rose. She exchanged parting gestures with Skrekrea and Lilien before exiting the air carriage.

The bonesinger smiled as the girl left, so innocent whereas most of her friends were beginning to feel the Bloody Handed one whisper to them in their dreams. Whether it was because they had lost loved ones to the many enemies of the Eldar or for one reason or the other, Lilien did not know, but she reaffirmed her thankfulness that Khaine had not turned his all seeing gaze to the girl.

She cocked her head at Skrekrea, still marveling at the sights below and the same thought came to her.

She shivered.

Soon, the air carriage dropped directly from the sky slowly towards the ground as it descended into the Dome of Twilight Gleaming, where she and Skrekrea's family lived. When they exited the air carriage, they set off westward towards the southwestern quadrant of the dome, which was home to a great many spires and apartments for citizens.

They walked along the southern edge of the park which dominated the central area of the dome, sometimes laughing at the fireflies that came down from the trees to fly curiously around them. Occasionally, they would pass by a nocturnal Eldar out for a walk, Lilien even exchanged greetings for a short while with Aredhel, the ranger who had ordered the ship that Lilien and her fellow bonesingers were constructing.

Minutes past and soon Skrekrea parted from Lilien, promising to bring Jarielle, her older brother, with her next time she followed Lilien to the Dome of Somber Benevolence. Lilien watched her depart towards a large spire situated near the border of the dome, trusting that the young girl was able enough to reach home on her own and indeed, she was.

Lilien then made her way towards her own apartment complex, a large irregular shaped structure connected to a market place. She entered the lobby and quickly took a circular gravity lift up to the top floor where her apartment was. Not that she was in a hurry, but she felt tired after playing her instrument most of the day and was eager to rest.

When she finally got to her door, an unusual feeling passed over her spine as she reached for the knob and noticed that its rune signaled it was unlocked. She cocked her head for a moment but shook it off as she entered, snapping her fingers for the lights to come on as she turned to move to the kitchen.

"Something tells me you are doing much more than playing music for your namesake at night...dear sister." said a voice that this time made Lilien yelp in fright before she turned around, seeing a very familiar Eldar sitting on the couch sipping on a spiced tea in a little cup. His long brown hair was tied up into a pony tail that matched his brown and white robes. His forehead holding a small panel to smooth back his long hair. These robes signaled a departure from the normal citizen of Biel-Tan, and clearly stated his chosen path as evidenced by their many symbols and designs in white.

Her twin brother could have been mistaken for her had he been a bit smoother in build around the body and face, but one thing he was known for was his personality, perhaps known outside of the seer council where he was most known for it.

Lilien had not seen her brother for a while now, it had almost reached a pass in length, but now that streak had been broken. She looked back down at the handle to her door and began to ask when Elohiem gulped his tea and said, "Strange how you keep a lock on your door now, though I do believe that it is not for security reasons, but rather for privacy, am I correct?"

He then put down his cup on the table in front of them and then laughed as he got up from the couch he was seated on, "Then again, what need of you of security? Nevertheless, it has been a long time hasn't it Lilien? Perhaps too long. You must forgive me for my long stays away from the home of mother and father...one can only handle up to here..." he said as he lifted his right hand to the top of his head, "...in the dabbles of the council."

She didn't know quite how to react to the fact that he was just now informing her of his position on the seer council, headed by Macha herself. Knowing her brother and his unusual humor for a farseer, she didn't know if she should be grateful that he'd not turned into a morbid being or be wary of his demeanor.

Lilien had watched many of her friends change far more on the path of the seer than they had on the warrior's path, perhaps it was because of the many futures they had seen. Death...destruction...pain...she had tried to sever herself from the reality of that path as much as possible but now with her brother apart of their ranks, it was all but futile.

"I am not familiar with council politics but...I would imagine they don't take lightly to your...your..." her voice trailed off.

Elohiem smirked, "My outlook? Oh I would have to agree! My opinion is valued of course as is every seer that has gained the right to sit on the council, its just the way I present it seems to irk them."

He looked up from his hands and smiled at Lilien, "But I did not come here to discuss my troubles, I came here for you of course."

Lilien walked over to a tall crystal lattice situated in the corner of her room, when she un-slung her bagpipes-she pushed them up into the lattice to allow its layers of glowing blue cells to overlap the instrument and hold it carefully until it was needed again. Turning back to Elohiem she asked, "What for?"

Her brother raised a single finger, "It has come to my attention that a troupe of the Laughing God is in residence here for the time being to discuss certain...events...with the council. However, they will be performing a great many dances on the eve of their departure which happens to be in two cycles time. How about this...I will fetch you before then and we may walk there together and enjoy their performance as brother and sister."

Elohiem opened his arms and raised his eyebrows in an elaborate show to get Lilien to come with him, he had a habit of guilt tripping her into doing things...mischievous things even when they were younger. She had nothing going on in two cycles time, so it seemed logical that she would go with her brother, but she could only imagine what details or things Elohiem might reveal to her in that time together, for better or worse.

Lilien had only heard about the children of the Laughing God and their intricate ways of problem solving, she had only rarely caught glimpses of the them the times they had come aboard the Craftworld and even then she never really paid them much attention. She could not help to suppress her hidden desire to see them in live performance as many Eldar did, for besides that and speak with the higher levels in the Craftworld's command structure, they arrived on Craftworlds only if they were interested in recruiting someone to their ranks.

She wondered why Elohiem would be interested in seeing their performance together, though she immediately chided herself for thinking that Elohiem no longer cared about her. He may have traveled between the paths of Khaine before becoming trapped on that of the seer, but that didn't mean he had lost all sense of what he had outside of the path despite the morbid futures he dealt with.

The bonesinger smiled warmly and nodded her head, "I would love that." with an unusual hint of resistance still in her mind.

Elohiem clapped his hands together, "Excellent! Then I will return in due time." he said as he crossed the distance between them and laid his hands in hers in a parting gesture. He then moved around her to exit out the front door, closing it behind him.

Lilien slowly turned to look back at the closed door.

She thought she was just coming home for a rest, not to meet the brother she hadn't seen in over two passes. The bonesinger blinked, shrugged, and then moved to her bedroom to retire for the evening.

The cycles came and went and business continued as usual. Lilien would return to her workshop to call the wraithbone forth into its desired position to form her customer's star skimmer. When she was finished for the day, she would head to the Dome of Somber Benevolence to play to her goddess namesake and swim in its warm waters. At the end of it all, she would whisper her secret desire to the goddess, hoping that in the wildest sense, that some part of it could be considered.

However, each day she would return home to a quiet and empty apartment. With her brother more suited for his meditations in the Dome of the Seers and her friends all living elsewhere, she settled for the reality of being alone.

It wasn't that Lilien so desired a partner, just anyone that she could speak with or at least have company with on a daily basis. It could be anyone, just someone, though probably not Biel-Tan's most unusual resident, that one Lilien had a vehement "no" to.

As the nearest star began to set near the end of the second cycle, a series of knocks came in a pattern that Lilien could not help but laugh at because only Elohiem would ever do something like that to her.

"Come in." she called.

The door opened and in walked Elohiem who was beaming with the same mischievous smile Lilien had come to dissociate with any other smile.

"What's so funny?" she raised her eyebrows at him.

Elohiem opened his hands as Lilien rose to greet him and laid his hands in his sisters, he chuckled lightly, "I couldn't wait to see you, so I decided to come early, I've been waiting outside for the past two hours."

Lilien blinked and scrunched her face, "Why did you not knock?"

Her brother shrugged, "Who knows what you were doing in those past two hours, probably not the likes of which you'd like to make aware to me of all people isn't that right dear sister?"

The realization hit Lilien that she'd been daydreaming blissfully instead of making amendments to her bagpipes like she was supposed to have been doing. The only way Elohiem could have known that...

She suddenly narrowed her eyes and frowned at Elohiem.

In his defense, he held up his hands, "I would never seek to intrude upon your privacy unless it was absolutely necessary and obviously, it was not. Your thoughts are your own, but do be aware that we all radiate some part of ourselves for all to sense. One does not need to be a seer to know that."

Lilien made her way to the kitchen and called out loudly, "Come to lecture me about keeping silent? Or are you so hoping to find out just what I have on my mind?"

Elohiem shook his head, "I never said that. You are the only family I have and you are surprised that I don't want to know everything my sister has been doing since I have last seen her?" he raised a hand to stroke his chin, "Unless you are more uncomfortable with the fact that I am a seer. Would you be fine if I was a warrior? A poet? If I hinted at the same...desire?"

The bonesinger looked up ominously and glared at her brother before Elohiem held up his hands again and said, "Alright, alright...I will do my best to avoid even turning in your direction, are you happy now?"

Elohiem raised his eyebrows, lowered his head, and spread his arms in another one of his elaborate shows to appeal to Lilien's helpless humor.

She did her best to stay ticked at Elohiem's psychic intrusion and she knew deep down that she should be relatively fearful that Elohiem might intrude farther than she would have liked. However, she also knew that she couldn't stay mad at that comical face.

Lilien chuckled into her palm and finished putting away her dishes before walking over to Elohiem and kissing him on the nearest cheek, "You are forgiven, but mother and father help you should you get curious once again." she grabbed the parts to her bagpipes and moved them to their crystal lattice holding cabinet to await the time where she could reassemble them properly.

"What if I can't help myself?" he asked genuinely.

"Perhaps you should have thought of that before you embarked on your path, don't you think...dear brother?" she smirked and raised an eyebrow.

Elohiem frowned and nodded his head gently, "Moves and counter moves dear sister, you would make an excellent seer."

"I appreciate your recommendation, but my place is with my music, as yours is with your meditations." she said to which Elohiem pursed his lips and nodded in agreement.

Elohiem gestured for her to exit her room and she preceded him as he closed the door behind the two, seeing as they would be gone for most of the night cycle. They took a gravity lift down to the bottom floor and exited her apartment complex. Sky runners and different aircraft still littered the sky as did many Eldar on the ground, but they both knew that business was winding down for the cycle, and soon the stars would be revealed for all to see.

The farseer looked out and took in a deep breath of air before he looked at Lilien on his left and held out his arm, "Well, shall we?", Lilien smiled and allowed her arm to slip underneath her brothers and their hands locked.

The brother and sister crossed the street into the park on the other side. The trees were lit with a number of glowing lights both artificial and generated by the numerous amounts of light bugs that came out at night. Large trees lined stone pathways and small streams ran underneath bridges and sometimes created tiny islands. The pair passed an number of scholars and astronomers out looking into the sky to study and reflect upon what it had to offer to their eyes.

The farseer spoke up, "I remember walking through this park when we were children, unfortunately for me, it has been long time since I have basked in its scenery."

Lilien nodded, "There is always something new to be discovered in this forest. The rumors from the wishseers say that it is indeed alive, and has changed as much as Biel-Tan has since it first took to the stars."

Elohiem turned to Lilien, "Do you still look up at the stars most nights? I will never forget your favorite past time."

His sister smiled and sighed, "Always the minor details brother." her face turned to a frown, "Forgive me, but you know how long it has been since we have seen each other."

Her twin brother chuckled and held up his free hand, "I take no offense to your loss of memory. I have fellow seers who have become all but detached from the families they may have had. A tragedy, but those trapped with me on my path become nearly as detached from reality as they are from what they once were. The future can be curse...and a gift."

Lilien had turned her head to Elohiem, listening worryingly about her brother's experiences. Elohiem noticed this by the grip of her hand on his, so he gave her another reassuring laugh, "Fear not beloved sister, your brother will never become disinterested with you, how could he? You're all he has left. That is why he has chosen to catch up on times long past."

The bonesinger couldn't help but give in to her laughter as her brother put on another persona to utter his words.

Elohiem continued, "So tell me, how are our dear friends Landros and Taradrin, and their lovely children?"

She was more than happy to change the subject, "Skrekrea and Jarielle flourish under Biel-Tan's protection." she cocked her head at her brother, "They remind me of us. They are always running off, exploring, adventuring...eavesdropping." she ended the sentence while rolling her eyes.

"Ah, am I not wrong to say that you emphasized little Skrekrea with that last word?" Elohiem raised his eyebrows.

"How did you know?" Lilien asked.

Elohiem shrugged, "You would always run home to mother and father if you thought I was crossing a boundary. Silly Lilien...spoiling all my...adventures is it? Don't you remember?"

Lilien smirked, "I do hope the resurgence of that memory did not create a rift between us."

The farseer laughed again, "Oh now I was just making a correlation...a guess perhaps. Now the tables have turned with age, the young ones are becoming more eager which each day they awaken. You and Skrekrea are opposite one another when you were the same again."

Lilien raised her eyebrows.

Elohiem sighed, "Alright. A guess. As you said, I reserve most of myself for my more private duties...as you are well aware."

"All too well brother. All too well." Lilien sighed, and was surprised when Elohiem stopped them both. They had come to stand in the middle of a stone pathway that led in front and behind them. There was not another Eldar in sight.

He spoke, "I don't need to hold any title to know that you are disappointed in me."

Lilien was taken aback, "What manner forces you to say that?"

"Our link as brother and sister of course." Elohiem replied stoically and let go of her hand for a moment, turning around to face the trees glowing with artificial light. He shook his head.

"You remember those series of events just as well as I do...don't you?" he said, not turning around.

The bonesinger scrunched her face in confusion for a moment, "What are you talking..." her voice trailed off when her memories made a resurgence, and she looked away from her brother.

Elohiem admitted, "The path of the seer was never something I intended to travel much less become engrossed by it. I wanted to be like you, to be able to play my music whenever and however I wanted. I wanted to create not destroy. I wanted to simply live and not foresee."

"I may have looked like I had my priorities set when we were together as children, but it was far from the truth my dear sister." Elohiem turned around to see his sister had turned her back on him.

He sighed, "When the human seer rescued us from the clutches of-"

"Don't speak that word." Lilien suddenly snapped.

Elohiem narrowed his eyes, "Human?"

Lilien was silent.

The farseer's face formed a mischievous smirk, "Human? Mon'keigh? You would be so disgusted by a word that you would turn your back on the past?"

His sister replied coolly, "Perhaps your runes have covered up what you do not wish to see. Those...animals murdered mother and father." she turned around to face her brother, undaunted by his presence, "You know this. You and I. Feel it more than any of us."

"I feel your pain because you allow me to. We are brother and sister. Linked by blood and through the nature of our ancestors running through the Craftworld. You would think that I would forget who took our parents from us? You would think that I would forget that so easily?" Elohiem's voice suddenly rose to a snap, causing Lilien to widen her eyes.

When Elohiem realized what he had done, he took a step back, "Allow me to say why I understand that you are disappointed in me free of interruption." he said. Lilien obliged by leaning looking down.

"A single human seer has brought us to this very moment. This I know for the paths from past to the present have told me so." Elohiem said, raising his chin, "But he is not responsible for mother and father's death any more than you and I. You know that he is the reason that they rest in the Circuit and not in the clutches of the enemy."

Lilien shuddered.

"He saved us from his own kind. Let me repeat that sister...saved us." Elohiem grasped his hands behind his back, "When the smoke cleared and the dust settled...that was when we divulged. It may not have been clear to you but it has been reinforced by my mediation and delving into time far more so than you can possibly imagine."

The bonesinger looked up and said, "I took refuge in my anger, in my pain. Into the arms of Khaine."

Elohiem nodded, "The Shrine of Righteous Asurya. I am well aware."

Lilien looked to her brother confused, "But you...to your questions...but why? Why did Khaine not turn his gaze to you? You, who says that we feel the same amount of pain."

"I rebuked him." Elohiem replied, to which Lilien widened her eyes as he continued, "It is possible. Khaine has no use for questions, which is where I retreated to." He looked up across the sky, "Why would the human save us? What would drive him to return mother and father's spirit stones? How...could this human exist...why...does he exist?"

He waved his hand, "Make no mistake, my fascination for humans is not the reason behind what drives my path, as I am obviously drawn to other matters. Do you see now however why you are disappointed in me?"

She looked up and met the eyes of her twin brother, "I was angry at you for not following me into anger. It what has caused me to be...apprehensive in your presence...to not feel as passionately about my brother as I should. Over time it has developed into..."

"Loneliness." Elohiem finished.

Lilien was still and silent.

Elohiem came forward to embrace his sister as did she, both of them hugging like they had never done before. When they broke, both of them had one palm on the other's opposite cheek.

"That is why I have arranged for this, to make up for all my past disappearances and long stays away. For now the council foresees a safe journey through the stars before we are inevitably called once again to defend ourselves. In the mean time, there is nowhere I would rather be than at your side." Elohiem said.
