Master and Student

A young man with long blonde hair tied in a ponytail and piercing blue eyes in a Jonin jacket and a short-sleeved red coat with a black flame pattern along the hemline and the Kanji for sage on the back was seen sitting atop the Hokage tower in Konoha with his back against the Yondaime's head. Watching all the citizens of Konoha pass by, however instead of being happy and carefree a fog of sorrow and depression seemed to fill the air, however with His golden sage eyes Naruto was able to see that the rays of hope and happiness could be seen slowly piercing through the thick fog of sorrow and depression.

For the first time in many days Naruto had finally gotten a chance to be alone with his thoughts, ever since coming back Naruto's time had been consumed in various meetings and patrols that were taking place within the Village. Naruto took a deep breath of fresh air and smiled at the rising sun before getting up from his place and jumping down from the Hokage tower to start his day

Elsewhere

Konohamaru was anxiously pacing back and forth around training ground 7 in full Chunin uniform, for the first time in a long time Konohamaru was actually nervous and scared. The last time he remembered being this nervous and scared was when Auntie Kurenai was teaching him how to hold baby Zuko for the first time. Konohamaru not for the first time in three days had debated whether what he was about to do was a good idea; unfortunately Konohamaru had no more time to mull it over as he stopped in his tracks.

He had just gotten the memories from his shadow clone that he had just sent to Moegi's house to ask her to meet him at the training ground because he wanted to speak to her about something. Unfortunately his timing was off, much like his master Konohamaru had decided against the obvious and decided to do things his way.

So instead of going to her house and knocking on the front door, he had chosen for the ninja way, by climbing up the oak tree next to her bedroom window and knocking on the window sill, unfortunately he had chosen a very inopportune moment to do so because she had only just gotten out of bed, wearing nothing but a large nightshirt and a pair of cotton panties neither of which did anything to hide Moegi's maturing teenage figure.

Upon seeing Konohamaru at her window, Moegi quickly realized her state of dress and was trying to cover herself with her bed sheet while her face blushing ruby-red. Konohamaru on the other hand had almost fallen out of the tree when he saw Moegi's state of dress but barely managed to hold on to the branch lest he fall and disappear without having given Moegi his message. Thankfully Moegi did not seem mad but only embarrassed as she quickly put on her clothes and opened the window to let her teammate in.

Konohamaru jumped inside her bedroom immediately and surveyed his team-mate's room, it was the first time he had been inside Moegi's room in a very long time, and unfortunately the vision of heaven he had seen a few minutes back combined with him in Moegi's room caused his teenage brain to go into overdrive.

Moegi was slowly losing her patience with Konohamaru and was very close to harming her friend; "I would highly recommend you Konohamaru-kun to stop your perverted thoughts that are no doubt running through your brain and tell me what has caused you to send a shadow clone to my house at the crack of dawn and disturb me from my sleep on my day off?"

Konohamaru smiled widely and rubbing the back of his head in a true Naruto fashion said "ah, gomen Moegi-chan, how do you always know the difference between the real me and the shadow clone?"

Moegi smiled a sad smile before saying "I know you inside out Konohamaru-kun, you are my best friend and I know what you're thinking even before its crossed your mind, for example I know exactly what perverted thoughts are running through that Hentai brain of yours, now before I lose my patience and physically harm you, I suggest you give me the message you came here to deliver."

Konohamaru's expression changed as he caught Moegi's tone when she used the word friend, and the sad smile which she had on her beautiful face. Konohamaru smiled and said "it never was and never will be my intention to hurt you Moegi-chan, you mean a lot to me and I want to talk to you about something I have thought about so I want you to meet me at Training Ground 7 in 30 Minutes."

Moegi's expression was blank but her heart and stomach was a flutter as she tried to calm the different scenarios in her head. "What is so important that you have to tell me at 6 a.m. in the morning Konohamaru-kun and why must I meet you at the training ground? If this is one of your pranks I am not in the mood for it Konohamaru-kun I had a hard day at training with Kurenai sensei yesterday and I want to rest."

Konohamaru put on a serious face and said "I won't force you if you don't want to come Moegi-chan, but I will wait for you nonetheless, If you don't show up by noon then I swear on the Sarutobi Name that I will never disturb you again and will simply consider you a prize forever lost and..."

Before he could Complete his statement he was met by a Single statement saying "I'll be there in an hour, now get lost and let me get ready." Moegi told her oldest friend and before he could respond Moegi banished the Shadow Clone into oblivion with a roundhouse kick.

Meanwhile at Ichiraku Ramen

Naruto was sitting at his favourite table a Ichiraku Ramen, but this time he wasn't here to have bowl of Ramen he was here to discuss a business proposal. Unfortunately Teuchi was making this very difficult.

I refuse to accept your offer Naruto-Kun, your offer is too high, what will I do with all that money? I am a simple man of simple needs, my shop is still standing, and it just needs a little work and it will be as good as new." Teuchi said.

Ayame looked at her father sympathetically and said "Tou-san, wont you at least listen to Naruto-kun's proposal, I agree it might be a lot of money, but just think of what we can do with all that money; we can expand the business and get a bigger house. Naruto Kun has our best interests at heart and he wants you to live a comfortable and happy life."

Naruto piped in and said "Ayame-chan is correct Teuchi-san; I am not just giving away this money to you. I want to help make Ichiraku Ramen more than a small Ramen Tuck shop in the village corner. Teuchi you and Ayame chan helped me all those years ago when I needed a friend. Now it's my turn to return the favour. There are three famous restaurants in Konoha, Yankiku Barbeque, Akio Dango and least but not least Ichiraku Ramen. I want to make Ichiraku Ramen the biggest and best restaurant in Konoha."

Teuchi sighed and said "heh, you always speak your mind Naruto, that is one of the many things I like about you, fine if nothing else you have been a loyal customer and I owe you at least that much, hand over the contract let me read it."

Naruto had a big smile on his face and handed it to Teuchi silently, who had put on his reading glasses for the occasion. As he read the contract with a blank face, Naruto started a conversation with Ayame.

"So Ayame-chan, I heard you got engaged to Kohaku Koga son and heir to the Yankiku Barbeque restaurant. I am happy to see the guy finally got the guts to finally propose to you. I forgot what does he do for a living again?"

Ayame blushed crimson and said "yes, well he wasn't exactly the most obvious ladies man, in fact quite the opposite; he is very shy and very clumsy when he tried to get me to go out with him. But despite all those things I saw honesty and respect in his eyes when he asked me to go with him on a date.

It was those eyes that attracted me to him, although he might not be as handsome as Neji or Sasuke or even some other men, he had a simple heart and honest eyes. In many ways he resembles you Naruto-kun.

A watch and jewellery maker by profession, he will make a fine husband for me and I look forward to keeping him happy." Ayame said with a twinkle in her eye and a naughty grin on her charming face.

Teuchi groaned in exasperation and said "Oh please Ayame-chan won't you spare your old father the details. I am already distraught at having to give you away to a foreign man, why must you make it worst by planting horrific images in my head of what that man will do to my sweet and innocent baby girl."

Naruto grinned and said "She is no longer a girl Teuchi-san; she is young Woman now and is capable of making her own decisions. However if it will make you feel better I can create a shadow clone and have Kurama chat with him and explain to him the consequences of making my sister unhappy. I assure you Kurama can be very persuasive when he wants to."

Ayame-chan put her hands on her hips and said "Naruto-kun I swear to you, that if you even try to threaten my future husband you will live to regret it, you will be forever be banned from Ichiraku Ramen shop and I will never speak to you again!"

Naruto's eyes twinkled with mischief as he spoke "Ok, fine you have my word Ayame-chan that I will personally never ever threaten your future Husband is that enough for you?"

Ayame looked at Naruto with Mock anger and said "No, that is not enough for me Naruto-kun, you did not promise me what I asked, you only promised not to threaten him personally, I want you to promise me that Neither will you threaten him and neither will you inspire or ask anybody to threaten Kohaku-kun on your behalf."

Naruto visibly deflated before laughing heartily before replying "Ha-ha, it seems I can't hide anything from you Ayame-chan, you saw underneath the underneath. Fine I give you my word that until He keeps you happy and safe I will not threaten or harm him, however if ever he brings tears of sorrow to your face, then Kurama and I will be having a word with him and we won't be in the best of moods." Ayame smiled and kissing him on the cheek said "don't you have other things to worry about besides me. Besides aren't you forgetting that I am a black belt in Taekwondo? I know how to protect myself."

Naruto smirked and said; "I have never forgotten about your skills in said Martial art Ayame-chan, so then what do you want for your wedding gift? I am not foolish enough to offer to pay for your wedding, that right belongs only to Teuchi-san. I know; how about I offer to pay for your Honeymoon. If you want I can personally speak to Koyuki Kazahana A.K.A Princess Gale about hosting you guys at her mansion in the land of Spring. Either way she will be coming to Konoha to discuss a few things of a political nature with the Hokage. I know you're still a great fan of hers so why don't I arrange it for you?"

Ayame smiled and said "You don't have to do that for me Naruto-kun, your affection for me and you helping my father with his restaurant are enough for me. However if you really want to do something for me….

Naruto interrupted her and said "Ask for it Ayame-chan and it will be yours, nothing at all is impossible, Besides now that I have all this money sitting in my bank a/c I might as well use it, by investing in something worthwhile. Especially if my plans for the future are to come to any good, so tell me Ayame-chan how can this humble brother of yours help you?"

Before Ayame could speak Teuchi spoke; "Well Naruto-kun I must say that you are being overly generous. The amount which you are quoting in this contract for 50% shares of Ichiraku Ramen is 5 times more than what my whole business is worth!"

Naruto laughed and said "I am afraid you are mistaken Teuchi-san the amount that is quoted in the contract is the Current amount of your complete Business, i.e. the amount stated in the contract is the amount it would cost to buy 100% of the shares of Ichiraku Ramen, so I am only paying you double."

Teuchi looked at the contract and said "it says here that you intend to leave the day to day activities to me and Ayame-chan on the condition that we both come up with at least 2 different Ramen recipes per month, and that you want to be the first taste tester of these Ramen recipes correct?"

Naruto smiled and said "that is correct Teuchi-san, I will essentially be a silent partner and will agree with the decisions that you and Ayame-chan take as Chefs for the restaurant that includes how the menu, ambiance, food, ingredients and suppliers etc. are handled. However I want to make it very clear Teuchi-san I want to expand Ichiraku Ramen and make it more than a small tuck shop in Konoha.

I have already purchased Akio Dango shop from its owner who has gone into Bankruptcy, while keeping the management and employees intact. I intend to move Ichiraku Ramen and Akio Dango from the Small tuck shops in Konoha and create a franchise that will expand to other nations and villages. This will create more business and more money for everybody involved." What he did not say was that by doing so he would also be able to expand his network of spies that he inherited from his master to a greater extent.

Teuchi smiled and said "very well Naruto-kun, I still find your offer overly Generous but I know you have my best interests at heart, and I look forward to having you as a business partner." Naruto smiled widely "Dattebayo, Teuchi-san." After the daughter and father Duo had signed on the dotted line, Naruto produced a pen from his pocket and signed his name with a flourish.

Once the Formalities were completed Naruto continued his conversation with Ayame on what help she required from him. When she told him what she wanted his eyes went wide and was about to say something when he spotted a messenger hawk flying in the sky and descending towards him. As he held out his arm for the Hawk to land on, he looked at Ayame-chan and said "I will have to do some research into it Ayame-chan, but I expect favorable results. In the meanwhile pass him a message to hang on to the offer for a few more days and I will see if I can't make him a better one."

Ayame-chan smiled and kissed him on the cheek before saying "I will pass on the message Naruto-kun, and give my regards to Hinata-chan."

Naruto grinned and rubbed the spot on his cheek where Ayame had kissed him before picking up his copy of the contract and waving to the daughter and father duo. "Ja né," With his business concluded Naruto disappeared in a shunshin of leaves as he headed towards the Hokage's office.

At the Hokage's office

Naruto arrived at Hokage tower in a matter of seconds and was ushered in by Shizune and was surprised to see that Hinata was sitting across the Hokage. Tsunade welcomed Naruto inside her office and asked him to sit down. Once everybody was seated Tsunade spoke "This is going to be a short Meeting Naruto-kun, I am sure you have figured out why you both are here." When she saw the two shinobi nod their heads, she continued "after discussing your proposition with Kakashi, Gai and Kurenai, I have decided to grant your request to form your own clan. "

Naruto and Hinata smiled at each other upon hearing this announcement but stayed silent and allowed the Hokage to have her say. The couple then discussed the different aspects of their plan with hokage and what exactly they wanted and how they would achieve it. With Hinata usually doing all the talking and Naruto only adding his two cents now and then.

Meanwhile at Training ground 7

Konohamaru had summoned Koenma to keep him company while he had a couple of shadow clones spread out around the training ground to keep a look out for Moegi. Koenma ever the steadfast friend tried to allay the fears of his panicking comrade. "Relax Hamaru, no need to be so uptight, she will show up and everything will be fine. Besides what is not to like about you; you're the heir to a powerful clan, your skills in the shinobi arts are excellent for someone your age. You are the student of the famous Nisei Naruto Namikaze. Need I go on?

Konohamaru had a look of pure terror on his face as he spoke "Moegi-chan doesn't care about all that stuff Koenma, in fact she hates it when people pat their own backs. Besides I want to convince her to be my girlfriend and not choose me for a mission." Koenma just shrugged his shoulders and gave a noncommittal grunt.

Suddenly Konohamaru looked up the deep groove he had worn in the earth by pacing back and forth in nervousness and said "She will be here in a moment, she just entered the training ground, quick Koenma get out of sight and help my clones activate the barrier jutsu that Udon set up for us."

Just as Koenma had disappeared out of sight Konohamaru saw Moegi coming out of the clearing. Although she seemed physically tired from the stress and intensity of training with Kurenai sensei but despite all that the sight of Moegi still caused the young Sarutobi's heart and stomach to do back flips. So engrossed was Konohamaru in the thoughts of his beautiful teammate that he almost failed to see her stop and stand in front of him.

Moegi saw a wild and stormy look in Konohamaru's eyes and was almost scared; however she calmed herself and took a deep breath before speaking "well Konohamaru-kun I am here just as you asked, now what is so important that you have to summon a group of shadow clones and Koenma to activate one of Udon's barriers?

Konohamaru smiled hesitantly and said "yeah, um sorry about that I just wanted some privacy while I was speaking to you. You see the thing is I um…; ah what I wanted to say was that…. And if you don't you know…. then I totally understand and we can forget this ever happened…. It's just that am leaving in a few days and I didn't want this to be unsaid and….."

Moegi walked up to him slowly until she was directly in front of him and said softly "tell me what you want to say Konohamaru-kun I won't be mad, I promise. Just tell me what you have to say I promise to hear you out."

Konohamaru took a deep breath and tried to steady his heart beat, before speaking; "You see the thing is that we have been best of friends for so many years and I really appreciate our friendship but recently I have seen you as something more as a friend and….

Moegi smiled and was jumping for joy inwardly as she realized what Konohamaru was trying to say to her but she kept a blank face enjoying the uncomfortable and nervous feeling he was in, but she also knew that if she left it up to him Konohamaru would keep stammering until the end of days. So she decided to help him along.

She slapped him across the face and said "Konohamaru-kun please speak your mind and tell me what you have to say in the next five seconds or else I am leaving."

Konohamaru's eyes went wide and he started stammering even more, Moegi rolled her eyes and turned to leave when Konohamaru said "Fuck it, time to go for the direct approach and let the chips fall where they may," and grabbing his best friends arm in his hands he turned her towards himself, and without allowing her a chance to even say anything he did the only thing he thought logical, He held her in his arms and bringing her chin towards his own he kissed her full on the lips.

For a full 3 seconds Moegi was lost in the bliss of the kiss that Konohamaru had planted on her lips before she remembered to return the kiss, and for almost a full minute the two teenagers were lost in each others arms before their bodies started reminding them painfully of the fact that they needed oxygen to breathe.

Finally the two teenagers parted their lips to catch their breaths both panting hard as they had just run a marathon. "Damn, that was better than I thought it would be Moegi-chan, for a minute I thought you would actually pulverise me when I kissed you."

Moegi blushed red before laughing softly before replying "why would I do that Kono-kun I enjoyed it as much as you besides I have wanted to kiss you for Kami knows how long, but I will admit even I was surprised when you grabbed my hand and kissed me so forcefully.

Konohamaru rubbed the back of his head in a true Naruto like fashion and said "yeah, sorry about that Moegi-chan, you have no idea how nervous I was about this particular meeting, I was so nervous of making it sound good I actually asked Auntie Kurenai and Shikamaru sensei about it.

Auntie Kurenai told me that I should tell you how I feel in the most clearest possible way and try and understand that I should not just act like an idiot and I should express myself, she was the one who suggested I should ask you to meet me alone and talk things out with you."

"On the other hand Shikamaru sensei said that if taking doesn't help that I should try the direct approach and tell you how I feel in the most obvious way and be damned the consequences, although then it seemed like a risky move. The only thing I am not happy about is that I only have 2 days left before I have to leave for training."

Moegi was silent while Konohamaru spoke but now that he had finished she spoke: "Konohamaru-kun I know we have a very short time with each other with each other but I think it's a good thing."

Konohamaru opened his mouth to say something but Moegi interrupted him and said "No, Konohamaru kun let me finish, don't take it the wrong way I am absolutely elated and happy that you like me and want to have a relationship with me, I want the same thing but I don't want a relationship at the cost of my own abilities as a shinobi.

Over the past few months I was so obsessed with you that I had stopped being a shinobi and was acting like the very thing I hated: a stupid blabbering fan girl. I was so obsessed with you that I could not concentrate on my training and as a result my skills as a shinobi suffered, although thanks to Ino and Sakura sensei I was able to recover my skills in time before they faded completely.

This war has taught me something very valuable Kono-kun, if i intend to be a superb Kunoichi like Sakura, Ino, and Hinata and Tenten sensei. I cannot let anything distract me, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be in a relationship with you I do but I think it's good that you will be away for the next five years It will allow us both time to mature and improve our skills."

Konohamaru had a serious look on his face as he abosrbed teh simle statement that contained volumes of unsaid things before he spoke "yeah, I guess your right I still want to be Hokage and I want to make the Boss man proud when I beat him in Battle, not to mention I want to be as strong as I possibly can so I can protect Auntie Kurenai and Little Zuko, although she hardly needs protecting her Genjutsu is so strong that even Kakashi sensei can't break out of it and she can even match Gai sensei blow for blow in a straight out Taijutsu match."

Looking at Moegi with a he said "so I guess this is the last time we will be meeting huh? I mean I know why but I still don't like it after all I finally got you, I don't want to lose you so fast and..."

He was interrupted by a fierce and passionate kiss on the lips by Moegi, one which he eagerly returned, "stop talking Konohamaru-kun Kurenai sensei gave me the day off today and tomorrow so why don't we make the best of it."

Konohamaru smiled mischievously as his twinkled with delight as he made the hand sign to bring down the barrier and disperse his shadow clones in the distance before jumping on the nearby tree branch. "I knew there was a reason I liked you Moegi-chan your almost as crafty as me, in the words of the immortal boss man "let's get out of here I'm hungry for some ramen."

Moegi laughed heartily as she followed her Boyfriend's lead and jumped on the nearest tree branch and with the skills of a ninja put on a burst of speed and started a race with her boyfriend to their Favourite Ramen shop: Ichiraku Ramen.

A/N: I am sorry guys and gals, for the long wait between chapters, this was an extremely difficult chapter for me to write, because I had to finally face my greatest fear as I realized that this chapter finally marked the end of my beloved fanfic, not to mention that life had consumed much of my time. This is a bittersweet moment for me. This is the last normal chapter of By Executive Orders.

The next chapter will be the Epilogue which will then be the last and final chapter of this fanfic. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each person who: read, followed, favorite, reviewed, sent a pm with their views and comments about this story. Without you this story would have been impossible. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

In regards to the scene between Konohamaru and Moegi I tried to portray a certain nervousness and uncertainty into the Characters, but I'm not sure I succeeded, I will let you readers be the judge of that. So don't forget to Read and Review.
