Epilogue Part 2

One Hour later

It was approaching 7:20pm and Hinata kept looking out her room towards the front gate with her Byakugan. She was nervous like a small child going to school for the first time. The reason that Hinata was nervous was because Hiashi had invited Naruto at the Hyuuga compound at 7:30pm to discuss a marriage proposal for Hinata.

Naruto was trying to stabilize his breathing and instill confidence in himself as he walked towards the Hyuuga compound. He kept trying to smooth his wild hair and trying to figure out what to say to Hiashi-sama. He still did not understand why he couldn't just elope with Hinata-Chan and that would be the end of it but Hinata had told him that it was best to ask for her hand in marriage in a formal setting and that it would serve him well in the future.

Naruto was so lost in his thoughts that he did not even realize that he had reached the gates of the Hyuuga compound. Naruto knocked on the door and waited for the gate to open, 30 seconds later the gate to the Hyuuga compound was opened revealing None other than Hanabi and Neji Hyuuga at the gates. Naruto smiled widely at seeing his friend and student, before he could ask Neji answered it for him saying "Hinata-sama saw you in the clearing with her Byakugan and requested us to meet you at the door."

Hanabi had a wide smile on her face as she squealed happily, "this is so romantic, Onee-chan is finally going to get married to the prince of her dreams." Naruto smiled kindly at Hanabi's childlike behavior. Despite her outwardly harsh behavior she was still a teenage girl who was in love with everything romantic. Naruto smiled as he ruffled her hair and said "I don't know about the prince part chibi but yeah I am in love with Hinata-Chan and I am willing to do whatever it takes to win her hand in marriage. Even If it means attending a stuffy ass meeting."

Neji smiled softly before replying "Naruto, This is the true test for you my friend to see if you are truly ready to be Hokage can you sit through a meeting with the Hyuuga clan and not only not fall asleep but also follow the small nuances and political plots that each member of the assembly is trying to create."

Naruto laughed and said "I think Kiba has a word for people like them doesn't he chibi? What does he call them again?"

Hanabi laughed and said "Rear Echelon Mother Fucker or REMF for short. One who has no or limited frontline or combat experience, and makes huge errors at the cost of human life. The REMF's decisions make sense only if you think of human beings as statistics. This is the main problem with REMFs- they think of people as numbers."

Neji's pearl eyes widened as he heard Hanabi use those words, "Hanabi-sama, you must not use such crude words it does not suit a lady of your stature of your age to use such crude words."

Hanabi just grinned and said "Oh relax Neji-nii san, must you always be such a stick in the mud, father has already announced that the Branch and Main family's will be more closer what with preparation being made to remove the Caged Bird Seal from the members of the branch family, and if Father's strategy plays out I might end up calling you Neji-sama H…"

Before Hanabi could finish her sentence Neji's eyes flashed angrily and said "SILENCE Hanabi-sama, you know better than to speak without thinking! Clan matters are not to be discussed so callously in the open!"

Hanabi's voice was small and humble as she spoke "I'm sorry nii-san I was just so excited and it just…"

Naruto smiled and said "Hey listen to your big brother chibi he knows what he is talking about, he is not trying to make you feel bad he just wants you to learn from your mistakes ok?"

After seeing Hanabi dry her tears and nod her head with a smile Naruto looked at Neji and said "Now then Genius let's get this show on the road and get me married to my Hinata-hime shall we. I have things to do and a Hinata hime to ravish."

Neji just sighed hopelessly as Hanabi giggled at Naruto's statement. As the three

Shinobi walked up the passage way, Neji changed places with Hanabi so that he was walking next to Naruto. Naruto noticed the sudden change but made no outward reactions except to raise an eyebrow in interest. Neji spoke softly so that only Naruto could hear him and said "be careful when you go in there Naruto, just because the Elders are dead does not mean their well-wishers are as well. Be very careful when you choose your words and keep your temper in check. I suggest you be aware of your surroundings, be honest and upfront about what you say, when dealing with the Hyuuga clan it is best to be subtle. However don't volunteer any information, and for Kami's sake don't use the word Dattebayo."

Naruto chuckled softly and nodded his head "you got it, Genius play the straight arrow and keep a track of the ripples of political bullshit flying around but don't let it get out of control or touch me, any other advice future brother in law of mine?" Naruto asked grinning as he saw Neji's reaction when he saw the orange pigmentations around his eyes and with a yellow toad-like iris indicating that Naruto was in Sage Mode."

A few minutes later

Neji entered the Assembly hall in the North wing of the Hyuuga wing where 5 seats and a small table was stationed in the middle. Hiashi stood at the head of the table while Ko Hyuuga and Neji sat on either side of him. On the opposite side of Hiashi sat a middle-aged man with a blank face.

As Naruto's eyes took in his surroundings, his mind worked at warp speed to understand what was happening, as far as he could understand the four Hyuuga members were there to decide on his marriage proposal to Hinata. It seemed logical and clear cut, two members of the Branch Family and two members from the Main family.

Calling on what he knew about each member Naruto realized that while Hiashi and Neji were more than happy to accept his proposal for Hinata. He knew that Ko Hyuuga was a Neutral party, therefore by process of elimination it meant that the old man sitting opposite Hiashi was highly against the proposal.

Naruto realized with an internal grin that to win Hinata's hand in marriage he would have to have a majority of votes in his favor, excellent that meant that he would have to convince them of his worth, it would be an extremely difficult challenge; excellent, he loved challenges. As Naruto entered the room and sat at the table, he greeted everyone and smiled warmly his blue eyes twinkling.

5 minutes later

After the formalities had been taken care of, it was time to get on to the main topic. Hiashi spoke first and said "Namikaze-san, in order for my comrades and me to decide whether you are a good match for my daughter we would like to ask you a few questions."

Once Naruto had nodded his head in acceptance Hiashi said "please tell us a bit about your self Namikaze-san, what is your lineage and what is the name of the person you call master? We are interested to hear what you have to say."

Naruto smiled and said "Hiashi-san, I am nobody important, I am a simple shinobi with a simple goal. I wish to protect my village to the best of my ability, I am a man who believes not in Lineage but in hard work. Lineage to me is not as important as to what a man can accomplish if he puts his mind to it. I hail from one of the oldest clan's in history, it was with the help of my clan that the Village known as Konohagakure was formed."

My clan was extremely skilled in the use of Fūinjutsu. The name of my honored clan was The Uzumaki clan. Hashirama Senju the first Hokage married my Great Grand Aunt Mito Uzumaki who later became known as Mito Hashirama and was renowned for her chakra sensing skills. Her Great Niece and my mother Kushina Uzumaki in later life married a common man named Minato Namikaze, who through his valour and skill, was given the Moniker of The Yellow flash and later the title of Yondaime Hokage."

"The deeds of my ancestors speak for themselves for they were masters to many of today's finest shinobi, however as you wish to know about me I shall tell you about myself. As a young child I was labeled as a pariah and an orphan because I held the Strongest Demon in existence within me: The Nine Tailed Fox. However despite this I have only ever held one goal in my heart to serve this village as its Hokage.

During my tenure as a Shinobi I have mastered many jutsu and defeated many an enemy and opponents. The first of many being a man named as a prodigy and a Genius in the Gentle Fist style: Neji Hyuuga, and yet he is a man whom I still deeply respect today and am honored to call him a comrade in arms, however if I am successful in my attempt today I will be even more honored to call him my brother in right."

Naruto took a deep breath and drank some water before continuing, he then looked at Hiashi before speaking Hiashi-sama you asked me a very difficult question, who is my master what is his name? I am afraid Hiashi-sama that I cannot answer that question, for there is no answer to such a question."

Hitachi the man opposite Hiashi sneered before speaking "Namikaze-san, are you so proud a man that you believe no man to be worthy of the title of master, it seems your recent victory in battle has caused you to become prideful if you believe men better and older than you in both experience and ability are undeserving of the title of master, It is obvious by your answer that despite your so called lineage and ancestry you are nothing more than a street rat and an orphan."

"Hitachi you might be my cousin and advisor, however it would behoove you to still your tongue, lest you pay for it dearly!"

However before Hitachi could speak another word or before Hiashi could even touch him, Naruto raised his hand for silence. Hiashi looked at Naruto and saw Naruto's normal blue eyes were replaced with orange pigmentations around his eyes and with a yellow toad-like iris indicating that Naruto was in Sage mode. "Thank you for your words Hiashi-san, however what this man says is true, that despite my ancestry I am still an Orphan. However who knows the value of a Family better than an Orphan, who understand and appreciates a grain of rice more than a hungry man."

He then turned towards Hiashi and with a smile, "Hiashi-sama if you will forgive me I am still recovering from the wounds received from battling Kabuto, thus to steady my chakra and mind, I have accessed Honored Sage Mode, it helps me calm my turbulent chakra."

Hiashi smiled and nodded his head ""Of course Namikaze-san, I completely understand; defeating an opponent such as Kabuto Yakushi must have taxed even your abilities, by all means if it will help you heal faster."

Neji hid a small smile as he realized what Naruto and Hiashi had just done, by telling Hiashi he was not yet healed and had accessed Sage mode to help balance his chakra, Naruto had within a few seconds many times magnified his strength, agility and reflexes.

His uncle was also a superb politician, he had shown his support towards Naruto's wedding proposal, thereby influencing Ko Hyuuga's neutral vote to a certain extent, and therefore boxing in Hitachi completely.

By Naruto's small wink and nod in his direction he realized that Naruto had purposely spoken this way to bait Hitachi into insulting him so that he could use Sage Mode, and seeing as Naruto had accessed it within a matter of seconds it meant that he already had a shadow clone nearby gathering Natural energy. Neji was amazed at Naruto's ploy and decided that his future brother in law's former profession as a prankster had served him well in hindsight.

While Neji was amazed at Naruto's ability to manipulate events, he realized that Naruto had not yet finished, "Hiashi-sama you asked me what was the name of my master. The reason I cannot answer that question is because to answer that question is equal to answering the question of how many drops of water make up the ocean or how many stars are there in the sky."

Ko-Hyuuga spoke for the first time and said "Namikaze-san while your answer is true in a philosophical sense, we wish to know in a practical sense. Surely there must be at least one man who you would call master?"

Naruto smiled and said "Apologies Ko-san, you are absolutely correct, The name of my master is none other than the Toad Sanin Jiraiya, for he was in the truest sense of the word my master he taught me many things and is mainly the reason I am who I am today."

Ko Hyuuga nodded his head and fell silent. It was Neji who asked the next question "Namikaze-san, there are few in this Village who would dispute that you are one of the most powerful shinobi in our Village, however power is not the only thing that matters, while I am aware of the Apartment Complex that you own, and while it may be a suitable place for a bachelor do you believe it to be a suitable place for you to begin a married life?"

Naruto grinned in response and said "Of course not Neji-san, it is for that very reason that I have completely renovated The Namikaze Mansion, and upon my Marriage to Hinata-chan. I shall move into the 1000 sq. meter house, additionally I have also purchased the surrounding 25 acres of land around the mansion." He then looked at Hiashi and said "as per our agreement I have done all this with my money and did not use a single penny from the inheritance that I received from my Parents and Master."

Hiashi nodded his head and said "Very well done Namikaze-san, I am happy to see that you succeeded in your efforts. As for your Second condition although your Genin did not receive the rank of Chunin via the Chunin exams and much like yourself received a battlefield promotion. However if I recall the exact medium through which they were to be promote to Chunin was not discussed therefore I believe the second condition to be fulfilled as well, if albeit in an odd and indirect manner. Which I believe is something that could be said for your shinobi career as well couldn't it?"

Naruto simply smiled and nodded his head in agreement. He then looked at Hitachi with his golden Sage Eyes when he saw him open his mouth to speak. This time however his voice and tone were more subdued and respectful. Although the sneer and disrespect could be heard despite his so called respectful tone.

"Namikaze-san I have another question: kami forbid that there should come a time in the future that you will no longer be able to pursue a Career as a Shinobi, how will you earn Money and provide for the daughter of the Hyuuga clan?"

Naruto smiled and said "I am happy you asked me that question Hitachi-san, I have given much thought to this, and therefore I have made several investments recently.

I have recently purchased Konoha Dango shop and entered into a partnership with Ichiraku Ramen to not only expand the business, I am also looking into possibilities of turning it into a franchise. I have also purchased and taken over Konoha Dango shop and Yankiku Barbeque restaurants, from their respective owners while keeping the current Management in place. I have plans to start a franchise with them as well. Additionally I have spoken to Koyuki Kazahana the Daimyo of The Land of Spring and have reached an agreement with her to help create a chain of Hotels that will bring more tourists to the Land of Spring."

Hitachi interrupted and said "what else can one expect from an uneducated fool who has nothing going for him except the occasional shower of luck on him except to make frivolous business investments such restaurants and Hotels."

Hitachi then turned towards Hiashi and said "This only reaffirms my belief Hiashi-sama that this boy is unfit for the Hand of Hinata-sama. In fact my son Hideo would be a better match for one as beautiful as Hinata-sama. His Byakugan is strong and…."

Before he could say anything else He suddenly noticed some movement form behind him, but before he could even react, his body had suddenly become paralyzed and he was unable to speak, thanks to a large seal being applied at the base and end of his spine. Hiashi looked on smugly and with a smile said in a condescending tone "I told you not to underestimate him Hitachi, you refused to listen to me. I told you not to insult him Hitachi you refused to listen to me."

"Now I think it is time that you suffered the consequences. You want me to wed my dear daughter to your son Hideo, for what reason so that can gain more political power within the clan. Well I am sorry Hitachi that is not your decision to make." Ignoring Hitachi's venomous glare he turned to Naruto and with the interest of someone perusing a restaurant menu said "Ah thank you Namikaze-sama for shutting him up I am afraid his voice had started to grate on my ears."

Neji was trying his hardest not to laugh out loud at his uncle's lax attitude, while Ko Hyuuga had a small smile on his lips. He was very familiar with Hitachi's attitude, because of his status as a Main Branch member he considered himself as royalty and believed himself to be always right, he had been one of the main reasons many of the Branch Family members were not able to pursue other areas of the shinobi trade and were also unable to reach the rank of full rank Jonin, and had to be content in attaining the rank of Tokubestu Jonin. He was happy to see Hitachi Hyuuga get his just deserts.

Ko Hyuuga then spoke "Namikaze-san, No one in this room can fault you for the actions you took against Hitachi-san, for a person can only take so much insults before the dam of his patience breaks. However I am interested in the seal that you have used. I am by no means in any way familiar with the complex science of Fūinjutsu, however from what I can see with the naked eye it seems to be a very complex seal."

Naruto smiled and said "You are correct Ko-san, this seal is a six sided hexagon seal, and is one of my creation after studying both the silencing seal as well as studying the effects of the Paralyzing seal. Why don't you use your Byakugan Ko-san, I believe you will understand the effects better after using your superb vision."

Ko nodded his head and looked at Hiashi for permission. Hiashi nodded his head and smiled before saying "Go ahead Ko-san, satisfy your curiosity and tell me what you see, I am also curious to know the effects of the seal."

Ko Hyuuga activated his Byakugan and with his x-ray vision and saw that that the seal was indeed very complex. The seal used the chakra of the victim itself to sustain itself and it not only paralyzed the victim, but also heavily drained his chakra and causing the heart to pump harder and faster. By the rate that Hitachi's heart was pumping if Naruto did not release the seal on Hitachi, the old man would be dead in 34 minutes. Once he finished analyzing the seal he relayed the same information back to the others he noticed with a smug smile at the horror in Hitachi's eyes.

Hiashi spoke "please release the seal Namikaze-san, I believe Hitachi has learnt his lesson, have you not Hitachi? This is what happens when you challenge someone who is more deadly and skilled ion the arts of killing than you Hitachi." With disgust in his voice Hiashi continued and said "you have disgraced me in front of my honored guest Hitachi, therefore You have lost your right to speak in this forum, for the rest of the meeting you shall stay silent and if you dare open your mouth except to breathe air I shall personally see to it that you never speak again. Have I made myself clear, Hitachi?"

Hiashi smiled and gestured for Naruto to continue once Hitachi had nodded his head in acceptance, "Please continue Namikaze-san like many others my daughter Hanabi is also a fan of Princess Gale, and thanks to my dear daughter I am intimately aware of everything Princess Gale related including her favorite hair style and lipstick."

Naruto grinned cheekily and continued "As I was saying the reason I have decided to make a Chain of luxury Hotels in the Land of Spring is because not only is the scenery lovely and the potential profits are exponential, it is because Koyuki Kazahana the Daimyo of The Land of Spring and I have reached an agreement that when she is shooting her movies and be going on Offshore political visits, the security arrangements shall be handled by the leaf village at very attractive rates, in exchange she wants Konoha and me specifically to help build a chain of Hotels in the Land of springs to increase local revenue." What Naruto did not tell them was that The Hokage and The Daimyo of the Land of Spring had only invested 20% each of the funds and that he had invested 60% of the funds. Which meant that he was Majority Owner."

"I have recently made two more acquisitions I have entered into a friendship with the Hanzo clan, and thanks to that friendship, I can help them resolve their land argument issues with one of their neighboring clans without bloodshed."

"As you know the Hatori Hanzo clan are a group of skilled Samurai who excel in the arts of creating and Wielding a Samurai sword in addition to every other deadly instrument made for killing. The Hanzo clan and Kousaka clan were rivals and neighboring clans who always argued about land and superiority in fighting techniques because like the Hanzo clan they were also masters at crafting and wielding weapons."

Hiashi was shocked at Naruto's statement, when Naruto had made his intent clear on forming his own clan. Hiashi believed that Naruto would be starting from scratch and did not believe that Naruto would be able to complete the preparations to create his own clan within a short time period of 5 years, however listening to Naruto talk about his investments and alliances. Hiashi realized that Naruto had already made the preparations and once The Hokage had approved his request he had immediately set his plans in motion.

"Pray tell Namikaze-san, how you managed such a feat and that too with clans as powerful and vicious as The Hatori Hanzo and Kagerou Kousaka clan?" Even we of the Hyuuga clan have heard of their skill and ferocity in battle." Ko asked not able to keep the amazement out of his voice.

Naruto grinned cheekily and said "Well Ko-san, that is a long story for another time in another less formal setting however the short version is that many years back during my travels with my master Jiraiya, I stayed with them for a few weeks, My master Jiraiya was a respected figure by both clans and as such they often called upon him to intervene on their behalf to avoid full-out war.

Anyway after the death of my master as a sign of friendship and respect, they gave me his place and recently I was called upon to create a permanent solution. So after much arguments and meetings I finally came upon a solution."

"The solution was that the daughter of the Kousaka clan: Shigure Kousaka and the son of The Hanzo clan: Akisame Hanzo should be wed in holy matrimony to join the two clans. Although both clans were first against it. They finally warmed up to the idea, and agreed to my suggestion, however one of the major issues was the dividing of the clan and despite many attempts they were unable to reach an agreement, so I came up with a solution: I offered to buy the land and the profits that they received from the sale would be split among the two clans equally."

"Both clans agreed to my decision, however after the sale was complete both clans were reluctant to look for a new place to settle down. I then came up with another idea after consulting the Toads of Mount Myōboku I gifted them the 3 acre land that surrounded the border of the Toad Valley. As such with the blessings of the Toad Chief, the Kousaka and Hanzo clan members have now been given the honor of being the only Humans besides myself and my master before me to know of the secret location of The Toad Valley."

Hiashi smiled as Naruto completed his story "you are indeed a wise and shrewd man Namikaze san, by situating the Kousaka and Hanzo clans near the Toad valley you have not only increased your own net worth but have greatly increased your political power outside of Konoha. Not to mention that the Toads of Mount Myōboku will be able to further better their skills in the crafting and wielding of weapons while the Kousaka and Hanzo clans have gained powerful allies, thereby increasing their Military strength and rapidly decreasing the chance of attack from outsiders. For anyone wanting to do harm to these two clans will not only have to deal with them but with the Toads of Mount Myōboku as well."

Naruto just smiled and stayed silent, while he looked at his audience as he let the exact consequences of that one action sink in. While he waited he looked at Hitachi with a challenging smile and making the hand sign for the Tiger, adjusted the seal on Hitachi which then glowed blue for a moment causing the old Hyuuga to panic even more. Naruto smiled and said "relax Hitachi san, I have simply manipulated the dormant seal to allow the seal to feed back some of the chakra it is receiving back into you, not enough for you to use for any jutsu, so I highly recommend you to not to try and knead any chakra."

Hiashi laughed loudly as he saw Hitachi's expression, "yes, I would recommend you the same thing Hitachi. Despite my personal feelings for you it would be a true shame if you died before the clan and I were able to fully benefit from your stupidity." He then looked at Naruto and said "well then Namikaze-san next question…."

Meanwhile

Hinata was so anxious and nervous about the result of the meeting, to distract herself from the pending results. Hinata had locked herself in her room and was reading over a contract that she had recently made with the land of Volcanoes. Hinata had recently had the idea to use the Obsidian rock that was formed by cooling lava as it came into contact with water. She had come across the idea when speaking with Sakura and Ino, who were discussing a recent development in Medical technology, specifically an article in a recent medical journal about obsidian being used by some surgeons for scalpel blades, as well-crafted obsidian blades have a cutting edge many times sharper than high-quality steel surgical scalpels. After discussing the topic further with them she was also informed by Ino that Obsidian was also used for ornamental purposes and as a gemstone. It presents a different appearance depending on how it was cut: in one direction it is jet black, while in another it is glistening gray.

After hearing this Hinata had decided that if she were able to purchase Obsidian rocks and contracted a skilled gemstone designer she could very well start her own jewelry line, and once her jewelry line took off she could then discuss the possibilities of creating obsidian based medical scalpels.

Hinata was not one for much fanfare and jewelry but if there was one thing that she knew that by attaching her name to a jewelry line she would meet many people with deep pockets and heavy influence in matters both economic and political. Despite his assurances that he had enough money for his ventures she refused to let him spend only his money to help build and secure the future of their family. She wanted it to be a team effort and had told him as such. It was only then that Naruto agreed to let her use her own wealth to finance this deal.

Hinata was interrupted from her thoughts when she heard a knocking at her door, she got up to open the door and saw Hanabi standing in the doorway. "Father-sama is calling for you Hinata-nee Chan, he says you have 10 minutes to get downstairs to the study room." Hinata smiled and nodded her head as she allowed her sister into her room and with the help of her younger sister was able to quickly get ready and meet her father in his study.

10 minutes later

Hinata entered the study of her father to find Naruto and Hiashi in a deep conversation with each other, upon seeing her they both smiled and shook their hands. "I believe Hiashi-sama that we can agree to that in principle, if you have the papers drawn up in a few days I can discuss this further with my other investors and I can have an answer for you by the end of next week, however I do expect a positive response."

Hiashi smiled and nodded his head at Naruto before turning to Hinata and saying "well my dearest daughter, I have heavily interrogated this young man and satisfied all my curiosities, and although it pains me greatly to say it: You have my blessings to marry Naruto."

Hinata squealed in delight as she hugged her father tightly, tears of joy running down her cheeks. She then looked at Naruto with joyful eyes and in that moment millions of unsaid emotions and words passed through the eyes of the young couple."

Naruto laughed loudly as his Golden toad eyes became Cobalt Blue, he then picked up Hinata in his arms and swung her around in the air. "So then my beautiful Hinata-hime will you marry me?"

Hinata giggled with delight as she nodded her head "Yes, Naruto-kun I will marry you!"

As the young couple said their goodbyes and disappeared into the night in twin poofs of smoke. Hiashi smiled and shook his head before turning his head to Hitachi and said "now then Hitachi what shall I do with you?"
