Chapter 17: The Prologue to Devastation Part 2

Tsuna had awaken in dark, empty, space. He didn't feel the ground, but didn't feel like he was falling either. He tried walking around, looking for clues or someone to tell him where he was, but found no one.

After what seemed to be an eternity of walking around, Tsuna crouched down trying hard not to freak out. He tried to call Satou, Itou, and Watanabe to help him, but they never showed. So he stayed there, waiting for sleep to take him away...until a bright light flashed in-front of him.

Reborn knows something is up now. First, Tsuna was acting antsy all day, then suffers from a heart attack!? At his age? Unlikely. Secondly, he doesn't care if he was being bullied before that, with Lal therr, he shouldn't have gotten those injuries. Lastly, if what he gathered was right, the other worker that was brought in, Kano, is close to Hibari in strength, yet in that condition? From a fight with some regular delinquents? Unlikely.

Then's there's the fact that Nana, Lal, and the others that brought Tsuna were all preoccupied with something else, rather than Tsuna. When he tried to confront Lal about it, but all she said was, "They're going to get them for this Reborn, trust them." Then turned and walked away with clenched fists.

He clenched his own fists, and noticed that his student had copied his movements. Reborn knew that if was from confusion and feeling useless, rather than anger. He kept his eyes on him as he spoke, "Sorbaka, you have a mission."

To say that Kyoko was worried, was the understatement of the the whole A-class akuma thing, then Tsuna and Kano getting knocked out, and finally the call this morning with Ryohei falling down the stairs! All this practically made her believe that she was jinx.

When she entered the room, she would have sworn she saw Tsuna standing next to her Onii-chan, she even muttered in shock, "Tsuna-san!?" The boy turned to face her, and she realized that it was only Sora-chan. She was about to apologize when she saw Ryohei, her heart stopped for a second. He was covered in bandages and he looked like he at least broke his arm. Her thoughts, 'This was a really bad fall down the stairs.'

She ran to him and yelled, "Onii-chan!" Everyone looked at her as she ran to him and asked, "Did you really just get a sprain after the trip?" When she was close enough, she saw scratch marks that looked fresh around his body.

He looked up at her answered, "Yeah." It sounded safe and reassuring, she really wanted to believe it but...

"I don't believe you!" She almost screamed, "They wouldn't have you stay here if it was just a sprain." She noticed how her Onii-chan relaxed after that.

"It's a really bad sprain, Kyoko." With his tone, it really made her feel safe, so much that she started tearing up.

"But I'm so glad," she remembered everything that's been happening lately. After Tsuna explained the whole Mochida situation, it really started to make her worried for her own brother. "That your still alive." She turned so that she was facing Sora and Reborn and thanked them, "Your here to see him too, right? Thank you." It was then that her phone went off. She excused herself and answered, "Hello."

"Kyoko, it's Hana. We found where the, customer, is at. They said that they want you to come, but if you rather stay with your brother, I'll cover for you."

Kyoko smiled, "No, it's alright. I'll just feel useless here. Doing some work should do me some good. Plus that customer isn't the easiest to handle."

"...Are you sure Kyoko? I know how much you care about him."

"Yeah, I coming over. See you soon." After hanging up, she sighed. This really will be good for her.

As she started to walk away, a voice stopped her in her tracks. "Work troubles, Kyoko?" She turned to see the baby that Tsuna would tell them about sometimes. She thought, 'What his name again?' The baby caught her off guard a second time by answering, "It's Reborn."

Kyoko took a step back, it was like, "I read your mind, right?" Her face lost all it's color. This isn't happening, "But it is."

Kyoko was about to run away when Reborn asked, "You need to go right?" Kyoko calmed down slightly and gave a nod. The baby smiled, "Then let's make a deal."

Time Skip

When Kyoko finally got to 'Redemption Cake Shop' Hana was already dressed and tapping her foot impatiently. When Hana saw Kyoko looking pale she rushed over, "Kyoko what happened, and why do you look so pale?"

Kyoko gave a weak smile and answered, "I had to make a deal, sorry." Hana wasn't sure why she was sorry, and she didn't need to know. The next fight would need all of them in top shape.

Reborn wasn't exactly happy with the deal, but it should be good enough, for now, and with Leon's tail completely off, this isn't the best time to be away from Sora. Who was stupid enough to try to warn his subordinates about the oncoming dangers.

So after Gokudera shielded him from needles, Sora's resolve finally solidified. They decided to charge the enemies base in a few hours. Reborn smirked, 'This could become interesting.'

Within a throne type room, complete with a velvet red throne chair, stood three dark silhouettes of different shapes and sizes. When Lucifer and Leviathan appeared, Lucifer pointed out, "So we're only waiting for The man himself now, huh?"

Leviathan gave him a side-ways glare said, "I don't see Beelzebub here either or are you going blind you goat."

Lucifer returned the glare and asked, "Do you honestly expect to see that prideful fly here? Honestly, you should think a-bit more."

"Shut up!" the bigger and more muscular silhouette yelled. "You're annoying me with your constant bickering."

Lucifer smile grew slightly and mockingly apologized, "I'm so sorry Aba. I wouldn't want you to burn down this place with your temper."

"Why you..!" Abaddon (Aba) screamed before the thickest silhouette bear hug him, keeping him from moving.

That was when the smallest and thinnest silhouette, who was holding a beaten up doll, spoke up, "Abaddon, Leviathan stop fighting Lucifer. Lucifer, stop antagonizing Abaddon and Leviathan." The silhouette walked over to Lucifer and whispered into his ear, "I wouldn't be surprised if this meeting is about us deciding whether or not you should remain a, 'Devil' or not."

Lucifer stiffened and stopped his smiling. He walked to a wall and remained quiet. It was then that a voice echoed saying, "Good job Belial, I knew you were the right choice." Before a red portal opened over the velvet throne and a silhouette with horns gently floated down into it. "Now," the silhouette began, "Shall we begin."

Everyone in the room chorused, "Yes master Satan."

So the, 'Devils' each have a sin. *Don't worry, this is not a spoiler* can anyone guess which sin goes with each 'Devil'?

Sins: Pride, Wrath, Envy, Greed, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony

Devils: Beelzebub, Lucifer, Satan, Leviathan, Belial, Abaddon, Beherit
