Chapter 23: The Mentors

Nana left the hospital, alone. Reborn had told her that he needed to meet up with an old acquaintance of his and said that he I-pin should also come as well. She giggled at that, he sounded like an old gentleman, and allowed him to take her since she still needs to find her a mentor. So he left towards the house, probably to go get her.

When she noticed that no one was around her on her way home, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number. After a few rings, and man answered, "Hello?"

Nana smiled at being able to get through. It quickly faded as she explained, "It's me, 77." There was some noise from the other side, as she continued, "I'll need you to train up one of my members, will you do it?"

One could hear the chair slid back as he quickly answered, "Yes Miss S! When do you want me to start?"

Nana chuckled slightly, he was always overly enthusiastic. "You'll start tomorrow, I still need to tell her." *Click*

After he hung up, she called Lal, informing that she needs to train for the month. Lal understood and hung up. Nana then started to think of who to train Mochida. After extensive thinking, she came up with one answer.

She didn't want to drag him in this since he retired, but this was an emergency! So she quickly dialed the number. Not long after, a young cheerful man answered, "Welcome to TakeSushi, my I take your order?"

Nana let a small sigh out, and answered, "Yamamoto, can you put your father on?"

"Sure miss Sawada. Hey pops!" Yamamoto called out happily. After some mumbling, a more mature voice answered with, "Hello?"

She took a breath and calmly stated, "Tsuyoshi, I need your help with one of our trainees, he needs to learn how to use a knife, will you do it?" Her voice started to show her worry at the end, but she knew that he would catch it.

"How big is the situation?" Tsuyoshi asked, "It must be pretty big for you to call me up in retirement like this."

Nana debated if she should tell him or not, but decided that he should know what he's about to get into. "Devil's cake shop has challenged us, we need to prove that our workers are better."

"Alright," Tsuyoshi's voice deepened and was more serious, he remembered the code, "Send him over tomorrow, I won't be busy then." *Click*

She dialed one last number, no one picked up. So, when it told her to leave a message, she had to say, "Hana, this is to let you know that I'm going to train you for the upcoming event. I'll tell you about it with everyone tomorrow." *Click

She sighed as she opened the door to her house, this is going to be a long month, she just hopes that it's going to be long enough.

"MAMA!" Nana looked up to see a crying Lambo running towards her, "Is everyone okay?"

She smiled at this as she embraced him in a hug, and asked, "You miss them, don't you?" As she felt him nod, she remembered the days when Tsuna was sick and Sora would do the same thing when he got home. What did she tell him? Oh yeah!

"After everyone is feeling well, we'll go on a family outing! Me, you, Tsuna, Sora, and all of our friends! But you have to be on your best behavior, Alright?" Nana extended her pinky, Lambo gave another small nod as he wrapped her pinky with his and mumbled, "Promise.

Reborn and I-pin were able to find Fon at a noodle stand, making ramen. After ordering their dinner, Reborn asked, "So why did you come back here?"

The smile that Fon had on his lips faded, as he answered, "The latest group that I've been working for has told me of an organization that wields ghost or spirits to fight. I've gained knowledge that the headquarters is here, I thought that I should check to see if they were friendly or not."

Reborn gave him a curious look, unsure if he was telling the truth or not. He didn't seem to be lying, but the idea wasn't the most believable. That being said, adults being turned into infants are in the same category.

With a sigh, Reborn demanded, "If you find out if they're dangerous or not, let me know before you leave. I can't run the risk that if this type of group exists, to chance."

Fon's smile returned as he gave a nod, and informed, "That'll be 20 dollars for the meals."

Reborn raised an eyebrow and asked, "Isn't it against your policy to charge your disciples money for meals?"

Fon gave a happy nod, and answered, "It is, but you are not my student Reborn, and that's a large, Fon Special coming up to 20 dollars."

Reborn quickly asked, "What about a friends and family discount?"

Fon chuckled at this, "What do you think I am doing Reborn, I'm running a business here. So please hurry and pay up."

That was the day that Reborn changed the official cheapskate of the arcobaleno from Viper to Fon.

When all of the, 'Devils' arrived back to the palace, almost all of them went to go pick the akuma to represent them in the upcoming month, except Lucifer and Leviathan.

"Why did you call me out Lucifer?" Leviathan asked with her annoyance dripping off every word.

Lucifer kept looking around, making sure no one was around as he explained, "After this mission, I'm leaving this little group."

Leviathan raised an eyebrow but kept her composer. "Why." she demanded for the answer, "And why tell me?"

Lucifer as he answered, "I don't like how he's running the group, plain and simple. For the second part, I want you to come with me, be my second in command."
