After that rather pleasant talk with Hikaru, Izuku was walking back on the street to his apartment, while thinking things through...
"Miyamoto-san's talk did make me realize the problems I had...which is sure something I go through once I am home, I guess..." after saying that, he walked in silence for a few moments before he realized something
"Ahh! I forgot to ask about his quirk!" he spout out loud
"Although, maybe I shouldn't just ask like that, it might be rude for me to do that..." and with that he continued walking back
It was evening, by the time Izuku came home, and when he entered his a woman with alot of weight came jogging into corridor
"Izuku, you okay honey? Nothing happened to you again, right?" she said in a nervous and anxious tone
"I am fine, mom. It's just that...I wanted to think some stuff through, so I went to the park nearby my school..."
"Oh, is that so..." there was a silence, before Inko continued, "What were thinking about, then?" giving him a nervous look, as if knowing what he's been thinking
"About me being a hero, but I guess you already figured that out..."
"Ah! Sorry Izuku, but I am your mother, you know...I can't just sit around and do nothing, all while my son is in pain, like that...I feel sorry and guilty for not being able to give you quirk, so I wanted make up for it by helping in any other way..."
Izuku noticing his mother's state, quickly assured her, "It's fine mom, I was thinking things through with this old man I met in the park!" which caused Inko to stop whatever she was thinking, while putting on a questioning face, "An old man you met? Are you sure, he wasn't a suspicious person or something, I am only asking, just in case..."
"Uh-eh-ahh! Uh no! He was just someone was just there to relax in the park, I mean couldn't see anything weird or creepy about him, while talking, he seemed like a good guy"
"Yes, you gotta still be careful, though!"
"It's fine mom, I am not stupid enough to easily fall for stuff like that, you know...hehe..."
"Just be careful, though"
"Yes, I understand!"
"Good! Now, go clean yourself, food's going to be ready soon" she started walking towards the kitchen after saying that
"Kay!" he too started walking, but towards the bathroom
(silence)
"Mom?" he started again, while in the middle of the corridor
"Yes?" she turned back to him, while being near to the kitchen
"What do you feel about my dream? You know...when it comes to becoming a hero..."
Both of them stopped where they were, being followed by a silence that was cut short when Inko answered, "Izuku, I, as your mother, do feel fear about what would happen to you in a career like that, I absolutely do and please don't blame me for that, I just simply can't ever stop thinking about your wellbeing, son!"
"Mom..." Izuku had saddened expression
"But, I don't want you to be put back by me, because of those worries...I wanted you to be happier...the fact that you never manifested a quirk just made me fall into guilt about the situation, which is why I kept on not holding you back, when it came to your dream...I just hope that you stay safe, at least this mother of yours, okay dear?" she said in a kind, yet unsure tone
Midoriya wasn't able react at first, but quickly followed up her question with a, "Sure mom..." He smiled slightly, "I'll make sure to not put myself into dangerous situation as much as possible!"
"And I hope you do! Now go to the bath, it's already getting late like this!"
"Eh? uh! Understood!" he saluted and went his to the bath
As Izuku was walking towards the bathroom, Inko's expression slowly turned from a smile to frown as she thought to herself, "What a parent am I? Just a failure..." and returned to the kitchen to continue making dinner
That night while having dinner, Izuku talked fully about his chat with Hikaru earlier, except leaving aside anything related to the bullies, of course, which made Inko showed a happy face when listening, while hiding the sadness of not being the one to do it with him. Later into the night, just before bed, Izuku called his dad to talk about his career, whose answer was somewhat similar to what his mom gave. Izuku had alot of stuff to think about in his head, which caused him a headache, so he retreated to his bed to relax and sleep
It was morning now and 12 year old Izuku got ready for school and went away after bidding goodbye to his mom
"Ugh..." he groaned, "I should perhaps start the exercise schedule for later" he said, talking about a schedule he made last night, "damn, I hope I don't have to deal with the bullies again!" Izuku exclaimed
The walk to the school was a peaceful one, giving the opportunity to go over the exercise schedule and the like. But, because of that, what he didn't notice was the frowning blond that was walking just in front of, accidentally tripping near him, which in turn pushed the blonde down to the ground
""Aah!" Both of spat out, with them kissing the ground at the end
Bakugo was the first to stand up and look behind to see who dared push him like that, to see Izuku trying to stand back up, his eyes closed due to the pain and dirt
"DEKU!" Katsuki spat out, as he grabbed Izuku by the collar
"K-k-k-k-kacchan, d-did I ended up p-pushing?!"
"No shit, NERD!!"
"S-sorry for that, I really didn't mean to do that, I really, really mean it!" Izuku said in a panicked tone
"Tch, you are lucky, cause I have some stuff at school to do and have to go fast, but I swear if you do that again, I'LL KILL YOU!! DO-YOU-GET-THAT?!!"
"Y-YES!!!"
"Go fuck yourself now!" he says as he threw him to the ground and continues to the school
"sniff Stupid jerk, always doing stuff like this! sniff " Izuku still lay sitting on the ground, tearing up slightly, but eventually stood up and dusted off any dirt, to proceed to the school
At school, most of the time, Izuku minded his own business, due to not having anyone to talk to. There were only a few exchanges between him and his classmates, but like usual it's just making fun of him or hitting and throwing stuff like paper or erasers
Just end this fast already, i wanna go! Izuku thought
Time passed without anything of significance happening, except for the bullying and the occasional shouting(mostly Katsuki)
When school ended, Izuku immediately ran for it, not waiting a single moment so as to avoid any confrontations, but unfortunately for him, he bumped with someones shoulder, pushing him to the side a bit, just like the one he bumped into
"What the-look where you are going!" The unnamed student shouts, who also realizes that it's Izuku, "Ah, it's you! You dare do something like that and not apologize for it, you dumbass loser!"
"I-I am incredibly sorry for that! I will be sure to stay caref next time!" Izuku says while bowing repeated at a fast pace
"Well whatever, no point talking to you anyway..." and so he went his way
"Why does this keep on happening? First Kacchan and now this guy! Just how many am I gonna bump into like this?!" Izuku felt fustrated at the badluck, but shook it off when he remembered what he wanted to do
"Uhh...I should just go..."
Arrived home by jogging whenever possible, and changed into tracksuit to do exercises
He arrived at the park nearby the school, the same one he met the old man at, and start doing various forms of exercises such as stretches, sit ups, pull ups, etc. He kept on doing this for few ours in total, not including the breaks before ending his schedule with jogging around the park
While he was jogging, he looked around to see if Hikaru was here, but he couldn't find at first, because by the time he finished his jogging did he see Hikaru standing near the pond nearby, taking in the scenery
Izuku after seeing him, approached the man to talk to him, which is when Hikaru noticed him
"Ah! Young man, it's you" Hikaru responded with a smile after seeing him again, especially seeing him in a tracksuit while panting and sweating, "Looks like you took my words to heart"
"Ah...yeah...after properly considering and thinking, I feel more relaxed now, with my future plans somewhat laid out"
"Great to know kid! I would hope that you do get your dream to be a reality"
"Hope so..." There was silence before Izuku broke it with, "Miyamoto-san?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you mind if I ask you about your quirk? I-I-I j-just like knowing about quirks, although usually it's the heroes' quirks..."
"Uh sure, I don't mind"
"Really?!"
"Hm!" the old man nods and continues to explain his quirk, "My quirk lets me produce golden light from my hands, which has a sort of calming effect that lasts for around 5 minutes"
"I see..." Izuku answered, while writing on a notebook and pencil, that seemed to have just appeared out of nowhere
Wait, when did he get that book and pencil from?! Hikaru thought in confusion
"So, your quirk can make calming light, whose effect can last for a short time?"
"Yes, exactly"
"Your quirk sounds pretty great"
"Yes it is, I've used it alot of times now and calmed people so that nothing escalates"
"You sound heroic" Izuku said with a cheeky smile
"Oh it's really nothing, I just do that just because I can!" the old man said with a hint of pride, but remembered his tired state, "hey kid, you should go back now, considering how tired and sweaty you are..." which made Izuku realize
"Uh yeah, you are right, I should get going now!" and so he started walking back home
"Take care kid and good bye!"
"Take care and good bye to you either!" said Izuku, while waving back
Izuku kept on training for around the next 2 and half years, with him exercising for an hour in addition at times, while the exercises are getting a bit more serious. It was hard at first, but got better eventually. He also started listening to various music and songs to help with the training by hyping him up and distracting him from the stress
Over the course of that period, his body started to be more and more athletic, not something too significant or drastic, but for a middle-schooler, it's a noticeable change. In terms of socializing, he still hasn't really gained any friends, with his classmates making of fun him or bullying him, when they noticed his rather muscular body, which he was able to ignore pretty easily. When they do get violent though, he could fight back and escape usually, but he isn't as lucky when it comes to ones like Katsuki
His parents and Hikaru were pretty supportive of his development, with him meeting Hikaru once in a while. He has seen and met a few of Hikaru's family, with them being showing their thanks for all the times he has been accompanying the old man. Although, neither Inko or Hisashi(Izuku's father) ever met the man in person, due to obvious reasons.
Time passed and now Izuku was in his junior high. One thing he hasn't figured out is his dream, though...
"Alright everyone, it's time to think seriously about your future, now..." the teacher says in a serious tone...only to throw that out and replaced it with a relaxed and careless one, "oh, who am I kidding? You'll want to be heroes, don't you!" at which the entire class started cheering and raising their hands, with Izuku being nervous and only raising his with unsureness
The class happened like usual for Izuku, getting ignored or bullied, but this time it was one of the more shittier type of bullying, due to the teacher pointing out, to the entire class, especially Katsuki(intentionally or not is never known) that Izuku too is applying for heroics at UA. Katsuki and his cronies at the end of the school ganged up on him to bully him, once again, which ended with him suicide baiting Izuku, after throwing his now burnt book into the pond outside
"Idiot Kacchan...saying something like that is not anything a hero would do, like what if I actually did that! Stupid jerk..." he says as he takes his notebook away from the fishes in the pond, "Give it back, that's fish food..." he talked to the fishes
Izuku thought back to one of the times he saw All Might's debut video and then to his quirk checkup with his mom and at home again watching the same video, after the checkup, finishing with his apologizing for not being able to give him a quirk
That's not what I wanted hear back then, mom...Izuku thought
(silence)
"No! I can't be like this! I have to be more positive and laugh like how All Might always does! HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!
The sound of some kind of viscous liquid or sludge was heard, which stopped Izuku's laughter and his legs, while turning back to see what caused the sound
"A medium sized cloak, fucking wonderful!" the thing said in malice
A villain! Midoriya exclaimed in his mind, after which he tried running, keyword being tried as the villain was able to catch him faster while wrapping himself around the boy and trying to get inside his mouth
"It wouldn't take that long so stop resisting, the longer you do this, the more painful it is!" the villain said in a creepy tone, "He had to be there of all times but now, fucking hell..." he said in frustration, "But than you, your body is gonna save me, you really are my hero!" Izuku wasn't asking to be a hero this way
Am I going to die like?! Is this the end?! Mom, dad and Miyamoto-san, I'm sorry...can someone help me?! He had no mouth but he must scream was the best to describe his situation right now as he was being wrapped up and gagged really hard
Then suddenly the sounds of the manhole cover being lifted, followed by a strong stomp of the foot were heard, which caused the villain to gasp and freeze up, as booming voice went through his ears(where does he even have them?!)
"HAHAHAHAHA!! Fear not citizen...why? Because I AM HERE!!
The villain still stayed there, froze up as the giant man already prepared to fight
"TEEEXAS SMAAASSHH!!" the attack never made contact due to the distance, but the wind pressure alone ripped the villain away from the poor boy
"Ugh...ah...uh? All...Might?" was the last few words Izuki uttered before passing out
Izuku was passed out, while a large hand that pretty much belonged to All Might was slapping his cheek to wake him up
"Hey, hey, hey, he-oh!, you woke up finally! I am glad!" All might said, as Izuku started to wake from his unconscious
"Huh? who? ahh... eh?" It took a moment for Izuku to realize that it was All Might, "AAAAAHHHHHH!!!" he screamed as he backed away while still on the ground It's him, All Might! He looks more cooler up close and in flesh!!
All Might continued to laugh and monologue, while Izuku became a flustered mess at seeing his idol
This is the beginning of a great change in Midoriya Izuku's life, no scratch that! This is the beginning of the greatest change in his life, as this is...the story of how he became the greatest hero of all time...
