It was nearly night by the time Izuku came home...considering the events that unfolded before...
Damn, all of that stuff happened today, huh? Met All Might after being attacked by a villain, got my dream rejected by him, which to be honest, I kinda already was expecting deep down, the same villlain escaped because of me and captured Kacchan, All Might ended up giving me the opportunity to become his successor by wanting to give his quirk, One For All, even though all I did was just give him sometime and motivation for him to swoop in, so that he can save us both, after I doved in their like an idiot without knowing how to save Kacchan... he thought, going through everything that happened today
His thoughts were halted to a stop when he was pulled into a tight hug by his tearfilled mother, after opening the door
"IZUKU!! ARE YOU OKAY?! I SAW YOU ON THE NEWS, LIKE WHY WOULD SOMETHING SO RECKLESS?!!! DIDN'T YOU PROMISE ME TO BE SAFE?!! PLEASE STOP DOING DANGEROUS STUFF LIKE THAT, YOU MOTHER CAN'T WATCH YOU EGT HURT!!!" she said in a fearful tone
"M-mom...please let go...I-I can't b-breathe that easily..." he sure has gotten tougher, but that doesn't mean stuff like this can't make him feel displeasure and pain, even if it's not as bad as it used to be...
"Oh sorry!" she realizes her mistake, but proceeds to lecture him with a nervous tone and expression, "Still! You shouldn't do something so reckless, young man! I know you've been training and stuff, to go to UA and all, but please keep all that until you actually get in, because I can't feel the guarantee of your safety unless you are in it, already!"
"Yes, yes mom, I am really sorry for breaking my promise! But, you have to realize that Kacchan was in trouble and I can't just watch him suffer like that, while no heroes were stepping up to save him..."
"Yes I get it, Izuku, I too didn't want Katsuki do die anything because of them not trying to do anything...but! It still was a reckless thing to do! Please just don't do it until you are enrolled into UA and are good enough, just please!"
"Sorry..." Izuku could do nothing except look down in shame and guilt of making his mother feel scared
"Just don't do it again, okay?" she asked in a stern, yet much more softer tone
"I will try to..." he replied in an hesistant tone
"I hope you do...now! go wash yourself, dinner will be ready in a moment" she finished while turning to go back to her chores
"Ah mom, wait!"
"hm?" she stopped in the middle of the corridor
I got to say to her about it, about Allmight and OFA...
(Flashback)
"What you mean, young man?"
"My mom will be pretty suspicious about training with you, if I said that some random old man that just happens to see my heroic deed, took me in as a protégé, especially considering the fact that this isn't the first time some random old man thought of talking with me before and considering mom's already nervous and anxious state regarding my safety, she absolutely is going think that her son is being creeped on by old men..."
"Ugh..." Allmight didn't like think about it, but he did have a point, "Young midoriya, I don't have a problem with you saying about this secret, so long as it's not too many people, I mean I too have have some friend who know about it...but I just said that to keep both you and your friends and family to be safe, just in case, you know..."
"I know, but again I can't properly explain it to her, cause she is absolutely gonna try to watch over me to see this person is and how they act, which considering how you look in your shrunken state, no offense, she would really think that you are a weirdo or something, and that's assuming she lets me go, to begin with!"
The last statement hurt Allmight a bit, despite being a somewhat reasonable one...somewhat...
"Alright, young man, you can do that, you can tell your mother and also your father, considering he too would be suspicious, not including some other problem that night arise...but yes, I will come tomorrow early morning at around 5am to 5:30 am, to talk to your mother about everything"
"Thank you!" Izuku bowed at him to show his gratitude for all the help he's been giving him
"It's fine, young man, it's all good" said Allmight in reassurance, "Now go back home, kid! Your mom's probably worried sick, especially after what happened today!"
"Uh! You're right, I should get going now! Thank you once again for your help, I'll see you tomorrow morning and good bye!" He says as he now starts sprinting
"Yes, yes kid, good bye and take care!" Allmight waved to him as said that
(Flashback's end)
"What's wrong honey?" she asked him
"Um...I have something to say to you mom, something important..."
"Uhh..." she felt a bit nervous hearing him say that, but kept on listening
"Mom I met Allmigh-
It was in the morning of the day after the sludge villain incident...a pair of mother and son were facing against a giant man, in there living room. A man who was known by many as the symbol of peace, a celebrity, a living legend by anyone who hasn't been living under a rock...and now this man is asking the mother named Inko, to let him take her son as his protege, to both give his quirk and train him...
"Hm...so you want to give your quirk, One For All, to my son and train him to be your successor, if I am correct?" Inko started
"YES!" Allmight replied strongly
"Would his safety be guaranteed here?"
"Depends, considering that being a hero is pretty dangerous and require really good physical attributes, so of course, the training is going to harsh...but I will make sure to keep it safe enough that, he only gets minor injuries at worst!" Allmight says in a strong and serious tone, now in his shruken form to keep his remaining time sufficiently
"Hm, I see..." as she says this, Allmight's and Izuku's expressions waver a bit, unsure of what she is going to say, which she continued with a sigh and, "I don't mind letting Izuku being your successor, because he always wanted to be a great hero...and now he got an opportunity to do it, from Allmight at that, you know...and with the fact that he will receive a quirk either now, I can feel assured about his safety...ASSUMING YOU KEEP YOUR PROMISE, if he met the requirements..." she finished the last sentence with a serious and hard look
All might faultered for a second, before regaining his serious expression, "I would keep my promise to train your son and give my quirk either, Midoriya-san!" which the green haired mother replied with, "Unless you have good reason to, you have to keep your promise, that's all I can say"
"Yes I would"
"That's good" she finished with releasing her breath
(silence)
"So, he should be getting started now right?"
"Yes"
"Okay then Izuku, go and put on your tracksuit, I'll make the breakfast soon! And Allmight, do you anything to eat either?" said the mother, while Izuku went to change into his outfit after listening to her
"Uh-ah-oh! no! There is no need for that, I already ate my breakfast, and I can't eat too much anyway, so no, I'm fine!" he absolutely can't eat too with his current state
"Hmm...maybe at least a tea or coffee?"
"umm...sure...maybe a cup of coffee should be fine, I guess..."
"Alright then" she said while going to the kitchen, while Izuku came back in his tracksuit
They ate their breakfast(well, in Allmight's case, a cup of coffee) in silence, with the occasional chatter
After finishing their breakfast, Izuku and Allmight exchanged their goodbyes to Inko, before going to Takoba Municipal Beach, where they would continue their training
"Allmight, I hope you do make his wish come true..." Inko said to herself, happy that her son once more got that fire he had long ago, before his diagnosis of being quirkless. The happiness she felt of knowing he finally got an opportunity to fulfill his dream, from Allmight of all people, was immeasurable...
"HMMPH!!" In the junkyard of a beach that is the Takoba Municipal beach, a young man was trying his hardest to pull an old fridge, by a rope...with a giant of a man just sitting on it, knees to the chest...
"Hey, hey there! It feels pretty good up here!" said Allmight trying to tease him
"Haah...haah...hah...hah...ha" Izuku dropped to the ground and breathed heavily
"Woah there! Even normal people without a strength quirk can move stuff like this pretty often!"
"Well yeah, of course they can, I mean I should be able to do it pretty easily either considering I've trained myself before, but right now, there is giant man of 274 kg on top of the fridge..."
"That was years ago, now I'm around 255 kg" yeah, big difference there...
"But why are here, and why am I pulling this fridge? I know it's for training, but I wanna know the full explanation, you know..."
"Your unsuitable right now!" he said, which caused Izuku to cry out about how that's not what he said before, all while he took pictures of the boy crying pathetically
"Woah, woah, calm down kid! Let me explain properly!"
And so Allmight explained that(all while for dramatic effect crushing the fridge slowly), this was a training for making him able to withstand OFA, due to it being so ridiculously strong that, anyone without a good enough body would have their limbs exploded from their body, which caused Izuku to scream in fear, understandably. Izuku's body is somewhat close to the minimum, but for his safety, he better do the training. Other than that, he would wish for this beach to be cleaned, because that's something not many heroes nowadays do, it's also safe to talk about OFA and Allmight's condition here, since not many visit this place due to all the trash
Allmight pulls out a paper that has the title as he reads it out loud: "Aim to pass - American dream plan" not sure about what it has to do with america, but it sure sounds cool...
In the schedule, it includes everything, including his sleep time
"UA is known for being pretty hard to get in, especially for people who don't have a quirk... so this is going to be pretty tough, you sure you can do this?"
Izuku didn't take long to answer, "YES!"
"That's the spirit! I wanna say though, depending on how much you do, I might give you OFA early, because your body seems already tough enough, so let's see whether you could reach it within the requirements, you have the next ten months for it, you ready?!"
"SURE!!" said Izuku as began to do his training again
"Ah kid!" Allmight, who was now in his shrunk form, called out Izuku again
"Hm?"
"I did say about you getting it early if you were able to do it early, but be careful though, it's not good to overwork you know? I also promised your mom at that..."
Izuku looked at him with a unreadable expression before showing a softer yet serious one, "I'll be sure of that!"
"Hmm...good...now start pulling young man!" Allmight finished
And so Izuku's training from hell began, each day coming to this beach to clean the trash and do other exercises either
His lifestyle also changed, to be exact stuff like what and how much he can eat or the previous mentioned sleep schedule
He also trains in other places, if possible, such as in school, secretly that is. The constant and harsh training more often also made him pretty lethargic
Most of his classmates do notice these behaviors though, which they tend to make fun of him for, except Katsuki, who hasn't interacted with him ever since the sludge villain incident
He does go to see Hikaru like he usually does, but due to the extra work, he visits him less frequently, but even then the man sure does get happy chatting with him. They talk about various stuff, such as Izuku talking about his training and all(minus the secrets of course), while Hikaru talks about his life and some stories he knows of. All on all, it's pretty peaceful usually
His already athletic body grew more stronger, which in turn caused him to be able to carry and move more of the trash around, this caused him to clean the beach faster and faster
Izuku ended up cleaning all the trash in the beach, including the parts, that wasn't included in the schedule, and all this five months later
"Woah, woah, woah there! You ended cleaning everthing, including ones I didn't say you to! Holy...stinking...SUPER CRAP!" he said as he slowly transformed
After that he saw Izuku, who was on top of a trash mountain screaming, start to fall, which he reacted by quickly moving at breakneck speed to catch him
"Ughh...Allmight..." he said while in his mentors arms
"Young Midoriya, you really surpassed my expectations here!"
"Yeah...I finally did it..." he said as he was put on his foot again
"I'm impressed young man, you sure worked really hard to get this far, look over here!" he says as he pointed out to his phone, showing one of the pictures he took of the green-haired boy, five months ago, "And now look at you, five months later" now we see his body that's more ripped and muscular than he was even before, nothing too ridiculous but still impressive(AN: He looks roughly the same if not somewhat more built than he was in canon)
"I'm proud of you, young man! You did good!" Allmight said with pride in his words
"I feel pretty lucky right now...I like as if I'm not worthy of this..." Izuku says after starting tear up
"That's boggers young man! You earned this fair and square! A friend of mine once said, 'there is a difference between recieving something due to luck and been given something because you earned it', you were lucky to meet me, but making me want to make you my successor, training yourself to get OFA and to go to UA were things you earned! So don't beat yourself up over it!"
"Hm" Izuku didn't say anything other than hum in response
"So it's for you to receive One for all!" he said as he plucked a strand of his hair
"huh?" Izuku noticed this weird and was going to ask about it, if it weren't for-
"EAT THIS!" Allmight says with his face still with that signature grin
"Eh?" Izuku was confused
"To transfer OFA, you would need some of DNA for it!"
"This is not how I imagined it!"
"There is no time to be whining now! So eat! EAT!"
"AAAAAaaaahhh!!!" Izuku seriously hated this, but it's all for the good in the long term...
