Chapter 2
A New Enemy Emerges
Zak wakes up and sees his Uncle making breakfast. His mind flashes back to yesterday. He remembers something he didn't notice yesterday, a scar in the middle of Doyle's Chest.
"Your up early mini-man." Doyle say's snapping Zak back into reality.
"Huh," He looks at the time and it say's 7:30 am, "Ya, I guess I am."
[Inaudible] Zak looks over to Fisk who is sitting in a chair.
"Zak translation? Sometimes you are the only one who speaks Fisk." Doyle asks.
"Um...He's hungry and bored" Zak roughly translates.
"I thought it was kur that abled you to understand Fisk" Doyle states finishing breakfast for everyone.
"Never Thought about that really" Zak replies
"Wow. I didn't know you cooked Doyle" Drew says emerging with Doc.
"Ya , when you worked with Van Rook it helps. Cheep stuff never tastes very well." Doyle states then hangs his head in memory of his mentor.
"Doyle why is Fisk taped to the chair?" Doc asks
Zak looks and laughs knowing exactly why as his Uncle states "Other than the fact he was trying to drink the coffee and eat everything, No reason at all."
Drew chuckles and watches as her husband and son untape her adopted son Fisk. They eat and everyone is amazed at how good the food was.
"This is actually good Doyle" Doc states.
"If that was suppose to be a compliment, then thanks" Doyle says.
Airship Helm
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Doc presses a button and Beeman appears on the screen
"You rang Dr. Beeman?" Doc asks
"Ya it seems ships are being sunk by some 'big snake fish' in the Bermuda triangle," he shows some pictures, "Seems your Fish King is up to something, figured you'd want to check it out." Beeman says signing off as the pictures come in the fax.
"ULRAJ Wouldn't!" Zak exclaims
"Your right it doesn't sound like him" Doc states.
"Let's go Doyle, lead us down" Drew say's
Doyle is in the drivers seat and Drew in the other seat as they head for Kumari Kandum.
"Hey I didn't say he could Drive!" exclaims the jealous doc as Zak and Fisk laugh.
Kumari Kandum
They use Doc's and Doyle's jet's to get down to Kumari Kandum. They enter the city and it seems all is in chaos. They aren't allowed to see Ulraj, but Komodo sneaks in and try's to pounce on Ulraj to get his kelp necklace.
"That's not gonna work...KOMODO! Guards let the Saturday's in!" Ulraj commands. The guards do it but don't let Doyle in.
"No he's Family." Zak say's pulling him in, they all walk up to Ulraj.
Ulraj's Throne Room
"Saturday's Thank... Wait who's He?!" Ulraj asks Pointing to Doyle.
"My Uncle, the former mercenary" Zak introduces as Doyle waves.
"Nice to meet you, Anyway I am glad you are here!" Ulraj say's frantically
"What's going on Ulraj? All the chaos, the extra security, and now your serpent is taking down ships?" Drew asks
"Someone tried to Assassinate me! And now has stolen our city's serpent" Ulraj Tells them
"WHAT!?" Zak yells
"By who?" Doc asks as Fisk tries to calm down Zak.
"I don't know, but then the city's serpent went wild. I need to calm her down but the guards won't let me out." Ulraj complains obviously ticked
"Slow down Ulraj one problem at a time," Doc starts.
"I maybe able to get you out of here" Doyle states interrupting Doc
"How?" Ulraj asks
"I have been tinkering with something you ready Komodo?" Doyle asks.
Komodo hiss' and Doyle pulls a strap out of his pack. It has a collar and a bracelet on either end. He hands the bracelet to Ulraj and straps the other end to Komodo's neck.
"Try it Komodo," Doyle say's, Komodo goes invisible and so does Ulraj, "It works nice"
"When and how did you make that?" Doc asks
"Copied a bit of your using Komodo to cloak the airship, and I haven't been doing nothing in my room all week." Doyle replies.
"It's nice Doyle, Now let's get to the Airship" Drew states.
Airship
They walked outside and take the jet's back to the airship. Once they are inside Komodo reappears Ulraj removes the bracelet, Doyle removes the collar and put's it away. Doc is in the helm of the ship searching for the serpent.
"So Ulraj, aren't you the only one that can control that serpent, well except the Naga's?" Doyle asks
"No, she listens to only a few, and I apologize for not recognizing you sooner Doyle you did help with the atlas pin incident" Ulraj answers
"Don't worry about it, we all forget things and who are the one's that can communicate with the cryptid." Doyle asks
"And how did this all happen?" Drew adds
"Me, the Naga's, the care giver, and this all started..,"Ulraj trails off, "JEN?"
[Jen?!] Fisk asks as Zak translates.
"Yes, her father and mine were good friends. They have special knowledge about things like you do. She was here on my word, but why would she do this, she protects the world like you all do." Ulraj Question out loud.
"This Jen girl seems to be involved with everything. We need to figure out why?" Doyle states.
"FOUND HER!" Doc yells over the intercom.
"You know it's times like this that a small part of me wishes I still had my Kur powers." Zak thinks out loud.
"It did come in handy." Doyle agrees, "but it's better that it's gone."
The Fight
Zak is with Zon, Doyle and Drew are on his jet-packs and the rest are on a hovercraft given to them by the other secret scientists as a sorry we tried to capture you son.
"You have to get me close enough to get to her head" Ulraj informs
"That won't be easy with your friend making it attack us" Doc states
Doyle and Zak start to distract the serpent so the others can get close enough to drop Ulraj off.
The serpent keeps snapping at Doyle and Zak but notices the hovercraft and snaps at it causing Ulraj to fall off and into the water below. He is okay and starts to swim over to the serpent.
"I think we may need a little light on this subject." Doyle states tossing flash grenades to blind it.
"Just don't hurt her" Drew yells as a reminder.
"Ya I know" Doyle yells back
Helicopter
Two darkened figures are in the back of a helicopter over looking the fight.
"Right on time, nice." a familiar female voice say's
"I will signal the other one and don't hurt the Saturday's" a male voice says
"Not hurting them will cost you extra. I have a lot of anger with them." Abby say's as the light reveals her.
"You'll get your money. Just prolong the fight and get that weapon." The male orders
The Fight
The serpent smacks her tail on the water and all of a sudden Munya appears out of the water. Taking his helmet off .
[Inautible] Fisk cries out pointing to the water.
"Munya!?" Doc yells.
"I thought he was gone since Argost is?" Doyle states
"Uncle Doyle behind you!" Zak warns.
Doyle turns around just in time to see Abby kick his chest. "Oof Abby! Why are you working for Munya?" Doyle asks.
"Working for Munya?" Abby laughs, "Doyle sweetie, he is working for me" Abby states trying to get around Doyle.
"So what low life you working for this time?" Doyle questions throwing a punch.
"Sorry, I don't have time to play catch up Doyle." Abby say's as she flies around Doyle when Munya shots his web pulling Doyle away, Zak sees this and uses Zon to help get the web off from Doyle with his claw.
Abby shoots concussion grenades at Doc and Fisk sending them and the hovercraft into the water. Ulraj avoids the one's tossed at him as he climbs up to the serpents hear who is know going for the water logged Saturday's.
"Boy's" Drew yells as she watches her husband and adopted son fall. She turns back to fire at Abby, but is too late. Abby grabs the her weapon and runs.
Zak is struggling to get Doyle unhooked from Munya. All of a sudden a girl ,wearing a jet-pack with a red and brown jumpsuit on, black hair and red eyes, cut's the web and goes up to the helicopter that no one has noticed.
The Helicopter
"You got it now get out of there." the voice say's
The girl lands in the helicopter and takes an Egyptian looking scepter from him.
"I think I will take this Craig," She say's, "Oh and father say's your not getting the weapons first"
Abby pulls her out of as she say's "We just got one of them, three more to go." They fly off as Munya uses his web to hook to the helicopter.
The Water
"There, there girl. your okay," Ulraj says to the serpent, who has now cooled down.
'"Damn how did he get the fire sword?" The girl wonders out loud, "Was it the right one?"
The serpent mover her head with Ulraj on the top over to the girl with the jet-pack. "Jen?"
"Huh? Oh hey Ulraj. Sorry I was late had to find my way out of the city, it would have been much worse if you weren't trying to calm her down" Jen say's referring to the serpent
"Ya luckily the Saturday's got me out of my room, it they wanted the sword why were they trying to assassinate me?" Ulraj wonders.
"Oh they weren't after you. They were trying to get me. Luckily we finished the ceremony." Jen say's holding up the medal.
"Ya you should give that to your father and my people will take you back to your things on the island. Didn't mean for them to kidnap you." Ulraj apologizes.
"Nah, don't worry. Thew medal will be safe thanks for the ride back too. See you around Ulraj call if you need anything" Jen say's as she hugs Ulraj and leaves to go back to her stuff.
"Wait..A," Doyle calls to late, "Dang"
Zak flies up with Zon, "Hey who was that Ulraj?" Zak asks.
"My friend Jen, not sure if you should know anymore about her though. Not really my place to say anyway." Ulraj states.
Doc and Fisk fly up with the hovercraft.
"She's everywhere, wish we knew why she called and ditched us on Samlisha" Doc say's curiously.
"Oh, That I can answer. I...uh needed her for something and asked some of my men to get her. She probably wasn't there because my men stupidly kidnapped her." Ulraj says embarrassed and a little mad.
"Why did you need her?" Zak asks
"Can't Tell you, it involves my people and her plus it's not my place to tell why?" Ulraj say's avoiding the question, Anyway thanks for the assist. I need to get back to my people and calm this chaos." Ulraj say's leaving
Airship Lab
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Doc turns on the screen to answer to call. It's Dr. Beeman again
"Hey salt and pepper, looks like you guy's solved it. Agent Epsilon and his people are covering it up." Dr Beeman say's as he noticed the dagger on the table.
"Ya someone was controlling it and we ran into the same girl that apparently called us yesterday" Drew tells him.
"Really, does this mystery girl have a name?" Dr Beeman asks wanting the full story.
After a brief explanation of what happened the past two day's Dr. Beeman states "Weird, a mystery girl named Jen Knows Mr. Fish King and knew about us?"
"Ya well do you have anything for us Mr. UFO Man?" Doyle asks
Beeman laughs "Your a good edition Mr. Punk Rocker. From what you told me my only lead for you is to take that dagger to Dr. Jacob Webster. He helped you..."
"Research the Kur stone when we were looking for it. If it wasn't for him we would never have found it." Doc interrupts.
"Ya but I haven't heard anything from him in years, He didn't even help us get it back" Drew states.
"He deals with artifacts with power kinda like you and the cryptids. After his wife died he got a little paranoid, and even more so after his friend murdered his brother, Trent. That's when he fell off our map." Beeman tells them.
"Ya I do remember them now, has been a long time hasn't it." Drew says as Doc agrees.
"Last I knew he lived in England. Always kept to himself. He does keep a lot of powerful artifacts hidden away after all." Beeman explains as he say's goodbye and logs off the chat.
"Looks Like were going to England." Doyle Say's
"Ya but we need to figure out where in England first." Dos say's
"Maybe he'll know something about why my fire sword was stolen." Drew says angrily
"Cool England" Zak say's as Fisk dances around singing something inaudible.
Drew and Doc start looking at a map trying to figure out where in England he might live.
