"Oi, Gin-chan! It's been a real long time since the author updated this story. I thought she had a bunch of ideas for us?"

"Ah, Kagura-chan, she did say that, but that was several months ago now. People's minds aren't that expansive. All those ideas probably fell out of her head by the next morning. Not to mention the mental capacity it takes to write characters like us, especially when you're only an awkward fanfiction writer, who hasn't published real stories of her own."

"Gin-san, that's not very nice. You know she's probably really did mean to write Katsura a radio show, but life gets busy sometimes too."

"What's she got to do that's keeping her so busy? That's no excuse to abandon us, uh-huh."

"I'm sure she stays pretty busy now that she has a job."

"Shinpachi, a job doesn't take that much time. Obviously now that she goes out into public and made a few friends, she's gotten lazy and keeps putting off her writing. Look at me! I have my own business and yet I still make time for the important things."

"Eh, Gin-san... What important things are you talking about? You don't do anything... And it's not like we ever do much actual work here."

"No one does work anywhere. The point of life is to make yourself look like you're actually doing something important even when everyone knows that you're not."

"That's pretty dark, Gin-chan. Is that what happened with this story?"

"Kagura, Kagura, Kagura.. This story was doomed from the beginning. Words can never really capture that Gintama style."

"You mean the style of a mentally deficient oxygen thief? At any rate, there's no point in rushing her to write another one."

"You're right on that. She already has trouble keeping the few of us here in character. If she just rushed out another short story, that's a recipe for having her favorite character of the moment ham-fisted into a scene when it would make no sense whatsoever and not explaining it at all."

"Doesn't that just mean I could do and be anything I wanted, and it would all be fine because she could just say I was a little out of character?"

"That's exactly right, Leader-sama."

"Katsura-san?! When did you get here? And how? The door never opened."

"It seems I am Author-san's favorite character right now."

[Katsura really won her over in the Benizakura Arc.]

"That's true, Elizabeth, but I believe it was when we first teamed up that I was in the running."

"Ahaha! Ahaha! That's probably true, Zura, but right now she just got to my first big arc. So you're not her only favorite at the moment."

"Tatsuma! You too?"

"Hnn, it seems she's going through an old Jouishishi phase at the moment."

"Old Jouishishi? So that means.."

"Kintoki, Zura, and myself obviously."

"Eh.. Sakamoto-san... I don't mean to be rude, but there's definitely one more character you're missing."

"Ho? Who's missing? All four of us are together again. Just like old times."

"Takasugi!"

"Eh? Elizabeth... You're trying to end the scene?"

[The author doesn't know where to go from here.]

"Oh, of course. Shall I set up our radio equipment? Our last radio show went very successfully, I think. You really swayed the audience with your passionate argument."

"Oi, Zura, why are you bringing all this up now?"

"It's not Zura. It's Katsura."

"He's doing all this just to imply that what the author said this chapter would be about actually happened. Now, she doesn't actually have to come up with something like that if she doesn't feel like it. Uh-huh!"

"She's trying the deal with the issue by completely skirting it! The audience isn't going to fall for something like this."

"Of course they will, Shinpachi-kun. They're reading fanfiction right now. Clearly they haven't set their standards very high to begin with."

"How many people are you going to insult?! First the author and now the audience! it's no wonder they don't wanna read this! You're driving them all off."

[FIN]

"Oh, Elizabeth's trying to end the scene again. Please everyone, let's just do what he wants. End this rambling!"

"Shinpachi.. It's in bad taste to keep talking even after the scene has ended."

"Yeah, Shin-chan. You're really bringing down the quality of this fic."

"ME?! This chapter was terrible to begin with! You all believed it too! Look! There aren't any dialogue tags or prose to make anything make sense! No one's going to know who's talking or anything!"

"Wow, Shin-chan.. You're really mean. I'm sure Author-chan is trying her best."

"Good job, Shinpachi. You definitely hurt the author's feelings... It's okay, I'm sure you do your best."

"Your comforting the author now? Why is she suddenly a character in this? And why have you suddenly changed your opinions on this story? Ah, never mind. Let's just end this.

A/N: Welp.. Yeah. Pretty much they said it all up there.

"Don't act like you didn't write all of that up there, author-lady."

"Kagura-chan, don't interrupt the author's note. If you interrupt here, there wasn't any point in ending the story at all."

But yeah, I do still wanna write these, but I'll be honest. It's really freaking hard for me to write this show! As much as I love it and consider myself to be a pretty funny person... My humor is quite different from the show's, and I have difficulties WRITING funny. But at any rate, I had a lot of fun with this as I enjoyed bringing characters in and generally going insane with the whole thing. Let me know if y'all enjoyed it!

Thanks for all the support from the last chapter, and I'll see what I can come up with for the next chapter... Hmm.. Maybe something with Sakamoto and Mutsu? I really like them together, but I don't know. We'll see. Let me know if y'all have any ideas you'd like to see written as well! I get inspiration from everywhere!

"Oi, Gin, it sounds like she's trying to steal ideas from the audience."

"That's exactly what she's doing. We already know she's not very creative. I mean, she starts most of your lines out the same exact way."

"Hey, you're right! why do I always say that? I mean, I say it in the anime too a lot, but I'm sure it's more varied than that."

"She's probably just worried people won't recognize your voice if she doesn't do very obvious things to make it sound like you."
