Title: Conquest

Genre: Romance/Drama

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon yet do own this storyline and Fergal, the awesome Sun King

Author's Note:

You are going to love this chapter. I love this chapter. It's been my favorite for the longest… until I wrote this other epic one in about 50 pages but… let's not jump ahead shall we?

Sorry for the crazy long chapters (cause I know they are killin yall… uh huh….)

I still have 100 pages left of this story. I even decided recently to carry this all the way to the destruction of the Moon, which let me tell you… is super hard and depressing to write. A new friend of mine, Kasienda wrote an epic mini description of it in her story Once Upon a Dream. Her story is fantastic. I still think about it randomly for its' genius and it's been like a week since I've read it. Check it out- after you read this of course…

Thank you so deeply for your kind reviews. I am unworthy of such sweet words!

I am excited to see what you think of this so I won't delay any further…

Kunzite watched silently as his Prince sat busily at work at his desk. Slowly over the last few years Endymion had been taking over all of the business of his kingdom… just leaving his father as a puppet on the throne to think he was actually making a difference. He saw him reach up and rub his neck to sooth the tight muscles there. It had been five weeks since they were on Jupiter and two since Venus and Kunzite still did not know what had occurred between his Prince and Princess. On Venus he had been too distracted from rescuing Minet from her many admirers to spy on his Prince. A rueful smile came to his lips at that memory.

"She is it for you isn't she Kunzite?" Endymion inquired into the silent room and Kunzite's smile did not waver.

"She is my first and last your majesty. You must forgive me as I have never understood even the contemplation of more than one woman. You have wooed many women in your life sire but I just have never been able to understand why one should not be enough," he mused honestly and Endymion grinned looking over the paper in his hand.

"One is enough," he agreed and Kunzite looked at him with a smile. "Perhaps I just wanted to be rebellious before I had to accept my destiny," he breathed ruefully and Kunzite tilted his head to the side a bit.

"May I be so bold to say that it looks like your destiny has turned out greatly in your favor," Kunzite mumbled and Endymion's deep cobalt eyes rose and met his steely gray.

"I keep thinking I am acting like a child when I miss her… when I want to see her face or tell her about my day," he took in a deep breath. "But perhaps I am mistaken… perhaps these thoughts are not childish but are actually proof I am growing up and becoming a man," he mused, his gaze falling back to his desk.

"Sire… I could not agree with you more," Kunzite confessed and Endymion smiled a bit to himself. "I believe taking on the responsibility of one woman and her heart is one of the greatest honors and tasks we could ever be blessed with."
Endymion stilled. He had never in all his life of knowing his close friend heard him speak so passionately and with such conviction. He placed his quill down and turned to him, his eyes shinning with respect for his faithful warrior.

"How did you meet your love? How did she win you?" His young prince asked curiously and Kunzite let a smirk fall on his lips.

"Would you be mad at me to tell you Serenity has made many trips here before you first met her?" Kunzite inquired and Endymion's eyebrows rose in surprise.

"What? What on Earth for?" He chuckled and Kunzite relaxed a bit as he tried to grasp onto the memory.

"I believe she came to look at the colors," he remembered and Endymion looked at him enthralled as the memory began to play in Kunzite's mind. A young Serenity lying in wildflowers without a care in the world. "She was young, probably 16 and had not grown into her sword yet. But when I found her she was watching diligently over her charge from far away. She had attacked me immediately," he recalled with great affection. "Yet when she saw my eyes she stilled and I ceased as well. She told me who she was, why she was here and that she knew who I was. She wanted to make sure I was alone and you were not with me," he mumbled and Endymion raised an eyebrow. "I do not think she wanted you to meet her Princess. Perhaps wanted her to be free from her destiny a few years more…" He breathed and Endymion let out a breath. Minet loved her charge so. "She than asked me if she could seduce me," Kunzite recalled, his tiers rising and Endymion let out a laugh.

"What?"

"She was very polite about it. Apparently she was studying it and needed a live subject. I am afraid I could not deny her… It would be two years before I actually touched her… I am afraid she seduced my mind and heart before I ever had her body. By then I was so gone for her I would have loved her till my death without ever touching her lips," he confessed honestly and Endymion stared at him in a bit of shock.

"You are a true man Kunzite. I pray I learn more and more from your wisdom," Endymion breathed and Kunzite sucked in a deep breath.

"As do I sire," he replied and Endymion let out a chuckle.

His chamber door opened suddenly and both men turned to the disturbance.

"Sire," Zoycite said suddenly and both men could see the excitement around him. "Your father's court has a visitor," he continued, the smile on his face beaming. Endymion looked at him with confusion. "From our lost continent," he said and immediately Endymion was on his feet, worry creasing his brow. He had just checked on the Sun inhabitants yesterday and they were still completely off his father's radar, which was good since the fool had not recanted his "kill all aliens on sight" decree. He was racing out the door when Zoycite's last words caught him. "It is their Queen," he stopped and his frame spun sharply, almost sending him to the ground as he tried to take in his General.

"She didn't," he snapped and Zoycite nodded with a grin.

"I am afraid she did sire," he confessed and Endymion's eyes widened.

"Why the hell are you grinning about it!?" He roared, worry quickly coming to him again about her being exposed before his father.

"Because I have such confidence in her intelligence and in your father's stupidity," he smiled and Endymion looked at him taken aback. "You should see for yourself."

When he made it into Earth's royal throne room his hurried steps suddenly stopped in their tracks as confusion washed over him. Amid the lavish opulence of wooden carvings, heavy onyx drapes and a gilded throne stood a woman draped in a deep purple gown. His father and Osric were cooing over her, both out of their customary positions, his father on his throne and Osric standing near him, to fawn over the woman with short red hair that curled around her shoulders and upper back. A woman with even shorter brown hair stood beside her watching closely and Endymion now realized why Zoycite was so excited. Damn that man had it bad. Zoycite smirked beside him.

"I am not the only one," he hissed and Endymion shot him a warning look than proceeded further towards his father. When the young woman turned he stopped once more as bright blue eyes met his and recognition and familiarity washed over him with extreme comfort. She winked at him and he smirked finally approaching them. His steps alerted the two men and when their gaze fell on them Endymion almost felt the immediate disapproval of his presence.

"Oh. Endymion," his father said seeing him beside him and he let out a disappointed breath as the woman's attention turned to his son. "This is Queen Edora from our supposed lost continent. Seems there is a whole kingdom there we were unaware of," he said turning to the young woman once more.

"Oh, I was aware. I'd been protecting them from you," Endymion mused, his gaze not leaving her face and she smirked a bit at him.

"Not now boy," King Duucan snapped than he gently took the Queen's hands in his own. "Delighted to meet you my dear. I grant your request of complete protection and provision for your kingdom. If I had only known you were there I'd have done it so much sooner…" He breathed, his lips brushing her knuckles and suddenly he felt her hand being removed from his.

"Out of your league Father," his son cooed at him and Duucan pressed his lips together angrily, his eyes narrowing. "I am very interested to learn more about your kingdom Queen Edora. Might I give you a tour of my castle?" He asked with all the decorum of his station and the Queen slowly nodded, Endymion's lips brushing across her other hand deliciously.

"It would be a great honor your Majesty," she breathed and her voice sent a wave of pleasure down Endymion's back.

"Fine," Duucan barked. "My son will also prepare rooms for you for this evening. You must stay the night before your long journey home my dear," he commanded and Queen Edora curtseyed before him regally. "We can speak more of your needs over breakfast…" his voice cooed at her and Endymion's back tensed, his eyes narrowing angrily at his father.

"I'm sure I can take care of those too Father," Endymion hissed and Duucan turned, his face starting to purple with anger.

"How dare…" he began to spout when suddenly a hand touched his shoulder drawing his attention back to the deep blue eyes he had been staring into for the last half hour.

"Your kindness knows no bounds King Duucan. Thank you," she breathed and she could almost feel the King's ego inflate before her as his anger at his son ebbed away. Endymion tugged on her hand and with a nod of farewell she was taken from the room, her advisor and Zoycite following behind her.

They walked silently for a moment, his arm protectively around her as his left

hand held hers tightly. She kept up easily and said nothing. She prevented herself from reading his thoughts, knowing she probably wouldn't want to be exposed to all the hate and anger he was feeling over his father at the moment.

"I feel I have just had my first heart attack. Are you trying to kill me?" He breathed turning his head to her and she let out a giggle. He stopped her and pulled her into his embrace, his left hand leaving hers to cup her cheek. "Please promise me to never see him again," he said urgently and Serenity sucked in a breath and just enjoyed being in his embrace. "Seren," he chastised bringing her back to reality. "Never," he reiterated and she nodded, her fingers curling onto him.

"Anything you wish," she breathed and he let out a breath than kissed her deeply. Zoycite and Mercury turned their gaze away politely and Endymion pulled back, gently kissing Serenity's forehead before turning to his general and her guard.

"You may leave," he breathed to them and Zoycite smirked, grabbing onto his

love's hand and rushing her away down the hall. He turned back to Serenity and smirked down at her, her frame not moved one inch away from him. "Does Minet know you are here?" He teased and she giggled.

"I am sure she will soon," she replied and he grinned down at her, this thumb gently stroking her cheek as he held her gaze. "Should we be out in the open like this?" She questioned and Endymion glanced around the corridor than looked at her with amusement.

"I am Prince and allowed to take any woman I like in any place I like Queen," he teased and Serenity's eyes widened in shock and she yanked away from him.

"Oh are you?" She hissed and he smirked pulling her back to him.

"Jealous?" He breathed against her cheek and she grumbled. "Come on," he whispered into her ear as he brought her down another corridor. The black marble floors gleamed as the dark oak on the walls created a dark yet majestic feel. So, this is where her Prince grew up. "Am I yours?" He whispered to her and she smirked.

"Since day one," she smirked and he escorted her into a room and she let out a breath, the first time feeling unwatched.

"Why must you take such risks coming here?" He breathed suddenly, worry etched on his features and Serenity looked at him with a bit of awe.

"Are you truly worried about me?" She questioned and the look in his eyes spoke volumes to her.

"Love, of course. If he dare hurt you I'd have to kill him and it would undo all the hard work I've been doing throughout the galaxy," he breathed and she giggled.

"Actually it may raise you even higher in their esteem," she mused and he smirked, his eyes taking in her face and frame. She was draped in a deep purple. He'd never really seen her wear colors and while she probably could pull off anything he preferred her in her traditional white. "I could take it off if you'd like," she teased and he smiled.

"Oh I'll get rid of it soon enough," he breathed heatedly over her and she sucked in a deep breath, his statement sending a shiver down her spine. "As soon as you answer a few questions," he said suddenly and she raised an eyebrow. "Why did you see him? You risked the exposure of our people to him. Do you not remember his prejudice mind? What if he recognized you and used you against your own people?" he breathed, a bit disappointed in her.

"How often you forget I actually do have diplomatic skills," she mumbled and he shook his head. "You could not hide them forever though I know you have been and I could not be more indebted to your ministrations," she said with great respect, her hands running across his shoulders. He felt her deep appreciation for him flash over her. Gently he kissed her forehead once more, pulling her to him. "I am surprised and somewhat disappointed he did not give you in marriage to me to secure his newly found kingdom," she mused and he chuckled.

"He wanted you for himself," he stated and she blanched with a queasy look. "Besides he is still trying to figure out a way to marry me off to the evil scheming Princess of the Moon," he grumbled and Serenity's eyes lit up.

"Is he now?" She laughed and he smirked slowly leading her into his bedchambers.

"I know how much you detest the talk of marriage so I will not bore you with the details but he will not be successful," he whispered across her shoulder as he tugged on her sleeve to expose her bare skin. "I on the other hand will no doubt get her hand most willingly," he breathed and she let out a gasp.

"Oh you arrogant…" Her words were cut off as his lips crushed into hers. Immediately their arms were around one another, their mouths meshing in a familiar dance both had come to greatly enjoy.

"Interesting hair…" He mumbled, his fingers running through the bright red locks

and she smirked.

"I have always wanted to be blonde like my cousin but thought it would be too close. Red looks good does it not?" She questioned and Endymion shook his head, his fingers cupping the side of her face.

"Not. As long as you still have those eyes nothing else really matters though," he mused gently rubbing his fingers across her cheek as he held her face. She giggled with a roll of her eyes.

"How harsh. Is that all you like about my physique?" She teased with a raised eyebrow and his eyes lit up a bit and he hoisted her into his arms.

"Well… there is one other thing," he mumbled into her ear and Serenity groaned shaking her head as he carried her to his bed.

"Your lying is getting worse Endymion… you should work on it," she mused as she fell into the sheets with a laugh.

"I adore you Serenity. Let me join your Alliance and we can get married and live happily ever after," he breathed dramatically above her and Serenity's enchanting laughter filled his chambers.

"Now that is more like it."

He sat before the viewscreen quietly until it sprang to life. The image did not do her beauty justice but it still glowed with her incandescence.

"Please tell me she is there," Venus stated calmly at him and Kunzite nodded once.

"Mercury as well. They are both being debriefed as we speak," he mused and Venus' form relaxed before him and she smirked.

"I imagine," she mused than shook her head. "The little minx sent me on an errand to Pluto of vast importance and by the time I returned she had run off," she breathed and Kunzite grinned. "She likes him you know," she breathed ruefully and her face showed the pleasure of that.

"I think he has gone beyond like," he grinned and Venus smiled.

"Would it be wrong of me to say I am angry with her more not that she ran away but that I am not there with her?" She breathed, her eyes digging into his own and Kunzite's lips curled up adoringly.

"Than you and I share a common frustration with her," he mused and Venus felt as if he was devouring her with his eyes and it brought her extreme comfort.

"Send her home soon will you lover?" She breathed and he nodded.

"Anything for you my love," he replied and she nodded.

"I trust her with you Kunzite. I could give you no greater compliment," she said seriously and he nodded, understanding indeed what an honor she was bestowing upon him.

"I understand Lady Venus but… I am afraid you have given me a much bigger compliment years ago," he admitted and she pressed her hand against the viewscreen, moving closer to it as her eyes softened.

"I do not deserve you… yet I think I will keep you forever," she whispered lovingly and he smiled, gently pressing his hand where hers lay on the screen.

"I am ok with that," he breathed and she conveyed her affections for him deeply in her eyes before she sucked in a breath and regained herself.

"Thank you General," she finished and he nodded once more.

"You are welcome Lady Venus," and with that the transmission ended and he smiled to himself, thankful for having seen her face.

Her fingers messily intertwined with his as she let out a content sigh against him. The moon's rays shone brightly through the floor to ceiling windows that faced the bed.

"What a nice view you have…" She breathed against his neck and he smiled, his entire body relaxed and in comfort with her beside him.

"I did not always like it… but it has grown on me," he mused and she giggled against him.

"Yes, those rays do seem quite invasive…" She mumbled against his neck and he turned to her, his hand gently cupping her cheek as their eyes caught. She was so beautiful… He smiled and she still had the decency to blush when he thought that.

"You think that of me because you know me correct my Prince?" She asked and he smiled, pulling her closer.

"Do I know you?" He teased and she pressed her lips together silently and he caught a twinge of sadness in her eyes. "I know you," he said suddenly, strongly and she gulped a bit. "Sure, you were cute when I met you… but your convictions, your passions, your heart for our people… that has made you truly beautiful," he whispered and she clutched to him, her fingers flowing through his hair. "Seren…" He breathed and her eyes focused on his as a sudden nervousness overtook her. "For one night… could we pretend this is not a game we are playing?" He asked softly and her eyebrows rose a bit. "That you were here with me… the real you with the real me with no underlying treaty ready to be struck at any moment?" He whispered, his gaze falling to her chin and she smiled sweetly at him.

"Ready to strike a treaty at any minute?" She cooed and he glanced up at her tolerantly. He was serious. That thought felt like a boulder in her stomach as her comfort in the game seemed to be her only protection. Without it, she was vulnerable.
"I would get as far away from you as I could," Serenity smiled, her form moving to sit peacefully on the bed beside him.

"Seren will you ever be anything but the game?" He groaned, his eyes turning away from her to look out the massive windows.
"What is there but it? What do you want from me Endy?" She grinned leaning towards him and he sighed gently touching a finger to her cheek.

"I want one night where I cannot feel the weight of billions resting on my shoulders. Where I can be myself, unguarded and unafraid that the morning will change anything. I just want one night… because I would never give up who I am. I love my burden but sometimes I have to breathe too…" He muttered, not really looking at her anymore. He almost didn't even notice she had crawled into his arms until he felt her soft silver hair caress his cheek.

"So you are human," Serenity smiled softly, her fingers gently tracing the outline of his shoulder. He snorted at her and pulled her on top of him, his form falling into the soft confines of his bed. "What would you do if you got that night Endymion?" She whispered, her bright eyes twinkling into his own and gently his thumb ran under her jaw as a smile tugged at his roguish lips.

"I am already doing it," he confessed and Serenity pulled herself up, her body gliding across his as she hovered over his face, her hands grasping onto his head gently.

"We will erase this night from our books shall we? It never happened," she stated and Endymion raised an eyebrow at her.

"What are you talking about Seren? What never happened?" He questioned pushing a strand of hair out of her face.

"The fact that if I was not who I was and could do anything I wanted… I would stay right here," she whispered quietly and Endymion stilled. He tried to read her mind, looking to see if there was anything more in that confession but she was wiped clean. All that was before him was the confession and those eyes that seemed to stare straight into his soul. He leaned up, his lips capturing hers deeply as his arms wrapped around her. He shifted and rolled her over so they were lying on their sides facing one another. Her lips pulled away and her eyes seemed to twinkle at him as he spied her beauty beside him.

"What was the most fun thing you ever did as a child?" She asked, her eyes coming alive with playfulness and Endymion's face seemed to light up as his arms tightened around her. So, this is what she wanted to do… though he knew she enjoyed their intimate romps if she had the choice to do anything she would rather share and talk with him than anything else. He was in awe. Gently he stroked her face and she blushed up at him.

"You're wit has made you one of my favorite people to talk to you know," she confessed quietly and Endy gently pulled a blanket over them. He cast her a look with a grin.

"I would hope so. I just hope I will be whether I give you a treaty or not," he mused and she grinned up at him, curling into his arms.

"We'll see," she muttered, the moon casting a shadow through the room bathing them in a soft glow.

"Most fun? By far when I accidentally set Kunzite's tunic on fire. I was just starting to learn my powers and Jedite was convinced I could transport myself and another object. After being successful he dared me to do it with a match. In the middle of my concentration Kunzite had distracted me and next thing I knew I had transported into him and the match had licked at his tunic," he remembered and Serenity's giggles bubbled between them.

"Minet and I once painted purple and pink streaks into our guardian Artemis's hair while he slept. Lunar told us it was a right of passage," Serenity whispered and he smirked pulling the blanket over them.

"Not Lunar!" He teased and she laughed into his neck.

"It was not. He was furious. My mother did not approve much but my father thought it hilarious."

"I really like your father," Endymion chuckled and Serenity nodded intertwining her fingers with his.

"He likes you as well," she smiled and Endymion gently kissed her nose.

"Most embarrassing moment," he challenged and Serenity's eyes widened.

"A little personal are we not?" She giggled than let out a sigh. "Probably my first kiss," she voiced and Endymion raised an eyebrow at her, coaxing her on. "Minet dared me to kiss a stable boy and never one to back away from a challenge I sauntered up to him, turned him to me and smacked my lips against his," Serenity said with a shake of her head. "Sadly it was a girl. I was mortified as she stared at me with horror than started to cry," Serenity said hiding her face in his neck and she felt Endymion's chuckles overtake his body as he held her tightly.

"Aw. I cannot wait to hold that over your head as we grow old," he laughed and she pulled back and pushed him in the gut making him laugh again.

"No, you cannot remember any of this night. It does not exist remember," she chided and he stopped and looked at her. Her words had a secure weight to them. A freeing weight that didn't prevent him from his next statement but more encouraged it.

"If it does not exist than I have to tell you that you are my perfect equal. Sometimes the first thing I think about when I wake up and always haunting my dreams. I live for our verbal spars and will boycott any marriage you dare undertake because I know that means I will never be able to touch you again and that seems almost unbearable," he breathed, his eyes digging deep into hers and Serenity felt as if her heart stopped beating. Every fiber in her was telling her to run away, every rule banging on her head but all her defenses wanted to crumble. She let out a shattering breath and looked away from him. She shifted a bit and tried to wiggle out of his arms but his arms tightened around her. His eyes locked with hers and she halted as she felt the depth and truth of the words he spoke for her. He did care for her. They truly were best friends. She sucked in a deep breath and felt as if she had no control over what was about to come out.

"I would marry you if you asked and not for a treaty or for the sake of our guardians," she breathed and suddenly let out a horrified gasp and jerked out of his arms. The words felt like traitorous daggers to her tongue and she quickly wanted to escape the room when strong arms suddenly enveloped her.

"Serenity," he breathed across her neck and she shook her head, tears forming in her eyes as she cursed her weakness.

"I cannot lose to you," she hissed, her fingers curling into fists as she tried to escape his hold but her body just wouldn't let her. He turned her and his hand gently turned her chin so their eyes met and locked.

"Than don't," he hissed back and a tear slid down her cheek as she let out a breath. His hand stroked her face and wiped the tear away as his lips dove for hers. Her lips attacked his as her hands gripped onto him, pulling herself into his lap. She was fighting for control, fighting for the upper hand and he pushed against her, not submitting to her but giving her what he knew she needed… a fight. Slowly the barrage ended and she sat limp in his arms. Her anger at herself out and his comfort washing over her. Gently he laid her back down beside him, his fingers flowing through her hair.

"I would give you a treaty just for your hand," he whispered leaning his forehead against hers and she closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath. He felt her fingers graze across his cheek as her forehead pressed into his.

"But I thought you said my eyes were your favorite feature," she reminded and a chuckle rumbled through him as his eyes opened to spy her.

"Aye they are," he smiled pulling her close and she let out a breath and settled her head into the crook of his neck.

"What a pair we are," she complained and he nodded, his arms tightening around her as he pulled a blanket over them once more.

"Shh… get some sleep," he smiled, adjusting to accommodate her more comfortably. She glanced up at him and his eyes met hers.

"Promise to not let go?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and Endymion smirked.

"Ah that's right… you've never slept with a man before," his fingers trailed through her hair and she shrugged a bit, a smile tugging on her sweet lips.

"Slept with yes… sleep with no. Sleep requires trust," she responded and Endymion smiled.

"You trust me Seren?" He asked and Serenity smiled softly, her eyes closing as she cuddled into him. He grinned accepting her body next to his own as his eyes closed as well. Guess that was a yes.

Groggily he moved his hand searching for the warmth that he fell asleep next to. He moaned opening his eyes as his fingers just grazed sheets.

"Serenity," he mumbled pushing his lids open when suddenly it hit him. She wasn't going to be there. She had already left. He settled back into his pillow and let out a breath, his eyes looking around the room in hopes he was a bit wrong. But he knew her too well. With a breath he took in her fragrance before it would be lost from his sheets. It was good she went home… Minet was probably worried. He rolled over and stared at the ceiling and tried to clear his thoughts. He didn't want to think about her anymore.

"Good Morning Sire," A voice said quietly and Endymion let out a breath.

"When did she leave?" He asked gently and Kunzite tossed a robe towards him.

"A few hours ago sire. She left you a note," he replied and Endymion lifted his head and glanced at the pillow next to him. He sat up snatching the note quickly and recognized her perfect penmanship.

Thanks for keeping your promise.

Took me forever to get out of your arms.

See you soon.

Seren

His fingers slowly curled around it as it crinkled in his palm.

"Busy day today sire," Kunzite mumbled and Endymion nodded and threw the blankets from his bed and stood.

Serenity watched a servant stuff her purple gown and red wig into her closet and a small smirk fell to her lips as the memory of the last evening replayed in her mind.

"You were off planet last night my Princess," a male voice said suddenly and Serenity jumped. She looked at her father almost guiltily than quickly wiped the expression from her face and relaxed once more on the seatte at the foot of her bed.

"So many interesting places to go Father…" She mused glancing to make sure her servant had closed the door to her closet.

"I bet," he snarked taking a comfortable seat beside her and she turned to him, sudden anguish on her features.

"I fear I am losing my game…" She confessed a bit sadly and Fergal glanced at her surprised.

"You say that as if it is the worst thing in the world," he chuckled and she stood, shock on her features as she faced him.

"It is! He will think I will marry him and than I will be trapped to one kingdom and the galaxy will be on it's own… I cannot be so selfish!" She ranted and Fergal looked at her with shock.

"Serenity… what a skewed galactic view you have," he responded and she spun to look at him with utter confusion.

"I'm sorry?" She questioned vulnerably and he grinned standing.

"Darling… when I leave to go meet diplomats you do not assume I persuade them with my body do you?" He questioned and she blanched horrified at that thought.

"Certainly not. I would be gravely disappointed in you and… angry!" She spat and he chuckled.

"Do you think your mother sits at home doing nothing waiting for my return?" He questioned again and she was beginning to see where his reasoning was going.

"No, father… of course not. It's just…" She prattled and her voice trailed off.
"My darling… please tell me you are not really a treaty harlot…" He asked gently and Serenity looked up at him a bit hurt.

"Do you think the galaxy thinks that?" She asked, fear in her eyes and he shook his head and gently took her hands.

"No, even though you speak as if you are!" He chastised and with an unladylike whine she threw herself into his arms.

"Oh Father… I blame mother," she pouted and he ruffled.

"What?" He snapped offended and she pulled away to look at him.

"She made me too beautiful," she whined and he looked at her tolerantly. "I cannot be myself with these princes of the galaxy… they fall for me and I have to break their hearts… yet if I tease as the uncatchable catch when they form an Alliance with me they feel they have won a bit," she breathed and Fergal let out a chuckle.

"Oh what idiots you make my sex out to be," he breathed and she tilted her head to the side guiltily and he huffed. "Surely not all of them," he snapped and her eyes innocently rose to glance into his.

"Not all of them," she breathed and Fergal glanced lovingly at her. "Endymion is not so," she confessed and than twisted her lips together thoughtfully. "He said he would give me a treaty for my hand…" She breathed and Fergal's eyebrows rose in surprise. "I did not take it. But he really wasn't asking…" Her voice was rushed as the words tried to escape. "Technically he was confessing in confidence he wasn't really asking and it… I'd marry him without a treaty," she suddenly announced than her face scrunched angrily at herself. Fergal sat back and tried to take in all the emotions that had just crashed through his daughter all at once.

"Sweetheart… I don't think it's possible for you to marry without at least one little treaty of us and your future spouses world not killing each other," Fergal tried gently and Serenity fell at his feet, placing her face in his lap as she sucked in a deep breath.

"He has made me lose my mind. I have lost my mind haven't I?" She whined and Fergal thought about agreeing with her than realized it would not be the best course of action.

"I think you have fallen in love," he breathed and Serenity was immediately on her feet and straightening her dress.

"HA!" She laughed. "No. It's not that. I just have found a friend… he is my friend father, a dear friend. My first that wasn't picked out for me or was drawn to my crown or beauty…" she said with affection and Fergal smirked at her.

"Darling I truly believe you have no vice yet I must admit you are quite ignorant in the realm of love," he mused playfully and she sat beside him defeated.

"I know," she confessed, the realization a giant blow to her ego.

"Perhaps you should worry when he actually makes a real proposal and until then… do not be afraid of growing attached to him," he smiled and Serenity looked at him taken aback. "Your mother is my best and most dearest friend," he breathed with great affection and gently he cupped her face lovingly. "And if I may be so bold to tell you… and I tell you with hope that you do not bolt from him after I confess this… but… it seems you have followed your mother and I's footsteps identically," he confessed with a smile and she gulped.

"Mother chased you, seduced you for a treaty and than accidentally fell in love with you?" She questioned honestly and Fergal had the decency to blush.

"I would put it more romantically but essentially…" He grinned and Serenity's eyes widened.

"I thought you met at a peace conference!" She spat standing and Fergal chuckled.

"I thought you two met at a peace conference!" He shot back and Serenity blushed and turned away from him.

"Officially…" She hissed.

"My Darling… you can have a love like us. The most beautiful and powerful Princess in the galaxy can indeed find a diamond in the rough," he said reassuringly as he stood and wrapped his arms protectively around her.

"Maybe you are right… doubtful but… maybe," She whispered and he squeezed her.

"I am always right," he teased and she smiled burying her head in his neck and wrapping her arms tightly around him. "How are my people?" He asked softly and she squeezed again.

"He has taken such care of them father…" She breathed with such respect. "He is a grand King and I do not think I had any hand in that… he had it in him all along," she confessed.

"And now because of you the whole galaxy sees that. In just a few short months his character has won over a galaxy Serenity. You have saved his planet all because you took on a dare to capture him," he grinned and she smiled up at him.

"It was always the goal to save the planet Father. He was just a bonus," she smirked and he kissed her forehead lovingly.

"If he asks for your hand I am going to give it to him," he said suddenly and Serenity gasped and yanked away from him.

"What?! You can't just give my hand away!" She whined and he smiled happily at her as he headed towards the door.

"Actually my dear… I can. I'm your father," he tortured and she followed helplessly behind him.

"Father you wouldn't!" She cried and he smirked, her form at his heels.

"Daughter I would never deprive you of such happiness," he continued and she stopped.

"Do you think he could make me happy?" She questioned suddenly and Fergal smiled at her.

"I wouldn't give you away lightly my love. I haven't yet," he breathed than vanished out of her quarters.

"Who is he trying to marry you off to?" Minet asked walking up to her and Serenity stared at the door helplessly.

"Endy," she whispered.

"Oh that would be fun," Litelle smiled from her seat as she went over security protocol.

"Well, it would help me sleep easier since you'd stop sneaking off planet to see him," Minet snapped as she pinched her Princess' arm.

"Ow Minet!" Serenity chastised as she smacked her cousins' arm. "Please, let us not even repeat this nonsense…" She said and immediately the subject was changed. That was enough marriage and love talk for at least a month.
