"So she doesn't know?"

"No, don't worry."

"I'm not worried it's your secret."

"A secret that you are also going to keep?"

"Yeah. Obviously."

"Thank you."

"So she still thinks you were in Africa for that extra week?"

"Yeah, she has no clue. I've got to go. I just wanted to let you know that I got to New York okay."

"Okay. I'll see you in a couple of days."

"Bye."

Arizona hung up and turned to look at her girlfriend. She was stood in their hotel room whilst Callie stood on the balcony. Callie was bent over ever so slightly as she leant on the metal bar, starring out. She had excused herself to make a phone call when they had gotten back to the room after their meal.

The brunette seemed to have of gotten over what had happened earlier and now appeared truly calm.

Arizona's eyes were fixed on her partner's legs which were even more glorious in her black high heels. The blonde then gazed up to where Callie's legs met the hem of her dress, just above the knee. Before Arizona got a chance to raise her vision even higher, Callie spoke. Somehow over the background sounds of New York at midnight, the brunette's voice reached the surgeon's ears.

"Stop starring." Callie said in her wonderfully confident way, not even bothering to turn around. It had always been hot. She was self assured when she smiled at you and there was this glint in her eye that dared you to look away. Of course you couldn't; she was far too mesmerising. And then when you realised that you couldn't help but keep looking that was it- you were hers.

Arizona bit her lip and walked towards her.

She remained facing forwards as Arizona wrapped her arms around the taller woman and turned her face so that the right side of her head was against Callie's shoulder.

"You're thinking very hard." The blonde stated.

"How'd you know? Maybe I'm just taking in the view."

"You're breathing really deeply, like you're about to come to some great conclusion."

Callie shrugged in response and Arizona kissed her neck, just below her ear.

"Maybe I was just enjoying how it feels when you stare at me." Callie continued with her cocky demeanour.

Arizona smiled as her head rested in the crook of her lover's neck, her arms tightening slightly around Callie's waist. They were so close that the blonde could feel every breath the other woman took. After an impossibly long breath, Callie spoke.

"How we got here."

"What?"

"That's what I'm thinking about. How you and I got to be on this balcony. They're laying the foundations for the house next week. I transferred the money so that they could get started."

"Wait." Arizona interrupted, lifting her head. "You mean you transferred your half of the money right? We agreed. I don't care how loaded you are. We're each paying half. We're building a future together and that means..."

It was Callie's turn to interrupt. She had started to turn herself around as soon as she had heard her girlfriend say the word "Wait" but by the time she was face to face with the surgeon, Arizona was pretty far into her ramble. So Callie simultaneously pulled their bodies back together by grabbing Arizona by the hips, and kissed her.

As she relaxed and kissed back, slipping her tongue into her lover's mouth, Arizona felt her body shift around. With her eyes closed she followed Callie's body and felt herself get guided back. A split second of concern shot into her mind as her lower back met with the rail and everything above met nothing but air. Then two hands moved up her back until they were on the backs of her shoulders and she was cradled in Callie's arms.

The blonde ended the kiss but rested her forehead on her girlfriend's. Neither of them opened their eyes for a second.

"I transferred my half of the money."

"Right. Sorry."

"You don't care how loaded I am?" Callie asked pulling her head back and looking at the surgeon.

"No." Arizona replied opening her eyes and stroking her thumbs up and down the sides of the other woman's neck. Her hands had found themselves on Callie's shoulders.

"You've never even asked me."

"Asked you what? How much money you have? I haven't had to. I'm guessing that it's more than I would know what to do with. I mean you have a plane."

"My Dad has a plane." She corrected.

"Okay well my Dad doesn't." Arizona smiled. "What does it matter? I earn enough to support myself. You earn enough to support yourself and we both have extra. I mean, yeah you probably have a lot more extra than I do but Calliope, I don't care about that. The fact that you use your extra to fund a charity, the fact that you're that person, that's what I care about."

"Okay." Callie smiled and leaned in to place a quick kiss on Arizona's cheek. "I just realised in one of my sessions with Dr Jacobs that it's not really been a factor in our relationship, which is weird."

"Why?"

She shrugged again. "It's been a factor in all my relationships at some point. None of them were romantic obviously but it's always come up."

"Even with Jonathon and Amber?"

"Yeah. I've had to help them out. Jonathon was broke when we were in college. Amber's Amber. You know? She tends to leave a mess in her wake."

"They're your best friends though."

"Right. I'll always bail them out." Callie spoke as if it was nothing because to her it was. She was able to help them so she did.

"I haven't asked; how'd it go with Dr Jacobs?"

"Good." The brunette stated. "I've got another session next week. It's taken a while to catch her up."

"A lot's happened."

"Yeah, she likes the sound of you though. Apparently you're good for me." Callie smiled as she began moving her hands up and down her partner's back. "Which means that you can't leave me."

"I can't?" Arizona tilted her head.

"No. I've been medically advised to keep you in my life." She explained.

"Oh."

The brunette failed to suppress a yawn.

"Come on," her girlfriend grabbed her hand and pulled her inside the room, closing the door as she spoke again. "Bed."

"Sounds good." Callie said as she let go and walked towards the bathroom. "Although we've hardly left it since you got here."

"I mean to sleep." Arizona replied, raising her voice a little so it would reach the other room.

"I know. Aren't you tired? You've flown from Africa."

The surgeon's eyes widened slightly as she remembered that that was what Callie believed.

"Yeah, of course. That's why I want to go to bed."

Callie returned from the bathroom. "And here I thought you were being a concerned girlfriend."

"Well obviously that too."

When both women were finished getting ready, they lay together. Arizona had her lover's back pressed against her front with an arm across her body. Just as she was about to drift off Callie spoke quietly.

"I'm sorry for earlier."

"You don't need to be."

"I just..." She turned to face Arizona. "I get a little uncomfortable sometimes."

"I know."

"You mean everything."

The blonde broke out into a sleepy grin. "So do you."
