"Do we have to go?" Arizona asked from the closet.
Her partner replied from their bedroom. "Yes."
"I was gone for three weeks."
"People missed you."
"Enough to throw a party? Come on."
"All I know is that Teddy will kill me if I don't get you to the Acorn by eight thirty."
The surgeon entered the room and Callie's eyes widened as she spoke again.
"You know I would rather stay here."
Callie had thought it odd that Teddy and Mark had been so adamant about this evening. Arizona had been back a day when Callie had been phoned about using the club. A night out did sound like fun and Teddy really had threatened the brunette if the pair were not there at half past on the dot. However her partner was seriously testing her resolve in the outfit she was currently wearing.
Arizona caught her lover's drift.
"Eyes back in your head baby. We should at least have a drink I guess, they probably went to a lot of effort."
"And my bar's been closed for a night, even if we don't take advantage."
"You're worried about losing business? Seriously?"
"No." The brunette replied, trying to sound like that wasn't the case.
"You could have charged Teddy." Arizona suggested with a smile as she pulled Callie up by the hand.
Callie pretended to think about it.
"Seriously?"
The brunette smiled back and began to walk out of the apartment, keeping ahold of
Arizona's hand.
"That wouldn't be very good considering this party is for my girlfriend. "

When they got to the bar Arizona stopped her girlfriend from entering by grabbing her arm gently.
"What is it?"
The surgeon leant in and kissed her cheek.
"I just wanted a second."
Confused by Arizona's words, Callie opened the door and found the bar empty. She was sure it wasn't a surprise party.
Then she noticed something on the bar. Well two things. A wine glass filled with white wine and a tumbler containing a clear liquid. Containing lemonade.
"I wanted it to be exactly like that first night." The voice came from behind her. Arizona moved to stand opposite.
"This room was full of people." Callie responded, still confused as to what was happening.
Arizona shook her head.
"There was nobody else. As soon as you smiled at me that fist time I couldn't see anybody."
Callie took a step forwards but Arizona took one back.
"You need to let me get through this and I won't if you're holding me."
The brunette nodded silently and her girlfriend continued.
"It doesn't matter where we are Calliope, as soon as you smile at me, everything disappears. Well that was true at first. Now I see you and us and our future. I love you so much and I'm already in love with the house we're going to live in and the kids we're going to have because they will be ours. And I don't want you to ever doubt how committed I am to that."
Suddenly it became very clear what Arizona's intention was as she got down on one knee.
Callie's breath hitched and her eyes began to fill with the happiest of tears.
"Calliope Torres will you marry me?"
