"You must make so many friends when you go to Africa." Callie joked as she wrapped her right arm a little tighter around the other woman.
The surgeon pulled her head away from Callie's neck and looked her in the eye.
"I usually just grip onto the arm rests and close my eyes but seeing as you're here."
"Always." The brunette responded. "It'll be over soon."
Arizona made the mistake of glancing behind her to look out of the window but quickly turned back with terrified eyes. If they weren't wide already they certainly were when Callie moved her left hand. It had been resting on her knee in a comforting way but it was now between her legs. Her dress was pushed up slightly as her partner's finger tips made contact.
The blonde hummed as Callie's mouth attached itself to her neck.
"The first time I have sex with my wife is not going to be on her father's plane." She said, bringing her hand to Callie's cheek.
Looking up, the other woman spoke. "Say that again." She whispered.
"Say what?"
"That I'm your wife."
Arizona couldn't help but smile as she spoke. "You're my wife." Her voice then turned authoritative. "And we're still not having sex."
Callie was smiling back as she moved her hand back to her lover's knee.
"Look out the window darling."
When she did, Arizona saw that they were now in the air.
"Very clever." She commended as those lips were again on her neck and she turned back around.
"I can be very distracting." Callie needlessly pointed out before kissing her on the lips.
It was Arizona that refused to let it end though and kissed her back harder.
All of a sudden the door to the cabin opened and the two woman did as good a job they could of behaving but Callie figured that they were newlyweds and so could be forgiven.
The other woman though pulled away and sat up in her chair although still inside her wife's embrace.
"Annie?" The surgeon asked and Callie looked around to see a woman in an air hostess uniform looking slightly embarrassed.
"Arizona." She said. "I mean Doctor Robbins." She then said realising she needed to be professional.
"I'm not..." Arizona started but she was interrupted.
"Sorry. Doctor Robbins Torres." She corrected.
"No, come on, I'm Arizona."
"And I'm Callie." The brunette said in an attempt to puncture the awkwardness.
"Is there anything I can get you?" Annie asked with all of her professionalism restored.
"No thank you. We're good." Callie spoke for them.
"Well if there is anything, just press the button."
When the woman left the cabin she spoke again.
"So she's seen you naked." Callie smiled.
"Calliope." Arizona bowed her head.
"It's okay." She finally pulled her partner back against her.
"How do you always know?"
"Superpower." She shrugged. "So she's a little young for you?" She pushed.
"It was bad." Arizona said regretfully.
"Really? She's young and hot and has an air hostess uniform. I myself have experienced that combination."
That got the blonde to look at her.
"Are checking out other women on our honeymoon?" It was a joke; she knew Callie. "That wasn't bad. I was bad. She was sweet, amongst other things. It was me."
"I don't believe that."
"I can't believe she works for you now."
"My Dad." Callie reminded her.
After taking a deep breath, she explained.
"After Tim died I dated a few people, more than a few. It would only ever last a couple of months before I'd end it or like in Annie's case she got sick of me. I was numb. I just couldn't connect you know? Didn't matter how hard I tried or how great they were. Then I met Jasmine and actually felt something. I fell in love when I really didn't think I could anymore."
"Well that explains why you stayed."
"Sorry."
"Rule one."
"We've been married for four hours and I've talked about two ex-girlfriends."
Callie just shrugged, picked up Arizona's left hand and kissed the silver wedding band on her finger.
"Well you're all mine now."
"Did you know her and the nurse are still together? Maybe they're supposed to be. Maybe it all went the way it was supposed to. I know you don't like all of the fate and destiny stuff and I don't blame you."
"I just don't believe there are things we can stop. I do believe that we're meant to be together though."
"Really?"
"Obviously, otherwise what's the point?" She leant forward and kissed the top of her wife's head. "Although I didn't get betrayed by someone I loved in the process of getting here."
Blue eyes met brown.
"Do you know when I knew that I had to leave her?"
"After you showed up drunk with that bottle of vodka." Callie answered instantly.
"Damn it." She responded with gritted teeth.
"Sorry," The brunette began. "Ask me again and I'll pretend not to know."
"How did you know?"
"Well the time before that you kissed me but that wasn't enough."
"That was when you said that I'd never have slept with you if it was just a one night stand."
"Was I wrong?"
"I don't actually know. You might have been wrong about the other thing too."
"You'd have cheated on her?" Callie asked, raising her eyebrows in surprise.
"I don't know. I told you that I'd thought about it." After a shrug, the blonde closed her eyes. "I did, even, think about it when I should have been thinking about her." She admitted, causing her partner to smirk.
"You didn't say that exactly."
"Well now I have." She smiled as she opened her eyes, only to shut them again when her wife began kissing her. "Watch those hands Calliope."
Callie separated from her. "They haven't moved." She said loudly and defensively.
"I know you."
The brunette couldn't deny that the thought had crossed her mind.
"After the drunken incident, the next time I saw you was when you showed up at my office and you told me you'd left her. If I was listening to the rumours I might have questioned that but seeing as we had sex in your apartment I'm willing to believe you."
Arizona sighed. "That stupid rumour."
"Aria had heard it to." Callie surprised the both of them by saying those words and her partner nodded in recognition. "She'd heard that you cheated on your last girlfriend at least.
"She said she'd heard something that made me not so perfect." She explained.
"Well I didn't bother to explain that she was wrong and that even if it was true, it would have been with me."
"You just told her to leave you alone, right?"
"I told her to fuck off, so yeah." Callie paused for a breath. "It's complicated with her."
Arizona nodded again. "I told you, as long as you're okay, you don't have to tell me."
Callie smiled and kissed her. "I love you."
She kissed her again.
"I love you too. That night, with the vodka and the crying made it very clear that I was supposed to be with you. It made me think that taking the leap would pay off. You looked after me when you didn't have to. You were honest. You didn't expect anything of me. You were just there and I didn't want that to ever stop."
"You can't say that I haven't asked anything of you since."
"No, we're in a relationship, that's how it works but you being here still makes me feel the same way."
"I'm not going anywhere." Callie promised.
It was Arizona this time who initiated the kiss. She slipped her tongue into her wife's mouth as she brought her hand to Callie's face. With her other she undid her seatbelt and swung her legs around and over the other woman's.
Callie wrapped her arm even tighter around her body and held her, almost pulling her onto her lap.
The blonde took a breath and whispered against her lover's lips.
"So you've got a thing for air hostesses?"
"So have you apparently." Callie countered. "Maybe we should ask Annie back in here?" She asked suggestively before bursting into laughter at Arizona's face. "It was a joke darling."
The surgeon grabbed the collar of Callie's jacket and re-engaged her in the kiss.
"Good. You're all mine baby."
