It has been ten days since the message was sent to the Griffon Kingdom requesting an audience to be made with the current king of the nation. During that time, repairs have been made on not just Warfang, but other places as well, with the help of Spyro. A few times Ember has gone back to the Dragon Village, and helped the injured as well as spoke with Milal a little, and each of the times she has gone, Spyro has accompanied her.

Spyro and Ember weren't the only ones who have been productive other the ten days, as both Flame and Cynder have gone to their therapy sections each and every day. While not much has been accomplished, they still managed to get at least a little done.

Meanwhile currently at the gym of the Dragon Temple, Spyro was hard at work in a work out session. He hung upside down, his tail wrapped around a bar, as he let the rest of his body hang. Weights were wrapped around his arms and legs. Continually doing painful sit-ups back and forth. He can feel the muscles in his tail, chest, and even his arms and legs strain to lift the rest of his body up each time. Never the less Spyro painfully pushed forward and continued to do as many painful sit ups as he can.

Meanwhile outside the Dragon Temple, Ember approached the entrance looking around as she did.

"My Princess," called out a voice.

Ember looks to her left and saw Terrador walk up to her.

"What brings you here this morning?' Terrador asked.

"Oh morning Terrador, I was just wondering where Spyro maybe, we got a message back from the Griffin King this morning," She answered.

"Very well, Spyro is in the gym currently in one of my training sessions. Feel free to approach him and let him know of the news,"

"Thank you Terrador."

"You are most welcome my lady,' said Terrador with a slight bow before walking off.

Ember approached the gym and looked around for Spyro. Taking notice all the other dragons hard at work in their respective work outs. There was even a sparring session between a male Electric Dragon and Earth Dragoness. After a little searching she was able to spot Spyro at the far distance due to his purple color standing out.

"Spy…"

Ember stopped midsentence, as she watch Spryo work out. Her heart began to beat faster, as she watched his muscles flex, as he lifted his body. Her body begins to feel all tingly, the more she watched him, and a blush formed on her face. She quickly turned around, to calm herself. After taking a deep breath, she turned back around and called out his name again.

Spyro looked tilted his head up as far as he could trying to see who called his name. To his delight, he saw Ember standing near him. He released his grip with his tail and fell, turning his body to land on his front legs, and then falling backwards onto his back legs.

"Hey Ember, what's up? How are things with Milal?" he asked while removeing the weights attached to his arms and legs.

"He is doing fine,"

"Well I'm glad to hear that, and what of the Professor? Did he ever figure out what was wrong with his orbs?"
"The last time I saw him, he was doing fine, but he didn't tell me anything about them. I'm guessing that means that he is still having troubles,"
"I see, well I hope that he can figure things out," said Spyro.

"Yea. Oh also, we finally heard back from the griffon kingdom, and they wish to see us right away," Ember said.

"Alright then shall we be on our way?" Spyro asked. Ember nodded, and walked towards the door. Before Ember reached the door, Spyro ran in front of her, and opened the door for her with his tail.

"Thank you Spyro," said Ember to which Spyro only nodded, before walking behind her out the door. As they left the gym, they walked towards Spyro's room. Spyro knocked on the door, and they heard Sparx's voice on the other side, telling them to enter. When they entered Spyro's room, Ember noticed that Sparx was just lying in a small hemic, looking up at the ceiling.

"Hey Sparx, we are about to leave to the griffon kingdom, I was wondering if you wish to come?" Spyro asked.

Sparx thought this over for a bit before responding with, "You know Spyro, as amazing as it sounds, and I know all that you are doing there is talking to some old guy about some freak. So I think I'm going to have to pass on that. Besides, I need to even out the score anyways,"

"What do you mean by that?" asked Spyro.

"Well you already have a sweet gal of your own, and I'm just left hanging. So I think I should try to find someone like that as well,"

"Wow that is pretty mature of you Sparx," commented Ember. "That has to be the most mature thing I have ever heard you say in fact,"
"Yea, yea, yea, whatever. Just go on your little trip already," said Sparx as he got up.

"Hey Sparx?"

Sparx stopped at what he was doing and look down towards Spyro.

"Are you ok, are you sure?" Spyro asked with concern.

"Yeah I'm…alright, I'm sure. Don't want to get bored to death. Beside…I kind of…need this or some time to myself. No offense bro."

Spyro remain silent, slightly confused on why Sparx isn't himself. Sparx flew down up to Ember.

"Look after him for me ok?"

"I will,"

"Oh and…don't get too frisky alright guys. I still want to win that bet."

Spyro and Ember blushed as Sparx smirked and flew off. The two dragons soon left and flew off. As they were flying Ember asked, "So Spyro what kind of training were you doing back there?"

"It was the kind of training that the guardians had me do, while I was training," Spyro responded. "So has the Professor been working on anything else?"

"The last I saw of him he was working on something new, and he wants you to be his little test subject once again after we come back from the Griffon Kingdom,"

"That's good, I will be sure to head over there, afterwards," said Spyro before he pondered over something for a short moment. "Actually I think we should head over there now, I want to tell Milal that we are going to be away for a while,"

"Oh how sweet of you," said Ember with a smile. "Alright I will join you, but we really should leave as soon as possible, don't want to keep them waiting,"

The two then began to change their course and flew to the dragon village.

Meanwhile back in Warfang, Flame was also working out in the same gym Spyro was working out in not too long ago. He was standing on all fours, doing push-ups, while there were two weights strapped to his back. While he was working out, Cynder entered the room, after she had heard that Flame would be in there. She walked around a bit, before spotting him, his back turned from her.

A sly grin formed on her face, as she hatched an idea in her mind. Quietly she walked up to him, and just as she was right behind him, she stood up on her back legs, and leaned forwards, planting her front two paws onto his back, causing Flame to freak out by the sudden weight that was added. Flame quickly turns his head around and saw Cynder on his back with a smile on her face. She got off him, and walked by his side.
As Flame slid the weights off of him he said, "You know that is very dangerous to do right?"

"Yea, but I know you're a tough guy, so I knew you would be fine,"

"That is true. So anyway, what brings you here?"
"Oh not much, just looking for you,"
"Oh looking for me, I'm flattered. I know that my muscles, make me such a badass, but if you wanted to ask me out, you could of just ask, no need to be shy," Flame said sarcastically.

Cynder rolled her eyes. "Yea whatever you say there hotshot. If you are as big of a badass as you say you are, then I don't think that you would mind joining me in so flight training then?"

"I don't see why not, after you," Flame said as he gestured to the door.

Outside stood a giant opened arena with several pillars holding large opened rings, each of which stood close to one another almost in a zig-zag formation, making flying through each ring in order difficult.

"This is the flight training area, here people practice to perfect the art of flying," said Flame as he lead Cynder to the starting part.

"How does it work?" asked Cynder.

Flame's only response is a smirk as he flipped over a nearby hourglass and took off flying.

Flame quickly approached the first ring, and began to beat his wings faster. Just as he passed through the first ring, he quickly arched his body and turned at a sharp angle and flew through the second ring. He repeated this proses several more times as he flew through several more rings. Upon reaching the final rings, he was forced to fly higher to reach the hoops and just as he reached the peak he folded his wings tightly against his body and dove through the final ring. He then quickly spread his wings out to their fully catching himself before he landed softly on the ground.

Flame walked up to Cynder who was amazed at how well he flew. Flame picked up the hour glass and showed it to Cynder. It's score reading around seven minutes.

"The goal is complete the course as fast as you can, this hour glass counts how long it takes you," replied Flame as he flipped it upside down and waited for the sand to all pour into one side.

"Now let's see how long it will take you, think you can beat my score?"

With a smirk, Cynder gently pushed Flame aside.

"Move aside big boy and let me show you how it should be done," said Cynder as she spread her wings.

The moment Flame started the hour glass, Cynder took off flying.

Cynder mimicked Flame as best she could, from what she saw. She quickly flew through the first ring, and as she turned her body, she called upon her wind element to easily glide her body towards the next ring. She like Flame repeated this over and over as she went through more and more hoops, only she was able to turn her body, thanks to her wind element, more gracefully and smoothly. Reaching the final rings, Cynder pumped her wings as hard and fast as she could as she quickly ascended into the air through the hoops, before quickly pointing her muzzle towards the ground as she dived down to the final hoop. Just as she passed through it, she quickly used her wind element to land easily on the ground.

Flame smiled admiring Cynder's quick work of the course. He then looked at the hour glass, and from the looks of it, he estimated that she beat him by at least half a minute.

"Not bad," said Flame as he stared at Cynder's score, a little surprised that she beat his score.

"Thanks," replied Cynder with a sweet smile.

Flame looks back at Cynder.

"Well, it's pretty clear your good at flying, but how well do you think you ca try target practice."

"Oh shucks that'll be a piece of cake."

Flame smirked a little more as he raises an eye brow.

"We'll see," he answered as he opened the door for Cynder for them to find the target practice area.

Meanwhile Spyro and Ember had just arrived at the Dragon Village. They landed and soon find the Professor tinkering with some machine and next to him was Milal. The professor was the first to notice the two as they landed and waved at them.

"Hey Spyro, Ember," said Milal excited to see the two.

"Hello Milal, what are you doing here?" asked Ember confused as to why the young dragon was roaming around and not in bed resting.

"I'm helping the professor with this new invention of his," said Milal.

"Professor!" Ember said in a rather angered tone of voice. "Why are you testing on an injured child? He should be inside resting, not out here with you were there is a good chance, knowing your success rate, he will get hurt by your invention," Ember said as she continued to scold the mole.

"Really Ember it's fine, I don't mind," persuaded Milal.

"Ember if it would make you feel better, I promise you that it won't harm him in anyway. Heck, if you want, Spyro could do it, and not even a scale will be scratched. If that is alright with you Spyro," said the Professor.

"Yea I don't mind," said Spyro. "What do I do?"
"Well you got here just in time; I was just about to start it up. Come over here," Spyro did as instructed and stood in front of the machine. It was two pyramid-shaped poles
"What is this?" asked Spyro.

"Well I don't have a name for it yet, but so far the prototype name is called a power up,"

"Isn't that kind of a silly name?" asked Ember.

"Yes well it's the best that I could think of so far. I'm sure I will change it later, when it's done," said the professor just as he flipped a switch. When he did magical sparkles began to appear between the two pyramid-shaped poles. "Now just step on through,"

Spyro looked at the device, thinking how strange it looked but shrugged it off. He then walked through. As he was about half way through, he felt a strange tingling sensation, but then suddenly the machine shut down.

"What the hell?" said the Professor confused as to why it was shut off.

"Well it seems like you were right Professor, it didn't even scratch one of his scales," Ember chuckled.

"Im not sure what happened," said the Professor bewildered.

"Yea well, while you do that, we are going to take Milal home," said Ember.

"But I don't want to go just yet," said Milal with a frown.

"Well you still need to heal up, and if you haven't noticed, your leg is starting to swell up because you were walking on it," said Ember

"Come on Spyro help me out here," begged Milal.

"I'm sorry but I would have to agree with Ember on this one. I think it would be better if you get some rest,"

Milal sighed, "Fine, I guess,"

"Good, now I don't want you to walk on that leg, so you can lean on me, while we walk home,"

Milal did as he was told, and soon the three of them found themselves inside Milals home. His parents weren't home at the time, so Spyro and Ember took care of him themselves. They carefully helped him into his bed.

"Spyro can you make me a small shard of ice?" asked Ember. Spyro did as he was asked and created an ice shard and gave it to her. Grabbing it and wrapping a rag around it she said "Now Milal, I want you to keep this on your leg as best as possible till the swelling goes down got it?"

"Ok Ember I will," Milal answered as Ember laid the cold ice rag on his sore leg.

"Good boy. We have to get going soon, sorry we couldn't stay long," said Ember with a smile.

"You will come back as soon as possible right?" asked Milal.

"Don't worry we will," said Spyro with a smile before both he and Ember left the room. Milal watched them leave with a smile and slowly fell asleep.

As Spyro and Ember left, Flame and Cynder arrived at the Target Practice Arena. The Target Practice Arena looked very similar to the Dragon Dojo from the old Dragon Temple Cynder stayed at one time. The only difference being this area was much larger and much more opened.

"Welcome it the Target Practice Arena," said Flame.

"Kind of a dumb name for a room, don't you think Flame?"

"Yea it is, but I didn't come up with it so there is not much I can do about it," said Flame with a shrug. "Regardless, let me explain the rules. After I flip a switch several dummy's with appear and proceed to walk towards you. To knock them down you have to hit them on the target, which will be some were on the front of their body. Just knock as many down before they reach you, and who ever knocks down more wins,"

"And what do we get when we win?" asked Cynder teasingly.

"I will think about that later, but for now, you're up first,"

Cynder stepped into the center of the area and stretched herself ready.

"Ready…go!" yelled Flame as he pressed the switch on, and immediately one Ape Dummy with a target on its chest appeared. Cynder quickly turned towards it and fired a quick shot of Dark Fire to hit the target perfectly.

As soon as the Ape Dummy disappeared, two more appeared to take its place, and they charged towards Cynder as well. Cynder shot two more quick shots of Dark Fire at their target to kill them and three more appeared after the two were shot down. Cynder quickly spun around and shot two of the three targets behind her with Dark Fire. She twirled around to shoot the third one just as it was charging towards her.

Four more appear and quickly charge towards Cynder, and she quickly shot two faster approaching targets and blew a stream of dark fire at the next two targets. Five more appeared and dashed towards Cynder again. Cynder quickly blew a stream of dark fire at two of them before jumping in the air, twirling around to fire three more accurate dark fire shots at the other three targets. When she landed six more appeared and she fired three shots at three of the targets. However this time the targets dodged her shots, taking her by surprise.

She quickly jumped out of the way of their strike and blew a quick stream of dark fire at two of them. She quickly butterfly flipped out of the way of two more while firing two more dark fire shots at them. She quickly turned around and blew another stream of dark fire at the other two targets. Seven more appeared, this time with weapons.

Cynder quickly dodged two weapon strikes and followed up with a dark fire slash from her bladed tail on two of the targets. She jumped flipped in the air, and she twirled some more and fires rapid dark fire shots at three of the targets before landing in front of the last two and shot a stream of dark fire at them. By now she was breathing hard from getting tired. She was unable to rest however as eight more appeared as soon as she destroyed the last seven targets. This time they started throwing their weapons at her.

Cynder quickly shot their weapons out of the air before doing a dark fire comet dash to destroy the next set of eight targets. Immediately the next nine targets appear close to her this time. They start attacking as they appear. Cynder back flips over their attacks, while blowing shot after shot of dark fire at them. The last back flip has her twirl around blowing a stream of Dark Fire at the last four targets. Finally when the final round came, ten more appear.

Cynder took a deep breath and began to glide in the air, her body pulsating with energy. As soon as the targets came with point blank range, Cynder release a series of powerful shock waves of dark fire that disintegrates all ten of the targets before they even touch her. With the practice done, Cynder collapses on the ground and breathes heavily in deep exhaustion.

Flame to say the least was very impressed by how well Cynder did. When he saw the tired state she was in, Flame quickly grabbed her a bowl of water and some green crystals to restore her strength.

"Not too bad, Cynder, you were fantastic," commented Flame as he walked over to her, the bowl and crystals in his paws.

Cynder only smiled and nodded her head, too tired to properly reply to his comment. Once Flamed gave her the bowl of water and crystals, she quickly smashed the crystals, feeling the shards absorb into her scales, making her feel rejuvenated, but her mouth still felt dry so she took several laps of water.

Once she felt better she said, "Well I think it's your turn now, do you think you can do any better?" she asked with a devious smile on her face.

Flame smiled back before saying "Please, I could do it better then you any day,"

"Well then let's see if you can put your mouth were your tail is then," Cynder said as she walked over to the switch. "Ready?" Cynder asked, to which Flame nodded in return. "Then… begin"

Cynder flicked the switch as Flame stood at the center. An Ape Dummy target appeared just like the last practice test. Almost instantly, Flame spat a powerful fireball at the target. The fireball split into separate mini explosive embers the moment it hit the target. The mini explosive embers explode and destroy the rising two targets the moment they rose up.

Three more targets appeared and dash towards Flame. He quickly turns towards them and blew a powerful wide stream of hot fire and burned the three targets. When four targets appeared after the last three were destroyed, Flame began to shoot a fireball at each of them one at a time in each direction. When five targets appeared, they all leapt in the air towards him. Flame calmly waited until they were close enough before he did a powerful comet dash in the air towards them. The comet dash burned all five targets as Flame twirled high in the air.

While twirling, Flame shot fireball after fireball at each target at the six round as the dummy's rose up and jumped towards him. Seven targets appeared after he destroyed the last sixth target. The seven targets dash to Flame as he lands back on the ground. Flame waited for each one of them to get close where he dodges their attacks and blew another stream of hot fire on each of them one at a time.

When the seven fall, eight more appeared. Flame quickly began to shoot down at least four of the eight targets with his fireballs, but the other four that dodged his fireballs; Flame blew another stream of fire to burn them down. When nine more targets appeared, Flame looked at all of them and dashed towards them as they rush towards him.

Once close, Flame jumped flipped in the air, blowing another hot stream of fire that burned four of them down. Quickly he engulfs his whole body in fire and comet dashes to the ground to burn the last five. When the final ten targets appeared, Flame did something that took Cynder by surprise. Flame stood at the center as the last targets approached. He growled as massive amounts of fire rose up and then it exploded outwards. It strongly resembled how Ignitus' old fury attack performed.

This effortlessly burned the last ten targets to ashes. After finishing the final practice round, Flame breathed deeply as he sat down and rested from all that he did.

Cynder began to approach Flame, with green crystals and a bowl of water, and handed both to him. "That was very impressive Flame, I got to admit, you know how to fight pretty well,"

Flame took a moment to drink some of the water before picking it up and pouring the rest upon his head. "Thanks, I was taught a lot at the dragon temple, but my mother is the one who taught me how to use that fire furry," then Flame began to smile. "She told me after I first successfully did it, that it seemed a lot like my fathers," after he said that, he felt the rejuvenating effects as he smashed the green crystals.

"How long have you been practicing?" asked Cynder.

"Well I believe around six maybe seven years, I'm not entirely sure myself. But what about you, I mean I haven't seen fire nor heard of anything like that before, what was it?"

"Well I call it just dark fire, but I was never told what it was actually called. I learned a lot about it, when I was… well you know,"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up any painful memories,"

"Hey don't worry about it. Now while some memories of what happen still hurt, I have learned to forgive myself for most of them, though the therapy does help a little when it comes to that,"

"How is that coming by the way?" asked Flame.

"Fine, things are moving slowly, but I'm sure you understand. Say I'm kind of hungry after all of this training, what do you say we go get something to eat?"

Flame didn't have to ponder to long before saying "Sure I would love to, and I think I know just the place to go, come follow me," Flame then turned around and began to leave the room, with Cynder following right behind him.

Hours later, when the moon began to rise, we find Spyro and Ember sitting by a fire after an exhausting long day of flying, and the mere thought of flying another four more days only made them feel more tired. As they continued to sit next to the fire, Spyro was continually trying to recall the memories of when he first met Ember, but try as he might, nothing came. Spyro gave a quiet grunt as he was started to grow annoyed by his inability to remember those moments with her. In the end he sighed and gave up for the day, too tired to really give it much thought.

Much to his luck, Ember asked "So Spyro, how far out have you traveled? Surely while on your adventures, you have traveled great distances,"

Spyro pondered this over for a while before saying "You know I'm not really sure, I never really had a map on me to check. I just was pointed in a direction and headed that way. What about you have you been this far out before?"

Ember shook her head, "No I haven't, I wasn't ever really allowed to travel that far thanks to my parents," she said with a faint hint of spite, when she mentioned her parents, "The farthest I have ever been before now, would have to be to the dragon village,"

Spyro looked at her a moment, not sure how to respond.

"Spyro?" Ember asked.

"Yes Ember?"

"What's it like?"

"I'm sorry?"

Ember looked at Spyro with a small smile on her face.

"What it like to travel, going on adventures and everything?" she asked with a hint of excitement in her voice.

Spyro looked at her some more and sighed some as he rolled on his back and watched the stars.

"Well…Truth is Ember…It's not as exciting as it sounds or looks…"

"What do you mean by that?" Ember asked not sure what else to say.

"I'm tired Ember, I really am. Ever since I found out about who I am, and what I am prophesied to do I have been going place to place, helping others, facing challenges, each harder than the last. And just when I thought I could finally rest after defeating Malefor, I am thrown back into the mix with this Ripto fella, and not to mention this griffon who wants me dead for reason I wouldn't even begin to understand," Spyro stopped talking for a moment to let out a sigh of frustration.

Not only that, because of that griffon there could be another war, and we're still trying to recover from it. I just…don't get me, wrong I'll do anything and everything I can and will to do what needs to be done for the better of everyone. I just…I just wish I can rest from it, I just wish it just stops. But at this point, I don't think I'm ever going to get that opportunity because I know it's never going to end…"

"I'm…I'm so sorry that your experiences were so harsh on you,"

"Don't be, there is nothing that can be done to change it," Spyro said, with a very depressed tone in his voice.

"I know the world is hard deep down and it looks like things are never going to get better. But when I look around me and see how beautiful the outside is, I cannot help but think how peaceful the world can also be if given the chance.

"I don't see what you're getting at,"

Ember smiled at Spyro. "The world started off peaceful, it looks peaceful even with everything that's happened. I believe that the world can be peaceful once again. Also, after what you did shaping the world together, I think that time will come very soon," Ember answered with a sweet smile on her face.

"I don't know, things don't seem like there changing to me. How can you be so sure?"

"Well I just know that there is still good in a lot of people, you being one of them, and I know that even though there are still several people out there with evil intentions, but in the end I know that good will win in the end. I have seen it several times before, and I know that it will happen again. Even when things don't seem to be changing, in time things will. All we can really do is do our part, and wait it out,"

Spyro couldn't help but smile at her small speech. Now after hearing her perspective of things, it made him feel allot better. He had to admit, it make him feel like he was a little at peace right now.

"Thank you Ember, that helped allot, I'll try to start thinking that way some more myself.

A tiny blush formed on Ember's face as she felt a warm feeling in her chest, but she was happy none the less for helping Spyro out. "Well I'm glad to hear that,"

The two then sat there in silence, both not sure what to say. It wasn't until a short while afterwards that Spyro said,

"Well I guess we should turn in for the night, we still have a long journey ahead of us,"

"Yea, I guess you're right. Good night Spyro," said Ember as she curled up where she sat.

"You to Ember," Spyro said doing the same, and not to long after fell into a deep peaceful sleep.
