It's been nearly ten days since Spyro and Ember left for the griffon kingdom. Along the way they killed most of the time flying by talking to one another, and getting to know each other better. Over that time, the two formed a strong bond between them as friends.

For the past few hours one morning, both Spyro and Ember have been flying. As they continued to fly, Ember began to grow parch. "Spyro, do you have any water left? I'm all out of mine,"

Careful, Spyro checked the water pouch at his side, only to find that he was nearly out of water as well. Spyro handed her his pouch, and watched as she drank the rest of the water inside.

"Ember why don't we take a short break and refill our pouches?" suggested Spyro to which Ember only nodded her head.

They searched for a water source, and after a short while they found a small stream in the forest below them. They dived down, and landed safely on the ground. They removed their pouches and dipped them into the water until the pouches was full.

The two however didn't take off right away. Tired from flying so much, they decided to take a short break from flying to talk.

"So how close do you think we are to the griffon kingdom, surly we must be close by now," asked Ember.

"I'm not sure, but I bet we will see it sometime later today. I just hope we do sooner rather than later,"

"I can agree with you there, Spyro. This trip has been very tiring, and I'm not really looking forwards to the fly back,"

"You and me both Ember,"

The two stood still, both not fully wanting to fly some more at the moment. Then Ember suggested something.

"Say Spyro, how about we walk there for a while? It would give our wings some rest at least,"

Spyro pondered this for a while, but in the end agreed to it. "After you," he said politely. They walked in silence for a good few yards, before Spyro asked "So Ember do you have any idea what the griffon kingdom is like?"
"You know I'm not really sure. I have only heard a few stories about it, and I know that it rivals Warfang in terms of massiveness. Other than that, all I know is that my father once went there to ask for help against Malefor, but they turned him down, however I don't know why,"

"Well that is odd, I figured that anyone would try to defeat someone who was trying to destroy the planet," said Spyro.

"That is what I thought to a while ago, but I'm sure there is a good reason for that. If anything we can just ask them when we arrive,"

"Yeah I think that would be a good idea, maybe it might be connected with Griff somehow,"

"Maybe," said Ember not sure how to continue their talk. Before either one of them could talk about something else however, they heard the beating of wings ahead of them. Then several griffons came into view flying towards them. The griffons landed not too far away from Spyro and Ember, by a couple of yards.

Spyro noticed that there were five of them, four of which were wearing bracers, tail armor, and a full face helmet, while the last one was wearing the same thing, minus the helmet and his armor had a red tint to it.

"You must be Spyro," said the griffon with the red tinted armor. "I am the captain of this patrol group, and I was told to bring you to my majesty's, but I must ask, who is this accompanying you?"

Ember didn't say a thing, but instead just handed the griffon a small piece of parchment that she kept in another pouch. The captain took it, and began to read it. As he did, Spyro noticed that the other griffons behind looked nervous by his presence, but he didn't say anything about it.

"I see," said the captain. "My apology's your ladyship, I was not informed of your arrival," the griffon said with a small bow.

"That is quite alright, but if you would take us to the king and queen with haste please, that would be very helpful,"
"Of course, right this way," the captain said before taking off, indicating that he wanted them to follow him. They did, and after a bit of flying they saw the griffon kingdom up ahead, past the forest and on a small island. Like Warfang, the city sported many landmarks including a large road connecting it to the mainland. That and also the large tower in the center of the town that served as the palace with two smaller towers stand next to the center one. Along the rim of the city, ran a large wall protecting the people behind it. However one thing that stood out to Spyro the most was half of it was in ruins, as if some great battle, far more destructive then the one against the golem in Warfang.

"Welcome Skyclaw, or what's left of it at least," said the Griffon Captain.

Both Spyro and Ember wanted to ask what happened here but didn't know if it was ok to ask or not. As they can see a depressed look on the Captain's face along with the other Griffon soldiers who had their heads hung low.

They soon landed in the city and one of the first things that Spyro noticed was that everyone was scared, more specifically scared of him. Or at least that is what Spyro guess as whenever he looked towards anyone, they would avert their eyes or just turn around. He wasn't sure why the people were acting like this, but one thing he did know is that everyone was scared and afraid.

Another thing he noticed was all the heavy damage done to the building around them; most of them seemed as if they were going to fall apart at any moment. Spyro felt sorry for everyone, as he could only imagine what it was like to live in their place, trying to rebuild and just plain returning to their original lives.

There was however a small ounce of life left still thriving among the ravaged of the broken city. As Spyro saw a few children playing around in an open field, to which Spyro figured use to be a park or something similar.

Just then the sound of beating wings could be heard, as a griffon flew down in front of them. The griffon had teal feathers, dark grey beak and dark green eyes. He had medical bandages wrapped around his right arm, his chest, his left leg, and his left eye. From what they can tell, the griffon had suffered some intense injuries.

"My lordship is it wise to be walking around with such wounds?" asked the captain worried about the griffon.

"I shall be quite alright for now captain. My father informed me to greet out guests, and that is what I shall do," said the wounded griffon. He then extended a paw to Spyro, gesturing for him to shake it. "You must be Spyro, the purple dragon of this new generation. It's an honor to meet you in person. My name is Griver, heir to the throne after my father," said the prince.

Seeing his injuries, Spyro carefully took hold of Griver's paw and shook it, though Spyro noticed that the griffon prince grunted in pain a little as he did.

"It's an honor to meet you as well," said Spyro kindly.

Griver then turned to Ember and said, "And you must be lady Ember, how lovely to meet you as well," he said as he bowed to Ember.

"The pleasure is all mine," Ember said back with a bow.

"Now then, I am to escort the two of you to the throne you, captain you are to resume your duty," said Griver sternly.

"Right away, your highness," said the captain before he and his men turned and left.

"If you two will come right this way," Griver said as he took off, to which Spyro and Ember followed right behind him.

The soon found themselves flying towards the center spire, which they presumed was the castle. They flew in silence, which began to bother Spyro, so to break the silence he asked, "So what happened to this city?"

Griver looked behind him at Spyro. "Malefor attacked us, twice in fact. Once when he first came back and was freed from his prison, but he only sent his main forces at us. The second time happened nearly a month before you defeated him, but this time he sent not only his armies, but he joined them and brought a golem along with him. The battle was terrible, and left the city in a worst conduction then it is now,"

"Is that how you got wounded so badly?" asked Ember.

Griver gave a small chuckle before saying "Yeah that would by my own fault though. I was careless. Though it was a noble cause, what I did was foolish,"
"What did you do?" asked Spyro.

"I confronted the golem, thinking that I could defeat it. Though one of the reasons why I fought it was to buy my people time to escape, the main reason for wanting to fight the beast was because of peer hatred for Malefor, and I thought by destroying his pet, I could show him that we griffons are not the weaklings that he sees us as. Sadly though, the battle did not last long, as I soon found myself in the monster's tight grasp before being hurtled into the side of a building. I'm lucky to be alive really,"

The rest of the trip was in silence, until they reached to tower, were they meet a few guards before proceeding to the throne room. The throne room was not as big as the ones the dragons' have, but it was a very big size. In many ways it looked allot like a library with a bunch of book shelves and books. It even had a second floor above it. A few statues of Griffins were also present at a few places located in the throne room. It was nearly untouched by the two battles as it only had a few indications that a battle was fought inside.

"Let me go get my father for you two really quick," said Griver before walking up the staircase carefully.

While they waited Spyro and Ember began to examine the room some more, and they noticed that the room was in worst state then they thought it was. There were cracks all along the floor walls and ceiling, some of the tiles along the floor were slightly stained red from the blood that was spilt, and the walls were littered with holes form the weapons that pierced them.

"You know there was a time… when were much more powerful…" said a voice all of a sudden.

Spyro and Ember turned towards the stairs to see an elderly griffon walking down them. The griffon had white feathers, dark grey beak and dark green eyes.

"…But that was long ago," continued the elder griffon as he walked up to the two young dragons.

"In the absence of the King, I serve as the wisdom of Skyclaw. My name is Finyur, the advisor of the Griffon King," replied the Griffon advisor.

Finyur looked at the two dragons.

"You must have no end of questions, dragons. But before I can answer, I must extend my gratitude and say thank you for everything you have done for us, purple dragon," said Finyur as he bowed his head towards Spyro.

"It was nothing really, I was just trying to help the best I could, you don't have to thank me," answered Spyro.

"No, I do need to thank you. You stopped a war that we would not have survived from. You saved countless of lives that were beyond our help, and succeeded against impossible odds that we could never hope to overcome. And you did all this while risking your own life. For that, we all owe you a debt that could never be repaid," Finyur replied as he lifts his head up, a few small tears pouring from his old eyes.

Spyro remained silent as he continued to listen to the old Griffon, Finyur looked towards Ember.

"And you must be Drake's only daughter, Ember, on behalf of my all people we're honored to have you in our city. We're sorry for misjudging your father when he came, we should've taken his offer when we had the chance," Finyur replied as he bowed to Ember.
Just then a sheepish look formed on his face. "I am terribly sorry, but I never seemed to have asked you of your name," he said to Spyro. "You see I've grown to the age were names have become rather troublesome to remember. My apologies,"

Spyro smiled before saying "It's alright, no need to be sorry. My name is Spyro it's a pleasure to meet you,"

Suddenly, Griver returned with an adult Griffin who had light blue feathers, dark grey beak and other things, dark green eyes. He wore silver armor from his shoulders to his tail, and on top of his head laid a silver crown like helmet. Spyro, Ember, and Finyur turn to look at him. Finyur walked up and bowed his head to him. Griver sat down on a nearby chair, looking a little nervous as the adult Griffin looked irritated for some reason.

"What are you doing?" asked the adult Griffin.

"I apologies Temor, I was just welcoming our guests, and thanking Spyro," replied Finyur as he finished bowing his head.

"Spyro?' asked Temor.

"The Purple Dragon that saved our city and world."

Temor's eyes twitched a little.

"Did you also forget that it was a Purple Dragon that lead siege that nearly destroyed our city? Who slaughtered our people…AND LAUGHED!" Temor yelled in anger.

The sound of Temor's yell made Spyro, Ember, and Griver flinch as it echoed across the room. Finyur remained silent as Temor breathed heavily.

"I know my lord, I know, but that was the Purple Dragon Malefor. This is the Purple Dragon Spyro of this generation. The one the Dragons prophesied to stop the Dark Master," Finyur answered kindly.

"Prophesied? Where was he when the other Purple Dragon brought the Dark Armies to our door steps? Where was he when the Golem attacked the city and almost killed my son, your grandson?! Where was he when everyone was slaughtered like animals from that mad tyrant of powers?! Where was he…"

Temor stopped himself from finishing as tears began to form in his eyes and poor down his cheeks. This took both Spyro and Ember by surprise; it also bothered Spyro after hearing this. Griver himself looked sad seeing his father like this. Finyur remained silent but gently wrapped a wing on Temor's left shoulder and Temor looked at his with sad eyes.

"Forgive me father, I spoke out of term, I'm sorry, it's just…" Temor sadly said as he calmed himself down.

"I know son, it is every king's worse nightmare and to see it come true and being powerless to stop it is a witnessing of hell. Remember I too was king before you, and even though I'm long retired, it destroyed me just as much it has destroyed all of us. But we are still alive and our people are rebuilding. We have faced many problems in the past and though this one has proven to be the worst, we will overcome it like we've always have..."

There was a pause of silence in the room. A warm smile formed on the king's face, as he looked upon his father. "Thank you. All that is good in me, began with you, father," Temor's smile soon faded, as he looked back towards the two dragons in the room. "Finyur, why don't you take Griver to his chambers, he needs his rest if he is to recover quickly,"

"Right away, my king," Finyur bowed once more before calling over to Griver. "Come now child, your father wishes to speak to these two in privacy,"

"Yes Granddad," said Griver kindly as he slowly made his way to the stair case, and began to climb them followed by Finyur.

Temor watched until the two griffons left the room before turning towards Spyro and Ember. "So what did the dragon kingdom wish to talk to me about?

"Well, you see your lordship, we're not sure you may not like the news…" answered Ember nervously.

Temor remained silent before walking over to a nearby table and calmly pouring a drink in a chalice.

"I see…so it's one of those issues, can I offer the two of you anything? A drink maybe, you've traveled such a long time, I'm sure your both exhausted from the trip?" Temor asked calmly.

"Thank you for the offer, but we will be alright," said Spyro. "We have to ask though; do you know anyone by the name of Griff?

Temor stopped pouring his drink and remained motionless. Carefully he turns towards both Spyro and Ember.

"Well…that would depend, purple dragon. Because as it turns out, Griff is actually a popular name to use amongst our people so, me knowing anyone named Griff could be quite hard because there's allot of Griffins who share the name Griff," Temor said calmly as he took a sip of wine from his chalice."

"What I'm saying is I need details, but before you tell me them I want to let you two know something. I'm pretty sure Drake has told you that there is allot of history of bad blood amongst our races that's been going on for countless centuries. So we have almost countless of very serious issues. So…"

Temor carefully swirled his wine around in his chalice starring at his reflection.

"What serious issue has been stirred up requiring the Dragons to ask me about a Griff?" Temor asked.

Ember took a step forward and said "We were attacked by Griff, or at least Spyro was, and my father was wondering if you were declaring war on us,"

Temor chuckled a little sarcastically.

"Young lady look at us, does it look like we can declare war on the Dragons? Besides, between you and me the whole Dragon Griffin war in the first place was a dumb move on my people back then, because we should've known we couldn't fight against something that harness and use elements as powers. Besides, we've been dragged through hell and back with Malefor, and we're still counting the dead from far off battles. That's how bad it's been!" Temor yelled.

The yell scared Spyro and Ember a little. Temor carefully calms down and rubbed a paw across his face.

"Sorry, it really has been awful for my people. But no I'm not declaring war, I'm more concerned and worried about the current state my race is in after all this.

"Then maybe you can tell us more about him," said Spyro. "I don't know how but he was able to create these blue beams, and shockwaves, and his eyes would glow blue as well. I don't really know how to describe it; I have never seen anything like it before. Do you know anyone with such a power?"

"What are you talking about? We Griffins are powerful but we possess no form of magic or powers like you dragons do? Temor asked.

"What he is saying is the truth. This griffon possessed some strange power that none of us have seen before," Ember said

"Can you two described to me this Griff and the crime he's accused of?" Temor asked.

"Griff had orange feathers, and had a fringe that hung from the top of his face. He is charged for attempted assassination of Spyro here." said Ember.

"Are you saying that there is someone who has broken the treaty?" Temor asked, making sure he heard them correctly.

"We don't know, he just flew out of nowhere and just attacked me, he didn't say anything about what his reasons were or why, and he only seemed concerned about going after me," Spyro replied.

"Did he do anything else?" Temor asked.

"No that was it,"

Temor took another sip as he sighed a little in worry.

"How have you dragons taken to this? Because I swear to you both I know nothing about a griffin doing this and this not us declaring a war or trying to start something. This Griffin is doing things on his own without the knowledge of the rest of us." Temor said.

"I believe you," said Ember "And I'm sure my father will too once I explain everything. But there was one other thing we wanted to ask you, if it's ok with you."

Temor remained silent for a long moment.

"I guess, what do you want to ask Lady Ember?"

"Why did you refuse my father's help?"

Temor remained silent. He stared at his reflection through the wine as he twirled it around in his chalice.

"It was shortly after Malefor return. News had reached far and fast, but we didn't believe them. We didn't believe any of it. Drake came to me out of nowhere and uninvited. Being the Dragon King and someone I knew somewhat personally, I knew he wouldn't have bothered to make the trip and risk a few violations if it wasn't of vast importance," Temor took a short pause before continuing.

"He told me that Malefor had returned and if we were all going to survive we need to put aside our long differences. Now…what he was asking me, was he wanted us to join forces for something we at the time did not believed happened, we saw no physical proof. And he…was asking us…to put aside countless of yeahrs of bad blood for something that may or may not happened. And now because of our pride and stupidity, we've paid a terrible price."

Both Spyro and Ember remained silent for a long time before Ember could respond.

"Um…I mean…we're so sorry, my father had no idea…"

"No it's alright, in the end, it was my all my fault, because maybe if I had taken his offer, then perhaps Helora would be ok?"

"Helora?" Spyro asked.

Temor sadly looks towards Spyro.

"My wife…" Temor said sadly.

"If you don't mind me asking... what happened to her?" asked Ember.

"Thankfully at the moment she is only in a coma. A lot of her family was killed during the past battles, and I guess it was just too much for her poor heart to bear,"

Spyro and Ember fell silent not completely sure what to say. Spyro opened his mouth, but only closed it not sure what to say. It was Ember though who spoke up first. "I'm sorry to hear that, I hope that she wakes up soon,"

Temor managed a small smile before he spoke again.

"Thank you." The three remain silent for another moment before Temor finally looked back at the two.

"So about this…Griff character, the one with magical powers you say. I may know who you are talking about," said Temor.

"You do?" asked Spyro.

A smile of delight formed on Embers face as she said "What can you tel -?"

"But I'm not one hundred percent sure if it's the one I'm thinking of," Temor said interrupting her. "I do recall someone who sounds familiar to what you describe, but I'm not sure if he and his family are still even around. I would have to look into this a little more,"

"Is there really nothing you could tell us," asked Spyro slightly disappointed.

"I can tell you one thing and that is that whoever this Griff character is, he is doing stuff on his own accord, and that the griffon kingdom has nothing to do with it."

Spyro nodded his head, as he took in this information. "Alright, thank you for your time, your majesty,"

"You two are quite welcome, I apologies that I could not be of much help in such a matter,"

"You did the best you can I'm sure, but if you catch wind of anything regarding Griff, please do inform my father if you will," stated Ember.

"Of course, it's the least I could do for him. But I have one condition. Griff may have broken the treaty, but he is still part of this kingdom, and will be punished by only us. I don't want the dragons to do anything to him unless provoked. Understood?"

"I understand, and I shall tell my father of this. Thank you so much for your time and help," Both Spyro and Ember bowed once more before leaving the throne room.

Back over in Warfang, Cynder just entering Aditsan office and sat down.
"Well good morning Cynder," said the mole.

"Good morning Aditsan, what do you got for me today?"

"Well Cynder for this session I'm going to be telling you a single word and I want you to tell me the first word that comes to your mind, alright?"

"Sounds good with me," said Cynder.

"Alright then first word, Flight"

"Air"

"Dragon"

"Me"

"Mole"

"Ally"

"Guardian"

"Friend"

"Warfang"

"Safety"

"Spyro"

"Master"

"Gual"

Cynder didn't answer right away, not really sure what to think. Anger quickly formed in her body as she said, her voice filled with spite, "Dead" Cynder watched as her therapist scribbled stuff down. He then looked up at her and said,

"Alright Cynder, I got a few questions for you,"
Cyder did everything that she was told and answered all of his questions. And soon enough the session was over. Cynder walked out of the room, and found Flame standing outside.
"I take it went well," asked Flame.

"I would say so yeah,"

"Say why don't you and me head into town?" asked Flame.

"I don't know, what did you have in mind?"
"Nothing, just wanted to walk around is all. If that is alright with you that is,"

Cynder thought this over for a bit. "Yeahh I think I would like that,"
"After you then," Flame said as gestured with his wing towards the nearest exit. Just as They started to leave, Terrador showed up.

"Oh hello Terrador," said Cynder.

"Good afternoon you two. I do hope that things are going well in each of your therapy sessions?" Both Cynder and Flame nodded their heads. "Good, now I'm sorry Cynder but I have to speak to Flame for a moment,"

"Yeahh, what's up?" asked Flame. "Is everything alright?"

"Everything is fine, I just wanted to inform you that you will be one of the candidates to participate in the Succession," said Terrador.

"What is that?" asked Cynder.

"The Succession is a competition, that in the end will decide who will be the next Fire Guardian," stated Terrador.

Flame was speechless, surprised to hear this. It wasn't until a few moments later when words started to speak once more. "Terrador, would it be alright if we talked about this later?"

"But of course, is everything alright?" Terrador asked concerned.

"Yeah everything is fine, I… just need some time to think things through is all," said Flame before walking off.

Cynder quickly caught up to him, and the two walked in silence for a short while before Cynder asked "So is everything alright? I mean I figured that you would be excited to have a chance to become the next Fire Guardian.

"It's not that, it's just that it's a huge responsibility, and I'm not really sure if I'm ready for it,"
Cynder thought this over for a moment. "Well Flame from what I have seen, I think you would make for a great candidate,"

Flame was surprised to hear this. "Do you really mean that?"
"Of course I do. You showed me during our training with those dummies? You were extremely powerful and for someone your age, that means they have to be destined for greatness. Not only that but you are a very kind and considerate person. So I really do think that this is the greatness that you are destined for,"

Flame couldn't help but smile at her comment. "Alright I will put some thought into it," he said.

"Good, sadly it's getting late, and I need to head home, I will see you around Flame,"

"Bye Cynder," and with that said the two of them took off in different directions.

Later that night with Spyro and Ember, Spyro just came back from the forest carrying several sticks for a fire. He dug a small hole in the ground and placed the wood inside it before Ember used her fire breath to ignite the wood. They quickly huddled around the fire to catch its warmth. Ember was the first to talk.

"Well I'm glad to hear that the griffons and the dragons are not going to war,"

"Yeah that's great," said Spyro not fully paying attention.

"Is everything alright Spyro?" ember asked.

"What? Oh, yeah everything is fine, I'm just a little nervous is all,"

"About what?"

"Well it's great that there is still peace between the dragons and griffons, but I can't get my mind off of Griff. I mean who is he and why did he attack me?"

Ember thought this over for a short while. "I don't know but I'm sure in time all of your answers will be known,"

"Yeah I guess."

"You just need to keep your mind on something else for the time being. So Spyro what kind of fighting style do you use?"

"Well you see Ember I was trained by Ignitus the ways of Dragon Kata, but I have also mixed it with my own techniques,"

"Why did you do that?"

"Well while I lived in the swamp, I had to teach myself to fight, but then when I found out who I truly am, and what I am meant to do, Ignitus started to train me, and I just incorporated what he taught me with what I already knew,"

Ember nodded her head in response thinking about what to say next. "Hey if you don't mind could you teach me a thing or two?"

Spyro thought about this quickly before saying "Yeah why not I think it would be good for you,"

Before long the two had a few wooden training dummies set up. Ember took the liberty to draw various faces on them with her claw. She giggled a little at their various looks.

"Okay Ember, I'm going to teach you a little basic summersault move I know," said Spyro.

Spyro got in position and stands opposite from of one of the wooden dummies.

"Now, look at me."

Ember nods as she sits down. She can see his muscles tense under his skin. Spyro leaps into the air, doing a backflip while using his tail to smack the wooden dummy.

Wow that was amazing," said Ember as she blushes a little.

"Thank you, ready?"

Ember stands up to stand opposite to him, but far enough they won't get hurt.

"Okay, I'm going to guide you through it so watch me."

He performs the move again, but he tries to go as slow as possible, using his wings to keep aloft in midair. She nods as Spyro lands. Ember readies herself and propels her into the air, only to her land on her rear.

"Ouch."

Spyro walks over to her.

"You ok?"

The pink dragoness nods and gets on her paws again.

"Maybe we should start with jumping, here watch me,"

He tenses and jumps up, just higher than the dummies head and lands perfectly.

"Now try,"

Ember wiggles her rump back and forth like a cat about to pounce and she jumps, going higher than last time, almost as high as the dummies head. She almost manages to land on all fours, albeit almost falling over.

"It's ok, everyone always has trouble the first time but you did great, try again,"

Ember huffs as she jumps again, now jumping as high as Spyro did, and she nails the landing.

"Well done!"

She smiles, now feeling more confident.

"Ok, now for the hard part, the flip,

He stands next to Ember.

"Okay jump with me on 3. 1… 2 … 3"

Spyro jumps in unison with Ember. Spyro performs the flip, while Ember falls on her rear again.

She sighs as she gets on her paws.

"Ok, this could be tricky,"

She thinks for a moment.

"Well, I guess I could stand right next to you and guide your body with my mine… but I understand if that's not what you want," asked Ember.

She sat down as she started thinking. Ember wanted to learn this move, that way she could know how to fight a little like he did and not be helpless in an actual fight.

"Alright," answered Spyro

Ember looked up.

"Wait you mean…."

Spyro nodded.

"Oh… okay then."

Spyro moved over to her, touching her flank with his. Her skin and scales felt warm, the touch giving him tingles inside. Ember herself felt the tingles. She's never been so close to him before. He swallows and focuses on helping her, which helps a bit.

"Oh… okay Ember, do what I do,"

"Ok,"

She can feel his body tense up, she does the same. They jump in perfect sync. Spyro helped her with flipping, she does the flip perfectly and they both land on all fours, but Ember falls to the ground with a huff. Spyro is still stunned from the touch.

"Wow, I did it. I did the flip,"

She gets on her paws and looks at Spyro, who is clearly blushing from the pretty intimate contact. Ember giggles.

"Thank you for teaching me Spyro," replied Ember sweetly.

Spyro stumbles back and sat down.

"Anytime,"

He looks away shyly, Ember does the same.

When just turned back to look at him, she noticed that a Rynoc as sneaking up behind Spyro. "Spyro look out," Ember called out.

Spyro looked behind him but just as he did the Rynoc hit him in the head with his mace, and Spyro fell to the ground unconscious. Anger filled Ember's veins and she pounced on the Rynoc, trying to bite his throat off, but the Rynoc grabbed her muzzle before she could and threw her off. Before she could do anymore, another much larger Rynoc came into view and smacked her aside with his arm. Ember flew back and hit her head on a tree. Her world began to spin before turning to black.
