Three years ago, back before Malefor was released from his imprisonment, Ember was sneaking out in the middle of the night. Her parents cared for her deeply and were afraid that she would get hurt during the war, so they kept her inside all day. The middle of the night was one of the few times when she was able to sneak out.
Being as quiet and careful as she could, she snuck through the hallways towards the closest window that she could fit through or balcony she could jump out of.
It took her some time, but when she found one, she jumped out and took flight into the night sky.
She flew far beyond the safe walls that surrounded Warfang and towards the near by forest. When she landed she looked up into the night sky. Something about how the millions of dots in the sky look even more heavenly with the tree tops in view. Suddenly she heard movement in the bushes near her. Before she knew it, an ape jumped out before her, and grabbed her with a tight hold.
She tried to struggle but it was fruitless as the ape dragged her across the forest ground. She screamed for help but when she did no one showed up. Just then she felt the ape pick her up before dunking her into the cold water. Ember started to gasp for air, only for her lungs to fill with water. She tried to reach for fresh air only for the ape to tighten his grip around her neck.
Just as she thought that she was going to drown, she felt the ape let her go. Taking the chance to finally breathe fresh air, she rose up from the water gasping. She began hacking and coughing up water. She nearly felt like vomiting but managed to keep it down. By the time she walked back onto the shore she was gasping for breath. She heard movement near her, and she quickly flinched, looking towards who was near her.
She nearly began to cry in happiness when she saw a dragon before her instead of the ape.
"Hey are you alright?" the dragon asked?
Ember couldn't see the dragon very well thanks to the shadow the trees were casting. Walking closer she saw that he had purple scales. "Um yeah I'm fine now, thanks for saving my life,"
Ember suddenly awoke from her dream and when she did she realized that she fell asleep on Spyro.
'Oh no, I hope he isn't mad at me,' Ember thought worried.
Just then the door to her room opened up and in walked in her mother Lexie.
"Mom what are you doing here?" asked Ember surprised to see her mother and not a guard enter her room. "Where did Spyro go?"
"I just wanted to see if you were awake yet is all," Lexie said calmly. "Spyro fell asleep beside your bed and he woke up about an hour ago before leaving to let you sleep in peace. Anyway, how are you feeling sweaty?"
"I'm doing fine mom, thank you,"
"I'm glad. I'm going to let you rest some more if you need to," Lexie said before leaving the room.
Once she left the room, Ember reached under her bed and pulled out a small book that was her diary.
"Dear diary, a wise dragon once said, a first experience might not always be what you expect. It has been a couple of weeks since I've last written on here, and a lot has happened. I'm relieved to write that the Griffons are not connected to the Griff character and do not want a war at all. In fact they may want actual piece this time. However, the trip wasn't all good. After Spyro and me were captured by this Ripto figure, we were forced into some…I rather not say, but some pretty horrible situations. Never the less, Spyro was able to me through it every step of the way. And once again I'm eternally grateful to his kindness. So much that yesterday I confessed a little about how I've always felt about him. To my surprise he didn't get creeped out or anything, he stayed with me the entire night. I'm so blessed to know such a wonderful dragon such as him, I'm so thankful for all his help and kindness. Until next time, Ember."
Satisfied with this, Ember closed the book and placed it back in its hiding spot. Then slowly Ember started to stand back up, trying to put as little weight on her leg as possible. When successful, she eased her way out of her bed and onto the floor, before carefully walked towards the door. On the other side Ember began to walk through the hallways, enjoying the peaceful morning. As she walked through the halls, she walked by Terrador.
"Good morning Terrador," she called to the Earth Guardian.
"Good morning to you as well," Terrador replied. "Say, have you seen your father around, I have been looking for him,"
Ember shook her head. "I'm afraid not, I merely woke up not to long ago. Why do you ask?" she asked wondering.
"With the Succession coming soon, I need your father to take part and judge it," he said with is usual deep calm voice.
"Hm, maybe he is in the library?" Ember questioned not really sure where her father would be.
"I will check there in a moment, but before that I have to ask, how are you feeling?" Terrador asked referring to her broken leg and wing.
Ember smiled happy to know that he cared. "I'm doing fine, thank you for asking,"
Terrador nodded his head before saying. "Good to hear. Now then I must be off,"
Going on her merry way, Ember wondered around the palace for a bit longer, when suddenly she saw Spyro.
"Hey Spyro," Ember called out before rushing over to him. While walking quicker to reach him Ember accidentally tripped and fell onto the floor. Hearing her voice Spyro turned around and ran over to her when he saw her on the ground.
"You all right Ember?" he asked making sure she wasn't hurt.
"Yeah I'm fine, I just wasn't looking where I was walking," she said with a slightly blush on her face.
"How is your leg and wing?" Spyro asked making sure they were fine as well.
"They feel fine, really Spyro it was only a small trip nothing to bad," she replied with a smile, loving the fact that Spyro was concerned for her. "How is your shoulder doing?" she asked seeing bandages around it.
Spyro smiled. "It is doing fine, nothing to complain about," the two quickly found themselves in a bit of an awkward silence. After a few moments Spyro asked "So I'm still kinda new here, mind showing me around?"
Ember shook her head "I don't mind at all. Come along, I will give you a tour myself,"
With that said the two started to tour around the palace. Along the way, they ran into Drake as he was walking by.
"Oh hey dad, Terrador is looking for you," Ember said with a warm smile.
Smiling back King Drake said "Hello Ember. I am aware that Terrador is looking for me. I was just about to head over to where he is at this very moment," Also noticing Spyro was along with his daughter Drake asked, "So what are you two up to?"
Speaking up for Ember, Spyro said, "Ember is just giving me a tour of the palace is all,"
Drake smiled. "Ah yes, I am glad that she is. It will be good for you to remember the layout of the palace," A smile was growing on Drake's muzzle when he said this.
"What do you mean by that dad?" said Ember confused.
"When you two become mates of course," Drake said bluntly. "Oh my little girl finally finding someone to call her own and to rule the kingdom along side with. It's every father's dream," Drake said holding back a snicker when he saw their blushing faces.
"Honey?" Lexie called out as she walked up from behind Drake.
"Oh I didn't see you there dear," Drake said with a delightful smile.
"Leave the kids alone, you have important matters to attend to," she said sternly.
"Yes dear," he said in defeat before walking away.
Leaning towards Spyro and Ember, Lexie said, "Don't listen to him, he is just trying to embarrass you two. Now why don't you go have fun?"
Soon after Lexie left after her husband, leaving both Spyro and Ember confused and embarrassed.
Turning to Ember Spyro asked "Um... What just-"
"Don't ask," Ember said quickly want to avoid the question. "Lets just get on with the tour,"
Walking around the palace Ember showed Spyro several different rooms. From the large library, to the servant quarters. As they continued to walk around, Spyro couldn't help but look and stare at a certain feature on Ember, her butt. He wasn't sure why but something about just made him want to look at it.
She had a very wonderful plump bubble butt. The round and plump cheeks seem perfect in his eyes which was a first for him because he's never been into that kind of thing. Come to think of it this is the first time he's actually noticed a female dragons butt before. He wanted to look away but for reasons he doesn't know why, it was almost like her butt and a hypnotic effect on him.
Something about how each one moved and jiggled ever so slightly every step that she took, just made him want to gaze upon it more. Even the way her hips moved and swayed with each movement along with her butt as it jiggled and clapped with every step she took was even more tempting to look that he just couldn't take his eyes off it no matter how much he tried.
Then their was her tail, and the way it swayed back and forth, causing more movement in her butt, just made it all the better. In the back of his mind Spyro just wanted to lay his head down on top of her bottom.
As Spyro smiled warmly as he continued to look at Ember's bottom, Ember called to Spyro. When he didn't reply Ember craned her head around, looking at him. She noticed that he was staring at something but she couldn't tell what. "Hey Spyro wake up," Ember shouted snapping Spyro out of his thoughts.
"What?" Spyro asked, a blush clear on his face.
"You were spacing out Spyro, is everything alright?" Ember asked concern.
"Oh yeah everything is just fine, no need to worry," Spyro said trying to play off what he was doing.
As they continued their tour, Embers broken leg started to acted up and hurt so she requested a rest. Stopping for a moment from the tour, Ember and Spyro sat in front of a statue of an old fire dragon.
"So who is this guy?" Spyro asked.
"That is Ildred, the founder of Warfang, and my great, great, great ancestor," Ember stated.
Looking closer, Spyro did notice a few resembles. While thinking this, Spyro then noticed that Ildred did not look anything like her father.
"Hey Ember why is it that Ildred doesn't share any characteristics with your dad?"
"Well you see, my father is not of royal blood,"
"What do you mean by that," asked Spyro confused.
Ember smiled before explaining. "Well you see my father was not born a prince. My mother was given birth by my grandmother and when she was older one day she met my father. Eventually they fell in love and got married, therefor making him the new king,"
Spyro thought over the story he was told. "So anyone can become king or queen as long as they marry into royal blood?" he asked, earning a nod from Ember.
Spyro found himself a little interested in the subject so asked to know more. "So tell me more about you dad,"
Ember thought for a moment. "Well you see, he was in the military as a special force officer, before being promoted to body guard. If you could have guess he was tasked to body guard my mother, which is how they met. It is also because of his background that we have a sparing area in the palace, which as the next destination we were going to head off to," Ember said, giving Spyro time to process this information.
While Spyro seemed calm on the outside, he was panicking slightly on the inside. Here he was staring at the Dragon King's daughter's butt not to long ago, and guessing from his background, Drake could have probably done some major damage to him if he wanted to. Spyro shivered at the thought.
"Alright well my leg feels better now," Ember stated. "Shall we continue?" to which Spyro nodded. They walked to the end of the hallway before Ember opened a pair of double doors, which led to the sparring arena. Ember sat down near the doorway, seeing as she already see the room several time before while Spyro wondered off slightly to gaze up the large room that was full of decorations along the walls, several tapestries, and a large mural of several dragons fighting on the ceiling.
While Spyro looked around the room, Ember focused on Spyro as she began to stare at his body.
She had seen his body multiple times. He still had his usual lean body, however she's noticed that he's gotten more muscular. Even his wings have gotten slightly more muscular. She wasn't sure how, she could only guess he must've gotten them during their long journey not too long ago.
From his sturdy looking chest to his strong back and beefy legs, Spyro seemed to be as fit as ever. Of course she had seen much bigger muscles from either her dad or some of the bodyguards. Yet she liked how lean he was while noticeably muscular. Not only that but she knew that he was still young and as he would get older, he will only become more and more muscular. A blush formed around her face as she was beginning to think what they must feel like.
"Everything alright Ember?" Spyro called, pulling Ember out of her thoughts.
"Oh uh, nothing." she said trying to stay calm. "My leg was just acting up is all. Say, why don't we head off to the courtyard for some lunch?" she asked changing the subject.
Spyro looked at her for a moment before shrugging. "Sure why not. I'm getting a little hungry anyway,"
Ember showed him the way to the courtyard and soon they were there. The entire location was guarded by massive white-stone walls and gold-crested ramparts. The trees held gold, brown, and red leaves, scattering them along the grassy courtyard of the castle. An underground stream ran through the area, rising into a marble-carved pool for guests to enjoy a swim. A few spiral-cased structures sat here and there along the grass. There were a few elevated platforms, that overlooked the area.
"Wow its really pretty here," Commented Spyro.
"I'm glad that you like it," said Ember. "It didn't always look like this actually,"
"Really?" questioned Spyro.
Ember nodded. "It use to be a training area, but then my parents had it remodeled and gave it a more welcoming courtyard feel to it,"
Taking a seat near the pool the two were quickly served as a waiter came up to them. After ordering their meals, they waited for the waiter to return. To kill some time while they waited Spyro asked
"So was your egg with the others when the hatchery was attack by Malefor's army?"
"My egg was actually laid on the night of the raid," said Ember. "As part of tradition, my father was to bring me to the temple, but when he got there he saw that it was under attack. He went back to the castle and brought with him reinforcements. After that my parents grew over protective of me after I hatched for several years,"
"Why were they like that?" asked Spyro.
"Well they were scared that they nearly sent me to be killed like so many other eggs that year. Over the next several years I could hardly do anything without them breathing down my neck,"
Just then their food came along, and placed in front of them. The two of them ate in a slightly silence talking to each other in between bites.
"Your parents don't seem to be all that over protective anymore," commented Spyro before taking another bite. "What happened to change that?"
Ember waits for a moment to swallow the food in her mouth before speaking. "Well over time they just got less and less protective,"
Spyro nodded his head before eating more food. "Tell me more about your mother," he asked.
"Well my mother was the one who taught me everything I know about healing," Ember stated before nibbling on her food once more.
"Really now?" Spyro asked surprised. "Why does you mother know how to do that?"
"Well as you know my father was her body guard. So my mother thought it was her duty to patch him up every time he was hurt, and she just learned by doing that," Ember said calmly.
"Well that is really interesting to hear," Spyro said with amusement from her story.
"What about your family?" Ember questioned. "What are they like?"
"Well," Spyro said with a pause. "I don't know who my real parents are,"
"Then who raised you?" Asked Ember.
"A family of dragon flies. Flash me adoptive father and Nina my adoptive mother, raised me since I hatched,"
Ember was still confused. "But I thought your egg was taken to the dragon temple?"
"Well it was, but on the night of the raid, Ignitus took my egg and set it down a stream were after some time floating Flash and Nina came across it. Not to long after they found me I hatched, which surprisingly enough was followed by Sparx being born on the same day," Spyro informed her.
Ember nodded her head. "I have to say Spyro that has got to be one of the sweetest stories I have heard from a dragon," she admitted with a sweet smile.
A shiver ran down Spyro body, as he felt the tiny legs of an incest crawling along his scales.
"Is everything alright?" Ember asked confused by Spyro's squeamish body movement.
Spyro smiled at her. "Yeah I'm fine, I just have a little bug friend walking on me," Moving his head down below the table, Spyro saw the little creatures swiftly moving along his leg. Catching it with ease, Spyro was about to let it go when he noticed Ember's large hips. He thought about how easily those hips would carry and lay an egg. Then he felt a temptation to move his head move to the left to see the cavern that was in between her legs. Shaking his head to remove such thoughts, Spyro let the bug go before rising back up from beneath the table, a large blush on his face.
"You sure you are alright?" Questioned Ember as she saw the look on his face.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," Spyro said embarrassed still.
Ember looked at Spyro with supposition but shrugged it off shortly after. The two of them spent the rest of the time eating their meal in silence. It wasn't until they finished eating that Ember spoke up. "So Spyro how about we get some apples for dessert?" she suggested. Spyro thought this over for a moment before shrugging.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind a taste apple,"
Smiling Ember led him to the nearest apple tree. Sitting down Ember asked, "Spyro could you get me one? My leg isn't in the best climbing condition," she said with a cute sheepish grin.
Spyro smiled and gladly started to climb the tree. Among the green leaves and breaches, Spyro searched for the reddest of apples. Then he found it on the tip of a thin branch. Carefully walking along it Spyro reached out and grabbed it, but just as he did he heard a snapping sound followed by him falling as the branch snapped in half from under him. Spyro landed on the ground with a thud and Ember quickly ran over to him the best she could.
"Spyro are you alright!" Ember asked worried.
Spyro didn't answer, as his mind was dizzy from the fall. When he heard Ember's voice however he lifted up his paw and handed her the apple he picked. "Here you go," he said with as his dizziness slowly went away.
Seeing that he was all right, Ember giggled a bit. Noticing that there was another apple lying on the ground, Ember walked over, picked it up, and gave it to Spyro.
As Spyro slowly rose back up he noticed the apple "Thank you Ember," Ember smiled before taking a bit of the apple. The two sat there enjoying the fruit when Ember asked Spyro a question.
"So are you and Cynder... you know," she asked sheepishly.
"Hu? Me and Cynder? What do you mean?"
"You know..." Ember said looking away. "Dating?"
"Huh, oh. No we're not dating, we're just really close friends,"
"What? I thought you two…were? she asked a little confused.
"Well…no not really, that's a bit of a common rumor,"
"Have you ever…"
"What?"
"Had…feelings for Cynder?" Ember asked with her face blushing a little.
Spyro looked at Ember and smiled a little.
"No, never in that kind of way. You see, I do love Cynder, but as a sister. Because in a way, we kind of are siblings. Is she beautiful, yes I think she is beautiful and a wonderful dragoness. But she's more like a very close friend and sister to me," Spyro answered shyly.
Ember looked at Spyro still surprised. "Wow, I'm shocked to hear that. I mean you two just seem perfect for each other," she said slightly gloomy.
Spyro notice Ember looking a little sad so he nudge her gently, grabbing her attention a little. "Everything ok?" he asked.
"Oh yeah everything is just fine, just got something in my eyes a little, nothing too bad or anything," she answered trying not to show any more sadness.
Before Spyro could ask further Lexie showed up. "Now what are you two up to?" she questioned.
"Oh hello mom, shouldn't you be helping dad?" Ember questioned.
Lexie shook her head. "You father will be find on his own, besides I wanted to know how you're doing," she asked referring to both of their injuries.
"I'm feeling much better now," said Spyro smiling kindly.
"My leg is still a bit sore but other then that I am also fine. Thank you for asking mom." said Ember.
Lexie nodded her head. "Oh I just remembered that I wanted to ask the two of you something."
Ember tilted her head. "What did you wanted to ask us?"
"Have the two of you kissed yet?" Lexie said jokingly.
Spyro began to choke a little on the apple but he was munching on while Ember blushed bright red and hid her face in her wings. Lexie laughed light heartedly at their expressions.
Spyro stood up, his face still red. "Well I actually should be going, I need to check up on Sparx. Need to make sure he doesn't make an ass out of himself again." In truth Spyro did need to see Sparx but he also felt that he was making this awkward for Ember.
Moving her wing out of the way, Ember said "Alright Spyro, thank you for keeping me company these few hours,"
Spyro just nodded before taking off. As Ember watched him go, Lexie walked up beside her and draped a wing over her. "No need to look sad dear. I know that he likes you a lot." Ember didn't say anything, still rather embarrassed. "Now then," Lexie continued. "Lets take a look at that leg,"
Spyro quickly flew and found himself back at his room in the temple. Upon opening the door he found Sparx messing around with a lock. "What are you doing?"
"Picking a lock," Sparx said casually.
Spyro nodded his head before deciding to take a nap. Lying down upon his bed he closed his eyes. As his mind started to drift and soon he fell asleep. In his dream he found himself and Ember flying through the skies, large smiles on both of their faces as they laughed and played. They flew around each other and past one another several times. Soon they landed onto the ground and lay there happy. Slowly they moved their muzzles closer and closer to each other just about to kiss.
"Hey Spyro!"
Spyro instantly woke up from his dream at the sound of his name being called. Looking around he saw that Sparx was the source of the noise. Spyro was annoyed to be awoken from a nice dream, but he didn't show this, "What is it Spark?
"Up and adams sleepy beauty, how're you?" Sparx asked with a sly grin on his face.
"Tired," Spyro replied showing a bit of his anger.
"Sorry if I was interrupting. So what all did you do to make you so tired?" Sparx asked as he flew over to a bowl close by and laid back.
"Nothing, I just wanted to take a nap is all," Spyro said as he closed his eyes again.
"Oh ok, so how was your special visit with the dragon princess?"
"Decent I guess. We hung out and ate some lunch," he said as he slowly dozed off.
"Is that all?" Sparx asked with his smirk growing more.
Sighing, he opened his eyes he looked and Sparx and asked, "What are you getting at Sparx?
"Well there I was about to take a nap myself after a few hours of locksmithing and picking. And just as I flew in the room, I saw you just lying there normally. Now at first I didn't think anything of it. But then you all of a sudden moaned Ember's name. And when I say moaned I mean it sounded like you wanted more type of moan. So I was just wondering have you and her done anything," Sparx asked as he looked at Spyro, his smirk growing even more.
Spyro rolled his eyes. "We haven't done anything Sparx," he replied still slightly annoyed.
"Maybe or maybe not, but either way you're falling for the princess my purple friend," replied Sparx. "It's only a matter of time before you're going to want to tap that royal tail of her's,"
Ignoring his last comment, Spyro closed his eyes again and fell back asleep.
"And you're even wanting to go to sleep just to dream about her more. Admit it bro, you really are starting to fall for her," Sparx said with a small laugh. Spyro pressed his pillow against his head, in hopes for a more peaceful and quiet sleep.
"Oh come on Spyro don't be like that, share the details with your brother come on. Did you at least get a nice look at her ass?"
"No Sparx I didn't," Spyro lied in hopes of ending this conversation quicker. "Now could you please just let me sleep?"
"Alright, alright I'll leave you alone to let you fantasies about her. But just know our bet is still on, and I'm still ahead of you." Sparx finished as he decided to take his long deserved nap. As Spyro laid there in the comfort and peaceful quiet bed, he couldn't help but wonder was he actually falling for Ember? He noticed that he has been staring at her more often then before especially at her rear, but there was also her eyes, and her silky scales that just made him smile in delight. And then there was her personality that simply made him happy to be around her. From her caring smile to her peaceful voice, it was all breathtaking to him. Then he thought to himself.
"Maybe I am falling in love,"
