.: Day One Part 1 :.
3rd POV
After the long and excruciating 'Day Zero,' or that's what Naruto named it to be, he awoke early morning to the bright sunlight that lit up his room… and the smell of horrible paint.
"I need to get some febreeze.." the blonde mumbled to himself as he sat up, rubbing his eyes. His nose scrunched up cutely when he took another whiff of the air, quickly regretting the decision. The Uzumaki didn't usually wake up to the bright beam of sun, or horrible smells.. but the sound of a booming alarm ringing at six a.m. in the morning does, just great. Most would think the wall separating the two rooms would block out the sound of an alarm, it doesn't. "These walls are too thin.." the blonde cried on the inside.
He fumbled his way out of bed, the sheets that pooled around his feet were an obstacle to the drowsy Naruto.
The alarm clock was still roaring strongly before it stopped a few moments later, and Naruto heard mumbling.
"Stupid alarm…" Sasuke mumbled next door, loud enough for Naruto to decipher.
After 'Day Zero' Naruto was still confused, the only plan he made was to avoid the Uchiha. Well he did think of it when he was trying to get to sleep, a tired Naruto doesn't make great plans. Maybe he could ask to go to America for a few ….. years so he wouldn't have to go through this crap! Naruto sighed as he shook the idea out of his head, the only realistic thing to do was to go with plan A, avoid. It was only a fifty-fifty chance this plan would work, since they now live under the same roof it wasn't going to be a walk in the park. He knew Sasuke would be irritated if he suddenly started to dodge his every approach, but hey, the Uchiha did say there weren't really any rules.
Naruto stepped off the bed before lethargically walking to the unframed stand up mirror that leaned against the wall. He stared at his petite figure before crying on the inside again. He cursed the lord for his lack of height before he walked over to the balcony door, quickly unlocking it before stepping out in the cool morning wind.
He smiled as the sunrise shaded in the color of the woods around him. He rested his arms on the marble railing before leaning in, enjoying the cool breeze blow through his hair like fingers of an angel.
He sighed and he dared to look to his right where Sasuke's room was. To his surprise the balcony door was wide opened, the white curtains flowing through. He stared, waiting for the tall and pale person to walk out of the door, his anticipation getting the better of him. Soon afterwards, Naruto realized that he was acting like a regular high school girl, waiting to see the boy she li-.
Wait.
What?
Naruto shook his head, he was not going to say that was he? Naruto laughed before he shook his head. How stupid. He thought to himself.
Him? Falling for that arrogant and bastardy person, it was beyond his imagination, and his imagination was vast.
But he still continued to stare at the balcony door, for minutes he stared waiting for Sasuke to walk out with his dark locks and pale skin….
Naruto sighed after waiting a little while longer.
He probably just left the door opened last night… He thought. Naruto turned his heels and started to walk back into his room, before he caught movement at the corner of his eye. Naruto looked over his shoulder and saw Sasuke, smirking his usual smirk, his head resting against his palm as he looked at the blonde with wild amusement. The Uchiha, to Naruto's displeasure, wore a white buttoned shirt that was wide opened, letting Naruto drink in everything.
Across the balcony, Sasuke greeted," Good morning, Naruto," he slurred the words out in a seductive manner. His smirk grew wider when he noticed Naruto eyeing his chest and stomach before looking at his face.
Naruto just stared at him for a while, trying as much as he could not to blush before he greeted back a plain and quiet "Morning" and walked back into the room, shutting the balcony door closed.
Sasuke continued to smirk before he made his way back into his room. It's adorable how he tries to hide his emotions. He thought.
Naruto was standing in front of the mirror again, eyeing himself before remembering the scene that had just been played before him. His eyes widened as he remembered the toned chest and muscled stomach before he fell to the ground, his hands on his face trying to hide the wild blush from himself. He would not look at himself blushing like a school girl. Absolutely not! It took him his all to not blush in front of the raven, he didn't want to raise the Uchiha's self-confidence because that would be total hell for Naruto in the near future. After trying to remember his old P.E. teacher, Gai-sensei, back in highschool wearing nothing but a speedo, he quickly shivered and the image of Sasuke's exposed torso quickly left his mind. Naruto looked up at the mirror once more, before he quickly looked away and stood up, rushing to his closet and walking inside. He looked around grabbing whatever looked and felt comfortable before he stripped completely. He messily threw the clothes on and walked out of the closet and room altogether, but not before he checked himself in the mirror once more. He closed his door before turning around and leaning on it, looking around down the hallways.
"Which way was to the bathroom again…?" he mumbled to himself before he guessed it was the one right in front of his room. He walked down the lit hallway before opening a door, which he guessed correctly, was the bathroom.
He stepped inside, locking the door behind him and walking over to the broad sink counter. he looked around, his eyes landing on a back of toiletries with a sticky post-it note attached to it. He plucked the note off before reading it to himself.
Dear, Naru-chan, Naruto instantly guessed it was from Mikoto.
Feel free to use anything in this back and take it back to your room. If you need anything else, just ask me.
Come down for breakfast afterwards
Mikoto.
Naruto crumbled the small piece of paper, throwing it in the trash before he unzipped the clear back and grabbed out a toothbrush. He was satisfied when he found the toothpaste and cup on the counter in the corner.
He started washing himself up before he found a small comb in the bag as well fixing himself up some more before he was satisfied with what he saw in the mirror.
Naruto packed everything back in the bag before walking back to his room quickly, placing the bag on the desk before he walked out again, closing the door then. He rushed down the hall, walking down the stairs slowly, he didn't want to trip, fall, and embarrass himself already in front of everyone.
Naruto looked around the house before he familiarized the path to the kitchen and dining room. He walked over and found everyone inside, everyone except for Sasuke.
Mikoto was at the stove, cooking something that made the air smell good. Itachi and Deidara were seated at the counter in front of Mikoto while Fugaku was sitting at the table behind the other three.
Mikoto looked up from the large silver pot and smiled brightly," Naruto!" she sang-song happily. Ever since she heard about her dear little Sasuke falling in love, she was ecstatic, and now that she finally is able to see that special someone everyday made her bubble with joy. "Are you hungry?" she asked happily. Naruto shook his head and looked over at the mostly empty table, and then the last seat at the counter.
He decided to sit at the counter, the smell of the food leering him in. He sat next to Deidara, the other blonde giving him a sly smile. "Morning, Naruto!" he greeted energetically.
"Good morning, Naruto." Itachi then followed suit, they both looked at the youngest-soon-to-be Uchiha.
"M-morning… Deidara-san, Itachi-san.." he greeted back to them quietly.
Fugaku cleared his throat behind them, flapping his newspaper once for it to hold up better," Good morning," he greeted as well. Naruto quickly turned around and gave a half bow, greeting him back.
Mikoto chuckled and went to get a few bowls and spoons," No need to be so formal with us Naruto," she spoke, her voice was gentle and smooth," we're your family now, please treat us like one!" she smiled over to him before saying," And good morning, Naruto."
Naruto's shoulders seemed to have felt lighter than, a small smile and blush appearing over his features," Good morning.." he said quietly.
"Aw, isn't he just adorable, Itachi," Deidara said nudging the oldest Uchiha son next to him.
Itachi smirked and reached over to ruffle Naruto's blonde locks.
"Quite, but of course not as adorable as you.."
"Itachi sometimes your act makes me want to hurl," Deidara gagged.
"What?" Itachi eyebrows rose.
Naruto chuckled quietly as he watched the two next to him bicker before a bowl of warm soup was placed in front of him," Hear, Naruto eat up." Mikoto said to him as she stared with a smile on her face," Try it." she insisted.
Naruto nodded before taking the spoon that was already dipped into the bowl, he gave thanks for the food and took a small sip, the two next to him already forgetting about the argument and now eating as well. "Do you like it?" Mikoto asked as she stared at Naruto, who was staring down at the soup.
"It tastes great," Naruto said enthusiastically before continuing to drink the rest of it. Mikoto exhaled loudly, relieved that Sasuke was right about the miso soup thing.
"Neh, Naruto." Mikoto called out a few minutes later, placing the dirty bowls in the sink as she looked at Itachi and Deidara, pointing at the sink full of bowls while doing so. The two next to Naruto looked at each other before groaning and getting off their stools. Naruto's eyebrow rose as he looked at Mikoto," Would you like to go out with me today to the village?" she asked him, already knowing the answer.
Naruto's eyes lit up instantly when he heard her say those words,"Really?" Mikoto nodded. He smiled a toothy grin before nodding his head.
Mikoto cheered inwardly before she spun around, taking off the yellow apron and hanging it on the hanger that was drilled into one of the cabinets.
She clapped her hands together before turning around again, her knee-length dress fluttering around her. "Great! I needed a man's opinion about this." She laughed before walking out of the kitchen," Go change Naruto, we leave in ten minutes, okay?"
Naruto nodded before responding back," 'Kay!" He glanced over at the couple in front of the sink, blowing soap into each other's hair and flicking water on each other's face. Naruto laughed.
"What are you two doing?" Naruto turned around and gasped when he saw Sasuke leaning against the frame of the kitchen entrance.
Itachi and Deidara turned around soon after, mounds of soap were placed on their heads and water made some of their hairs stick to their faces.
"It's called having fun, Sasuke, try it sometimes." Deidara said plainly before scooping up a handful of soap and placed it on Itachi's head.
Itachi instantly looked down, then placed a hand at the tip of the mound on his head. He glanced at Deidara before smirking," Looks like we'll need a nice, hot, steamy, shower after this."
At the comment, both blondes gaped and blushed, Deidara glancing away with a pout on his face, Naruto glancing up at Sasuke, who quickly glanced down. Sasuke smirked, sending shivers up Naruto's spine, before he quickly walked past the raven.
Avoid..
Avoid…
Avoid…!
Sasuke watched as the blonde raced up the stairs and down the hallway.
"Is it just me, Little Brother, or is Naruto making a futile attempt at avoiding you?" Itachi smirked, which caused a vein to snap in Sasuke's head.
"Be quiet, Itachi. At least he isn't threatening to make the house explode." he glanced at Deidara who glared at him.
Itachi smirked before placing the last dish on the drying rack and wiping his hands," Try giving him some time for a while, he might need it."
Sasuke looked away before responding," Whatever." he mumbled before walking over and getting a bowl from the rack and pulled out a spoon as well.
"Hey, we just washed those!" Deidara complained.
Sasuke looked over at him, the large soup spoon mid-air holding a portion of miso soup. Sasuke stared at him, making Deidara feel uncomfortable before the youngest Uchiha, without looking away, dumped the contents in the bowl he was holding.
Deidara gaped and glared before turning away and stomping up the stairs. "I hate Uchihas!" Sasuke smirked and drank his soup quietly. Itachi glanced over at Sasuke before smirking himself and following Deidara up the stairs and to their room.
Naruto was standing in his closet, picking out whatever looked nice and comfortable to wear to the village.
The blonde bubbled with excitement, maybe if Mikoto would let him, he would get to see everyone once more. He wondered if Sasuke would mind…
Wait.
What?
Did he just think of that?
Naruto sighed and walked out, the clothes he wore right now were good enough, tight dark blue jeans and a black elbow-length shirt. The Uzumaki walked to stand in front of the mirror for the thousandth time that day. He smiled before he walked out of his room and closed the door behind him.
He descended down the stairs, staring at the opened door that was in front of him before something slammed into him. Naruto fell back onto the staircase, thanking the gods that his head didn't hit the marble steps.
"Agh sorry, Naruto!" the young blonde looked up to see Deidara looking down at him, holding a hand out to help him up.
Naruto shook his head and took the hand," It's alright, I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking." he humbly said.
Deidara smiled," What a shame, someone as innocent and cute as you," he started," is going to marry the dark prince."
"W-what?"
"Sasuke is so dense sometimes, he's like a brick wall!" Deidara laughed while Naruto just stared at him. "'Tachi and I sometimes joke about how he has no emotions at all."
"I-I see…."
Deidara nodded before looking at his clothes," Going somewhere, you're all dressed up."
"I was wearing these clothes at breakfast…" Naruto pointed out.
"Oh."
"And I'm going to the village today, with Mikoto-san.."
Deidara laughed," Well have fun with her, she gets a bit jumpy when she goes to the village, something about meeting old friends." Deidara's voice lingered off. "Oh, does Sasuke know?"
Naruto shrugged," Not sure."
"You should tell him," the older and taller blonde suggested," he might wonder where you are after a while a good wife should never make his man worry," he smirked.
Naruto's cheeks grew a light layer of red," Isn't it supposed to be the other way around..?"
"Whatever, whatever," Deidara waved it off, continuing his way up the stairs," Have fun and don't forget to tell Sasuke." he smirked.
Naruto watched as the older blonde walked up the stairs before the older figure disappeared. Naruto eye's glued away from Itachi's and Deidara's door before looking back down at the dining room and kitchen, seeing the small corner piece of Fugaku newspaper on the side as he flipped the pages. His then averted his attention at the opened doors leading to the driveway.
The Uzumaki thought intently, wondering if he should take Deidara's advice, or just leave.
Naruto then shook his head to clear his thoughts. 'Mikoto's probably waiting for me.. no time to tell Sasuke!' he was satisfied with himself as he told himself that. Naruto then sprinted down the stairway and hurried out the door, loving the light burn on his skin from the sun's rays. Naruto looked around the vast driveway decorated with pots of plants and trees on the side. The black metal gate was closed, keeping the outer wilderness from entering the territory during the night. Naruto spotted the black Ford Focus, keys in ignition, causing the engine to roar calmly. But then it struck him.
That was Sasuke's car.
The blonde stared at the car and the driver and passenger in it. Mikoto was waving at Naruto from the back seat while Sasuke just smirked at him. The blonde was infuriated, this was utterly humiliating! His face was turning red from the anger boiling inside of him. He was supposed to be avoiding the Uchiha, but now he was guessing that Sasuke knew his plan and is now going to make it impossible for him to do so! Naruto had the choice, to turn around, walk back into the house and act like a brat. Or he can suck his pride up and walk over to that damn car and forget his plan, costing him another sleepless night to think of another one!
Naruto sighed and cried on the inside before taking a step forward and walking over to the car. He could just imagine Sasuke's smug face turning even more smug! If that were even possible that is.
Naruto glared up at Sasuke, who just smirked down at him before he swung the door opened and took his seat on the passenger side of the car.
Naruto sat there, hands on his lap and eyes on the floor after snapping his seatbelt on. He heard Sasuke pulling the car out of the driveway, pushing a button on the hood of the car to open up the metal gates before they hit the dirt road of the forest.
Mikoto stared at the two in front of her, grey orbs bouncing back and forth between them as she leaned closer, her hands resting on the front seats.
She sighed before slumping back in her seat, arms and legs crossed before looking out the window to her right.
Yup, this was going to be a long drive.
Before long, Mikoto had fallen sound asleep in the back seat, leaving the two awkward young adults to discuss things.
"Why are you here?" Naruto asked abruptly, breaking the silence.
"Why not." Sasuke continued to stare ahead at the dirt road in front of them.
Naruto looked over and gave a (not-so- intimidating) glare to Sasuke, who initially smirked. "Did Mikoto tell you?"
"No."
Naruto continued to glare at Sasuke before looking back at the road. "Then how did you know we were going to the village."
"You must really be a dobe if you think you'll get away with anything," Sasuke smirked again and exited out of the forest, the large lake was now by their side, glistening in the early sunlight.
Naruto gaped, offended.
The blonde humph'd and looked out the window, he smiled when he saw the lake and the village ahead.
Out of the corner of his eye, Sasuke saw the blonde's smile, and damn he just couldn't help but smile as well.
Mikoto woke up a little after the terrain grew more steady as they hit cement ground and out of the dirt roads. She yawned quietly, covering her mouth and looked ahead of her at her son and her (almost and hopefully) son-in-law. She smiled a warm smile from her heart when she saw Sasuke smile at the blonde.
It was the first smile she saw from him in years. And she had to admit, seeing her son smile is the best.
She continued to stare at the two until they reached the village entrance, right then was when Naruto started to get a bit more anxious.
As they passed the large red and beige gates of the village, Sasuke had started to drive slower, be careful of pedestrians and livestock.
It was rare for someone to be driving a car in the village, since everywhere you needed to go in Konoha was in walking distance.
As the car was driven down the streets of the village, peopled stared at them, and them, means Naruto. As a few stares grew into more and more, cold sweat broke out on Naruto's forehead and neck. He was starting to regret his decision of going to the village today.
Probably in the past two days rumors spread like wildfire. The blonde heard whispers and gossip, he sighed and rolled the blacken windows up so they couldn't see him and sank into his seat.
Mikoto and Sasuke had notice the blonde's behavior before looking at each other. Mikoto cleared her throat and pointed down the road at a small market.
"Why don't we restock on some food, I'm starting to run out." she said before glancing a worried look at Naruto.
Sasuke's eyes averted to the small market," Hn." He continued to drive down the streets.
Everything was silent until the Uchiha stopped the car in front of the store, waiting for Mikoto and Naruto to exit.
The Uzumaki looked to see where they were, and he swore he almost fainted, it was one of his mother's friend's market, this had to be the death of him.
Naruto groaned quietly before sinking down even more into his chair. Even though the groan was quiet, Mikoto and her son heard it. They shared worried glances before Mikoto exited out of the car, walking to Sasuke's window," Naruto why don't you stay with Sasuke," Mikoto suggested. Naruto froze. "I'll come back shortly." was all she said before she walked into the store.
"Wai-!" Naruto sat up and was going to stop her, to tell her that he didn't really want to stay in the car with…. him.
But it wasn't like he wanted to be seen by anyone after he felt all those stares. But those stares were back when he emitted the abrupt mid-word call. Naruto looked around, as every eye bore into him. The cold sweat that the blonde had wiped off from before had risen back.
It was the first time in his life he didn't feel at home at home.
But he felt like an outsider for the thousandth time. It was as if no one was happy that he was back in the village. Naruto stared back at the eyes, before he shriveled away and before he or Sasuke knew it, he was curled into a ball on the passenger seat.
The Uchiha had no idea what to do in this situation, but he was an Uchiha, and he wasn't going to show his panic and his hyperventilation to anyone.
He was relieved when he heard his mother's voice as she walked out of the store.
"Sasuke! Guess what I found in there!" she said holding big, ripe, dark red tomatoes in her hands, a smile on her face as she walked over. But her smile soon faded when she saw Naruto curled up on the passenger seat. She glanced at Sasuke and then back at Naruto before sighing. She dropped the tomatoes back in the paper bag and opened the back doors, before placing the groceries in the car. She shut the door and calmly walked over to Naruto's side of the car. She slowly opened the door and now Naruto was showed out for everyone in the vicinity to see, but Naruto didn't notice anything until he felt the sun rays burn into his skin.
The blonde looked over and found Mikoto staring at him, and a third of the village. The Uzumaki's eyes widened as he scooted away from the women.
Mikoto grabbed his shoulder and leaned over to whisper something in his ear. She struggled in her grip for a while, but when she was finished with her little speech, Naruto was perfectly calm and happy again.
Sasuke stared at the two, his face void of emotions but in his mind he was curious as to what his mother had said to Naruto.
The mother was greatly proud of what she had done, on the outside she seemed to still be calm, but on the inside she was putting the word 'joyous' into shame.
"Now," she started, and smirked at Sasuke. Naruto realized that Sasuke's smirked looked a lot like Mikoto's both seemed to be intimidating and gave them more of a seductive aura. Sasuke thought the smirk was absolute hell, whenever his mother smirked like that she had something up her sleeve that he didn't like, like driving his car. "Sasuke why don't you go stroll around the village with Naruto. I'm sure he'll like to reminisce the good old days!"
Sasuke stared at her, inwardly scared," What about my car..?" he dared to ask.
"I'll use it!"
"No." he quickly refused. He was always worried when he left his car with his mother, his precious car, with her… He loved his mother, yes, but not enough to let her use his car. This is mainly because if he even let Mikoto borrow the car for just an hour, he'd be worried that she would either crash it, or turn the whole car a different color.
Mikoto excitement died down." Please, Sasuke!" she pleaded, attracting more attention, but this time Naruto didn't care." I think Naruto would enjoy taking a stroll, and I can't go with him because I have errands to run! Do this for Naruto." she had pulled the trump card. Sasuke cursed inwardly.
She had to use Naruto. She knew Sasuke's soft spot for the blonde.
He looked down at Naruto, who was staring intently at him. Sasuke's eyes twitched slightly, before he looked back at his mother, then at the steering wheel of his car, and sighed.
"Fine." Sasuke glared at the two of them," But this is the only time, got that?"
Mikoto smiled and nodded," Got it!"
Sasuke pulled his keys out of the ignition and tossed them over to Mikoto before getting out of his car. "Next time I see my car, it still better be black and not have a single scratch on it."
"Don't worry!" Mikoto smiled at him and nodded again.
Sasuke pushed the car door opened hastily and got off, walking over to Naruto's side of the car. Sasuke held a hand out of Naruto to take, the Uzumaki had only looked at it before totally ignoring it and getting out of the car himself. Sasuke himself wasn't offended by this at all, seeing as he thought Naruto had no trust in him at all. He may or may not have been wrong, but he didn't totally know that.
By the time Naruto had gotten off the car, Mikoto had already had the keys in the car ignition and was already pulling away. "Have fun, you two!" Mikoto winked at Naruto. Mikoto chuckled and continued to drive away. The two of them stood there as they watched the women drive Sasuke's precious car down the streets of the village.
Even with everyone staring at the two, Naruto felt none of the cold sweat from before, he barely even noticed them staring at all actually. He looked up at Sasuke, who it took all of his might to look away from his car down at Naruto.
"So." Naruto started, looking away.
"So." Sasuke repeated.
The blonde shot him a glance before looking away again," Have anywhere you want to go?"
Sasuke hn'd and replied," My car."
Naruto quickly looked up at Sasuke before hiding a chuckle and walking past him."For starters, why don't we go to the market place."
Sasuke raised an eyebrow," The market place?"
Naruto nodded as he continued to walk, Sasuke following right behind him."Yes the market place, they sell a lot of things there and they also have special events there as well. We should be able find something to entertain us."
Sasuke didn't think it would be that bad of an idea, the only thing he was worried about was Naruto slipping from his sight if that place was too crowded.
He was sure there wouldn't be that many people, since the village wasn't all too big in the first place.
On the way to the market place, they had taken small detours to smaller shops that sold little trinkets and other things.
Sasuke came down to Konoha many times before to attend university, but he had never taken time to actually look around. It amazed him how many different things, places, and people there were.
When they reached the market area, Sasuke was already pulling Naruto away.
He had thought wrong.
The market are had to be the most crowded area he had ever seen before! There were people, wagons, horses, livestock, stands, stalls, performance stages, and a lot of other things! Naruto was complaining and trying to persuade Sasuke to go, but Sasuke wouldn't take any of it, he had already knew why Naruto wanted to come here.
And Naruto was cursing about how Sasuke was smart enough to guess. Yes, he decided to go to the market so he could escape from Sasuke and ignore him for the rest of the day until Mikoto and the others went searching for him.
Sasuke glared at Naruto when the blonde made another move to go through the gates of the crowded area, grabbing the tan arm again.
"Naruto, no." He scolded.
The Uzumaki glared upwards at the Uchiha," Why not!?"
"It's too crowded in there."
"So?" Naruto shrugged. "I've been there a thousand times before, it's fine, you won't get run over," Naruto said," or eaten by the cows and horses," he continued," the goats and lambs won't chew on your shirts, well that's only if you let them, and no one's going to kidnap you either!" he explained," oh but that's a sore subject isn't it." he then glared.
Sasuke rolled his eyes," No. We are not going in there."
"Ugh!" Naruto let out," But Sasuke, we have no other way to get around the market, this place takes up almost the whole entire village!"
"Then we'll head back and I'll call Mother."
"Does your mother really have a phone." Naruto stared at him, arms crossed and hips cocked to the side.
"Yes, she does."
"Sasuke, please?" Naruto continued to beg," I really, really, really want to go in there!"
"Why?" the Uchiha finally asked.
"Because I liked going to the marketplace." Naruto pouted," Please, just for a while, pleaaaase?" Naruto begged, he even wrapped his arms around Sasuke's and glanced up, smiling," Please?" What Naruto was doing scared him, he didn't exactly feel comfortable pressing his body up against Sasuke's, but he didn't exactly feel uncomfortable either. And oh gosh did he like the smell of Christmas…
Sasuke glared down at Naruto, before sighing and looking away. "Fine!" he finally said," But only for an hour."
Naruto's smiled widened into a big toothy grin and his arms unraveled from the other's." Yay! Thanks, Sasuke." Naruto was already making his way towards the gates.
Sasuke sighed again and followed right behind Naruto.
Maybe Sasuke had over-exaggerated on the 'too crowded' thing, because there was enough space to walk through the place.
Naruto was going to take this slowly, he would stick next to Sasuke closely for the first twenty minutes, making sure he was always next to Sasuke.
But after many many shops later, Naruto began to slowly part from Sasuke, changing their location quicker and quicker, only giving Sasuke little time to catch up.
But before Naruto made a run for it, Sasuke had caught the Uzumaki by his shirt."Naruto!" the blonde heard Sasuke's harsh voice, and he knew Sasuke was mad now. Naruto quickly faced Sasuke again, putting a smile on his and pretending like he didn't notice anything.
"What?" Naruto asked.
"Stop going so fast, dobe." Sasuke scolded for the second time that day.
Naruto gaped and glared up at the Uchiha," Don't call me that, teme!"
"I'll stop calling you that if you stop acting like one." Sasuke bit back.
Naruto fumed and turned away from him before walking over to the next stand of small trinkets and things.
While Naruto was quickly moving from place to place, Sasuke was having a hard time keeping track of him, he was panicking when he couldn't find Naruto quick enough. But the Uchiha was now much more calm when he saw Naruto's bright blond hair next to him.
As the two continued to walk around slower, Naruto pouting and Sasuke calming himself, the was another party watching them from afar, Naruto especially.
It was Kiba and Akamaru. At first, the dog lover was surprised to see Naruto back in the village, but then he was angered to see Sasuke with him.
He had been waiting for a perfect chance to snatch Naruto away from him, he was about to make his move when Naruto had tried to separate from the Uchiha, but Sasuke was too quick for both of them.
He glared that the raven, cursing inwardly.
After stands and stalls later, Sasuke had finally stopped paying attention to Naruto and was arguing with a stall owner.
It had all started when Naruto stumbled over the subject of a new digital clock.
"Sasuke, you need a knew one of these." Naruto pointed down at a digital clock that looked exactly like the one he had at home.
Sasuke looked over to what Naruto was pointing at and then looked away,"No, I don't."
"Yes, you do."
"Why?"
"The one you have keeps on beeping when it's 'supposed' to stop automatically." Naruto pointed out.
Sasuke glared at him, making sure he defended his alarm clock," At least it still wakes me up at the right time."
"So? It's still annoying!"
"Doesn't matter if it's annoying! And I don't think I should really be hearing that from you" He bit out. Maybe he went too far, but he didn't really realize that.
Naruto gaped, offended by his words, and he looked away from the Uchiha, glaring at the person next to them, who was utterly confused at to why the blonde was glaring at him.
"Sir, if your wife says you need a new one, I suggest you get a new one!" the stall owner tried to persuade.
"I'm not his wife." Naruto quickly defended, but the two ignored him.
"I don't need a new one," Sasuke answered.
"Oh but you can always get an extra one if the one you're using now does break."
"No."
"Sir, please be reason-"
"Shut up, you bald headed old man!" Sasuke, as he lost his temper, had finally exploded. "I don't want your advertising and horribly persuading ass telling me what to do and who I should listen to."
The stall owner, then turned bright red, offended by the Uchiha's words.
Kiba smirked as he watched the Uchiha argue and defend him and his digital clock. He glanced over at Naruto who was smiling and chuckling at the scene before him. It took Kiba a while to process the sight of Naruto chuckling and laughing.
Maybe he is happy, Kiba thought but quickly shook out of his mind
Naruto couldn't have been happy, being kidnapped and stripped of his freedom. The dog lover and his dog right next to him, were ready to pounce, it didn't look like the Uchiha was going to pay attention to Naruto for a while. Kiba pulled his hoodie over his head and started to slowly walk to Naruto, hands in his pocket and Akamaru hidden from sight.
The blonde was looking at a small bracelet, entranced with the fine delicate swirls and trinkets hanging from.
Kiba had quickly wrapped his arms around the blonde's waist, then throwing him over his shoulders. In a second the bracelet dropped from Naruto's hands and his eyes widened.
Before he knew it he let out a scream as he was being taken off. Without even his own consent, he cried out for Sasuke, a hand reaching out for him.
In no time Sasuke turned around and his heart skipped a beat as he watched Naruto being carried off.
"Naruto!" Sasuke shouted off the top of his lungs and he broke into a sprint, leaving the stall owner still ranting to himself. Naruto slammed his fists onto the 'mysterious' man's back. "Let me go!" he shouted as they passed many people. But as more villagers passed by, Sasuke had begun to lag behind.
"Sasuke!" Naruto reached out for him when he had gotten in arms reach, but the Uchiha cried out in pain when he felt something bite into his leg, and he crouched down. Sasuke was now out of Naruto's sight, and Naruto's out of Sasuke's. The two passed the gates of the marketplace, and as the man took him away, he saw Sasuke gripping onto his left leg with one arm, and the other arm reaching out for Naruto.
"Fucker!" Naruto threw one of his hardests fists down at the man's back, and this time the man had cried out in pain, but they were still moving.
"Are you pissed off, Naruto?" the man asked, and the Uzumaki's eyes widened.
Naruto straightened himself up and looked backwards and saw Kiba smiling up at him."Kiba?!"
After the two had gotten far away from the marketplace, Kiba finally let Naruto down and the blonde was jumping from excitement.
"How-why-when-what?!" Naruto couldn't make up any words for how he felt right now.
Kiba smirked," Well you know, I have my ways." Naruto laughed, but then he realized something.. something big.
"Oh god…" his eyes widened.
Kiba raised an eyebrow," What?"
"When Sasuke finds me, I'm in deep trouble.."
"You mean, if he finds you." Kiba said.
Naruto rolled his eyes," Kiba I'm going to have to go back sooner or later."
Kiba stared at Naruto," Yo, what are you talking about? You don't have to go back! You can stay here, with me!" he said, but he then realize what he had just blurted out," A-and Ino! And everyone else!"
Naruto shook his head. "Kiba, I'm Uchiha property now," the way he said that also scared him… he didn't mind being called Uchiha property for some reason," Well almost Uchiha property."
"Almost?"
Naruto shrugged," I made this bet with Sasuke, things happened and here we are now."
Kiba motioned him to continue," Care to explain this bet?"
"No."
Kiba rolled his eyes. "But still, I think you should stay here, with us."
Naruto shook his head again," I can't, I wish I could, but I can't." he said in a light tone. Kiba sighed.
Akamaru soon came running up to the two of them. Naruto smiled and squatted down, hugging the dog and running his hands through the soft white fur," Hey, boy!" then he stopped, remembering Sasuke's cry of pain.." wait a minute…" Naruto quickly got up and glared at Kiba," did you tell Akamaru to bite Sasuke's leg!?"
"W-what?"
"You did didn't you!" Naruto accused, furious.
Kiba tried to make up an excuse but before he could Akamaru whined and rubbed his head against Naruto's leg.
Kiba quickly changed the subject," Akamaru thinks you should stay too…"
Naruto glared up at him, but the glare disappeared soon. They all were silent, then. After a few more moments of silence, Naruto stood up and stretched his back," Well… I guess I could use the time away from Sasuke." Naruto said slowly, Kiba's hopes rising slowly." That was my original plan in the first place…"
"Where do you have in mind?" Kiba quickly asked.
Naruto smirked," Ino's."
Kiba laughed and swung his arms around Naruto's shoulders," Let's go!"
Sasuke really was freaking out now, and that was an understatement, he was beyond panicking. Naruto was taken from him right underneath his nose and all he could do was curse himself. How could he get so caught up about an alarm clock!? And with that bald headed bitch of an old man.
Sasuke slapped himself for the thousandth time that afternoon. What was he going to do? Well heck yeah he was going to get his dobe back. But what was he going to do until then? How the hell was he going to even find the dobe.
Well that was a stupid question, he had to be in the village, the tradition only lies within Konoha and the surrounding mountains…
When he found the dobe, he was going to give a hell of a scolding, and a "told you so"
