I ended up getting a minor case of writer's block but it's okay now! c:
OH! And just to tell you all, for those of you who have read my most popular story 'Beauty I Shall Behold' which I deleted because of the horrible mistakes and fluff I added to it, I published it back up! I hope you all get the chance to read it, it still only has two chapters and I'm working on the third chapter right now. Since the only thing that is going to be the same is the plot, everything else is going to be very different, so it's going to take awhile to write again, I will apologize in advance for that!

.: Day One Part 2: Released Confessions :.
Naruto sat in-between his two closest friends at Ino's house. The three of them laughed after Kiba's not-so-funny joke, but the two blondes weren't going to insult their friend. Ino, for the millionth time wrapped her arms around Naruto in a deathgrip and hugged the other blonde passionately, wanting to feel more of this warmth she felt emit from the other. While Naruto on the other hand tried to squeeze away, the lack of air in his lungs was bothering him greatly. "Naruto you have to stay here in the village, with…" she looked away and glanced at Kiba," us!"
"See, me and Akamaru aren't the only people who think that!" Kiba agreed with Ino and nodded his head," Heck I think your parents wouldn't care either!"
"Kiba it's Akamaru and I," Ino corrected," But he does have a point, Naruto."
Naruto sighed again and shook out of Ino's death grip which did cause the other blonde to cry on the inside, but oblivious Naruto didn't notice that. Naruto slumped over and shook his head," I can't.."
Ino's eyes washed over with hurt," W-why not?" She placed her hands on Naruto's shoulders, shaking him like it was going to change his mind." You can't possibly want to stay with the Uchihas!?"
Naruto shook his head again," Ino," He clasped the hands on his shoulders with his own and looked at her, a smile on his face," I want to stay here with you, and Kiba, and everyone else," he said.
"Then why don't you!?" Ino asked not letting Naruto finish.
"But you know what, I kinda want to stay with the Uchihas." said Naruto.
Kiba then grabbed onto Naruto's shoulders as well," You're joking, right? The Uchihas!?"
"I kid you not, Kiba."
"But why?" Ino said again," Why go back and be chained down while you can stay here and be free?!"
Naruto chuckled," I'm not chained down over there, Ino." Ino shook her head, obviously not believing what her friend was telling her. "I'm actually have quite some freedom."
"But not as much as if you stay here… and go back to your old life.."
"My old life was boring anyways.." Naruto admit. "I was quite lonely actually for quite some time after Sakura had died.." those words had tore through Ino's heart and broke it into a million pieces. Kiba winced at Ino, knowing what those words had done to her. He nudged Naruto on the side, causing him to cringed," What?!"
Kiba leaned in and whispered in his ears," I don't think that was a good idea…"
"What are you talking about?" exasperated Naruto. Ino's hands slipped from Naruto's shoulder and she stood up walking over to the door.
"Ino?" Naruto called out," Where are you going?"
Ino slammed her hand onto the door handle and swung it open. The two boys jumped slightly at the loud noise she had just made before Ino turned around and glared at Naruto answering his question.
"No where, but you're going somewhere!"
"I-Ino?"
"Get out!"
Naruto stared over at Ino with wide eyes." Did I say something..?" He looked at Kiba who only face palmed.
"Dude, are you serious?"
"I was always there for you," Ino mumbled.
"What did you say?" Naruto asked.
Ino looked up, her eyes filled with anger and tears that were brimming out." I was always there for you! When you wanted advice, when you cried at the funeral, when you fell and no one else could catch you, I was always there, and you were always there for me…" Ino sobbed.
Naruto stared wide-eyed at Ino. "Ino…"
"All you cared about was Sakura… she was your dream girl, your one and only." Ino fell to the floor. Kiba could only watch the scene play on.
"You know.. I was kinda happy when she died," Naruto's eyes widened impossibly." I thought that she was now out of the way… I could finally get my chance to make you happy… to be your one and only.." she confessed and continued." But that all changed when the good for nothing fucking Uchihas showed up!"
"What does he have that I don't, Naruto!?" She sobbed more, letting all of her pent up frustration out. Ino looked up towards Naruto with her red puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks," Stay with me…"
Naruto looked deep down into those pale blue eyes, before he closed his eyes, shook his head and looked away with guilt. Kiba was shocked."Naruto!" he said quietly," What are you doing.."
"I told you guys a thousand times… I can't stay.."
Ino looked back down at her lap again, and she gripped the fabric of her pants. "Get out." she said quietly but loud enough for Naruto and Kiba to hear."Both of you…" a sob cut her off," just get out.."
"Ino-"
"I said, get out!" she roared. Kiba and Naruto looked at each other before they both stood up, and walked towards Ino. The two boys stood in front of Ino, Naruto pat her head, but his hand was slapped away almost immediately. Naruto jerked back and held onto his hand, the stinging sensation reaching up to his elbow…
"Let's just go.." Kiba said," Bye, Ino see you tomorrow.." Ino was still silent excluding her sobs… Naruto only glanced at her, and didn't bother to say goodbye before closing the door to her room.
Then, the two boys could hear her sobs even louder than before, even all the way down to the front door, Kiba glanced up at her room once more before walking out, but Naruto ignored it all…
It was silent on the walk down the village, neither of them knew where to go, but to be honest, Naruto only wanted to go back, back to his new family..
When Ino heard the door downstairs close, she quickly stood back up and walked over to her desk, her phone resting upon the wood. She quickly picked it up and continued to cry as she dialed a new number.
She let the ringing calm her as she waited for the person on the other side to pick up.
'Hello?' Ino's heart calmed when she heard someone familiar on the other side.
"Sai? It's me," Ino continued to sob quietly," What am I going to do…?"
Kiba sighed loudly," If only Akamaru didn't run back home.. at least I could've talked to someone.." He glanced at Naruto, who ignored him. "I don't think you should've said those things.. Naruto.." Kiba stated his opinion.
"It's too late now." Kiba nodded stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"Say, why don't we go to your favorite ramen place?" Kiba suggested, knowing that would bring up the blonde's spirits, but instead of the Uzumaki jumping around in joy, he shook his head depressingly, this really surprised Kiba.
"I think I'm going to go back now…" Naruto sighed.
"W-what?" Kiba voice shook.
Naruto looked up at Kiba and smiled at him," Thanks for today, Kiba." Naruto said," I really did enjoy it." Naruto continued to smile, before he turned around, his back facing Kiba.
"Naruto…" He reached out for the blonde who was already walking away. Kiba only stood there, watching the blonde past light… after light… after light before he balled his fists and broke into a sprint after the Uzumaki.
"Naruto!" Kiba shouted out. The blonde turned around and gasped when he was greeted with Kiba's clothed chest and his arms wrapping around him.
"K-Kiba?! What are you doing?!" Naruto struggled in his hold. "Let me go!"
"Naruto!" Kiba shouted his name again." Stay here…"
"Kiba I told you already," Naruto looked up at him with angry eyes," I ca-mph!?"
Naruto's eyes widened impossibly wide when Kiba's lips were planted onto his. He let it happen for a few moments, not kissing back nor jerking away. When he had reached his sense his pushed Kiba's mouth away and tried to push away the rest of him as well. "Kiba!" Naruto gasped out, placing his hand over his mouth and wiping it.
"Stay.. with me.."
"No!" Naruto flat out rejected him continuing to push him away.
Kiba forced himself upon Naruto again, a hand reaching behind the blonde's head to deepen the kiss. Naruto screeched and continued to kick, push, and punch his way out of it, shaking his head to lose Kiba's lips.
"Stay with me.." Kiba whispered to the other his lips ghosting over Naruto's. And before Kiba realized it a stinging pain erupted onto his right cheek.. Naruto had slapped him.
"I said.. No!" Naruto screamed out finally being able to push the other away."Kiba, what can I do to make you realize that I belong somewhere else now? To someone else?"
Kiba's eyes widened and then he glared at Naruto, a growl escaping his lips." You don't belong to anyone… but me."
"Wha-!?" Naruto gasped and for the second time that day he was lifted up. Before he had known it Kiba had rushed towards him and threw him over his shoulder. Naruto was shocked.
"Kiba, let go!" Naruto slammed his hands onto his 'friend's' back.
No. After today, Naruto didn't even know if Kiba was his friend anymore, or in fact anyone else's friend here in Konaha… He had trusted Kiba with everything… his secrets, his struggles, dreams…. and even equality. It pained him to see Kiba using tradition on him now.
Kiba ran over to an interval between two buildings where no light could enter and threw Naruto against the wall none too gently. And within a split second the brunette's lips were once again on Naruto's. The blonde couldn't protest at all, Kiba was so much stronger than he was he didn't have the strength to push him away. While the blonde was panicking, Kiba had successfully pried the blonde's legs opened and grinded between them. Naruto bit back a moan, not wanting to strengthen the other's pride. Rather than pleasure, Naruto felt disgusted, this disgusted him to no extent. He finally wiggled his hands from in-between Kiba and him and gripped onto the brunette's shoulders, pushing him away violently after slapping him again. The two both panted from exertion, Naruto trying to push away Kiba, and Kiba trying to keep Naruto close.
"Naruto…" Kiba cried out, his eyes producing tears," Why do you do this to me… I can make you so much more happier than that bastard can!"
"You don't know that!" Naruto screamed out, his anger finally released.
"I do know! What do you know about the Uchiha?! What does the Uchiha know about you!?" Naruto gasped at the question. "That's what I thought," Kiba looked at Naruto with his shocked expression, " you two know nothing about each other… I know everything about you… I can make you so much happier.."
"Kiba.."
"Naruto please… stay with me.. be mine.."
Naruto shook his head," Kiba you just don't you get it?"
"What don't I get Naruto!? What?" Kiba sobbed," I should be the one besides you…" they looked at each other.
"Kiba." Naruto's face was now guilt written," I… I love him.." it had come out without his permission. It wasn't true, Naruto knew that! He didn't love Sasuke.. at least.. he didn't think so..right? It was only an excuse to keep Kiba away, that's right.. just an excuse.
"You're lying.. I know you are, Naruto."
"I'm not!" he had to be lying..
"You are!" Kiba shouted out even louder.
"You don't know me.. I don't know you.. I thought I did Kiba.. But I guess we both changed." Naruto glared at him before saying the final blow," Stay away… from me." Kiba's eyes widened as Naruto turned and ran away.
"Naruto… Naruto!" Kiba, after he came to his sense then ran right after Naruto, tripping on some trash on his way. Naruto heard Kiba's voice and ran faster.
He was finally out of the alley way and looked to his left, seeing a dead end, then to his right, and he saw… Sasuke.
"Sasuke!" Naruto yelled and ran towards him.
Naruto, to Sasuke's surprise, was running towards him, and of course he would take this chance! "Naruto!" Sasuke's arms stretched outward for Naruto and in no time caught the blonde against his chest, holding him in a tight grip. "I've been looking, everywhere for you!" Sasuke pushed Naruto slightly away from him to look at his face," You worried me…" Sasuke's eyes were full of worry, and Naruto could see that… But then Sasuke stared down at Naruto's lips.. noticing how they were oddly swollen… then it hit him.." Naruto.. don't tell me." Sasuke glared at him. The blonde realized what Sasuke was looking at and quickly covered his mouth, shaking his head," It's not like that Sasuke! Kiba, he-"
"Naruto!" Naruto and Sasuke turned to see Kiba running towards the two reaching out for Naruto. Naruto quickly without thinking, hid behind Sasuke, not wanting the other to get close to him. "I said stay away from me!" Sasuke was utterly confused at this point.
"Narut-" Kiba was about to call out again but then noticed what the blonde was using to protect himself…Sasuke.. "You.." Kiba glared at him, causing Sasuke to glare back at him as well. Even though Sasuke was confused, he does not let someone else glare at him. "You took him away from everyone, from his parents, from Ino… and from me!"
Sasuke continued to glare at Kiba," What are you talking about."
"Naruto was going to be mine! I deserve to be with him!"
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, his glare dropping," Excuse me?"
"You heard me." Kiba huffed smugly," You who came out of nowhere and take Naruto away announce that you love him and marry him without breaking a sweat."
Sasuke looked at Kiba calmly while the dog lover continued to rant on." Me and Naruto just experienced Ino's break down, and it was all because of you." Kiba's glare intensified," You took Naruto away ."
Sasuke continued to stare at Kiba who increasingly shrank under the gaze over time. And after a minute or so of staring Sasuke scoffed.
Kiba glared at him again," What's so funny."
Sasuke shook his head," Nothing, oh except for the fact that you think Naruto belongs to you."
"He does."
"He certainly doesn't." Sasuke smirked and started to walk over to the dog lover slowly and calmly," Do you know why, Naruto doesn't belong to you?"
Kiba continued to glare at him but his glare was being diminished slowly as Sasuke had walked closer.
Sasuke then stood in front of Kiba and stared down at the shorter male before glaring one of his coldest glares he had ever mustered up. He reached and grabbed for the front of Kiba's shirt, lifting him a little bit higher into the air.
"Because you dumbass, he's mine," Naruto gasped and was taken aback when Sasuke said those words and the actions that followed. Sasuke quickly raised his other arm and hit Kiba square in the face.
"Sasuke!" Naruto gasped loudly quickly running over to the two.
"That was for kidnapping him today," the Uchiha said coldly before punching the brunette once more,"That was for trying to claim what's mine," Kiba groaned and cried out in pain at the second punch, a bruise was already starting to form at his right cheek. Sasuke raised his fists up once more before punching Kiba again," That's for touching him."
"Sasuke!" Naruto quickly threw his hands around Sasuke's offending arm holding it down," Sasuke, stop," the Uchiha had tried to throw another punch but he then realized his arm was held down by something. Looking down he saw the bright bundle of blond hair that always calmed him down.
Sasuke saw the blue cerulean eyes that stared up at him and he immediately forgot that he was in the middle of knocking Kiba's teeth out. He let go of Kiba's shirt, the young adult quickly falling to the ground and cringing in pain.
Naruto stared up at Sasuke observing his eyes the same way Sasuke observed his. They both stared at each other for a few moments.
Kiba who had his hand on his right cheek sat upright with his left arm supporting him and scowled at the sight he was seeing. Anger boiled deep within his chest and he quickly got up snapping the other two from their trance. Sasuke quickly glared at him, the expression was returned back from Kiba. The Uchiha got in front of Naruto who didn't hesitate to be protected by Sasuke.
"Naruto…" Kiba's eyes were filled with hurt as he watched Naruto clinging onto Sasuke's shoulders and hid away from him. "Why? Why do you do this to us? If Sakura were here she wouldn't be happy!" the brunette said depressingly.
At those words Naruto gasped and stepped back, away from Sasuke. His eyes widened and let the words process in his head.
Sakura..
The girl he had always loved and cared for, she wouldn't be happy..? Sakura always cared for Naruto the way Naruto cared for her, maybe even more with this thick headedness. Sakura was happy with whatever decision Naruto made, unless of course she was freezing cold and the blonde decided to keep his jacket on. But was Kiba saying true? It had been so long since he saw Sakura's content face when Naruto went out with guys instead of sticking with her all the time. At that moment, Naruto felt like Sakura was just a stranger to him, he should know what she would do! They've known each other since birth…
What would Sakura think about this.
'Whatever decision you make for yourself, I'll totally back you up, Naruto!" He could only remember her words.. but not her voice. He could only remember her eyes, but not the color. Her eyes gleamed with maturity and happiness. But he couldn't remember which shade of green they were, after all those years of looking into them.
Sasuke turned around and stared at Naruto, concern on his face started to show," Naruto, are you okay?" Naruto didn't reply, instead he covered his face with both of his hands and fell to his knees. Oh god. What would Sakura think?
He wouldn't know, she was dead, gone, and was never Naruto's…
Tears of frustration and guilt started to develop at the corner of those cerulean eyes as he heard Sasuke go over to him.
"Naruto?" Sasuke said his name again in a calming voice, but there was a trace of worry in his voice.
"What would Sakura think, huh, Naruto?" Kiba asked again as he walked closer to the two. Sasuke glared at him and got in front of Naruto, wrapping his arms around the petite boy.
Naruto didn't realise what was going on around him, all that processed in his head was Sakura's decisions, the way she thought, the years they had spent together and Naruto couldn't remember a single damn thing.
"Naruto get up." Sasuke said into his ears, but the blonde stayed put to the ground. He turned around and saw that Kiba had gotten closer than before, and he was in arms reach. Sasuke's grip on Naruto tightened and he made a move to get up and carry Naruto away, but before he could a shock of pain erupted from his back, and the Uchiha cried out. Before he could process what was going on, another jolt of pain came again, and another, and another. And then he realized Kiba was kicking him, hard.
"You stupid piece of shit, if you never got in the way Naruto would've been mine!" Kiba yelled at him. Sasuke tried to get up and escape those kicks, but it was useless, he was too weak to take both him and Naruto away, and he would rather die than leave Naruto with this bastard. Each kick hurt more than the other, and Sasuke's grip on Naruto began to loosen slowly. Naruto had still not processed what was going on, but signals of the surrounding had finally gotten to his mind.
Thoughts of Sakura had started to fade, and Sasuke's cries of pain filled his hearing and a few moments later, Naruto's eyes widened again and he removed his hands from his face.
Naruto looked and his eyes widened when he saw Kiba kicking Sasuke's back with undeniably strong force.
"Sasuke!" Naruto said his name, and the Uchiha turned his head to look at him, his grip on the blonde was weak, and Naruto knew he was getting weaker. Naruto looked up and quickly glared at Kiba. Kiba, however, didn't notice that Naruto had stood up, he continued to kick the Uchiha's back until he fell to the floor.
Naruto's glared intensified as he went over to the brunette, and before the dog lover could figure it all out, he was hit square in the face with much more force than the Uchiha had hit him with moments ago.
"Stop it!" Naruto yelled from the top of his lungs, and Kiba thought he would go deaf. When he looked up at Naruto, pain struck him in both his face and his chest. Naruto looked much more mad than Kiba had ever seen him before.
"Naruto.." in disbelief Kiba continued to stare up at him, Sasuke lying in the floor and could barely see what was going on. Kiba's arm raised and he reached out for Naruto, but the blonde quickly smacked it away. "Don't touch me ever again. Don't talk to me. From today on I don't know of a person named Inuzuka Kiba." Kiba's eyes widened at his words.
"Narut-"
"I don't know who Yamanaka Ino is, or any of my friends who I saw only three days ago." Naruto spat out and glared at Kiba once more before turning around and go to Sasuke's side.
"Sasuke..?" Naruto reached out and placed a hand on the Uchiha's shoulders. "Are you alright?"
Sasuke opened his eyes and saw the Uzumaki hovering over him, his eyes were glossed in stale tears and concern.
Sasuke could only smirk before slowly sitting up. He winced and let out a groan of pain before he could finally sit upright. Naruto let out a sigh of relief when he saw Sasuke's smirk," Something like that can't put me down for too long."
Naruto gave a small smile before speaking again," Can you stand and walk?"
"Hn. Should be able to." Naruto grabbed Sasuke's arm and placed it on his shoulders, giving support to the Uchiha. Sasuke gratefully accepted his help and stood up slowly before taking a few steps away, but before the two could walk far enough, Naruto stopped. Sasuke raised an eyebrow before looking the blonde's way and saw that Naruto was looking back, a glare on his face," And by the way, Kiba." Naruto shouted so the brunette could hear.
Kiba quickly looked away from the ground and at Naruto, the hope that was slowly appearing quickly disappeared when he saw the glare on Naruto's face. "Sakura, would be happy with whatever decision I made, don't go thinking you know her like I do." Naruto said angrily before helping Sasuke again.
Kiba stared in disbelief as he watched the two walk away.
"Naruto…." Kiba called out quietly again," Why..?" And no one noticed the single tear that slid down a red tattoo.
The doorbell rang at nine at night, and Kushina looked away from the book in her hands as she glanced at her husband."Who could it be at this late of an hour?" Kushina stood up after bookmarking her page and closing the book. She took one more sip of tea before heading to the door.
"Wait, Kushina, I'll go with you." Minato calmly got up and followed his wife to the door. The couple stood in front of the door before Minato hesitantly opened it up. The husband and wife were shocked when they saw their only son standing at their door, with the Uchiha's youngest son leaning against him.
"Naruto?"
Naruto smiled wearily," Hi, Mom, Dad," he laughed awkwardly. The couple looked up at the twenty-one year old Uchiha and noticed that he wasn't in the best of conditions.
Naruto could see the curiosity on his parents' faces," Long story short, found out who Kiba and Ino likes!"
His parents were once again shocked. "But we really need to stay here for tonight, is that alright?"
Kushina and Minato looked at each other, before looking at Naruto, each other, and then at Sasuke. Naruto raised an eyebrow, wondering if his parents had a problem.
"We can always drive back if we're bothering you tw-"
"No!" Minato and Kushina exclaimed, cutting their son off," We were just shocked, that's all." Minato nodded in agreement to his wife's explanation.
"Unfortunately we don't have an extra room, for…. Sasuke. So will sleeping on the couch d-?"
"Oh it's alright, Dad." Naruto quickly cut Minato off," I have a futon in my room, he can sleep on my bed while I'll sleep on the floor, his back is pretty messed up right now."
The married couple's jaws dropped slightly and their eyes widened, but before Naruto could notice anything they just chuckled awkwardly," Oh… okay, that's alright.. son." Minato nodded.
Naruto smiled at his parents," Thanks, Mom, Dad." Naruto said before helping Sasuke walk again.
Sasuke looked up at Naruto's parents before smiling and thanking them silently. Minato and Kushina watched as Naruto and Sasuke walked up the wooden stairs and down the hallway, disappearing in Naruto's room.
"What just happened?" Kushina asked her husband.
"I don't know, but let's just let them be." Kushina nodded in agreement.
These past three days, Minato had tried his very best to ease Kushina in any possible way, sure losing his son to another man was hard, it was like losing a daughter to another family. He was scared for his son, he was worried like any parent would be. After his efforts, Kushina was persuaded that the Uchiha family would take care of her son, maybe better than what they could provide for Naruto.
"You're right, let's leave them be." Kushina and Minato closed and locked the door before walking back to the dinner table.
In Naruto's room, he had seated Sasuke on the edge of his bed and left his side to go search in his closet for a towel. After he pulled a random unused white towel out from his closet, he then started his way out of his room," I'll be right back." Naruto said quickly before running down the steps and into the kitchen. Minato and Kushina both jolted up when their son slid the kitchen door opened quickly and ran to the cabinet, taking three zip lock bags out and running over to the fridge, filling them up with cubed ice. They then watched as Naruto had taken a big rubber-band laying on the counter and wrapped them all up before folding the towel over the ice. He grabbed a glass cup from the pantry and filled it up with drinking water. They then watched as Naruto exited the kitchen, not even bothering to slide close the wooden and paper door.
"What is he up to?" Kushina asked.
"Trying to be a good wife, I suppose," Minato lightly smirked.
Naruto sprinted up the stairs again and into the bathroom. Sasuke jerked in surprise when he saw Naruto zip past the room.
In the bathroom, Naruto opened the medicine cabinet and took out a bottle of pain relievers, checking the expiration date before running back outside and into his room.
"Back!" Naruto panted and closed the door.
"I can see that, dobe." Sasuke smirked through his pain. Naruto glared at the Uchiha on his bed before looking away and walking over to him.
"Here." Naruto handed him the medication and the cup of water.
"What's this."
"They're painkillers for your back, you teme." Sasuke rolled his eyes before accepting the medicine." And here as well," Naruto then handed him the towel which held ice inside," for your back as well, lay down and let it chill your bruised areas."
After that Naruto went to his second closet and revealed a neatly folded futon. Sasuke watched Naruto take out and unfold the padded bedding after taking the painkillers and finishing his glass of water. The blonde calmly laid out the futon on the floor next to the base of the bed and grabbed an extra blanket and pillow from the closet.
Naruto got up and let out a breath before straightening his clothes out. He then looked over at Sasuke who stared at him, who didn't have the wrapped ice pressed against his back.
"Ah, you need to put the ice against your back!" Naruto scolded Sasuke lightly, who continued to stare at him. Naruto walked over the futon and to the bed, stepping over and sitting down, facing Sasuke's back. Naruto reached over and grabbed the chill towel and pressed it against the Uchiha's back.
Sasuke jerked a few times, wincing at the small jolts of pain. Naruto winced as well when he saw Sasuke's expression," Stupid Kiba." the blonde muttered under his breath." Does it hurt badly?"
Sasuke, still having his pride intact, shook his head," No."
"Oh." Naruto replied back quickly and continued to press the ice against the other's back. A layer of silence covered both of them as Sasuke sat there, staring at the wall, and Naruto stared at the other's broad back. "Sorry, Sasuke.."
Sasuke quickly raised an eyebrow and turned his head to look behind at Naruto's guilt stricken face. "Why are you apologizing?"
Naruto was silent for a few moments before saying something," Because, if I weren't dazed by Kiba's words, you wouldn't have had to take the blows."
"Hn." was Sasuke's only reply. Another layer of silence…
"I know I didn't have to stay there." Naruto perked his head up and looked at the back of Sasuke's head.
"What?"
Sasuke stayed silent before answering," I know that I didn't have to take the fucker's blows, but I did."
Naruto was confused," What are you saying?"
"You really are a dobe, aren't you?" Sasuke smirked and rolled his eyes.
Naruto, offended, gaped," Don't call me that, teme!"
"For all I cared, I could've just took off and let that bastard take you," the words stung, and Naruto didn't know why they hurt, why his heart ached when Sasuke said it. "But." Naruto continued to listen," I did care, and I would have rathered died than let him take you." The blonde's eyes widened as the ache in his heart disappeared and was replaced with loud thumps. A blush contoured the blonde's face as he looked down at his lap.
"Take the bed," Sasuke then said after a few moments.
"Huh?"
"I said, take the bed," Sasuke repeated.
Naruto stared at the Uchiha," No way! You take the bed, you're back is still bruised. I can sleep on the futon."
"Dobe, I'm not a piece of glass." Sasuke rolled his eyes.
"Neither am I!" Naruto snapped back stubbornly. Sasuke chuckled quietly and moved away from the chilled towel.
"I'm taking the futon," Sasuke said once more before going down to his knees and under the covers as he laid on his side, his head resting on the pillow.
"Sasuke!" Naruto quickly got down and shook the Uchiha," Sasuke you need to take the bed," Naruto whined loudly.
"Hn. Dobe you're being too loud." Sasuke scolded, his eyes closed. Naruto blushed and whined hopelessly again.
"Fine! But don't blame me if your back hurts even more!" Naruto yelled at him before getting up and going over to his closet again, taking out a washed towel and something comfortable to sleep in before heading over to the door.
"I'm going to take a shower." Naruto informed Sasuke, who still had his eyes closed.
"Hn."
Naruto rolled his eyes and walked out the door and over to the bathroom, switching the light on and locking the door before undressing and entering the bath.
Naruto let the water run as he looked at himself in the mirror, his lips were lightly bruised and his face was faintly blushed. "What's going on with me.." Naruto sighed and walked back over to the bathtub, turning the water off and stepping inside the warm water.
'It's cold tonight.' Naruto thought to himself 'Much too cold for a summer night' Naruto jerked violently when he heard something that he feared since childhood.
Thunder.
It was raining outside, another case of summer rain, but this time it was a summer storm. It made Naruto wonder for a few moments, when he and Sasuke were walking to the Uzumaki household, the skies were clear and everything seemed normal. But now was a summer storm, and Naruto hugged his knees against his chest and buried his face.
Another strike of thunder. Before another strike could take place, Naruto quickly unplugged the clog, letting the water drain as he stepped out and quickly wrapped a towel around his waist, exiting the bath area and into the bathroom.
Another strike of thunder, and Naruto covered his ears quickly.
'It had to be thunder.' Naruto cursed and quickly dried himself and got dressed. He let the wet towel drop to the floor and sprinted out the bathroom door. He noticed that the lights downstairs were off, and that the hallways were dimmed.
Minato and Kushina had fallen asleep while Naruto took his bath. Naruto calmed himself and quietly walked back to his room, where the lights were still on and Sasuke slept silently on the floor. The whole household was asleep, and Naruto thanked the gods for that.
The boom of thunder filled Naruto's hearing again as the blonde gasped loudly and turned off the lights on instincts quickly running over to the bed and huddling under the covers.
The gasp that Naruto let out was loud, loud enough for Kushina and Minato to hear, and loud enough to wake the sleeping Uchiha awake.
Sasuke's eyes opened when he heard the thunder and Naruto turning off the lights, running towards the bed. He heard the Uzumaki shuffle in his bed hastily. He listened closely for a long while, and noticed that when every boom of thunder was loud enough for them to hear, Naruto let out a shaky breath. It quickly hit Sasuke why Naruto was shaken up.
So he was scared of thunder, eh? Sasuke sat up and looked over at Naruto, who had his back facing him, his head under the pillow and his body curled up. With the curtains opened, he could see Naruto faintly from the light outside shivering slightly as another bang of thunder erupted again. Sasuke, slowly and quietly, got up, wincing slightly when pain came from his back again. He shuffled over to the bed, the rain from outside hid the sound of his footsteps. Naruto was so shaken up, he didn't notice the sudden movement from the other side of his bed. Sasuke had gotten right next to Naruto and under the covers with him. The Uchiha scooted closer to the blonde and wrapped his arms around Naruto's petite waist. Naruto jerked violently when he felt cold fingers at his exposed waist, his shirt messily slid up. The Uzumaki turned his body around and his eyes widened when he saw Sasuke's calm face.
"Sasuke?!" Naruto yelled softly," what are you doing?"
Naruto's eyes widened when the Uchiha's face slowly drew closer to his. Sasuke came in slowly on purpose, wanting Naruto to know that if he didn't want it to happen, he would have the chance to stop him. But Naruto didn't move away. Instead, he let the Uchiha's soft lips plant onto his as his eyelids fell. Naruto felt warm in the Uchiha's arms, it was extremely different from when Kiba had forced himself on Naruto. Sasuke was gentle and considerate, and that made Naruto's heart beat faster by the second. Thunder hit again and Naruto jerked violently away from Sasuke's lips. Without realizing it Naruto scooted closer to the Uchiha and buried face in his chest.
He heard the soft thumping of Sasuke's heart and he calmed down.
Sasuke was so kind sometimes.. Naruto had to admit that. The smell of christmas hit Naruto's nose again and the blonde couldn't help but wrap his arms around Sasuke's back and scoot closer to him when thunder was heard again.
"Go to sleep, Naruto." Sasuke said in a hushed voice and Naruto's eyelids grew heavy. Soon, the sound of thunder and lightning striking only mixed in with the hissing of the rain and his conscious slipped. Sasuke was still awake as he watched Naruto slowly doze off and finally fall asleep after fifteen minutes. Without him realising it, Sasuke bent his head down and placed a soft kiss on the blonde's forehead.
"Goodnight, Naruto."
Before Naruto fell asleep, he admitted something to himself.
It wasn't an excuse, he really did love Sasuke…
So like, I finally finished this chapter, it was pretty long I have to admit, but I do wish I could make it longer.
And yay! Naruto admitted his feelings to himself, I wonder how long it'll take him to tell Sasuke that. *smirk*
