Chapter 20: Prank Night Turns Bad
For the past few days I had been keeping an eye out for my sweet doppelganger who happened to be a backstabber to her own sister, but there were no signs of her. I had told Katherine, and whether she wanted to believe it or not, it was up to her. Life without dramas was impossible, but we had a quiet day for a while. The necklace that Stefan gave to Elena had burned her, and Bonnie had taken it to examine the magic in the necklace. Katherine seemed to have her own plan as she had snatched the necklace away.
And after everything that happened, Caroline had dragged us to the senior prank night. I had happily obliged although Elena needed more persuasion.
We heard footsteps coming close to the room we were in so we quickly went into hiding, afraid of getting caught. Someone entered and set off the mouse traps that we had set up in the classroom. And it turned out to be our human friend, Matt.
"Oh come on!" I groaned, annoyed that our effort was wasted.
"Seriously? Do you know long it took for us to set all this up?" Caroline groaned as well.
"Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" Tyler asked.
"Clearly," Matt replied dryly.
"How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since like freshman year," Caroline babbled and I smiled slightly at her enthusiasm.
"Yeah, Matt. If I'm doing this, you're doing this," Elena said.
"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this," he said.
"Caroline's making us," Bonnie interjected and I laughed.
"Come on guys, we're about to be seniors!" I said.
"And these are the memories that will stay with us forever, and if we don't-"
"And if we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?" Elena cut Caroline off and the blonde glared at my sister.
"Go ahead and make fun, I don't care," Caroline pouted.
"You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank," Tyler said, leaving. Elena followed his trail and I raised an eyebrow.
"Where do you think you're going?" I asked.
"To superglue Alaric's desk shut. I'm making memories," she said with a smile and I grinned.
"I love you!" Caroline shouted and I smirked.
"Alright, what else are we waiting for?" I asked and walked outside, dragging Matt with me. I gotta say, vampire strength did give me the upper hand here.
"V, Dana needs more bodies in the gym!" Tyler shouted at me.
"Okay!" I yelled out back and made sure Matt went with Bonnie. I retrieved the bodies from a room and carried them back to the gym. "Huh, it's been a while since I fed," I muttered to myself as I carried the fake body. And by fed I meant from the vein not some blood bag. Most of the residents here had been drinking vervain, whether they realized it or not. The council had asked Matt and a few others to slip them in the drink. I sighed and pushed the door opened with my back when I heard Elena's panic voice.
"Vanessa!" she shouted. I turned around and saw a blur figure flashed in front of me. I took a step back when I realized it was Klaus.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. I was surprised at how natural my voice sounded, as if I was talking to Tyler who was not at where he was supposed to be. Then I remembered Elena. "Oh shit," I muttered and Klaus gave me a chilling smile.
"It's nice to see you again, sweetheart. You failed to mention that your dear sister is still alive and breathing the last time we met," he said dangerously and I looked at him in the eye, unfazed with his subtle threat.
"Well, you didn't ask," I said and smiled mockingly. He narrowed his eyes in annoyance and I flashed to Elena's side making her jumped. "Did he hurt you?" I asked and she shook her head. Then I realized something.
"Wait," I said, turning around and watched as Klaus walked toward us. "If you're here, where's Stefan?" I asked and my eyes widened in realization. Shit.
"No," Elena gasped as she realized it too. "What did you do to him?!"
"Stefan's on a time out," Klaus told. The door opened and Bonnie came in with Matt.
"Bonnie, get out of here!"
"Matt, run!"
I felt a little bad for not thinking about Bonnie but hey, she's a witch. Matt on the other hand, is a human and pretty easy to kill.
"Ah, I was wondering when you'd show up. Now we can get started," Klaus said. He looked at Dana and said, "Ah, Dana, why don't you relax? You and Chad sit tight."
"I assume you're the reason Elena's still walking around alive?" he asked Bonnie.
"That's right. If you want to blame someone, blame me," Bonnie said bravely and I bit my lower lip. You don't go around challenging Klaus like that, Bon.
"Oh, there's no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. And since you caused the problem, I'm going to have you find the fix," he said. The door opened and a pretty blonde walked in, holding Tyler who struggled but to no avail.
"Get off of me!" Tyler shouted.
"Hush now," she said nonchalantly.
"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah. Word of warning...She can be quite mean," Klaus said and I rolled my eyes at his words. I however, looked at the Original sister with interest. She flashed us a wicked smile as Klaus introduced her. So this was Klaus's sister? She must have gone through hell for the past thousand years.
"Don't be an arse," she snapped and I smirked.
"I like her," I said to Klaus and he shot me a glare. Rebekah threw Tyler at Klaus and I caught on of what he was about to do. "Oh no!"
"Leave him alone!" Elena said.
"I'm going to make this very simple. Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually," he said and bit his wrist before shoving it to Tyler's mouth. "I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake, you better hurry."
Then he snapped Tyler's neck, before giving us all a charming smile.
"He killed him," Matt said.
"He's not dead. Klaus's blood will turn him into a hybrid," I said, pitying Matt for seeing such horror.
"Only if Bonnie is successful then he'll live through his transition," Klaus said. "Go on, then. Go and fetch your grimoires and enchantments and whatnot. I'll hold on to Elena for safekeeping," Klaus said. Bonnie gave an unsure look before leaving the gym with Matt.
I noticed Rebekah gave Elena a look over and raised an eyebrow. "So this is the latest doppelganger. The Original one was much prettier," she sneered and Elena looked at her incredulously. I snorted which made Elena turned to me.
Rebekah turned to me and I raised an eyebrow at her challengingly and she seemed to be taken aback. "Got any comments, sweetheart?" I asked and she pursed her lips.
"Love your hair," she said haughtily and I held back my laughter. I met Elena's brown eyes which were looking at me in disbelief and I chose to ignore it. Sorry sister, for not taking your side but it was pretty funny. No one ever said someone was prettier than Elena. She was always the perfect girl. Since we were babies until now. She was always the prettiest.
"Take the wolf boy elsewhere, would you?" Klaus said and Rebekah made a face at him although she obeyed. She grabbed Tyler by his collar and dragged him away effortlessly.
"Gentleman much?" I asked Klaus and he ignored me. Klaus turned to Elena who was comforting Dana. His lips twitched into a smile as he watched her. Something was up.
"So Vanessa," Klaus said and I looked at him, trying to remain calm. What else did he want from me? "Did Katerina find peace now that she knows her dear sister betrayed her?"
"You were lying, weren't you? You were just trying to crush Katherine," I said, crossing my arms and he chuckled.
"I have no idea. I'd heard rumors that she was here," he said and I straightened up, looking at him seriously. How the hell did he know about Cassidy in Mystic Falls?
"Cassidy was here?" Elena asked in shock.
"Jeremy kinda…invited her in," I told my sister and she gasped.
"And you didn't tell me this why?" Elena asked accusingly and I shut my eyes in annoyance, turning away from Klaus to look at her. I really hated it when she did this like I had to tell every single thing to her because she was simply the most important person in this world.
"You were too busy mourning because of Stefan. And not to mention you were spending your time with Damon too! Who am I to burden you with my problems, right?" I asked, my tone was rising and she gaped at me. Klaus let out a laugh and I scowled at him.
"Do you mind?" I hissed and he gave me a smile that showed his dimples.
"Why don't you loosen up a little, sweetheart?" he asked.
"I'm not your sweetheart!" I snapped and he ignored me.
"Have a drink," he said and my face fell. "Oh come on now! Don't tell me, you're hiding your true nature as well?" he asked teasingly and I felt Elena's eyes hard on me.
"I'm not going to kill one of my friends, Klaus. Thanks," I said dryly and he just chuckled. This was just him, trying to get under my skin. And in the process, straining my relationship with Elena.
"You misunderstood me, love. That wasn't a suggestion," he said and I just turned my back on him, defying him.
"Why don't you just compel me then?" I called out sarcastically before swallowing my fear. Please don't take it literally, I thought to myself.
"I wonder what your sister really thinks of you," he said with a fake sad voice and I ignored him. I was saved as the door opened and Stefan entered the gym with a determined face.
"Stefan…" Elena muttered and I could hear the hope in her voice.
"Klaus," Stefan said. He didn't even spare my sister a glance as he walked over to the hybrid.
"Come to save your damsel, mate?" Klaus asked sarcastically.
"I came to ask for your forgiveness. And pledge my loyalty," he said determinedly. I would say he was bluffing but who knows, right?
"Well, you broke that pledge once already," Klaus said, still testing him.
"Elena means nothing to me anymore. And whatever you ask of me...I will do," he said and I had to say, I was convinced. Elena seemed hurt by his words, which meant he was doing a really good job. I hoped it was just an act.
"Fair enough. Let's drink on it! Kill them. What are you waiting for? Kill them."
"No! Stefan, don't. He's not going to hurt me. He already said-" Elena however, couldn't finish her words as Klaus slapped her so hard that she spun and fell to her knees.
"Hey!" I said before I could stop myself. Hitting a woman was so not cool.
Stefan flashed over to Klaus, vamped out and blowing his cover as well. Klaus held him by his throat, seething.
"She means nothing to you? Your lies just keep piling up," he said in anger.
"Let her go! I'll do whatever you want, you have my word!" Stefan promised desperately.
"Your word doesn't mean much. I lived by your word all summer, during which time I never had to resort to this..." he trailed off and I took a sharp breath when I noticed what he was doing. "Stop fighting."
"Don't do this, don't do this," Stefan pleaded as Klaus compelled him.
"I didn't want to. All I wanted was your allegiance. Now I'm going to have to take it," Klaus said and I gasped.
"Klaus, stop!" I said but it was no use.
"Don't, don't…" Stefan muttered.
"You will do exactly as I say when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey," Klaus compelled and I gasped.
"No, Stefan," Elena gasped, looking at the love of her life, wide eyed.
"Now kill them, rippah," Klaus said. I had seen Stefan's dead victims. It wasn't pretty. But I was more mortified as I saw he killed.
"It's always nice to see a vampire in his true element," Klaus commented as Stefan drank from Chad. Dana, the girl that had been my friend since I was kindergarten, was lying on the floor, dead. "The species has become such a broody lot."
"Not all of us are psychotic killer, love," I told him dryly and he smirked at me.
"No. You did this to him," Elena said accusingly.
"I invited him to the party, love. He's the one dancing on the table," Klaus countered smartly. As much as I'd like to argue, he was right. Although not entirely. He did compel Stefan to dance though. The door pushed opened loudly and we all turned around at the intruder.
"Where is it?!" Rebekah asked as she strode angrily towards us. "Where's my necklace?"
"What are you talking about?" Klaus asked her.
"She has my necklace. Look," Rebekah said, giving Klaus Caroline's phone. She kinda reminded me of myself when I was a child, ratting Elena out to dad whenever she did something worth scolding.
"Well, well, more lies," Klaus said, looking up at Stefan.
"Where…is it?" Rebekah asked, and I could see her voice screaming danger.
"I don't have it anymore," Elena said.
"You're lying!" Rebekah screamed and attacked Elena in the neck. I was so not expecting that. I guess the Originals were really impulsive. No, they were not. But they were very, very hot tempered. Except for the one in suit, I thought before clearing my head.
"Knock it off!" Klaus scolded her, pushing her away from Elena.
"Make her tell me where it is, Nik!" she demanded.
"Where's the necklace, sweetheart? Be honest," Klaus said.
"Katherine stole it," I said, checking on Elena's wound. "Leverage," I said, looking over at Klaus with a small smirk.
"Katerina. Of course," Klaus said and smiled what appeared to be a grim smile. "Well, that's unfortunate. If we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch, but since we're doing this the hard way, let's put a clock on it, shall we?" he asked and went over to the timer. The buzzer rang out and 20:00 appeared on the board.
"Twenty minutes!" Klaus shouted. "If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed again. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to," Klaus said to Stefan with a smirk.
"No, Klaus! Don't do this to him!" Elena pleaded.
"No one leaves. If she tries to run, fracture her spine!" Klaus said and grabbed me by my arm.
"No, let me go!" I protested. I couldn't leave Stefan with Elena. Apparently, Klaus had thought of that too. "Let go!" I grunted, trying desperately to hold on my ground. Figuratively speaking and quite literally too.
"Sorry sweetheart, you're coming with me," Klaus said and pulled me towards him harshly. He dragged me out of the gym, with Rebekah trailing behind us. Klaus ordered Rebekah to watch over Tyler and continued to drag me.
"Do you even know where you're going?" I asked him and he rolled his eyes at me. "Wait, wait, my phone's ringing," I said as I felt the buzz from my back pocket and he skidded into a stop. I quickly answered the call, with Klaus watching and listening.
"Bonnie, tell me some good news," I said hastily.
"Go to the pool now!" she shouted, her breathing was heavy and I could hear her footsteps echoing. I looked at Klaus, as if asking for his permission. He nodded and I ran as fast as I could, with the help of my vampire speed and reached the swimming pool.
"Matt!" I screamed in panic as I saw him being tied down by a weight. I dropped my phone onto the floor and kicked off my boots. Without a second thought, I jumped into the pool. I didn't expect what I was going to see.
"Help!" I screamed, but no voice was heard. Only bubbles came out from my mouth. Then there was Stefan, swimming towards us. He pulled Elena and I out…before he let me go. I was floating…then I saw my parents. "No, no, no!" I screamed, hitting on the window. "MUM!" I yelled, and water entered my lungs. "WAKE UP!" I pounded on the window countless of times, trying to wake her up. But she was dead.
She looked so peaceful though. But she was dead. "No! You have to wake up!" I hit the window again. Why was I so weak? Where was my vampire strength? Why was I struggling to breathe? Was I human again?
"Dad! Dad!" I yelled out for him and he just gave me a sad smile. "No, no, no!" I panicked and then he closed his eyes. No! Not my dad! Not him. No.
They were dead. My parents were dead.
I let out a choked sob and swallowed the water that pushed into my mouth and filled my lungs. I needed air. Why did I need to breathe? I was dying. I thought I was a vampire…
Elena swam towards me and it took me a second to realize that it wasn't Elena. It was Katherine. She grabbed my arm and I pulled away. I wanted to die. I wanted to be with my parents!
She pulled me with ease, and to the surface. As if I was being pulled to the surface,
I woke up.
Matt was tied down by the weight, and I quickly swam towards him. I removed the chains from his waist and quickly grab him and swam to the surface.
"Matt, wake up!" I said, almost in hysteric. "What do I do? What do I do?" I asked aloud, and remembered the last summer I had before I died. "Why is your heart not beating?" I asked and slapped his face softly but repeatedly. What was the first step of CPR again? I however didn't realize what I was doing. I was relying on my instinct.
I let my bleeding wrist hovered over Matt's mouth, but he wasn't taking my blood. He couldn't. His heart had already stopped. I then placed my hand in the middle of his chest and pressed it down. Not too hard, now that I'm a vampire, I reminded myself. I counted to 30, and breathed into Matt's mouth. And repeated it again and again.
"No," I heard Bonnie gasped as she ran towards us.
"Come on, damn it!" I said in frustration and breathed into his mouth again. "Wake up so I can kill you myself!" I growled, and pressed on his chest again until he choked up on the water.
"Thank god," Bonnie said in relief and hugged me. I then hit Matt across the face before letting myself relaxed. "You deserved that," Bonnie told him, her eyes were watery.
"This was a really nice shirt, you know?" I asked Matt and he just smiled weakly at me. I shook my head at him and sighed in relief.
"As soon as you're feeling better, I'm going to kill you," Bonnie told Matt who was shivering.
"Not if I kill him first," I told her and Matt looked at me, trying to see if I was being serious.
"But it worked!" he said suddenly, and we stopped. "I saw her, I saw Vicki."
"You did?" Bonnie and I chorused.
"She said she had a message for you," he said.
"For me?" Bonnie asked.
"From the witch that put the hybrid curse on Klaus. She said that Elena shouldn't have survived Klaus' ritual. The hybrids can't transition because Elena's still alive," Matt told.
"Tyler…" Bonnie said and I shook my head.
"He's going to die, isn't he?" Matt asked sadly, thinking of the fate of his best friend since childhood.
"I wouldn't be too sure about that," Klaus interrupted, leaning against the door. I turned to him and raised an eyebrow.
"Finally found your way?" I asked him and he looked at me in the eye seriously, dismissing the joke. His blue eyes seemed to be sparkling and I knew he had something planned.
"Given the choice doppelganger or hybrid, I go hybrid every time," he told me and my eyes widened.
"No…" I said and Klaus gave me a smirk before turning around and walking away, no doubt to look for Elena.
"Wait! Klaus!" I ran, trying to catch up on him. For some reasons he wasn't using his vampire speed, as if he wanted me to come with him. As if he would like to see me stop him. "You can't kill my sister again," I said, grabbing his hand and pulled him into a stop. "Please," I begged when he finally looked at me.
"I'm sorry, love. I don't really have a choice," he said and I flashed in front of him, forcing him to stop.
"Don't make me kill you," he said and I gulped, knowing it wasn't only a threat, it was also a promise that he will not hesitate to carry out.
"Please," I said and he held my gaze. A moment passed before he pushed past me and continued to walk. "You don't even know where you're going!" I called out to him before running after him again.
"Vanessa!"
The lights flickered as I ran under them and I narrowed my eyes when the door was suddenly slammed shut in front of Klaus's face.
"It's not funny, witch," he spat and then turned to me. The light continued to flicker in a very supernatural way and I looked at him, trying to hide my fear.
"Vanessa, listen to me!"
"Flickering lights mean ghost is here," I told him and he looked at me incredulously. "Can you feel that?" I asked, hugging myself to warm myself up. A chill ran down my spine and it wasn't because I was cold from saving Matt earlier.
"Stop whatever this is!" Klaus said and pressed me up against the wall.
"I'm not even doing anything!" I hissed and tried to push him off of me. "Ouch!" I hissed in pain, and brought my hand to my chest. He gave me a confused look and loosened his grip on my arm. I looked up at my hand to see my palm was bleeding, as if someone cut it deeply before it finally healed. I looked up at Klaus who was looking at the board behind me and I turned around.
Her blood is the key
"Elena's blood…Tyler has to drink from Elena," I said in realization and looked up at Klaus. The flickering lights stopped immediately, showing the sign that I was right. He paused for a moment before an angry look flashed across his face.
"Bloody witch," he growled under his breath and turned around and opened the door. I continued to run after him until we bumped into Elena.
"We've got to stop meeting like this," he told Elena.
"Now this is fascinating. I've never seen this before," Klaus said as we entered the room, seeing Stefan with a stake deep in his torso. "The only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl. Why don't you turn it off?" he asked with a grin.
"No!" Stefan grunted, sweating in pain.
"Come on, your humanity is killing you! All the guilt must be exhausting. Turn it off," Klaus said again, teasing Stefan.
"No!" Stefan yelled determinedly.
"Stefan…" Elena whispered his name with hope.
"You're strong," Klaus said as he walked towards Stefan. "But you're not that strong," he said and pulled the stake from Stefan's torso. "Turn. It. Off." A moment passed as I watched the two vampires nervously, and before I knew it, it turned bad. Real bad.
"NO!" Stefan yelled and pushed Klaus that the hybrid staggered backwards. Klaus eyes flashed with anger as Stefan defied him and he flashed over to Stefan, pinning him against the wall.
"TURN IT OFF!"
My heart stopped beating. He compelled him…Klaus had compelled Stefan to turn his humanity off. Stefan struggled, I could see that. But no one can resist compulsions. Even Stefan's love for my twin sister wasn't strong enough to resist Klaus's compulsion.
"What did you do?" Elena uttered disbelievingly as she watched Stefan in horror.
"I fixed him. But I think a test is in order, don't you?" Klaus asked and went behind Elena.
"Ripper...Perhaps you'd like a drink from the doppelganger's neck?" Klaus asked with a smirk and pulled Elena's hair to reveal her neck. I gasped in horror when Stefan's face turned red and dark veins appeared underneath his eyes, as his bloodlust took over.
"No, Stefan!" I shouted, trying to get him to look at me. But his eyes remained on Elena's neck, and I felt myself being dragged by Klaus. "No, no, no!" I whispered frantically as he dragged me out of the room. The door was closed and I couldn't see them anymore, but I did hear my sister's scream.
"You bastard!" I shouted, pushing Klaus off of me. He sighed, annoyed and then rushed over at me with his vampire speed. He took my face in his hands and looked straight into my eyes. No, please don't compel me. What else did he want from me?!
"Go home and have a good night sleep, sweetheart," he compelled and I glared at him as I remembered the vervain that I had taken.
"Sorry, I'm on vervain," I hissed and he rolled his eyes.
"Well then, I'm sorry for this," he said lightly and I raised an eyebrow at him in confusion. He smiled at me before snapping my neck.
"So the doppelganger isn't the problem. Her blood is the solution," Rebekah said in conclusion as they waited outside the hospital.
"Seems so," Klaus replied.
"How did you know?" Rebekah asked and Klaus fell silent for a while.
"Well, you know how much the Original Witch hated me. Do you honestly think I would do anything other than the opposite of what she says?" he asked, not mentioning the bizarre incident with Vanessa.
"A thousand years in the grave and she's still screwing with you," Rebekah commented lightly.
"Well, it makes sense if you think about it from her perspective. It was her failsafe in case I ever broke the hybrid curse. The doppelganger had to die in order for me to become a hybrid, but if she was dead…"
"Then you couldn't use her blood to sire yourself a new species," Rebekah finished it for him and he nodded.
"Leaving me alone for all time," Klaus said.
"Is that what this is about? Your obsession with hybrids. You just don't want to be alone?" Rebekah asked and Klaus took a few seconds to form his words. He couldn't answer his sister's question. He couldn't show his weakness, even to his own family.
"What I want is to take my girl, take my hybrid the hell out of this one pony town," Klaus said and turned his back on Rebekah. "You know, why don't you, uh, why don't you get the truck? I'll get Elena," he asked and Rebekah raised an eyebrow at him.
"We're leaving?" Rebekah questioned, a little surprised.
"Yes Bekah," Klaus said patiently.
"What about the blonde?" she asked unexpectedly.
"What about her?" Klaus inquired and Rebekah shrugged, sliding down from the car trunk.
"Saw the way you look at her," she stated casually and tried to read his reaction. Klaus gave off nothing so Rebekah just pursed her lips and touched her brother's arm gently. "It's alright to miss her, Nik," she said softly before leaving Klaus to get the truck. Klaus stood there silently, thinking of what his sister said before he felt a presence of another vampire.
"Well, look who finally decided to show up to the party," Klaus said dryly.
"Where is she?" Damon asked, striding angrily towards Klaus.
"Elena? Ah, she's making a donation to a greater cause," Klaus replied jokingly and blocked Damon's path. "I'm afraid I can't let you interfere, mate," he said lightly.
"You'll have to kill me," Damon hissed.
"Oh, I would love to kill you, but I made a pledge to your brother, and unlike him, I keep my word. Although, you know what, thinking about it now, he probably doesn't care that much anymore," Klaus told with a smirk before pinning Damon on the car's trunk. He raised his hand to plunge into Damon's chest but stopped as Damon blurted out the name of his father.
"Don't you want to know about your friend Mikael?" Damon choked and Klaus looked at the young vampire angrily.
"What do you know about Mikael?"
"Just that he knows you're here," Damon said victoriously.
"You're bluffing," Klaus stated.
"Katherine and I found him. Consider it our leverage," Damon said and Klaus clenched his jaw angrily before throwing Damon against the car and he fell to the ground. When he looked up, the hybrid had already disappeared. Damon saw Vanessa stepped out from the shadow and he raised his eyebrow at her.
"Thanks," he said dryly at her and she rolled her eyes at him. "Come on, let's go get Elena," he said and she stopped him.
"Wait, Damon. You said you and Katherine found Mikael?" she asked and Damon narrowed his eyes at her.
"You know about Mikael?" he asked and Vanessa shook her head.
"Katherine told me you two were looking for him," she said. "Where is he?"
"Ask her. She's still with Jeremy," Damon said and glanced at her. It took her a couple seconds before she narrowed her eyes at him.
"Jeremy?" she asked. "What does Jeremy have to do with this?"
"Look, I'm sorry but we'll talk later okay?" Damon asked, his eyes darted to the hospital.
"Yeah, I'll wait at home," Vanessa said and Damon nodded before rushing to the hospital.
I groaned as I came back to life, rubbing my sore neck and rolled over before getting up.
"What the hell?" I muttered as I looked around. The hallway was deserted and I quickly got up to my feet. Right, Klaus snapped my neck, Elena's scream, and Stefan…Klaus compelled him to turn it off.
This was bad. Like really, really bad.
There's a ghost trying to contact Vanessa since season 3 has started, a frenemy or a family perhaps? Isobel?
