Third Person

Emma can't believe this is happening now. She has only been in Peach Creek for such a small amount of time and already Dylan is causing trouble. She didn't know that Kevin had decided to take Edd to the new aquarium that opened up last year in their hometown. That, she wasn't expecting.

She could see the exit coming up in front of her. She turns her blinker on to exit and signalling Nat to follow, she exits off the ramp. As she exits the bad feeling that she gets in her gut starts growing the closer they get to the aquarium. Emma just knows that something was going to go very, very wrong and soon.

They drive down the street until they come to the aquarium. She pulls into the parking lot and can see Kevin with a panicking Eddward, both off the bike. Emma parks next to Kevin and shuts down her bike before getting off.

"Eddward, calm down please," she says taking her helmet off. It won't help anyone if Edd was panicking.

Emma's golden red hair falls against her shoulders and back as it tumbles out of her helmet. She walks towards Edd and pulls her friend into her arms.

"Nothing's going to happen to you," she whispers to him before she pulls away. Just as she does they all hear the roars of engines.

Emma turns around to see Dylan parking his black camaro. Emma doesn't pay any real attention to the other vehicles of Dylan's friends as they park as well. Instead she her mind set on the boy in the black camaro. She growls as she stalks her way over to him.

Kevin's POV

"Emma wait," I warn, grabbing her arm and pulling her back.

"Kevin, let go," she hisses not looking at me, but at Dylan as he steps out of his car.

"Well, looks like everyone that I wanted all made it," Dylan speaks up with a smirk plastered onto his face.

I growl as I glare at him. It's easy to see him now that he is in the light of the setting sun. His hair is black with neon green bangs. He was built like a swimmer - much like Edd - but the look he is giving us took away any thoughts of him ever being handsome.

"Now Emma you truly know what I want," Dylan ignores the rest of us for now and instead turns his attention on Emma. What does he mean by that?

"Go fuck yourself Dylan!" Emma is absolutely livid as she spits the words at him while she yanks her arm out of my grasp.

I can feel Edd shaking besides me as he slips his hand into mine when Dylan gives a dark laugh. Emma hisses before stepping forward only to stop when Dylan pulls a gun out.

"Now love, it would be best to think before doing something stupid," he says smirking even bigger than before.

"Dylan, it doesn't have to end this way!" Emma tries to reason with him, looking at him horrified.

"Oh, but it always does for us, doesn't it, Emma?" He asks, stepping forward. "You've never learned to listen to me. I'm just making sure that you will from now on."

Emma looks back at Edd and me before sighing deeply. I can only wonder what she was going to do. Whatever it was it couldn't be good.

"Fine, you asshole," she finally gives in, refusing to look our way.

"Such a good girl, Emma," he says smiles sweetly even though we all know that it is anything but sweet.

Emma clenches her teeth as she steps forward, but Edd grabs her arm. She looks back at him with such sad and broken eyes.

"Eddward, please let go," she whispers softly not really trying to pull her arm away.

"Em, please don't go with him," he practically begs, giving her a heart breaking look.

"Eddward, it'll be fine," she tries to reassure him, placing a hand gently on his cheek.

Emma pulls her arm from Edd and moves to Dylan. He smirks and grabs her by the arm, pulling her towards him.

"You have no idea how happy I am to see that you finally did the right thing. I have one thing to say though, Love. I lied about never hurting Edd." Dylan remarks while pointing the gun at Edd.

I was about to move in front of him, but all I could hear was a loud 'BANG'. I look over to see Emma standing in front of a shocked Dylan. I look her over to see blood coming from her torso area.

"EMMA!" Double D screams.

"E-Emma? Why?" Dylan asks in shock, he didn't think that Emma would take the bullet for Double D. He is just as surprised as the rest of us.

"C-Cause t..this has t-to end, D...Dylan," Emma stutters before coughing up blood, smiling, " I d-did tr...truly l-love you o-once."

Sirens could be heard behind us causing me to look over at Nat holding his phone staring at Emma shocked and scared. During this whole thing everyone had forgotten that Nat was even there.

"I can't believe you," I hear Dylan say before something hit ground with a hard thud.

I turn to see Emma laying on the ground as more blood pools around her. I watch Double D run over to Emma crying. I stand back, not really sure what to do at the moment and still in shock over seeing my friend get shot down while protecting my boyfriend.

"Please, please not again!" Double D cries out as the police and paramedics surround us.

Dylan is arrested along with some of his friends. Nat and Wyatt are being asked questions, but what is happening to Edd is breaking my heart.

"Sir, you must let go," a paramedic says looking over at me for help. I could tell that he really didn't want to move Edd but knew that he had to if there was any hope in saving Emma.

I walk over and pull Edd into my arms. He turns and cries into my chest. I watch as the paramedic places Emma onto the stretcher with the help of another paramedic before hauling her up into the ambulance.

"Hey!" I call causing one of the paramedics to stop and turn towards us, "will she be alright?"

He looks at me with such sad eyes. I know something was wrong before he said, "Right now, we really can't say, but there is a slight chance she won't make it, I'm sorry."

With that he turns and heads into the ambulance closing the doors before leaving me with a broken dork. I watch as the ambulance blares its sirens and flashing lights as it rips down the street to the hospital.
