Christmas was about three days and Edd was sitting next to an unconscious Emma. Her once tan-ish skin now pale from no longer being outside. Edd no longer looked well either. His blue eyes a duller color and his hair a dirty mess under his beanie. He hadn't probably slept but a few hours every night afraid Emma would be gone.
"Edd," a voice from the doorway says.
Edd turn to see Kevin there leaning against the door frame. Edd hadn't seen him since that night.
"Edd, come with me," Kevin says holding a hand out.
Edd stares at the hand before looking back at Emma. Kevin sighs and heads over to Edd. He pulled the chair away from the bed and moved in front of Edd.
"We're going out tonight," Kevin says picking Edd up bridal style making Edd freak out.
"Put me down this instance, Kevin," Edd says hitting Kevin's chest as hard as he could.
"No Double D, we're going out," Kevin says heading towards the nurse's area, "Molly, call me if anything new happens to Emma, please."
"I shall Kevin," Molly, a nurse they have known since Emma arrived here, says smiling, "have a nice time boys."
"We will," Kevin says smiling heading now towards the exit.
Kevin stopped before leaving the hospital to see Nat with a jacket and other stuff in hand.
"Everything is ready for you guys," he says smiling.
"Thanks,dude," Kevin says smiling, "watch her for us."
"Will do, Wyatt has been asking to see her," Nat says waving to Wyatt follow him.
Wyatt smiling weakly at the two boys before following Nat. Kevin watch them go feeling sad for Wyatt. His green hair longer that it was before the accident.
Kevin put Edd down helping him put his coat on.
"Why do I need this?" Edd asks confused and tired.
"Double D, it's almost Christmas," Kevin says frowning.
"Oh," Edd says following Kevin outside.
Edd's face lit up seeing all the lights and the snow. He shiver feeling the cold wind hit his face.
"Wow!It's so pretty," Edd says smiling.
"Good, it's good to see you smile," Kevin says smiling pulling Edd with him to walk.
"Has it been that long, Kevin?" Edd asks looking at Kevin.
"Yes, Edd, it has," Kevin says walking over to a purple car.
Edd got in and leaned against the door. Kevin got in and drove towards his house. It didn't take them long to get there making Kevin nervous.
"Why are we here?" Edd asks looking around.
"Cause I want to take care of you now," Kevin says getting out and heading into the house.
Edd got out and followed Kevin inside before being pushed against the door. Edd was surprised as Kevin kissing him. Kevin felt so excited when he felt Edd kissing back. He's missed his Double Dork so much.
"Kevin," Eddward says softly as they pulled away.
"Oh Edd, I've missed you," Kevin says his hands reaching up touching Edd's face.
Edd stares at Kevin in surprise and sadness. He hadn't realized what he was doing to Kevin, but also didn't understand why he truly cared. They went on dates and kissed, but they weren't dating.
"Why?" Edd asks.
"Cause I love you, Edd," Kevin says before kissing Edd once more.
He pulls away and picks up Edd to take him upstairs. Kevin kicks opens his door and close it behind him.
"What on earth are you doing Kevin?" Edd asks confuse when Kevin set him on his bed.
"You," Kevin says smirking before licking his lips.
Sorry for taking so long to write this. Life has been hard for me. I just moved from Texas to Arkansas this past week and work was hard before I had to quite. Will have the next chapter soon.
