Previously in "I'll Still Be Here", Marcel remembers the first time he ever met Belinda after telling Diego not to take Sage as revenge.

Chapter Eleven

April let her eyes flutter open until she finally glimpsed a ceiling. Turning her head to the side, the brunette then noticed, and smiled at, the sight of a bare-chested Matt in deep slumber next to her. Her smile still on her face, April kissed his chest, tasting the skin under her lips. "Hmm," Matt murmured, stirring at her lips' caress, smiling when he saw her. "Good morning."

"Good morning to you too," April said as she moved back up to kiss him on the lips. Pulling back, she moved to put her arms over his chest, fingers intertwined up to her knuckles. "Did you sleep well?"

"Are you kidding? I had an angel beside me," he said with a smirk.

April smiled at his words. "Oh, Matty, you always know the right things to say." She kissed him. "I slept like an angel as well because I had a super sexy man next to me."

He smirked again then said, "A super sexy man, hmm?"

"Mm-hmm," April replied.

Matt smiled. "I like the sound of that. No one ever called me super sexy before."

"Oh, so that makes me first?" April asked with a smirk as she moved to straddle him.

Matt smiled. "It definitely makes you the first."

"Good," she said as she leaned down to caress her lips over his. Matt smiled against her lips and returned her kiss.

"I love you," he said a moment later after he broke the kiss.

April smiled. "I love you too, Matty."

Matt kissed her again. "That sounds adorable when you call me that."

"Yeah, you think so?" she asked.

"I know so," he said with another smirk before letting his hands move to rest on her still-flat stomach.

April trembled as she felt his hands on her stomach. "Oh, Matty, that feels so good!"

He grinned, but moved his hands again, this time going upward. April panted as she felt his hand moving upward, letting out a scream of pleasure. Damn it, he knew just what to do to drive her crazy, which she loved most about him. "Are you ready for me, April?" she heard Matt ask her in a hoarse tone as he gently eased her until he had aligned his rock-hard member with her moist folds.

April nodded, panting heavily. "Yes, Matty, I'm ready for you."

Matt smiled then shifted until he could glide himself into her, going slowly so that he didn't hurt her or the baby. April wrapped her legs around his waist and rocked her hips against him, keeping in time with his movements exactly.

Two Hours Later

Matt let his head shift to rest on April's small baby bump, one set of fingers gently stroking over it. April sighed happily as she felt his fingers on her belly. "That was amazing."

"It was, wasn't it?" he replied. "You were amazing as well."

April flushed bright red. "You did most of the work. I just followed you."

Matt smiled. "You were still amazing, though."

She smiled back at him. "So, we should start thinking of names for the baby," she told him.

Matt nodded. "I guess we should. Though, we don't know what it is."

"We don't, but I want to find out. I don't like being in suspense," April said.

"I don't like either," Matt said. "I want to know if we're going to have a son or daughter."

She smiled at him. "I want to know too. It will be nice to also see what they end up looking like, you with my eyes or me with your eyes," she said.

Matt laughed slightly. "That would be interesting, wouldn't it?"

"Yes, it would. And if it's a girl, I want to name her after my father," April said.

Matt smiled. "Andrea is a beautiful name."

"Yes, it is. But, I have a feeling that our first born is going to be a healthy baby boy," his girlfriend said.

Matt nodded. "And I think I know the perfect name for a boy."

"You do? What?"

"I don't know about you, but I kind of like Gavin."

"Me too, I think it's perfect," April said with a big grin.

Matt smiled. "Very well then, Gavin it is." He then glanced over when his cell phone rang, and he leaned over to pick it up off the night stand, groaning when he looked at the caller ID.

"Who is it? Who's calling?" April asked with a concerned look.

"It's my mother," he replied before answering the phone. "Hello, Mom."

Kelly Donovan cleared her throat and said, "Hello, Matt. Am I interrupting anything important?"

"Oh, no, Mom, I was just catching up with friends," Matt replied. He rolled his eyes at April, who used one hand to muffle the giggles threatening to escape.

"Okay, sweetie," Kelly said. "I thought I'd surprise you with a phone call. I've been thinking about you lately."

"That's…good, I suppose," Matt said. "How have you been, Mom?"

"Oh, I've been all right," Kelly said. "I've been working on bettering myself, which hasn't been easy, but I'm getting there."

"That's good then. You deserve to get back on your feet, Mom," Matt said.

"I do," Kelly said. "I want to be the kind of mother you'd be proud of, Matt. I made mistakes in the past, and I'm going to rectify that."

"Where's the rehab clinic? I'll come to visit you," Matt said.

Kelly nodded. "It's in Richmond. And I would love it if you visited me."

"I'll see if I have a clearing in my schedule and drive there," her son replied.

Kelly smiled. "That's great. I look forward to seeing you again."

"Me too, Mom," Matt said.

Kelly felt tears welling up in her eyes. "Well, I won't keep you from your friends, honey. I love you and I hope to see you soon."

"Love you too, Mom," Matt replied.

"Well, I won't keep you from your friends, honey. I love you and I hope to see you soon."

"Love you too, Mom," Matt replied.

April then watched as he hung up the phone. "What did she say, Matt?"

"She's in a rehab facility in Richmond," he replied. "She says that she wants to get her life back together."

"That's great," April said. "I'm glad that your mother is getting the help she needs. I know that it couldn't have been an easy decision for her to make."

"It was hard. But, she's doing well. She sounded well. And I'm proud of her for that," Matt said.

April nodded. "I'm proud of her too. She deserves to have another chance at life."

"She really does. After what happened to Vicki and Mom all but landing into bed with my best friend, I knew she would've needed to do something to change her life. I just never imagined that it would actually happen," Matt said.

"Well, I definitely want to meet her," April said. "She's going to want to know that she's going to be a grandmother soon. I know that you're hesitant about it, but really, Matt, my parents are dead and your mom is the only grandparent Gavin has."

"I'm not hesitant," he said as he used a gentle hand on her stomach. "I know that Gavin should know her too. He deserves it."

April smiled, placing her hand on top of his, kissing him gently. "It's settled then. We'll go to Richmond together to see your mother and tell her about Gavin."

Two Weeks Later

April got out of the passenger seat of the car at the Hope is Alive Clinic where his mother was residing, and moved around the front of the car until she met Matt on the other side. Matt smiled at her as he took her hand. "Are you ready to meet my mom?"

April nodded, smiling as well. "Yes, Matt, I'm definitely ready to meet her."

He nodded and they headed inside, where they stopped at the front desk. When the receptionist approached them, Matt said, "Hi, we're here to see Kelly Donovan. I'm her son, Matt, and this is my girlfriend, April Young."

"I will let Miss Kelly know that you're here," the receptionist said before using the phone to make a quick phone call. Matt nodded and hugged April to him as they waited for the receptionist to make her phone call. "Miss Kelly will see you in the recreational hall."

Matt nodded again then led April into the room that the receptionist took them to, where Kelly stood by a window. Kelly turned around when she saw Matt and April. "Hello, you two."

"Hey, Mom," Matt said as he went over to hug her quickly.

Kelly smiled as she returned his hug. "I've missed you so much, Matt. I tell my counselors how proud I am of you and what a fine young man you've become."

"I've missed you too, Mom. And I thought you should be the first to know. April is expecting my baby," Matt told her.

Kelly looked at April and then back to her son. "I'm going to be a grandmother?"

April smiled. "That's right, Kelly. You're going to be a grandmother soon and hopefully to a little boy that we're going to call Gavin."

Kelly felt her eyes fill up with tears. "This is the best news I've heard in years. I'm very happy for you both," she said. Matt hugged her tighter, one of his hands gently stroking over her dark red hair.

"Thank you, Mom," Matt said. "We thought you should know, since April's parents are dead."

Kelly nodded. "This should definitely give me an even bigger incentive to keep up with my therapy. I want my future grandson to be proud of me."

"He will be, Mom," Matt said. "He'll be just as proud of you as I am."

"Excuse me, but is one of you a Miss April Young?" another voice asked from behind them, and they all turned to see a strikingly beautiful woman.

April gasped. "Mom?" she asked. "But, I…"

"You thought I was dead?" the woman said. "No, I'm very much alive. Your father just manipulated everyone, including you, into thinking I was dead. Apparently, he thought that having an alcoholic for a wife was embarrassing for him as a pastor, so he had me tucked away in this fine establishment and shortly thereafter, he lied to the congregation that I was dead."

When April launched herself at the older brunette, Theresa Castillo was quick in hugging her daughter back. She'd missed holding her precious 'April Shower', and now that Andrew was gone, she'd make damn sure that she'd remain a part of April's life for good. April stepped back and said, "As long as you're here, Mom, I have news. You're going to be a grandmother, just like Matt's mom. We're having a boy and we're planning on naming him Gavin."

"That's wonderful news, darling. I can't wait to help with the pregnancy," Theresa said with a smile.

April smiled. "That's good, because I could definitely use the help. Matt is already helping, which I'm grateful for, but I need more than just his help. I also need my mom to help me."

"Of course, my darling April Shower; we'll have it all figured out by the time Kelly and I get out of this joint," Theresa replied with another warm smile as she kissed her daughter's forehead.

Matt smiled. "That sounds like a plan to me."

Theresa smiled back. "Take care of my little girl, Matthew. I'm counting on you," she said.

Matt nodded. "I intend to, Mrs. Young."

Theresa smiled. "No need to be formal, dear. Call me Theresa."

"And you," Kelly said, looking at April, "can call me Kelly. I insist upon it. After all, we're all going to be family soon."

April nodded. "Okay, Kelly."

"We'll see you both soon, hopefully on the other side of these walls," Theresa said, hugging her daughter one more time before April and Matt left the facility.

"I just can't believe that we not only saw your mother, but I got reunited with mine," April said. "Talk about miracles."

"I'm glad that you got to see her again, April. And I'm glad that we have two grandmothers for our future son," Matt said as he helped her into the car before climbing in himself.

April nodded. "Yeah, we certainly will, and Gavin is going to be spoiled."

Before starting the engine of the truck, Matt leaned over and kissed April's small bump. "I love you, little man," he said softly before he leaned up and kissed April softly. "And I love you."

April smiled and returned his kiss. "We love you too, Daddy, with all our hearts."

Matt smiled back then started the truck, driving away from the facility and heading back to Mystic Falls. April smiled and sighed as she sat back in her seat, resting her head against the back of the seat. She soon fell asleep, and only woke up a couple hours later when she felt herself being lifted out of the truck and carried into her house. Matt carried April into the house and gently laid her down on the bed, joining her soon afterward and holding her close, kissing her cheek gently. "I love you, April."

"I love you too," she whispered sleepily.

Matt smiled and continued to hold her, feeling her body against his. He knew that being with her like this was going to be somewhat difficult as her belly grew, but that didn't matter. What did matter was being able to snuggle with the girl who stole his heart and was never going to let it go.

Meanwhile

"So, Hayley, can I ask…what's going on between you and Elijah? I thought for sure that you'd run into the arms of that handsome werewolf that's in town?" Caroline asked as she, Sage and Hayley sat around the table in the drawing room. Sage sat behind Caroline, braiding the blonde's curly hair while Hayley read a book in the couch opposite the two vampires.

Hayley looked up from her book. "Elijah and I are together, Caroline. He loves me and will do just about anything for me and the baby. I don't want anyone else."

"Okay. I was only asking because I was going to introduce him to a friend of mine from back home," Caroline said.

Hayley raised an eyebrow at the blonde. "Trust me, Caroline, Elijah and I are happy. He told me that he was over Katherine and that I was the only one he wants. Maybe you can introduce Jackson to your friend."

Caroline nodded. "I think it's great that you and Elijah are together. I wish you much happiness with him," she said.

Hayley smiled. "Thank you, Caroline."

"You're welcome," Caroline replied before turning her head dutifully when Sage put her slender fingers on top of the blonde's head to turn it back to face forward.

Hayley watched Sage finish braiding Caroline's hair and went back to reading, placing her hand gently on her belly and silently humming a lullaby to the baby. As she continued to hum, she felt gentle jabs against her belly and hand. "Hi, baby girl," she said softly. No sooner did she say that than she felt another kick. "You're definitely an active little one, aren't you, sweetheart?"

"Have you and Niklaus decided on a name for her yet?" Sage asked as she then turned so that Caroline could do her hair.

"We decided on Hope," Hayley replied.

Caroline nodded. "That's a pretty name. Hope Mikaelson. That definitely fits."

"Hope Esther Mikaelson," Klaus said as he, Finn and Elijah ventured into the room where the three women were gathered. Hayley grinned then rushed up to Elijah, who blurred them out of the room without hesitation. Klaus smiled as he watched Hayley and Elijah leave the room. "It's good to see that Elijah is finally happy. I thought he'd never have anyone in his life, especially not after the way his heart was trampled on so many times."

"We all found love, brother," Finn said with a smile as he wrapped Sage in his arms, kissing her temple as she snuggled back against him.

Klaus smiled as he went over to Caroline. "Yes, we certainly have."

Elsewhere, Elijah had taken Hayley to his room, where he proceeded to kissing her passionately and caressing her body with his gentle hands. Hayley then grabbed his hands and nibbled his bottom lip. "I want you, Elijah. I don't know if it's the hormones or what, but I want you...now."

"Then you shall have me," he said before sweeping her into his arms and carrying her over to the bed, where he laid her down and followed her.

Hayley removed his jacket, followed by his tie and shirt, throwing them to the floor before removing the shirt she was wearing. Elijah kissed her lips and then moved to her jaw line and then her neck, feeling his fangs protrude, scraping one of them gently across her skin. He wanted to bite her and mark her as his, but wasn't sure if she wanted him to or not. "Elijah…" she murmured, tilting her head to the side.

Elijah heard her murmur and looked at her. "Yes, Hayley, what is it?"

"I…want you to bite me," she replied. "Mark me as yours so that no one will ever question who I belong to. I want to be yours and yours alone. And, don't worry about taking too much; Hope will heal me."

He nodded then sank his fangs into her neck, drinking her blood. It was sweet, almost like honey-sweet nectar or an aphrodisiac, and he couldn't get enough. Hayley panted slightly as she felt Elijah bite her, bringing her hand up to place it on the back of his head, running her fingers through his short, dark brown hair, the strands feeling soft against her skin.

Elijah finally got his fill and removed his fangs from her neck. And then he simply stared at her while her fingers played with his hair. Hayley smiled at him. She didn't know why, but she liked seeing her blood on his face. "I love you, Elijah."

"And I love you, Hayley Marshall," he said with a smile before capturing her lips with his a second time.

As they continued to kiss, Hayley undid the button on his pants and pulled them down, along with his boxers. Elijah followed suit and removed her leggings and underwear, after which he reached behind her and undid the clasp of her bra, throwing it to the floor by their discarded clothing. Once that was done, he glided his throbbing member into her and let her adjust to his size before thrusting into her. Hayley responded by rocking her hips against his thrusts, feeling the heat rise between them.
