Accepting Chapter 10

First Dates

Ally's POV

"I can't believe it! I'm actually going on a date! And actual date! Well. It's not exactly a date. BUT IT'S LIKE A DATE. But with Austin... Or forget it! I'm going on a date!" I squealed softly.

It had been ten minutes since Austin had asked me out. He didn't give any details yet, but nevertheless I was giddier than a kid on Christmas.

All of my excitement was abruptly on hold because I ended up remembering Trish. She doesn't know what just happened... Maybe I can stall her. For a while. More like a week. Or a month. Or 50 years. Yeah. That works.

Should I call her? No... Maybe. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. Yes. No. Ugh. I'll just do it.

And before I knew it, I whipped out my phone and it began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Trish?"

"Ally? What's up?"

"Can we delay the whole humiliating-scheme-on-Austin for like... A week?" I asked sheepishly.

"Why?" She questioned.

"I'm just really busy and I need to finish some work before I do anything." I lied.

"Oh okay. So next Friday is good?" She asked.

"Yes. Perfect..." I answered flatly.

"Okay! Bye." Then she hung up.

I slipped my phone in my pocket and sighed. I may have delayed the plan but it's still happening. And if it really does happen, I hope Trish changes her mind on what do to because I may or may have thrown away the recorder before Austin came... Haha... Oops.

And plus it's not like Trish is going to notice right? Right?

(Nope.)

Saturday

So this date came faster than I had thought. Austin had texted me this morning that he'd pick me up at 7:30. Right now, it's 6:39 and I still don't have anything to wear. I wanted to look my best. I sighed. If only Trish was here. But she doesn't know. I bit my lip and chose a yellow and red sundress that I haven't worn in a while.

With that, I rushed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I remembered I didn't have too much time so by the time I got out of the shower it was 7:05 and that means Austin was coming in less then 30 minutes.

I quickly dried myself with my towel and slipped on the dress, not caring about the fact it was slightly wrinkled.

I glanced at the clock again to notice it was 7:15. I sighed. I still had to do my hair and lord knows how long it takes with my hair. But nonetheless I plugged in the straightener and quickly but carefully started doing my hair. Which surprisingly, took me half the time to do it because once I was done, it was 7:25.

I ran to my closet and slipped on my white wedges and headed downstairs, and as I did, the doorbell rang. I smiled. He was here. And on time. I smoothed out my dress and opened the door.

And lo and behold, was Austin. He was wearing a white shirt, a red leather jacket, ripped jeans and black converse. And he was holding a small bouquet of flowers.

"Ready to go?" He said blushing a little and handing me the flowers.

I gingerly took the the flowers and smiled. I quickly notified him I'll be right back and placed the flowers in a vase of water.

I ran back and said, "Let's go."

He wrapped his arm around my shoulders giving me a warm safe feeling and he led me to his car. He opened the door for me and I slipped inside. A minute later, he came around and went inside the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked once we got moving.

"It's a secret." He chuckled.

"Whyyyyyyyy?" I whined. I hate surprises.

"Becausssseeee," He said mocking me, "It's our first d-I mean-time hanging out so it has to be special."

Did he just say date? I thought.

"No. I never said that. I mean why would it be a date we like I don't know barely each other why would this hang out be a date. Haha. I would never take a girl out on a date after knowing them for like a week." He rambled. I must have said that out loud.

"Alrighty..." I said trailing off.

After a few minutes of silence, he stopped the car. I looked at him confused and asked, "Why did you stop?"

"We're here." He said with a small smile dancing on his lips.

But we still stayed inside the car.

"Are we-"

"Oh yeah yeah. I forgot." He said getting out of car. Few seconds later, he opened my door and helped me out. He shut the door and motioned me to follow him. I still had no clue where we were and the uneasy feeling in my stomach said a lot about how I was feeling.

Then, I felt something warm wrap around my hand. I looked down to see my hand wrapped up nicely in his. I look up at his face and even though it was dark I could see the smile on his face and the blush forming on his cheeks. I bit my lip in an attempt to hide my own blush.

He led me to a low hill and there was a small picnic. I gasped. It was so adorable. I felt tears build up in my eyes. I loved it.

Austin thought differently. "What? You don't like it? I didn't know any of your favorite foods so I just guess-"

"No. It's just. No one's ever done this for me." I whispered. "I love it. Thank you so much" Then, I turned to him and gave him a hug. He froze for a second before wrapping his arms around me. We stood there for a minute before I pulled away, instantly missing his warmth.

"We better get to the food." He chuckled.

And with that, he led me the blanket with the basket and we both sat down on either side.

I started to peek inside before he slapped his hand on top of the lid.

"What?"

"Allow me. These have been finely crafted and must be handled with care." He said in a French accent.

I chuckled and replied, "Okay, Chef Moon."

Then he reached into the basket and pulled out a... Sandwich?

"A sandwich? Really?"

"Not just any sandwich, it's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The finest thing I can make."

"Sure..." I said grabbed the sandwich and taking a bite. My eyes widen. Oh my gosh. This is the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich I ever had!

"How?"

"A chef never reveals his secrets." He says.

For the rest of the night, we ate, told jokes, did a bit of star gazing and just had an amazing time. Needless to say, this is the best not-a-date I've had in a while. I never felt so happy before.

After the night was over, he drove us home. It was silent, but it was a nice lovely silent. Not awkward. Which I loved. Once we got home, he led me to my house. Once we got to the door, we just stopped.

"Thanks for the night. It was amazing." I smiled.

"Yeah. I'm really glad you liked it." He replied.

I walked closer to him, leaned up and gently kissed his cheek. I pulled away and he was smiling and I saw a faint blush appear on his cheeks.

"Yeah. I'll see you later." He said happily and we both went our separate aways.

As I stepped into my house, I sighed.

Best. Date. Ever.

A/N: Hello. Haven't updated in forever. I procrastinated. A lot. So I brought you this Auslly filled chapter yay! I personally loved this chapter because it was cute and funny lol. So anyways, some people told me this story was a bit confusing. I understand. I felt it was, but I realized I can make it make sense in the end so yay confusion! But one major thing to point out:

Austin is bi. Not gay. There's a difference between being bi and gay. If he was gay, he wouldn't have any real feelings for Ally now would he? Nope.

So I hope that cleared up something. Probably not. Oh well.

And thanks so so so much for your reviews, favs and follows I really appreciate it! :D

'Til next time!
