Accepting Chapter 11
Worries?
Austin's POV
After Ally closed the door, I sighed. It was the best date I ever had. I carefully traced my cheek from where she kissed me. I chuckled at the thought she really makes me feel this way. The first girl I've known made me feel like there's butterflies in my stomach, my hands get sweaty, and my heart starts racing. I haven't felt like this in so long...
A flicker of lights cuts me out of my daze and I realized I was still standing at her door. I chuckled at myself for being dumb and went back to my house. I unlocked the door and found mom watching TV. You see, after that day at the hospital, she moved back in with me and unlike someone I know, she was willing to stay with me. And accept me. Again- Unlike someone I know.
"Mom?" I asked as I approached the living room.
Startled, she shifted her position and faced me. "So how was it?" She asked once she got a full view of me.
I bit my lip and looked down at my feet in an attempt to hide my on growing blush that was forming on my face. I looked up for a second and soon let out a small chuckle once I saw the smirk on her face.
She abruptly stood up and ran towards me."My little boy is all grown up!" She squealed teasingly and pinching my cheeks.
Annoyed, I quickly pulled her hands from my face and I let out a loud groan."Moooommmmmm!" I whined.
She let out a low chuckle before she spoke up, "I'm just kidding with you. This is the happiest I've seen you since..." The she stopped abruptly. I knitted my eyebrows in confusion. She gave me a knowingly look before it dawned on me. The confusion washed away and was replaced by pain.
"Oh... Austin I'm sorry." She apologized quietly.
"It's okay mom. Really it is." I sighed.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. It's cool." And with that I went up to my room and striped down to my boxers and flopped on my bed, ignoring the event that happened moments before and soon focused on the date.
Words to describe it are nonexistent, if there is, then it's probably a lot of words. Good words though. Not bad. No. The date wasn't even close to the definition if bad. I'm sure that bad would stand out like neon yellow dot on black paper. If I had words to say how good it was, it would awesome, amazing, incredible, epic, just any word that means good.
And the best part? She loved it! Not like. But love! I barely knew her favorite food and she still loved it! And I may have to remember to get pickles for next time. Haha.
Ugh. I just love her so much. I just wished she knew how much I really did. Sometimes, I wonder about my life without her. Sure my life was partially okay but it still sucked. She was the sunshine in my dark and rainy world. I don't know what'd I'd do without her. Maybe... What if she likes me back? No no. No. Not possible. It's just not an answer. She doesn't love me.
She just thinks of me as a friend. Nothing more.
Right?
(No.)
Two days Later
Monday
I walked out to my car and glanced at Ally's house. I looked over again and decided to go ask her for a ride. We haven't talked since Saturday night and it gave me time to think. Like what if she really does like me? That's all I've been thinking about.
I tried to ask Dez but he was so bitter about the date for some reason. I couldn't put my finger on it...
Flashback
"Hey Dez. Look I got something to tell you." Was the first thing I told Dez when he came over Sunday afternoon.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I went on a date-" I started but I was soon cut off.
"Let me stop you right there. You went on a date and didn't tell me?!" He spat annoyed.
"Well if you knew who I was with I knew you would try to sabotage it because you don't even like her." I defended.
It was quiet for a moment. All he did to me was stare into my he spoke up.
"It was Ally wasn't it?" He mumbled quietly. But I still heard him loud and clear.
"Yeah. Is that a problem?" I asked.
"No. It's not a problem at all." He spat.
"Then why do you care that it was Ally? As far as I know, Ally hasn't hurt a fly."
He mumbles something I couldn't understand. All I heard was "chance" and "you". But it still wasn't enough to understand.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh. It's nothing." He said dryly.
"Then what's your problem with her? I'm your best friend you should be able to tell me." I assured him.
Then he mumbles again. And once again, I couldn't hear him.
"Huh?"
"You know I'll just be going now." And with that, he slammed the door shut and left without another word. Leaving me confused...
What's he hiding?

Present
I haven't spoken to him since. I tried texting and calling him but no avail. Hopefully he's cooled down by now.
"Austin?" Ally's voice breaks my thoughts. I looked down at the short brunette's smirk and slight amusement.
I blushed in embarrassment and chuckled nervously. "Hey Ally..."
"Hello. How are you this fine morning?" She asked formally.
I straighten my posture and then remembered why I was at her door in the first place, "I'm fine. Just wanted to ask you if you wanted a ride to school today?"
"I'd be glad if you did." She giggled.
In a fake British accent, I asked,"Shall we m'lady?" And then I stuck out my elbow, as a sign to hold it.
"We shall." She responded as she wrapped her tiny hands m around my arm. With that, we walked to my car. I guided her to the other side and opened to the door. I did a gesture and she nodded in appreciation.
"So how was your weekend?" She asked as we got on the road.
"Well Saturday was awesome." I responded with a wink her direction and she blushed. I smirked, I got her. "Don't lie. You know you loved it."
"Nahhh." She joked.
"Well I guess I won't be bringing any pickles and you can just forget about going out again. Sigghhhh." I shrugged. She gasped.
"You wouldn't dare..." She threaten.
"Oh but I would." I challenged.
"Fine." She huffed as I smirked in satisfaction.
"Whatever. How was Sunday?" She asked dryly.
"Sunday... Um... Sunday was off." I said.
"Why?"
"Dez came over. As usual, he came to play video games. But as soon I mentioned as I mentioned Saturday, he started to act strange. Normally, I wouldn't mind. But this kind of strange is new to me. Almost like he was jealous. But he probably isn't. He doesn't have a crush on you." Then there was a short pause. "What if he does?" I say as my eyes widen.
She blinked. "Um.. Uh... Let's hope he doesn't..."
"Um yeah..." I responded awkwardly.
The rest of ride was quiet apart from the radio softly playing instrumental versions of songs.
Soon enough, we made it to school. We quietly came out of the car with me helping her out. As we walked, I sensed she was tense. I glanced down at her and there was pure fear in her eyes.
"Alls. What's wrong?" I asked her.
"Oh... Um. I-It's nothing. Just peachy." She stuttered.
"Ally..." I warned.
"Okay. Um... You may think I'm crazy. But what if Dez hates me?" I widened my eyes at her. What?! "What if he's trying to pry us apart because he hates me? I mean he's your best friend! Everyone knows if the best friend doesn't approve all goes to hell!" She panted.
"Ally!" I shouted grabbing her shoulders.
"Yes...?" She asked quietly.
"Calm down. I can assure you he doesn't hate you. If he did, I'd still be with you. Okay?"
It took a minute before she spoke in a soft voice, "Okay."
"Good. Now let's get to class before we're marked late." I said as wrapped my arm around her shoulders and walked toward the front doors. As we did, I felt an uneasy feeling in my stomach. I shook off the feeling and continued on to class.
It's probably my mind just messing with me.
