A Nightmare Come True

No One's POV (Ally)

"Austin?!" She screamed in shock and disbelief. Her eyes were already blurring up from the tears. But she can still see clearly what was happening. Austin was cheating on her.

Austin. Cheating. It's so strange how two completely different things can be placed in a sentence. It seem impossible. But right now, it was certainly possible.

He pulled Dez off of him and turn to her. His face was red and wet. His eyes were filled with regret and fear. As if he asking her to hear him out and resolve everything. But she refused. She saw what she saw. And she wasn't going to let him win. Actually, he already won. He broke her heart. So she would lose either way.

She walked away as she heard his calls her get weaker and broken. She peeks over her shoulder to find him on his knees. Defeated. She kept walking. She wasn't going to turn back.

That is, until a hand grabs her hand and spins her around. She's greeted face to face with the blonde. He was visibly shaking and sobs were getting caught in his throat. He couldn't get anything out. She was crying too. But she wasn't about to hear his sob story.

She yanked her hand out of his and turned around. Running as fast as her short legs can carry her, she hears him sigh and sniffle. She almost felt bad. But she shook her head as she kept going.

She feels like an idiot. She knew full well he was a troublemaker. She knew he would play around. His kind words and actions pushed away that. But after what she saw, she felt betrayed.

I'm committed to you! He said.

I'll make you happy! He said.

Dez isn't gonna get in the way! He said.

Well. Guess what? He lied. He freaking lied. He wasn't committed to her. He didn't make her happy. Dez did get in the way! As tears kept running down her face, she thought to herself. How could she fallen for his innocent acts and sweet words. How could she let herself trust him?

How could she have actually fallen in love with him?

How could she?

She sighed and leaned against the nearest tree. Sliding down, she brought her knees up and sobbed.

She can't believe she showed her true colors to him. She trusted him with pretty much everything. And what does she get in return? She gets cheated on. She gets her heart crushed to in dust. She gets... Betrayed. All these empty promises. She feels they were never fulfilled.

She looks up and she sees him get into his car. She can easily see his red face as he roughly wiped away the tears. She bites her lip. Why is he upset? He was the one who made the mistake. If anything, he should be glad he's not tied down anymore. He can make out with anyone he pleases.

Just not her.

Her walk home was awful. Her ride was her now ex boyfriend. He left without her. So she had to walk. Not that she was that mad, being in a car with him was the last thing she wanted. Then it started raining. Really hard. So she had to run. Eventually, she got tired. But luckily, she was at her house. Which is next to his.

She glances at his house. He's on the front porch. Staring aimlessly at the rain. In his hands, he has a small piece of paper. And every time he looked at it, a tear slips out of his eye. At least from she can tell from the furious wiping he's doing.

She walks up to her house and that's when he sees her. He tries to smile but he couldn't. He turns away and continues to stare at the rain. She rolls her eyes and walks inside. He's not worth her time anymore.

But that's his own problem.

She goes her room, sits on her bed and sighs. It's crazy she woke this morning thinking it was gonna be a pretty normal day. And then she finds she's been cheated on and she's left out in the rain.

She would be lying if she said she didn't already miss him. Something in her heart tells her to go back for the explanation. But she refuses. What she saw back at school was enough of an explanation for her.

They've been together for just over a month. That's not a lot of time. But the memories they made is enough to last a lifetime. But they were washed away with the rain. Their relationship was all a blur. It seems she can't remember anything now.

Maybe that's what she needs. Just forget everything. They're not together anymore. So why does she need to remember anything?

Maybe she's falling into her place. She's on her own now without him. She can live without him. She has before. But this time, there's just this big hole in her heart that only he can fill.

Once one of them find someone else, they'll be fine.

She's fine with that.

And then her phone buzzed. Opening it, she had received a text. From him.

I'm sorry.

She felt anger boil inside of her. All this and he sends a sorry excuse of an apology?! Does he not understand he broke more than her heart?!

Before she can reply, he sends another text.

I understand you're mad. I understand you never wanna see me again. I...

The text stopped there. She sat there utterly confused. What was he trying to say? Was he going to say sorry again? If so, pathetic. She had no time for his bull. She had no time for him period.

Well. Until she typed out a text.

It's just best if we just move on. You know we can't be friends, Austin.

She pressed send and it a load of guilt piled on her. But she instantly shook it off. She placed her phone down on her dresser and stared at the ceiling.

Not even a second later, her phone buzzed.

Slowly opening her phone, the text shown made her heart drop.

You don't want me around anymore...?

She started to panic. And shake. And cry. Of all things he could have registered from her next was that? Yes. She doesn't want to speak to him again. Yes. She doesn't want to forgive him. Yes. She doesn't want to date him again. Well. Maybe.

But never had she had thought to completely shut him out of her life.

Austin... She sent.

Well I'm sorry I've been a burden to you. Enjoy your life without me.

AUSTIN!

Bye Ally.

Austin wait!

Error! Message not sent.

She tried to send the text. But he had blocked her number. Nothing would send. Her eyes filled with tears. This was her mistake. Austin didn't do anything. If anything, she was the one to break his heart.

That's when it clicked.

He never really did anything wrong. She... Was the one at fault. Not him. He didn't break her heart. She broke his heart. And now he believes he's not wanted in her life anymore.

Then another thing clicked in her mind.

Her nightmare from the other day! It foreshadowed that this would happen.

She takes everything back... Well. She would if she could. It's too late. She's so mad, upset and confused right now. She throws her phone at a wall. She screams. She kicks everything at her disposals. She ends up with a bloody foot after she kicks an old lamp. She doesn't care. She didn't try to get him.

It's a nightmare came true.
