ENJOYYYYY

No One's POV (Ally)

After Austin had left, her and Dez just stood there awkwardly. She didn't know about Dez, but she can feel the tension. Well, what's more awkward than having Austin's best friend and ex girlfriend in the same area? And with no Austin? Well, a lot of things.

"So..." Dez said, breaking the tension. A beat of silence followed.

"Sigh."

"Look Ally, I'm really sorry for what happened with you and Austin. It's all my fault. If it wasn't for me, you guys would still be together." He said sympathetically.

"I... Sigh. I know. But it doesn't matter anymore. I don't feel anything for him anymore."

"Do you? Do you really?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Raising an eyebrow back at him and folding her arms, "Yes."

Stepping forward, "Really?"

"Really." She glared.

They both continued to glare at each other.

It went on for about five minutes. Then, Dez spoke up.

"You know, he really likes you. You have no idea how heartbroken he was that day. I never seen him so broken down in years. He went back to being that nasty jerk he was at the beginning of the year. He pretended he never even had you in his life. I never seen someone change so fast before him."

"Dez..." And almost immediately, as if something completely snapped inside of him, the look in his eyes darken and any sympathy inside of him was gone.

"Forget it. It's obvious you have nothing to say. Even if you did, I know you'll never go back to Austin. And I know because of you," He said as he jabbed a finger at her chest, "Austin will probably never be happy again." With that, he turned away and stormed off.

As she watched him walk away, she couldn't help but have a big pile of guilt on top of her. She knew Austin changed as of the earlier events, but she never really knew exactly what happened to him. Now that she does, her heart aches.

No. She doesn't like him. She doesn't. She. Has. A. Boyfriend. Who's not him. But she can't help but miss him as her boy-

"NO!" She shouted at no one in particular. Then a few people shot her a look.

Turning an embarrassing red, she slowly closed the door. Afterwards, she slid down the door sighing, no. She still can't have feelings for Austin. She can't.

And almost instantly she slowly burst into tears. No. It wasn't because she's scared that she might have feelings for him. It was because it's really hitting her that Austin's broken because of her. She finally realized how happy he was when he was with her. How bright and silly he was. How caring he was. Sadly enough, she realizing all this too late. She should have known it a long time ago.

But it's too late. She's moved on. She doesn't like him. She doesn't she swears. She really can't bring herself to like him again.

Then she started to sob harder. This can't be happening. She has a boyfriend. She really likes him. She really does.

But ever now and then, she would second guess herself. Letting her thoughts take control. Making her believe she might like Austin more than her boyfriend. She can't believe this; actually she doesn't know WHAT to believe anymore.

Then, a knock interrupted her thoughts. She quickly wiped her tears and smoothed out her clothing so it didn't look like she was miserable a few seconds ago.

Opening the door, she found the mailman with a box. She eyed the box and him. Taking the box, she slowly went back inside.

She placed the box on the table and stared at it. Yes. She knows staring will not open the box. She's just really confused as to why she has a box. Or why someone would send her a box.

Sighing, she decided to open the box. Peeling of the tape, she opened the flaps of the box. Inside, was in fact, another box. This time, much smaller, and frankly much more appealing as it was covered in a red wrapping paper. Taking it out, she unwrapped the second box. Taking off the lid, it's once again, another box.

Praying it's the last box, she unwrapped the orange paper and took off the lid. Inside, luckily was not another box. She would have screamed if it was. Looking in the box, it was a book.

She was once again. Confused. She knows she gets a new book each month since she has a subscription for free books but her monthly book had already came. So what's this?

Opening the front cover, which has nothing on it, the first page read To Ally. She didn't recognize the handwriting so she flipped the page for more clues.

The next page read,

I love. I-I... I love you. I've been holding it in for years.

She stopped there. She knew exactly who wrote this. She didn't need to continue.

She can't. She knows she can't. She needs to get rid of this. I can throw it away. She thought. Shaking her head, she realized it was a horrible idea. Austin could see me. I don't want him to see me.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted her dad's lighter he uses for grilling. Burn the book. Perfect. Looking around to see anyone was home, she carefully grabbed the lighter and ran out to the backyard with the book.

Setting everything down, she looked for a patch of dead grass to burn the book on. Finding one, she crawled her way to it. She took the lighter and started it. After a few clicks, a small flame started. Having the book in hand, she shook it so the pages were separated. Then, something fell out of one of the pages.

She eyed the object suspiciously, picking it up, it was a necklace. But not any necklace. It was the necklace she had told him about a few weeks back.

Flashback

"Ally?" Austin had called one Friday afternoon.

"Yes?" She replied.

"I'm bored." He said flatly.

She rolled her eyes even though he can't see her. "Why don't you call Dez and play video games?"

"I did. He's out of town."

"Then why did you call me?"

"Because you're my girlfriend. Duh."

"Good point."

"Now. Can we go somewhere?"

"Where?"

"I dunno. Anywhere."

"Sigh. I'll be outside."

"Great thanks! See you in five!" He cheered.

Chuckling, she replied, "Alright see you soon babe."

Then, five minutes later, he opened the door and there she was.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Always." She smiled.

Then they headed to his car and drove. Just drove. Until they got to downtown. It was surprisingly quiet considering Miami is a big city. Across the sidewalk, where an endless amount of small shops line up side by side.

He grabbed her hand and they headed down the line. Each shop was different. A bakery, a pet shop, a dollar store, an antique shop, and a jewelry shop. Each one fascinated her. Each one bored him.

She stopped him at the jewelry shop. As the necklace in the window caught her eye. It was beyond beautiful. She loved it. All she wants was the necklace.

Until she saw the price tag. It cost beyond a fortune. And she wasn't even close to rich. Considering she gets paid with chicken fingers.

Austin gave a her sympathetic look. She shook her head. It wasn't his fault the necklace was priced at a point beyond words.

Sure she wanted it. But it wasn't worth the price it had. It wasn't. So she pulled away from the window and Austin followed her to the next couple of stores.

End of flashback.

She sighed. The necklace was just as beautiful as she saw it that day. But it was no longer beautiful to her as she remembered who it came from. Well she tried too.

She flipped it over and read the sticky note attached to it.

Meet me at the park.

The note was short and simple but it gave her a lot of thinking. Did she want to meet him?

She looked at the necklace, the book, the note and the lighter. She reached for the lighter.

The small flame came over. Then she went for the note and waved the flame over the edge. And she watched the note burn to ashes. Then she had a choice between the book and the necklace.

She looked to the lighter and back to the book and necklace. Not knowing what to do. Flicking the lighter again. She made her decision.

She grabbed the necklace and tossed it over the fence. Not caring where it landed.

She returned her attention to the book. She inched the flame closer the flame. She watched it slowly burn away the edge. She couldn't wait anymore for the flame to burn. So she ran to the shed and grabbed small container of gasoline.

Running back, the book was barely burned. She slowly pour the gasoline over the book. And then she ignited it.

The book turn to ashes with in seconds.

Satisfied, she walked back to her house. Tossing away the previous events to the back of her mind as if it never happened. Well the burn marks on her hands from the flames will probably remind her for them but nonetheless she'll try to forget.
