Earthshaking War Part 1

(Washington DC. CADMUS HQ. March 20th, 16:34)

The helicopter landed in a large base with a chess piece insignia on it, as Amanda came off with the Titans in tow. Several Agents came out and saluted as a blonde haired woman walked up, wearing a white and gray jacket with black glove-clad hands, black boots and a cleavage-exposing jumpsuit with a pair of sunglasses over her eyes.

"And you are?" asked Nightwing, raising an eyebrow as the woman just smirked.

"The name is Vera Black, I'm the White Queen. As in, I am in charge of the strategic parts of CADMUS." She said calmly, as they walked inside of the building.

"So…did you call the League?" asked Roy, crossing his arms as he looked around the area, as if expecting something to happen.

"We have contacted Agent Karr to get agents from the league here." Amanda said calmly as she says, "Come, we got much to discuss in the conference room." The Titans nod as Richie looked around, standing by Static.

"Yo, this is too weird…we just got abducted by a secret government group." Richie said, his brain going into overdrive as he looks at all of the technology there. "Man, that armor looks SICK!" He said, seeing someone testing out some power armor.

"Don't touch anything, man." Virgil warned him as he saw Raven was looking around cautiously, her hood up. "Yo, you OK, Raven?"

"I am feeling much emotions here: distrust towards some of us, fear in others…though so far, the only ones that seem to not share these thoughts are those with us: King Faraday, Miss Black and miss Waller" said Raven, as suddenly as Amanda stopped.

"I'm going ahead, excuse me." Said Amanda as she walked ahead, but was stopped by Beast Boy.

"Not until we get some answers, first. What's going on here?" Beast Boy asked, giving Amanda a glare as her agents turned to the green changeling.

"That is a good question." Starfire asked, walking up as she looks at Amanda, "Why do you want Terra?"

"All answers will be given later." Said Amanda as she walked forward, but was stopped by a firm grip from Terra's hand, as she was standing by her as she glares.

"You will answer my friend's questions NOW." She said, her eyes narrowing a bit as the ground shook faintly at the force of the last word used.

Vera sighed at this as she says, "I did wish we would keep this calm, but you lot got to calm down."

"…What's that supposed to mean?" Nightwing asked with a glare as Vera's hands suddenly began to shift as the team suddenly got into the defensive before darts were fired at rapid speed, hitting each Titan.

"Gah! What was…that…for…?" Roy asked as he passed out, followed by the present Titans, as Starfire groaned as she glares at Vera…before also passing out from a second dart hitting her.

"Was that even necessary, Vera?" Amanda with a flat tone as Vera shrugs as her hand turned back to normal.

"Eh, wouldn't want to risk it, love. 'sides, they'll wake up soon. Just a little more rested after their little Playdate with them Metahumans back in Dakota." Vera said as she looks at the agents that were standing there. "Don't stand dere like bloody twits, help them get to the conference room. Those Leaguers would be here any minute so we need to get them back" Vera then walked up, as a man walked up.

"Hold it, ladies." Said the man as an older man came over. He was wearing a dark brown-green military jacket with many medals on it with a General insignia on his shoulders as he looks down at the Titans as he scowled. "What is THAT doing here?" He asked, pointing to Starfire.

"She is here to help with the mission, General." Amanda said calmly as she walked by him with Vera and the others. "Keep your Xenophobia down a bit while we do this, OK? We need you at 100% for the mission briefing."

General Lane just scowled at this as he followed suit, a frown present on his face.

(Later…)

(CADMUS Conference Room. March 20th, 17:34)

Snapper Carr lead a group of Justice League members towards the conference room as he asks, "So…mind telling me why it's only you nine that I'm bringing?" looking at the current League members with him: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Katana, Alchemia and Supergirl.

Alchmia, wearing his armor again, walked by as he tapped his covered-up chin. "Lets see…the Flash is taking care of some business with GL at Central City."

"Etrigan and Zatanna are taking on Tala the Mystic from getting the Medallion of First Magic." Wonder Woman continued for him, as she looks around the area.

"Wildcat is babysitting Robin and Spoiler with Black Canary, likely to train them." Green Arrow explained as batman gave him a flat look at the 'babysitting' part as he gave a sheepish smile. "Speedy is with them though, so she's OK."

"Samurai-sensei is taking care of some business in Tokyo. He may be a member of the League, but his first priority is our home. He is currently dealing with rumors involving a mysterious mystic named Wa'arzen." Katana explained as she looked at everything calmly.

"Aquaman and Aqualad are dealing with some issues back in Atlantis after that whole thing with his brother trying to do a coup." Superman explained as he says, "And Captain Marvel is…taking care of some business back in Fawcett."

"SO that leaves you with the rest of us." Supergirl grinned as Cyborg looked around the area, a frown forming, the younger Kryptonian saw this and asks, "Hey Cyborg, you OK?"

"Huh? Yeah…just peachy." He said, looking towards a certain someone in the lab, who noticed him and looked away. The man in question appeared to be an older, African American man with graying black hair, dark brown eyes and a slender build with a white labcoat over a black shirt and blue jeans.

"Come on, lets keep it moving." Said Carr as he lead the group ahead as someone stood infront of a door. 'ah, Dubbilex. Good to see you."

"Oh hi there, si-Great Rao!" Supergirl said in shock as she finally noticed the man in front of the door wasn't exactly human. He appeared to be a humanoid being with dark gray skin, dark violet eyes, horns coming out of his forehead and wearing a white and gray coat and gray pants.

"Kara, be polite." Superman said with a frown as Kara gave a sheepish look as he looks at the man and says, "I apologize, she's not usually like this."

"I am aware. Greetings, I am Dubbilex. I am a member of CADMUS, one of their first attempts of human/alien hybrid creation." Said Dubbilex as Superman and Martian Manhunter looked at Carr suspiciously.

"Before I came here." The teleporter said quickly. "Though it would explain how they could give me teleportation powers…" He looked to the left at this as J'onn noticed something and mind melded with Dubbilex.

"…you…are made from my own DNA?" Asked J'onn in shock. Dubbilex just nods at this as he lead them ahead.

"After your first battle against the Human Flame, some scientists in CADMUS wanted to have someone like you for interrogation. But due to a certain staff member's…untrusting nature towards aliens, they went with the next best thing: DNAliens, a mix of human and alien DNA." Said Dubbilex calmly.

"Are there others?" Asked Kara, curious as Dubbilex shook his head at this.

"I am one of a kind as far as I know. But enough about my past, let us get you into the mission briefing room. You are needed there." Said Dubbilex as he opened the door just as the group saw Terra was being forced into a chair.

"Let us go." Said Terra as she was forced into the chair as the other Titans got up with annoyed looks.

'what's going on here?" asked Beast Boy in annoyance as the Raven looked around as she saw Amanda walk into the room.

"Hello Terra." Amanda said with a nod as she looks at the Titans and League. "Ah, you have all arrived."

"What do you want, Waller?" asked Terra with an annoyed look as Waller gave them an apologetic look as she reached into her pocket and got out something: A hair comb with a butterfly end to it.

"Miss Waller, what is going on here?" Diana asked as Terra picked up the comb, still in shock.

"…Where did you get this?" Terra simply asked, glaring at her as Amanda sat down across from her.

"Terra…or should I say, Princess Tara Markov of Markovia. Your brother, Prince Brion, has gone missing." Amanda said as Terra went wide-eyed in shock, as everyone looked confused.

"Wait, time out. Terra is a princess? As in…ball gowns, tiaras and tea parties?" Asked Static, earning death glares from both Wonder Woman and Starfire.

"Don't use outdated customs, my boy. It's no longer the 16th century, after all." Amanda said as she shows an image of the country in question. "Anyway, Markovia is a small country near the France and Belgium. It's a lush land with plenty of resources to allow for a good economic system. They are mainly farmers and miners there."

"It is also one of the very few remaining monarchies in the world." Dubbilex continued as it shows images of last night. "Currently the country is being invaded. The Markovian government has told us they believe the perpetrators are from the Middle Eastern country of Biyalia. Which is under the dictatorship of Colonel Rumaan Harjavti."

"Isn't Rumaan Harjavti's adopted daughter, Malika, getting married to Perdita's uncle Vertigo?" Green Arrow asked as several people looked at him. "What? Someone has to watch the news on this team."

"Yes...and it is odd that the wedding is planned during the same period...but there is a threat from Biyalia that I am sure Vlativa doesn't know about. We already asked Princess Perdita, she didn't have any information about the group in question." Vera said calmly, looking at the heroes as Batman frowns. "And Colonel Harjavti isn't answering any of our questions we have on the matter either."

"And who is this group?" Martian Manhunter asked as Amanda sighed a bit as she rubbed her temple.

"The threat comes from a hidden group from that country…the HIVE." Amanda explained as superman raised an eyebrow.

"The HIVE?" Superman asked, confused as Amanda revealed an image of two different agents: one male and another female. Both wore black and yellow armor styled bees with helmets that had two large, dark red eyeholes and had an Hexagon-shaped insignia on their chest, which had a stylized 'H" on the front.

'They are sort of the 'Secret Police' of the Queen Bee, a well-known terrorist leader who hails from Biyalia. No one knows who she is, all we know her little worker bees are always on the loop. Being hired by anyone who wishes to take them out." Said Amanda calmly.

"So what do you need us to do?" Superman asked, raising an eyebrow as Amanda looks at them calmly.

"Since Geo-force has gone missing for the time being, no one is protecting Markovia. Meaning that if Queen Bee decides to give the country a wipe out, we cannot stop it. We wish for you all to go under the radar and stop them before something happens. But since we do not wish to start a third World war, try and keep this as quiet as possible. Is this alright with you all?" Waller asked, as the group looked at each other.

Terra looked at the comb before clenching it as she says, "We're in. Right?" Terra looked at the others at this as Nightwing nods.

"This is your home we're talking about, Terra. Of course we're in." Nightwing said with a smile as the Titans nod in agreement.

"But next time, tell your crazy British friend there to NOT tranquilize us." Roy said with a glare as a chuckle is heard behind him.

"Aww, you're no fun, honey." A femine voice said as he felt a pair of invisible arms go around him as a figure suddenly formed, making everyone go back a bit. The woman in question was a familiar woman clad in a black and green ensemble with a cat mask on, which she removed, revealing herself to be a young woman around the Titan's age group, who smirked at the sight.

"Jade? I guess I should have expected you, huh?" Roy asked with a smirk as Oliver raised an eyebrow before clearing his throat.

"Ahem, uh, hi. This is the Justice League, and I am sure most of us want to know who you are, ma'am." Oliver said as Jade looked up with a chuckle.

"Hmm…by the Robin Hood get up, I'm guessing you're Green Arrow? I'm Jade Nyguen. I'm Roy's fiancée and the mother of his daughter, Lian. I hope you met her, she's such a sweetheart." Jade said, giving him a smile.

"Fiancée?" Oliver asked with some shock as Jade walked over and casually handed him something from her pocket and then gave the rest to the others present.

"And these are?" Batman asked, confused as Jade just grins.

"Wedding invitations, of course. Here, some extra for your teammates. Think any of you can find a ring bearer though?" Jade asked, as terra groaned.

"Jade, my home is in danger? My big brother is missing? Can you wait on the wedding planning for AFTER the mission?" Terra asked flatly as Raven shook her head at this.

"Sorry, got a bit distracted." Jade said as Green arrow looks at Amanda oddly at this.

"She's a reformed criminal, you are lucky she is acting this way instead of how she was when she was younger." Amanda said simply as she turns to Jade. "Agent Cheshire, I want you to bring our guests to our hanger. Give them the Four-One-One on the points of interest in this mission." Amanda commanded as Jade nods as she puts on her mask.

"Understood, Commander Waller. Time to show those bugs what the Black Queen is capable of." Jade said as General Lane came in with an African-american man wearing a black power suit with a 'T' painted onto his face and wearing a jacket with the words 'Fair Play' on his sleeves.

"Hello, we are the 'Kings' of Checkmate. I'm Michael Holt, the White King. And this is General Lane-"

"They know who I am. Well…two of you do." General Lane said with a glare towards Superman and Supergirl, as the younger Kryptonian scowled.

"Why are you working with him?" Supergirl asked Amanda, giving her an odd look.

"Simple: He's a good soldier and a valued ally. His personal issues are no matter to me." Amanda said as she nods to Jade, who nods back.

"Come on, General. We got a country to protect before we butt heads. Come on, we'll tell you more on the way." Jade said as she looked at Virgil and Richie. "…Though that kid is gonna need some armor. Mike, you better suit him up on the way."

"Uh, right." Michael said as he followed suit as the others followed after them, Terra putting the comb back on her hair as she followed suit, as Green Arrow looked at Batman oddly.

"Giving out wedding invitations before a big mission? Seriously?" Oliver asked Bruce, clearly confused by this.

"Women are odd at times, we can both agree there." Batman said as Wonder Woman looked at him with a sigh, looking down a bit as Raven looked at her with concern.

'So…when are you going to tell him?' Raven asked as Diana looked at her with shock. 'it is quite obvious you have a high admiration towards Bruce, Diana…but I do believe it could be beyond mere admiration.'

Diana glared at him and was about to say something…but stopped as she looked down. 'Am I that obvious?' she asked telepathically.

'…With someone like me, yes. Batman is a little harder to read than others, so I am unsure if he feels the same.' Raven said to her telepathically as she looks at Supergirl and Alchimia. 'Though you are not as obvious as he is.' Wonder Woman just chuckled at this as Raven had a faint smile on her face.

Terra sighed as she looks ahead, as she thinks, 'Brion…where are you?' she thought, looking down at this.

(Elsewhere…)

(Markovburg, Markovia. Underground location March 20th, 19:56 (American Time))

In an underground area, a man wearing a military uniform was doing a patrol before hearing someone land near by as he aimed his gun to the side before a familiar Star of David Shield was seen.

"Peace, friend. I mean no harm. In fact, I am here to help." Said the man in question as he walked up, revealing himself to be Mr. Israel. "Where is the one known as Geo-Force?"

"He is in here." Said a voice as a man walked up. He appeared to be in his mid twenties wearing a red military uniform with many medals and a sword on his side. He had short red-brown hair and dark green eyes, and wearing a medal that had a stylized 'M' in the middle.

"And you are?" Mr. Israel asked, curious. The man chuckled as he motioned the much older hero inside.

"I am King Gregor Markov, I am Geo-Force's brother." Gregor said as he led Mr. Israel into a lower area. "He was attacked by one of the marauders…a brutish fellow with great strength before being attacked by this…man with an exposed brain. He was able to draw them out…but he is now here resting.'

Mr. Israel came and saw that there was a pod in the room as he went wide-eyed. "My god…what is that device?" The pod in question was dark brown with green lining with a clear cover on it, with a strange mist going around in it.

"It's a rejuvenation chamber. It can draw the power from the earth itself to heal his wounds. And given he came into unconsciousness when he arrived…I think it's doubtful he'll wake up until tomorrow." Said a female voice as an older woman came into the room. She had graying black hair and dark blue eyes with glasses over her eyes and wearing a dark blue lab coat.

"So…have you called for help?" Mr. Israel asked, looking towards the pod as he walked over.

"Yes, we asked for the assistance of CADMUS in America. I told them to keep it on the down low. Take it you found out about the HIVE's movements?" Gregor asked as Mr. Israel nods as he moves the mist.

"Aye…and this is going to need all of the help we can get." The older hero said as he moved some mist aside, revealing the face of the young man in there: he appeared to be 21 at least with short hair and faint freckles on his face. "Whom ever this Queen Bee is…she is going to be quite dangerous."

The other two nod as they looked at the pod, unsure of what to see about this as the champion of Markovia was out of commission and, while healing, may lead to some problems if he doesn't heal fast enough.
