Ginny's P.O.V.

Ginny's first act in giving Harry space was to seek out Hermione.

She desperately needed to have a good complain about what had just happened.

So, she walked out of her room, and stepped down the stairs.

As she entered the living room, the first thing she saw was Ron, sitting at a chess table.

Only a little way away, Harry was sitting on the couch with, of course… Cho.

The two had returned from the attic looking normal, with his arm around her and her body curled up into his.

But upon Ginny's entering, Harry looked up…

He sent her a cool glance before looking back at Cho.

Ginny snorted and shook her head before striding towards Ron.

Her brother looked up at her.

'What do you want?' he asked bluntly.

Ginny raised an eyebrow.

'Where's Hermione?' she asked.

Ron scowled.

'How am I supposed to know?' he asked.

'She's your girlfriend,' said Ginny, raising an eyebrow.

'Yeah, but it's not my job to keep tabs on her,' countered Ron.

Ginny sighed at her brother.

'Right. Well, thanks for the help,' she said, turning on her heel and striding out into the backyard, completely ignoring Harry the whole way.

Fortunately, Hermione happened to be reading a book under one of the trees. Ginny walked towards her.

'Hey Hermione,' she greeted Hermione, sitting beside her.

Hermione looked up from her book.

'Oh, hello Ginny.' She smiled at her.

'What's the book?' questioned Ginny.

Hermione looked down at the volume in her hands. She shrugged lightly, putting it down on the grass. 'Nothing that I haven't read before.'

Ginny grinned.

'Is there a book you haven't read?' she asked.

Hermione scoffed.

'Now, Ginny. Don't be so ridiculous! There are plenty of books that I haven't read. I mean, I've only read so much of the Hogwarts library,' she said.

Ginny laughed before lying down and resting on the trunk of the tree.

'You've read more of it than I have.'

'That's not hard to do,' teased Hermione.

Ginny grinned.

'So, what have you been doing all this afternoon?' asked Hermione.

Ginny shrugged.

'Not much. I cleaned my room a bit, walked in on Cho and Harry have a nice make-out and Harry told me to piss off and mind my own business,' she said casually.

Hermione's eyes widened.

'What?' she asked.

Ginny sat up again.

Then she relayed the story to Hermione, not missing out a single detail.

At the end… Hermione looked shocked.

'H-he said that? All? To you? Why?' she asked.

'It's a long story. I think he was a bit confused… and he was taking that out on me, I guess,' explained Ginny.

'And are you okay? You seem oddly unaffected.'

'Well…' Ginny shrugged. 'I don't know. I kind of know he didn't honestly mean to hurt me. And maybe some space will be good for us, you know? Just so I can… really have a chance to get over him.'

Hermione looked surprised.

Then she smiled.

'I'm glad you think so. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you… so you should give yourself every chance possible to try to get over him.'

Ginny nodded and smiled.

'I agree. And, uh… thanks for listening Hermione,' she said.

Hermione smiled widely at her, 'Not a problem. Now would you like to go inside and have some lunch?'

Ginny shrugged.

'Yeah. Sure.'

The two girls entered the living room again and immediately, Ron turned towards them.

'You found her. Good. What are you doing now?' he asked.

Ginny laughed.

'Lunch. We're about to get some lunch.'

'Oh,' said Ron, his face brightening.

Hermione laughed.

'Care to join?'

Ron grinned.

'I'd love to,' he replied. 'I'm starved.'

'As always,' giggled Hermione and Ron stood, taking her hand and pulling her into the kitchen.

Once they were gone, Ginny allowed herself one look at Harry…

This time he was alone and looking right back at her.

Before he could drop her gaze, Ginny asked. 'Where's Cho?'

Harry frowned.

'She left for her place. She's going to Scotland for the rest of the holidays, she was just here to say goodbye.'

Ginny looked at him.

Then she snorted and shook her head.

'And what a goodbye she gave you,' she said.

Harry blinked.

So Ginny simply shrugged and followed Hermione and Ron into the kitchen, satisfied with the look of shock on his face.

Maybe this whole getting over him thing wasn't going to be so bad after all…
