Naruto was at a training ground. It was near a waterfall which would probably be good for training. He liked the land but first he had to find out some chakra control exercises. First there was water walking, a much harder form of tree walking. Naruto at first didn't believe that as he had mastered tree walking.

Naruto also saw a mention of shadow clones. He went to that chapter and began reading:

Shadow clones are physical copies of you made of chakra. Unlike regular clones, shadow clones can do anything the creator puts them up to including chakra exercises. The regular Jounin can make up to 3-4 clones. It can be used for training but be warned the shadow clones take up alot of chakra, so much so that even a few clones can drain a person completely.

Naruto continued reading on and found out that clones could send information back to the creator which made them great for infiltration missions and training. When he checked up on training, he found out that there was a subsection on training where a shadow clone could help you do training in half a day.

Naruto luckily had so much chakra, he could summon fifty clones easily. Which is exactly what he did.

"Go do water-walking," said Naruto to the clones, to which the clones began walking but turned back to find Naruto sitting at a tree, reading.

"Why aren't you?" asked a clone, stupidly.

"Because if I do the training, I get wet but clones can be dispelled so you guys go do this," said Naruto, smiling as the clones understood the logic.

"That's not fair," said a clone to which almost all of them nodded.

"I don't care, do it or I will dispel you and make another batch of clones," said Naruto, incredibly annoyed at the clones' stupidity.

The clones, clearly not wanting to be dispelled, moved towards the water and began water walking until Naruto decided to focus on reading the book and see more physical exercise.

Naruto decided to read up on the book, after the chakra control, there was a lot of training in one's body and mind. There was a whole chapter on diet, which Naruto saw as basically a rant. It told him that he had to be more healthy as eating only one thing like ramen is bad for you.

Naruto hated that piece of advice but kept it at heart because if it helped him become Hokage then he would listen to any advice given to him. Even if it was to give up the 'food of the gods'.

"Fine, I'll get a better diet," said Naruto aloud to no-one in particular. Hiruzen, who was watching this through the crystal ball with Iruka, was starting to love that book more than anything.

"That book might be the greatest thing that I have ever seen," said Iruka, amazed that a book could convince Naruto to change so many things like his diet and clothes.

"It convinced him to give up both ramen and orange 'kill me' jumpsuits, with how he is listening to that book, he could actually become a great shinobi," said Iruka, continuing his dazed rant. Every Anbu and the Hokage nodded in understanding.

"But sir, may I speak freely?" asked an Anbu guard who had no love for Naruto, as because of how many times he was caught in a prank and he had seen his 'skills' as a ninja.

"Allowed," said the Hokage, knowing what the Anbu was going to say.

"Why allow him to have it? Why not give it to a prodigy like Sasuke Uchiha who could use it to a higher degree?" asked the Anbu member.

"That is because of a multitude of reasons, one only he can access the scroll as he is a direct descendant of my sensei, second it is his birthright as the descendant, third with how much Naruto is trying he will most likely become a good shinobi, fourth it keeps Naruto loyal to the village, and finally Sasuke Uchiha is a flight-risk who could become a traitor at anytime, would you really want him to have this knowledge to take with him?" answered the Hokage intelligently to which Anbu and Iruka understood.

"No sir, why haven't we actually given Sasuke Uchiha a mental and loyalty test?" asked the Anbu, wearing a bear mask.

"Everytime I try the damn civilian council and my advisors shut me down," said Hiruzen, sighing.

"But I have hope in Naruto to stop him if he ever goes rogue," explained Hiruzen " Naruto is on the team not just so Kakashi could train, he was also there to watch Sasuke,"

-Back with Naruto-

Naruto had read a lot of the book until the sun set, now was the time to go home before gathering his clones and dispelling them. It felt as though he had been doing this exercise for more than a month.

He decided to test out his theory and understanding by moving over to the pond and beginning to walk on the water. He let in a breath before focusing chakra to his feet and beginning to walk on water.

It worked, he was walking on water before walking back and smiling. With shadow clones he could do so much more but unbeknownst to Naruto, he was being watched by Kakashi who was following Naruto and seeing him read a book confused the copy ninja greatly.

Kakashi saw this as a great shock as Naruto rushed home and went to bed. He quietly entered his student's home to find a book and a scroll with seals in them with a blood seal.

So Naruto is related to whoever wrote this scroll thought Kakashi until he opened the book to the first page No way! He is related to the second, it seems Minato-sensei didn't know anything, no wonder Naruto is training harder and this is where he got the armour from, I guess I should leave him to it until our next meeting in a few days.

Naruto knew Kakashi was there as when he read the book, it told him to sleep with one eye open. Naruto was thankful that Kakashi left everything here, he was most likely just curious about how Naruto was getting training.

Naruto focussed on the leaf cutting exercise and waterfall exercise, mostly waterfall walking and stopping the water fall on day two and three. Kakashi was obviously watching this from a distance and taking notes on the exercise. At the end of day he took out a chakra induction paper.

When he put his chakra into it, the paper split into two before becoming damp, meaning Naruto had a wind and water affinity. Naruto then decided to focus on water affinity on the fourth day.

On the fourth day, Naruto painted his armour black and a darkish-brownish shade of orange. It has Naruto's liking but could hide him just fine.

He then decided to focus on his taijutsu style, and learnt two ninjutsu attacks, water release: wild water wave and water release: rising water slicer.

Naruto decided to summon 150 clones. He and fifty worked on their taijutsu, having ten work on basics with him, while the others focused on other moves. Another fifty worked on wild water waves and the rest worked on the rising water slicer.

By the end of the day, he was incredibly tired and decided to head home after trying out several techniques for taijutsu and the two Jutsus. Naruto decided tonight to read up on different clans, specifically the Uchiha Clan.

Dear descendant,

The Uchiha clan is a clan possessed by evil.

This was the first line of the chapter and as Naruto read on about the curse of hatred, how the Uchiha act, how to know if the Uchiha is affected by the curse and a subsection on how dangerous fan girls could be. Naruto noticed that a lot of the things said described Sasuke and Sakura.

This gave Naruto some important revelations: He had to test their loyalty, he couldn't trust them, Sasuke might be a danger to the village, Naruto might have to kill Sasuke and Sakura, He would have to talk to Hiruzen and Kakashi but he went to bed.
