Sasuke and Sakura were annoyed to no end. Both their Sensei and their idiot team mate were both missing. Kakashi was expected to be late but Naruto? Naruto was rarely so late that he matched Kakashi, he was still late, but how much can you expect from the 'dead-last'?
They felt some leaves gather around a singular person, and in a flash of smoke Kakashi Hatake was there with his usual eye smile that just pissed everyone off. It was annoying to no end but there was still one big question that was being asked by everyone except Kakashi, where was Naruto?
"Kaka-sensei, you are late!" shouted his pink-haired student "Now where is Naruto-baka?"
"What do you mean Sakura?" asked Kakashi "Naruto is right there,". He pointed towards a tree and they looked but didn't notice him there as they had already looked around but hadn't seen his bright neon orange jumpsuit. They turned back to Kakashi and then jumped back, seeing Naruto there.
But there was something different about Naruto. Not just his clothes which were honestly an improvement. Instead there was armour painted dark orange and black which actually was quite an improvement. He was wearing a happuri on his head which furthered his look. But the biggest difference was his eyes.
His eyes… Once filled with the joy and innocence of a child, it held a coldness and icy nature to them now, one that scared their teammates, as it wasn't the fact that it didn't suit Naruto, it suited Naruto to a terrifying level.
Naruto suddenly started laughing at how ridiculous they looked and sounded as he appeared. Sasuke narrowed his eyes while Sakura decided Naruto needed to be taught a lesson of a better calibre.
"Naruto-baka, how dare you scare me and Sasuke-kun? How dare you act cool and wear that armour?" asked Sakura as she was marching up to him but Naruto simply raised an eyebrow which angered her greatly "Take this Baka!". She punched with all of her strength, strength that could send people flying.
The punch almost reached but Naruto was gone and there stood Sasuke Uchiha confused as he received a painful punch that sent him into a tree. Both Kakashi and Naruto were holding back laughs as Sakura got even more enraged and decided that Naruto was too annoying for this.
"Baka, look what you made me do!" shouted the pink-haired fury as she tried to punch him again but he had again substituted himself with Sasuke sending the poor boy flying again.
"Sakura, stop, you might give Sasuke a concussion!" said Naruto as he started laughing at Sakura who went to help Sasuke up who pushed her away.
"Okay, okay, Sakura stop!" said Kakashi, getting over the humour that Naruto had instilled "That's enough! Sakura stops bullying Sasuke, it won't help with training or missions if we have to take him to the hospital."
"But sensei-" said Sakura as Sasuke finally got up holding his head and sending glares towards Sakura and Naruto who returned the glare with coldness.
It made Sasuke shiver as whatever had happened to Naruto over the week, had even changed his personality, so drastically.
"Now what are you going to be doing for training today?" asked Kakashi, curious to see what his students planned for the day.
"I am going to practise a new Jutsu, practise Kenjutsu and work on Taijutsu," said Naruto to which Kakashi nodded to one of his students who actually had a decent plan.
"What Jutsu exactly?" asked Kakashi with an eye smile.
"Water release: Water colliding wave," said Naruto to which both of his colleagues looked at him as though he was insane with wide eyes.
"Naruto, are you insane?" asked Sakura, worrying about her teammate.
"No," said Naruto with a smile, Sakura decided that Kakashi could convince their 'misguided' friend.
"Sensei, tell Naruto he can't do that jutsu, it's a b-rank jutsu and Naruto can't even do d-level, he might die," said Sakura pleading with her sensei to which Naruto was a bit confused.
"Sorry, Sakura, but Naruto can actually learn that Jutsu, he has chakra reserves higher than all three of us combined," said Sakura to which both Sasuke and Sakura look at Naruto who just shrugs his shoulders, "ironically that is the reason why he can't do d-rank jutsu, his chakra reserves are too high,"
"But what about his chakra control?" asked Sasuke.
"I have improved my chakra control to a level where I can mask mine so you can't sense it," said Naruto but Sakura had a few questions about this.
"How could you improve that quickly?" asked Sakura to which Naruto decided to go on about shadow clones and all their abilities, which have already been covered and won't be covered again.
"So why can't we make shadow clones?" asked Sasuke as if it could improve him so much that he should be able to learn these techniques.
"Simple, you don't have the reserves of Naruto's level, you Sasuke, might be able to make a few clones but it would completely drain you, while Sakura will be knocked out with a clone that had a sickly expression as though it died so I suggest improving your reserves before I teach you this Jutsu," said Kakashi smiling as they understood. Sakura and Sasuke remembered Naruto's regular clones and decided to spare themselves the embarrassment.
"Now what do you two plan to do?" asked Kakashi trying to get back to his origin point.
"I plan to improve my reserves so I can make shadow clones to help with my training," said Sasuke to which Naruto narrowed his eyes but gave a nod, he was still suspicious of his two teammates.
"I planned to improve my spying and intelligence ability," said Sakura giggling to which Naruto put his head into his hand and shaked his head while both Sasuke and Kakashi sighed.
"Alright, I will help all of you with this," said Kakashi as he made a shadow clone. It went with Sasuke to improve his reserves as Sakura followed him.
"Now Naruto, why were you being cautious of your teammates?" asked Kakashi as he had noticed Naruto's behaviour around both of them. Naruto went on to explain the curse of hatred and how it relates to Sasuke and fangirls and their dangers to which Kakashi nodded his head understanding that Naruto was making logical points about it.
"So what will you do?" asked Kakashi as he hoped Naruto didn't have plans to kill his teammates.
"I will try to help them to the best of my ability, trying to get them to rise above their tendencies and if that fails I will do what is necessary," said Naruto, sounding more like a shinobi than ever before. Kakashi was both proud of Naruto and his maturity in this situation but sad at the fact that Naruto might have to kill those people to protect the village.
"Now let's get training," said Kakashi, clapping his hands together as Naruto made a hundred shadow clones and split them up. Naruto split them up into two groups, one went to improve taijutsu while the other half went and learnt the colliding wave Jutsu.
"So start by swinging that sword a thousand times like this" said Kakashi to give Naruto a feel for the sword as techniques wouldn't work if you couldn't hold the sword right. Kakashi forced Naruto to restart every time he failed or dropped the sword.
By the time the afternoon came around, Naruto was tired and sweaty and he dispelled his clones allowing him a new Jutsu plus improved taijutsu as he relaxed for an hour as Sasuke and Sakura came back from their 'training' (Sasuke did actual training, Sakura just spied on him.)
"Okay, let's do some sparring, first Sasuke and Sakura, while Naruto rests," said Kakashi as Naruto lay down and let his body rest until he could physically fight.
The first spar was between Sasuke and Sakura and it ended quickly as Sakura could not actually bring herself to hit Sasuke resulting in an early victory. Then Kakashi against Sasuke which lasted a while as Kakashi tested all of Sasuke's abilities which showed his improvement.
Naruto was finally ready to fight and Sasuke was excited to beat the 'dead-last' and show him how much stronger he had become.
"Begin!" shouted Kakashi as he and Sakura watched the spar with interest. Rather Sakura was watching to see how easily Sasuke would beat Naruto.
Naruto began the fight by summoning a single shadow clone and had him fight Sasuke, to judge Sasuke's capabilities and to lay down the trap. Sasuke saw how much Naruto's capabilities had improved as he was able to not just match Sasuke but beat him.
Sasuke activates his sharingan to match Naruto's new taijutsu style, a style he hadn't previously seen before but it didn't help much as Naruto had been improving a lot more than the week before.
"Fire release: phoenix fire sage technique," said Sasuke to which Naruto's shadow clone dispelled and Naruto appeared kicking Sasuke in the face before Sasuke got angry and threw some Kunai which Naruto dodged.
He rushed at Naruto doing a Jutsu to which Naruto returned with a Jutsu of his own.
"Fire release: great fireball Jutsu" said Sasuke as Naruto replied with "Water release: wild water waves,"
The large fireball was meat with water that absorbed it releasing steam. Sasuke jumped forward continuing his taijutsu match with Naruto who jumped back every few strikes leading to Sasuke believing that he was pushing him back but really luring him into a trap.
Sasuke jumped into the ninja rope to which Naruto pulled it which tied Sasuke straight up and was surrounded by a sphere of explosive tags to which Sasuke and Kakashi were impressed.
If they were enemies Sasuke would be dead as Naruto would let the explosives off.
"Okay, the spar is over, Naruto untie Sasuke, you win!" said Kakashi with an eye smile as Naruto did as he was ordered as Sasuke fell on to his but after being cutloose from the rope. Naruto offered Sasuke a hand to which Sasuke accepted in awe of Naruto's progress.
"Kaka-sensei, Naruto cheated!" shouted Sakura, annoying all three.
"Sakura, I didn't cheat, I used my pranking and trapping experience to lay a trap and lured Sasuke straight into it, I just used ninja skills" said Naruto to which Kakashi nodded.
"Naruto, won this time fair and square using actual skills," said Sasuke "though how did you get this good?"
"Kaka-sensei can explain," said Naruto, giving Kakashi permission and also telling him that he knew about Kakashi following him. Kakashi had a large sense of pride in his student for not just detecting him but knowing he read his book.
"Naruto here owns a scroll from the second Hokage," said Kakashi to which Sasuke and Sakura looked at Naruto.
"Baka, I demand you give that scroll to Sasuke-kun, he could use it better than you, " said Sakura to which Sasuke agreed in his own way.
"Naruto, as the last Uchiha, I demand you give me this scroll," said Sasuke as if it could get him that, I could finally have the strength to kill Itachi.
"Sorry, Sasuke I can't give you the scroll as it is my inheritance and plus it has a blood seal on it, you couldn't use it if you tried," said Naruto smiling as the cogs turned in Sasuke and Sakura's head.
"I-i-s i-i-t t-true?" asked Sakura to which she received a nod "Kaka-sensei, is he lying?"
"No, Naruto is the last living descendent of Tobirama Senju," said Kakashi smiling as both turned back to Naruto who again shrugged his shoulders. Sakura was most likely going to tell this to everybody.
